Speaker 1 (00:48):
Hey, June?

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Okay, I got some questions, but thanks all good?

Speaker 2 (00:52):
All right, He's okay, all right, This is honest response.
He's okay, okay. He's the guy's distrod right because he
met this woman jewels and I got to know kind
of the backstory about how you met and about how
many dates you've been on and kind of where things
are now. But what we do know is that she's
not calling you back all of a sudden, So what
kind of give us the backstory?

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Yeah, I kind of got in the nutshell there. But yeah,
so Jules and I we met on Bumble. We went
out for drinks, just one date so far. The date
was I mean, that day was great. I thought I
had a great time, and honestly, at the end, I

(01:32):
was dying to see her again. But right now she's
just not responding to my texts. I tried calling her
once nothing and I just I don't know why.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Okay, you look back on this date. That was a
weird note. I don't know where that came from. So
you look back on this date, and I asked this
question every time, And but really though, like the conversation
was flowing, no sort of awkward topics. You know, she
didn't you didn't feel like she was trying to fake
her way out of the leaving early or I mean

(02:04):
really like, because again we all you can tell when
there's a vibe and when there's not a vibe, and
you're saying there was vibe, but then when you've called
her to try and set up another date, she's not responding. Right, Yeah,
all right, well, let's call Jeweles. In just a second,
we're gonna hang up, or we're not gonna hang up.
We're gonna play a song.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Come back.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
I'm gonna I'm gonna call Jewles. You'll be on the
phone at the same time, and we're gonna ask these questions. Hey, Colin,
all right, let's call Jewels. You guys met on one
of the dating apps. Bumble, I believe you said, and
you went on a date, you had a great time,
and you were really looking forward to scheduling another date.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
He left the date.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
You're like, this is great. I really like her. I
want to see her again. You've greeched out and she
hasn't responded to you, and you want to know why.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Correct.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Okay, let's call Jewles now. Good luck, Colin, Thank you.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Hi is this Jewles? He is Jules High. My name
is Fred.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
I'm calling from the Fred's Show, the Morning radio show,
and I have to tell you that we are on
the radio right now and I would need your permission
to continue with the call. Can we chat on the
air for a little bit. You can hang up anytime
you want.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
What's it about?

Speaker 2 (03:15):
So it's about a guy named Colin, who I guess
you met on Bumble. Do you remember going out with
Colin recently?

Speaker 3 (03:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Yeah, I do. Okay, So what happened with him?

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Because we just talked to him and he described your
datas successful in his opinion, and he said he was
dying to see you again. He was excited to see you,
and he's reached out and you're not responding at all,
and he's confused about that, so he asked us to help.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Why are you not calling him back?

Speaker 4 (03:41):
Well, originally, when we matched, I was excited and he
was really cute, and I was really excited because he
aped me out as soon as we started talking, so
I felt like he was the real thing. He wanted
something serious like me, so that.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
All sounded great.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
He was a total gentleman because he wanted me to
choose out the spot that.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
We were going to. Okay, I chose a spot that
was really.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
Close by, was about a block away. It's a dive bar,
and he said he was so down, so I thought
it was chill. I thought it was a good idea
for us to go there, and I was excited and
things were going well, and then he decided.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
To play music on that.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Touch tunes thing.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
You pulled out an app and then he started to
play some music.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Basically, so they had they had a juke box, They
had a touch tunes and it was playing whatever. But
then you you know, some places of what you get
on and you know, buy whatever songs you want to hear.
So that's so he's like, let's play some music, and
you're like, great, let's do that.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
Basically, Yeah, I guess I was looking forward at hearing
his give music case.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
I just got to explain to everyone what a jukebox is.
But you know whatever, you know, this is my job.
I'm painting a picture, you know, I'm building a picture. Okay,
So all right, so this guy picked some songs. Now
that he do you have any input in this or
did he just decide on his own this is what
we're going to listen to.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
He decided on his own, Okay.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
I was I was curious to just hear it out.
I feel like I like lots of different music, so
I was eager to find some common ground there.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
And you can tell a lot about somebody by the
songs they choose. Okay, I have a feeling that's where
we're going here. So what what sort of kid rock
song did he put on the Like?

Speaker 1 (05:30):
What did they do?

Speaker 4 (05:31):
You know? I think I would have rather a kid
rock honestly.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
He played Gang and Style. Oh okay, okay?

Speaker 5 (05:41):
Like ten though?

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Was he getting like was it like, you know, I
don't know, this is kind of funny.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
I thought, so.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
I thought he was trolling everybody, right, and so I
was embarrassed and I just let it slide. And then
it just got worse from there. We started hitting yeah,
we started hitting mom but number five the Harlem Shake,
and I mean it's not a.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Bad song, the Harlem Shake. Okay.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
He played HONEYMANA Have You from Mulan?

Speaker 5 (06:18):
Which he played a song from Mulan? You know what
the problem here for that that one?

Speaker 1 (06:30):
I'm okay?

Speaker 2 (06:31):
So maybe all right, so maybe you have an issue
with Mulan. Who has an issue with Mulan? But I
think you put it all together and uh And at
this point now I'm wondering, like, are you being serious?

Speaker 1 (06:43):
How did you say to him, like are you being
serious about this? I mean I started looking I'm like, okay, that's.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
Enough, like you, we're trolling everybody. But then he started
taking along, so I knew that this was the real thing.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
And what is the rest of the are doing while,
you know, when we transition from Gangham style to Mambo
number five to Mulan what? What is what's happening within
the establishment?

Speaker 1 (07:10):
I'm wordified.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
I mean, this is my neighborhood, diophar and it cleared out.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
Everyone laughed little by little.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Wow, it's just that you can't say deeds to your spots,
you know.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
That's the problem is they can embarrass you, and then
you got a problem. I t also all this time, Paulina,
I've seen it. Now Colin is here. I forgot to
mention that Colin is here. Colin, you were kidding. I mean,
this is nothing wrong with maybe one of these songs
independently in a different setting, maybe in the case of Milan,
perhaps there children around.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
I don't enough, I.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Mean at home, or maybe you're alone, I mean, you
know whatever, But like, were you?

Speaker 1 (07:48):
You were kidding? You guys don't like gun stop things.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
Five point six billion views on YouTube.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Still like no, yeah, that that doesn't mean much.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
I mean, I don't know. I mean, or maybe it
means that people enjoy the song. But again, there's a
time and a place. I guess, you know, you got
to kind of match the vibe and you're in a
dive bar and you're playing you know, Gangham style and
lou Bega.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
I don't know if that's necessarily the right right venue.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
You got to read the room, and I mean I
was reading room.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
No, well I don't think you work because everyone left
the room, so the room, the room was empty when
you were done.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
So so you're serious.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
He's are songs that you actually enjoy, and this is
the kind of music you're into, and this is like
what you would listen to at the house or whatever.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
I mean, Yeah, it's a good time. Like it means
I'm fun.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
It means I'm impulsive, like.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
I don't know, it's like it means something.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
Yeah, yeah, it shows like a free spirit.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
You know.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
It sounds like the inside of a rainforest cafe if
they were still open or or something. All right, So
he's serious about this, he's he's standing on business as
it pertains to these songs that he played on the
jukebox at the dive bar on your day, Jules.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
Look, let's let's just.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Say we say, all right, hey, maybe maybe we don't
pick music in public anymore, like maybe we saved them for,
you know, our private lives or something like that.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
I don't know, but he seems like a nice enough guy.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
I agree with you on this sort of Maybe the
music taste is not aligned, but would you give him
another shot? We'll pay for it, and we will take away,
we will erase from his phone the touch tunes out.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
I mean, I'm sweet, but I think I'm good. I
appreciate it them.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
We've heard a lot worse. We've heard a lot better,
but we've heard a lot worse. But I just want
to be sure you do not want to go out
with him again. Okay, all right, Hey Colin, Look, man,
I'm sure there's somebody out there who's got the same
whimsy that you do, you know, the same zest for
the Harlem shake that you do. Man, that person's got

(09:59):
to be out there, and I I hope that you
find her. And I appreciate your time

Speaker 3 (10:02):
Both of you, and thanks for the answers.
