Speaker 1 (00:00):
I've never been left waiting by the phone.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
It's the Fred Show. Terry, Hi, good.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
Morning, Hey, good morning, how are you doing?

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Great?

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Welcome to waiting by the phone trying to figure out
what's going on with this, uh, this Tory character going
tell us about Tory, about you know, how you met
any dates you've been on? And then why do you
think you're being ghosted?

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Well, okay, so we met on bumble and from there,
you know, chatted a bit, got up the rapport, and
decided that we would go out for a dinner date.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
And it was really great. I mean I was just
like really into him right off the bat, but like
I was expecting maybe like an ask out at the
end of that first date, but it didn't happen. I
was a little disappointed, and it just seemed different right
after the date because he was super responsive before, but

(00:57):
now it's like he barely, like he was taking a
long time to text back, and now he's like not
texting back at all.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Okay, So yeah, that man's a pretty good sign that
something's up, because if the person's typically very responsive and
they were excited about you before the date and then
you don't hear much of anything, after the date that
it's like, Okay, well what happened?

Speaker 4 (01:15):
Yeah, And I'm honestly I'm like, worry, something happened to him.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Maybe, you know, look at that, that could be maybe
the man. Maybe the man was sick or so maybe
he got measles. We can't joke about this. This is
a serious thing's happening, you know.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
I think it's like, yeah, no, he could be I
hope he's like I just hope he's safe, because there's
no way that he would be go kidny after it.
This is like literally a perfect date.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Well right, I mean there's no there's no way that
you did anything weird because that's not that can't be
never to no, no, no.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
No, Scout's honor.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
I mean me not at all careful, but I don't know.
Let's call Tory. Let's see if we can figure out
what's going on for you. All jokes aside. The hope
is always, genuinely is that we can straighten out whatever's
going on and I get you the answers that you're
looking for and hopefully set you up on another date
that we pay for.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
Okay, oh wow, yes, I'm so down for that.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Let's see what happens next Part two of Waiting by
the Phone. Right after this song, Sabrina Carpenter a new
Sabrina Carpenter song for us. This is exciting back in too,
Sabrina Carpenter, Busy Woman. The French Show is on the
radio on the iHeart app Live and anytime. Search for
the Freends Show on demand. Make us up preset, Hey,
carry yeah, all right, welcome back. Let's call Tory. You guys,
you met on a dating app. I believe it was Bumble,

(02:30):
you said, and you know, there was a lot of
communication before the date, and then you went on this
date and you felt like everything went really well and
you were looking forward to seeing Tory again for another date.
Except you haven't heard it much at all or if anything,
since that date. So he goes from being super communicative
to not at all, and you want to know why

(02:52):
you got it?

Speaker 3 (02:52):
All right?

Speaker 2 (02:53):
What's the word? Right, Let's call Tory now? Good luck?
Carry Hello?

Speaker 3 (03:03):
Hi?

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Is this Toy? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (03:06):
Tory?

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Hey, good morning. My name is Fred.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
I'm calling from the Fred's Show, the Morning radio Show,
and I have to tell you that we are on
the radio right now and I would need your permission
to continue.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
With the call.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Can we chat for just a second. You can hang
up anytime you'd like.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
I mean, do I win something?

Speaker 1 (03:21):
You did not win anything? Well, I'm always quick to
say that you didn't win anything, but maybe you did.
I suppose that's in the eye of the beholder. But
we're calling on behalf of a woman named Carrie. Do
you remember meeting Carrie on one of the dating apps
on Bumble and going on a date recently?

Speaker 5 (03:39):
Of course, yeah, I absolutely remember.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Okay, that's a great sign.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
So she reached out to us and told us that
she enjoyed getting to know you via text and before
the date and then going on the date that she
thought was very successful. But she says that you she
feels like you're ghosting her since the date and she
doesn't know why.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Okay, Well, first off, let me say Harry was really cute.

Speaker 5 (04:01):
You know, we matched from Bumble, and you know, I
thought she was shut as can be, and so I
asked her out, and you know, we got to the
restaurant and we met up in person. But I gotta
be honest, as soon as we got there, I couldn't
put my finger on it, but there was just like
something was off. About Carrie, and I just immediately, you know,

(04:23):
I didn't want to waste her time. I knew I
wasn't into it, so I stayed for a drink, and
you know, then I told her that I had to go,
and she wasn't really accepting that I had to go
at first, and then she asked if I wanted to
hang out somewhere else or if I wanted to go
to one of our places, and you.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Know, I was, I was very polite.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
I declined and I said goodbye, and you know, I
thought that was it. But about halfway home, I realized
there was a white car that had been following me. Okay,
so I slowed down and I realized it was Carrie.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
And what home is that?

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Did you go home?

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Or where did you go?

Speaker 5 (05:04):
Well, I was halfway home and I noticed this car
was like following me. And I know, I'm not surprised
I even noticed, but you know, so I told her
because I wasn't going to go straight home after that,
but h I asked her why she was following me,
and she said that I was that she was just
making sure that I got home safe.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
That that is not as not cool.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
No, we can't be anything we can't be at your
following people carry Like, I'm sorry, I hear carry laughing.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
I forgot. I forgot to mention that carry. The talker
is here.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
I asked you, I asked you carry if anything weird
happened you've been in fairness, you said nothing weird happened
on the date, but you didn't mention the part where
you followed the guy home.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
I'm not you don't have to word it like that,
like following someone home. It's just like sou I mean,
it's just like, oh, I'm in my car and I
see him walking. It's like on my way kind of anyway.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
So it's just like, what do you hoping happens here? Like?

Speaker 1 (06:10):
What is the so he finds out that you followed
him home? Like what was the end game? Like you
pull up next to him at his house and you're like, hey,
it still me you know. Then I don't like what
was the thought process here here?

Speaker 4 (06:23):
I obviously thought I was being a lot stealthier than
I was obviously, and then when he called I was
a bit embarrassed. But it's just like, I mean, come on,
isn't it nice to have someone care about you getting
home safely?

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Not really in this way.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
No, No, I don't think anybody wants to be followed home.
I mean he very clearly like said, it was nice meeting,
you had a nice time. The date's over, and then
that's where the date ends. I mean, if he invites
you over, that's one thing he did not.

Speaker 6 (06:53):
Okay, yes, but maybe he's getting at like he's getting
home and then he sees me and it's like a
coin it is and it's like, oh, maybe maybe he's feeling.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
Better all of a sudden and will invite be in.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
I mean, I you're here, you know. No, yes, it's
to please I just I knew something was off. I
politely got out of the date like that was it.
I wasn't gonna call.

Speaker 5 (07:19):
I'm sorry, kry like I wasn't gonna call you after that,
and then you follow me like like yeah, it.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Wasn't not stalking.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
Oh well, I don't know. You don't have to really
take it that way. I'm surprised you don't really like,
just appreciate the gesture. I'm just being nice.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Well, let me just say I'm I'll be completely clear.
I appreciate you being nice.

Speaker 5 (07:43):
I am I am not interested in going down again.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Okay, there you go, now us know where you live? Right,
like we didn't make it all the way there?

Speaker 2 (07:51):
No, no, no, no.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Okay, that's that's good. Yeah, I mean, Carr, you can't.
You can't act like this. You can't operate like this.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Now.

Speaker 4 (07:59):
Well, I don't know, I don't know. I'll try I'll
maybe not try it next time and see.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
What happens a little bit, you know. Yeah, I'm scared.
I'm scared of her. Yeah, you don't know where we live?
Do you?

Speaker 4 (08:20):
Do?

Speaker 1 (08:20):
You know where the radio station is by any chance?
Or like you know what kind of car?

Speaker 4 (08:28):
You guys just mean Chicago, right.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
But the fact that you don't seem to I guess
the part is concerning for me is that you're laughing
about this, like you don't say you don't seem to
see the issue here, because I.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
Know myself, I'm so harmless. I'm laughing. It's just like
a little I'm like a tiny little female phone a.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
Lot of daylight.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
They all say this, right, they all say this. Let
me get Tory lit up the room, didn't he? That's
what they always say, he truly did. Okay, Well that's
your yeah, all right, Tory, thank you for answering. We
have our answer now from you, and best of luck
to both of you. Yeah yeah, what about your Oh

(09:07):
you're a therapist, what about your therapist?

Speaker 2 (09:08):
You might need you might need a little.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
More than you.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
Guys, you exactly like my therapist.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
Oh oh, we don't have a therapist. We should look
into one, maybes. How about that? Yes, im, good luck, Harry,
don't do that anymore whatever she's going to keep doing it. Okay,
the entertainment report and a tiebreaker we can gain for
Shelley one hundred and fifty bucks both. Next we're back
Game three after Katy Perry French Show.
