Speaker 2 (00:40):
Good morning, good morning, and how are we done?

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Do it all right?

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Man?

Speaker 1 (00:43):
What's going on with this woman? Sylvia? How did you
guys meet? Tell us about any dates that you've been
on and then kind of where things are now?

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Yeah, we met on Hinge. We messaged back and forth.
It was blurty, it was cute. I got our number
pretty quick and after about a week or so I
asked her she wanted to grab a bite and some drinks?

Speaker 1 (01:04):
She said, yes, We were vibing. It was cool, had
some good momentum.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
So I was just, you know, pretty shocked when she
just completely stopped talking to me after the date. Okay, yeah,
wondering if my favorite morning show can maybe figure out
what happened.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Oh, you look way to butter us up here, so
you don't get roasted in part two. I mean, because look,
I'm gonna ask. I'm gonna do it. I mean, I
need you to really search your soul logan, Like when
you look back on this date, you really thought everything
with normal uh no weird conversations, no weird topics. I mean,
like this was a normal date. Now you thought, Yeah,

(01:44):
you know, we kept it.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
We kept it pretty pretty clean, avoided all the hot
button notes and just tried to have a good time.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
So let's see if we can figure out what's going
on in your behalf. We're gonna call Sylvia. I gave
you a chance, man, I gave you a chance to
come clean. But no, wouldn't that be something I said, Well, well,
there is the one thing where I dressed up like
a furry you know, and then we don't even have
to do part two. We can just move right on.
But no, you're saying I'm not trying to king shame.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
But well no I am not either, but I'm doing kosher,
just totally kosher date.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
I'm just trying to get answers for you. But okay,
so we're gonna play song. Comeback, Logan, call Sylvia. You'll
be on the phone. We're gonna ask these questions on
your behalf, and the hope is that we can figure
out what's going on. Maybe she's been busy, maybe there's
some other explanation, and then we can set you guys
up on another date and pay for it. All right,
that sounds great, hey, Logan, Yeah, yeah, all right, yeah, yeah,
all right, Logan, let's call Sylvia. You guys recently went

(02:36):
on a date. You met on one of the dating apps.
You chat it for a little bit, you went out
for dinner, you thought everything went really well. You left
the date thinking, great, we're gonna go on date number two.
I'll call her tomorrow or I'll text her or whatever
and then we'll set that up. Except you did that
and she hasn't responded to you at all. It would
appear that you're being ghosted, and you want to know

(02:57):
why that's spun on. Okay, well, let's call her now
go luck Logan. Thanks guys. Hell, Hi is this Sylvia?
Hey Sylvia, good morning. My name is Fred. I'm calling
from the Fred Show, the morning radio show, and I
have to tell you that we are on the radio

(03:17):
right now and I would need your permission to continue
with the call. Can we chat for just a second
on the show. You can hang up anytime you're calling
from a radio station, right, Yes? So is that a
yes that I can? I mean, I can get to
why if you just say it's okay?

Speaker 4 (03:35):
I'm curious?

Speaker 1 (03:36):
So yeah, we're gonna go with a yes on that.
So we're calling on behalf of a guy named Logan.
I guess you matched with him on a dating app
and you guys recently went out to dinner. Do you
remember Logan? Yes?

Speaker 4 (03:46):
I remember Logan?

Speaker 1 (03:47):
So what happened? Because he called us and he said
that he had made matched with you and that you
guys went to dinner on a date first day and
then he thought it went really well and was hoping
to see you again. Says he's reached out for an
another date and you haven't responded to him. But it
sounds like you might have a different explanation or a
different version of what happened.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
Uh yeah, because when the bill came, he asked if
if we could split it. He wanted to split the bill.
I was so shocked that he asked.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Me to do that.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
I was like, wait, I have to pay for my
own food. And here's the next part that really gets me.
He said, yeah, unless you're coming home with me.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Oh wow. Wow. He was that specific, was he? No?

Speaker 4 (04:32):
No, no, yeah, And he wasn't joking.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
He was serious.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
Because I asked him one more time, I really have
to pay for my own food, and then he responded
with the same thing again, yes, unless you're coming home
with me.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
You know, first of all, I think if he asks
you out, or whoever is the asker of the date,
especially a first date, I feel like you got to
make a good impression. You were the inviter, so you
got to pay. But what you cannot do if you
insist on splitting. What you cannot do is then say, oh,
well I'll pay for it if I get some like

(05:04):
come on, come on, we can't do that.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
Yeah, it's ridiculous. I mean I just paid my mail
and just left and knew I would never see him again.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Oh god. Plus, you're setting yourself up to look like
a total idiot, like, hey, hey, if you come home
with me and then it's like you, no, I'd rather
pay for this food and get the hell out of here.
I forgot to mention that logan. This here logan I
asked you, man, I asked you to tell me trusted you? Yeah,
and I should never But why are we First of all,
what you asked her out. You should pay for the date,

(05:35):
and if you insist on splitting it, you cannot then
say well but if I get some, I'll pay for it. Hey, man,
modern dating rules. It's not my job to feed them
Modern dating in the guide written by you like to do.
It's chivalrous, it's romantic, it's gentlemanly, it's whatever, Like I

(05:55):
pay for the date you asked her out, Like, make
a good impression, bro.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
I'm so sick women using men as free meal cards
for first dates that never continue on.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
I don't think that's all women are doing. I don't
think that's what most women are doing. I'm sure there's
a component of that, right, I don't. I mean, what
are we saying about you? Then? Maybe women are sick
of men thinking that if they buy your food that
they're gonna get laid.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
Exactly the next I mean, come on, Like, who says
that to somebody? I mean, what do you expect I
was going to go out with you again.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
I'll pay for your foot at hoga?

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Let me come on, man, you had the chances to
prove you were serious about me, and you wouldn't do
anything about it. Oh my god, it was a first date.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Wow. And maybe if you'd paid you would have had
a much better chance at that. I mean, I'm not
saying one leads to the other, but I can tell
you what what probably won't happen if you don't treat
her well, nothing, you got nothing.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
I mean, I guess I could have been a little
less front.

Speaker 5 (07:01):
But well, men like you don't deserve to date in
my opinion too, Like, no, truly, like, if you're not
gonna pay for like your little whatever chili's meal, whatever
wherever you went, like that is just all messed up.
If you're gonna take the time to invite a woman
out and to take fred you're looking at me crazy.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
No, you pay for our meals? No I do, no, no, no, no,
I'm not disagreeing with you. No, I just did. No.
I don't disagree with you at all. Period. He was right, right,
that's right.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
Yeah, I don't know who raised this man right exactly.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
There's no even trade, like come on, like, no one
owes you anything for doing anything? Like why do you
think that? I guess The part I don't understand is
why did Why do you think that's gonna go?

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Well?

Speaker 1 (07:40):
Like why did you? Oh? Well in that case, sure, yeah,
pay for my dinner absolutely, like no, no, I don't
think very many people are gonna go, Okay, well I
want free food, so I guess i'll put.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
Out, Like come on, Wayne Gretzky always said you miss
one hundred percent of the shots you don't take.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
Then why are you bringing Wayne in it?

Speaker 3 (07:59):
Why didn't I next to be here?

Speaker 1 (08:02):
He didn't do anything right?

Speaker 3 (08:03):
Yeah, okay, like take a girl to a coffee shop
or something, you know, something that's really inexpensive for first date.
This if this is how you feel, if you feel
like all women are using you to get a meal, which.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
Or don't go or well I was gonna say, do
something that doesn't require any any like I don't know
nor you know. The path I was going down is
if you're that convinced you're being used, then plan dates
that don't require a big investment. But first of all,
I don't think you're being used. I think you're saying
stuff like this, which is why you don't wind up
getting any That's what I think. Yeah, I mean what

(08:40):
all right, Logan, No, not even Logan, Sylvia. Thank you
for answering. I'm sorry you had to go through this.
I appreciate the the transparency. Good luck to you out there, Logan.
I'll know what to tell you.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Man, you know what this I guess you know everyone's
saying I need therapy.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
You can probably just shut some eggs. What do you
need more than their pig? I don't know. I don't
know what just I don't know what just happened. But okay,
all right, well he got us, he really told me.
