Speaker 2 (00:11):
I'm doing all right?
Speaker 1 (00:13):
Okay? Oh wow, you sound kind of just try this
man actually sounds like I would think people might sound
when they like somebody and got ghosted. You know, people
every now and again is like, how you doing? I'm great?
How are you great? You got ghosted? What's going on
with this woman? Kara? Tell us how you met? About
any dates that you've been on, and then where things
are now? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (00:31):
So okay, I met her at a bar, you know,
and she thought she was super cute, so, you know,
I approached her and I bought her some drinks, and
I don't know, she.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
Was really receptive.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
We had a great conversation.
Speaker 4 (00:47):
I mean, we had like a few drinks together, and
then I finally asked her for a number. And so
then like a few days later, we planned a date
and we were going to meet up on a date,
like I was literally they already she said she was
parking and that's the last time I heard from her.
She she says, it's parking, and I never heard from
(01:08):
her again. She stopped responding to my text I called her.
H yeah, it's pretty wild.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
Okay, so you've met me, like you you actually met
I mean, so it's not like she is some like
you know, dating app online thing, like you met in person.
You you gauged the chemistry. She saw you, you saw her,
so like everything's real, because I don't know, maybe people
get nervous about meeting a stranger or who knows, but
(01:36):
like in this case, it would have been kind of
like a second date because you kind of had a
half day the first time. But she disappeared. I mean,
it's like, I hope she's okay, by the way, because
I mean she went to park and then he never
heard from her again. Yeah, that's what I was thinking,
was like, yeah, yeah, all right, well huh, well, let's
play a song. We're gonna come back in a couple
of minutes. We're gonna call Kara, and we're gonna see
(01:57):
if we can figure out what's going on. We're gonna
ask these questions for You'll be on the phone as well.
You're welcome and jump in at some point and hopefully
we get straightened this out, hopefully she's okay by the way,
and then set you guys up on another date that
we pay for. Sound good? You have to hear what
happens next Part two of waiting by the phone after
Hosier back in Twoman heads on the Fred Show. Hey, Josh,
(02:19):
all right, welcome back. Let's call this woman Kara. You
met at a bar, you bought her some drinks, You
guys talk for a while, you got her phone number,
You've planned a date, You show up for the date,
she texts you, hey, I'm parking, and then never shows
up for the date and you never hear from her again. Yeah,
and you want to know what's going on? Obviously, yes
I do. Okay, Well, I don't know what we're getting
into here, but let's call her. Good luck? Hi? Is
(02:49):
this oh hi Kara? Good morning. My name is Fred
Im calling from the Fred Show, the Morning radio Show,
and I have to tell you that we are on
the radio right now and I would need your permission
to continue with the call. Is it okay? Chat for
a minute? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Actually I listened to your show, I know, waiting by
the poe.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Oh okay, Well, then you know what's going on. So
much of a surprise. By the way, great to hear
your voice. I really wasn't sure if anyone was going
to answer or whatever, because I'm sure you know we're
calling on behalf of a guy named Josh who he says,
you guys had a date planned, you texted that you
were parking, and then you never showed up. So I'm
glad you're okay, but why didn't you show for the day?
Speaker 2 (03:29):
I mean, I know he's listening, so you should put
them through this one.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
Oh okay, I mean leave the room here, right. I
don't know what the I don't know what the hell
I'm doing here, but don't eat mean for nothing? All right?
So yeah, so here he is, Josh car you guys
know each other? What's going on? Kara?
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (03:48):
So kay, Josh? Do you really not know who I am? Wait?
What do I never you are? Do you not? Do
you really not know who I am?
Speaker 1 (04:00):
No?
Speaker 3 (04:00):
I met you at the bars?
Speaker 1 (04:04):
To me, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Sarah old screen from high school.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Oh wait, you guys, you guys knew each other in
high school and he didn't know that? Shut up? Wait,
hold on a second, hold on, hold on, just so
I'm clear and this. You guys knew each other in
high school and Josh, that just seems to have been
lost on you.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
She works different, man.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Yeah, uh, I'm care of that. Like he bullied, made
front of my nose, made front of my weight that Kara.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
Okay, so you've gone through some kind of like a
transformation then, and you look very different now, is what
you're saying. Real h okay girl, Okay, So he Josh,
you made fun of this woman Kara in high school,
but now you're hitting on her in a bar. Didn't
even realize it was her because she looks so different
and and she's put it together. And so Caara, I
(05:05):
assume now you're like, screw this guy. You were not
nice to me, and now look at me and now
you want some and now you cannot have it.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Yeah, definitely. I mean like the fact that he didn't
recognize me and everything I wanted to get him back for,
like all the hell that he cost me in high school,
and so I mean, yeah, I pulled up, didn't come in,
and I set him up.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
That's also this was all planned then, like you never
intended well why did you even go to the date,
Like you didn't have to pull up in front of
the place, and he did say look at me.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
For me, I wanted to watch him go through agony,
like I went through agony every day. This was just
a glimpse of of like a little teeny tiny fraction
of what he put me through all through high school.
This was just a moment for him. But I went
through health through high school withk me, fun of me
every dingy.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Wow. So the whole time you knew you were going
to do this, you knew that he was a guy
who was not nice to you in high school. Now
you wanted to get with you, So you plan this date.
You pull up in front and just watch him as
he sits there and waits for you to show up.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Yes, it might seem like mean, but I mean you
have no idea what he could me.
Speaker 5 (06:13):
Did you randomly run into him at the bar? Like,
or have you been planning this since high school?
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Get me?
Speaker 2 (06:19):
No, no, no, Like you can't make this up though,
Like I mean, he's he's cute. He was always cute, Okay,
so don't get me wrong. So meeting him at the bar,
I was like wow. And the whole fact he didn't
realize who I was. I was like okay, yeah, all right,
so then it was planned.
Speaker 5 (06:37):
I mean, okay, he would have went through with a
date and had him paid for everything and all this stuff,
then I would have been like, look who I am
and then walked away.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
So if he had maybe said to you, like, hey,
look I remember you from high school. I know I
was mean to you. I can't believe you know how
far you've come or how different you want to know,
and I'm so sorry, Like I don't know, like if
he'd apologized in some way, then that would have been different.
Or were you always going to do him dirty?
Speaker 2 (07:01):
No, I'm definitely doing him dirty. And you know he
can apologize now on the radio if you want.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
Yeah, yeah, Josh, I don't think she's going to go
out with you again. But I mean, I guess you
bullied her. Do you remember doing that? Like, how about
an apology?
Speaker 3 (07:15):
I do?
Speaker 4 (07:16):
And Kara, I'm like really sorry. I know that means
nothing now, but I'm like mortified I was a different
person than too.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
I feel terrible. I don't know, like I'm damn wow.
This is kind of stuff that people like, this is
the kind of stuff people fantasize about, Like this is
the kind of thing like your parents tell you when
you're growing up, like you know, someday it's going to
be the roles reversed and you're gonna get your time
and knowing never happens.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
I'm pretty sure the same kind of person that you
were back in. I mean, like, those are some things
I can't look past. So wow, you don't know how
many because I know this, I know this holding kid
correcting per second day that it's not going to be second date.
Speaker 5 (07:54):
So you don't accept this apology at all. You're not
accepting this apology. People change, He could change, like like
you know, Sah was a bully, right and he still is.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
Yeah, I'm gonna say, what's what's different? Yeah, I knew.
I mean, you do at least accept the apology. You
do accept the apology.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
I think, of course, of course I'll just apology. But
there's definitely no second date. That's not even a first
one obviously.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
But like this is exactly what people fantasize about, Like
you know, someday I'm gonna look the person in the
eye and I'm gonna get I'm gonna get my shot
at them. It just never happens. It almost never happened.
But for you, like you saw this guy and he's
hitting on you, and you're like, oh my god, the roles.
You know, the tables have turned, and now he wants me,
and I don't want the bully exactly. I kind of
(08:40):
like it. And Josh, good on you for apologizing. But unfortunately,
this is why you don't bullye people because you never
really know what's going to happen. And you were trying
to date this woman, but you were not nice to
her before, so she wants nothing to do with you.
So hey, it's nice as you apologized, but there doesn't
sound like that's going to be a day. I don't
know if we had to go through this whole thing, uh,
(09:01):
you know where you sort of make him sit there.
But I mean, you shouldn't bully people, so you know,
I don't know what to say. No, I get it,
I get it.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
I screwed up.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
Wow Wow, okay, all right, well, hey Josh, good luck
to you, Kara, you got your revenge show. Best of
luck to you as well.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
Thank you, and I will continue to listen to your show.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
