Never been Left Waiting by the phone. It's the Fread Show. Andy,
Good morning, Welcome to the program. How are you? Oh? Okay?
All right, lad, Let's keep it simple, so welcome to
waiting by the phone. We're trying to figure out what
this woman Arianna is not calling you. Why don't you
tell us all the backstory? How did you guys meet,

(01:03):
We got to know about any dates you've been on
and where things are now.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Well, I think they're actually very simple. So we met
a few weeks ago at a bar. It's a bar
I got to, you know, every every other weekend or so,
and I hadn't seen it there before, and I, you know,
I saw from across the way. We chatted and I
got a number and I said and I said, hey,

(01:27):
you know, I'd love to go out again. So we
went to a different place for drinks and everything seemed
everything seemed good, everything seemed nice. I said, Okay, this
went well, but then she just didn't answer any of
my calls or text afterwards.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Okay, So you look back on this date and you
felt there was chemistry. You were attracted to her, you
felt like she was vibing with you. The conversation went well.
I mean, it wasn't forced, honestly, like everything was. You
look back, and we're being self aware this moment, and
you felt good about everything, and you left thinking this
is great. I'm gonna call Arianna and then we're gonna

(02:06):
go out again. And uh, you know, because sometimes you'll
leave a date and they'll be like eh, I'm not sure.
I don't know how that person felt or how I felt.
None of that is going on here.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
You're saying, no the whole time like we had, I mean, yeah,
we we had like I ended up hadding like or
I mean we were there for hours and we had
at least four or five drinks, and she was having
a great time. She could had plenty of opportunity to,
you know, say, oh, you know, I got to get
out of your Yeah, you know we hung out.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Yeah, I don't care how much I'm trying to numb
the pain of a bad date. I'm not saying for
four drinks. If it's mean, I'm believing after two. Yeah,
if that's what's right, Yeah, I hear that. All right, Well,
let's come back in a second. We're gonna play a song.
Come back, We'll call Orianna. You'll be on the phone, Andy,
And the hope is always is that we could straighten
this out, figure out what's going on while she's not
calling you back, and set you guys up on another

(02:57):
date that we pay for. Andy. All right, let's call
uh Arianna. You guys, you met at a bar that
you you kind of kind of frequent a little bit
and you asked her out. You went to another bar
on a date, you had a few drinks, you felt
like it went really well. But you have not heard
from Ariana since then, and you want to know why exactly.

(03:17):
All right, let's call her now. Good luck Andy? Hello,
Hi is this Ariana? Yes, Hey, good morning. My name
is Fred. I'm calling from the Fred's Show, the Morning
radio Show, and I have to tell you that we
are on the radio right now and I would need
your permission to continue with the call. Can we chat

(03:38):
for a couple of minutes on the show? Would you mind?
What I mean? It's I mean, it's possible. It kind
of depends on what your definition of winning is. But
we're calling on behalf of a guy who reached out
to us named Andy, who says he went on a
date with you recently. He met you at a bar.
Do you remember Andy? Oh? Yeah, oh yeah, I know Andy,

(04:00):
quite the conversational list. But I'm curious. You know, he
reached out to us wondering why, after what he thought
was a good date, you're not calling him back. And
so we had no trouble getting a hold of you.
You picked up for us basically right away. So why
are you not reaching out to him calling him back?
What happened?

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Okay? So the thing is we did have a pretty
good date, Like I was having a good time, but
things got really weird towards the end.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
I needed to go to the bathroom, so I asked
him if we could go over to his place.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
And once I saw his place.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
I just didn't feel like me and Andy were a good fit.
Why did okay? All right, all right, I guess I'm
curious why right you left the venue presumably had a
bathroom to then go to his place, But with that
sneither here nor there. So I want to hear more
about this place. So you're okay? He said, sure, yeah,
come back. I'm sure he was like that, come back
to the house, you can use my bathroom. What did
you see that you didn't like?

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Okay? He his whole apartment was decked out in one
direction merch, like in a clean xbox, Like can we
even get that?

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Like where do you even buy that?

Speaker 3 (05:04):
Like? But you know, blankets everything.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
One direction shower, curt, I didn't know that was available.
I mean, you can get anything on anty, I guess either.
Now was he being funny? Like was it like a
themed room. I don't know, like was it I don't know,
was he being silly, you know, a silly silly boy
or was or was it scattered? Was it everywhere? Like
it wasn't like he had a one direction room? Haha,

(05:27):
it was everywhere. It was everywhere.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
And I asked him too, like what the deal was,
and he just said.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
That he loved One Direction and tells.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
Me that they're the grace boy band of all time.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
And I.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
No, wait a minute, if you say something like that,
break up and go away. I had less of an
issue until you said that the best of all of them. Nah,
I don't know. Let me bring Andy in. I forgot
to mention that Andy is here. Andy, can you give
us a little more as what are we doing here
with the One Direction all over the house?

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Yeah? This is weird to me too right now because
I am I'm absolutely flabbricasted. She was. She was not
upset at all when she saw we talked about we
talked about One Direction songs and of course it's the
greatest boy band of all time. I can't think of like,
I mean, you guys are even acting like that's weird,

(06:25):
like you're wrong.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Of course they're the greatest boy band of all time.
I mean that's thank you. No no, no, no, no, no,
I'm not I'm not agreeing with you. I I think
that is a wild statement to make, and I have
more of an issue with that than I do. Your
propensity to collect One Direction memorabilia, right, I mean you're entitled,

(06:49):
you know by what you what you want, I guess.
I mean that's a lot. I didn't even know you
could do that. I didn't even know that was.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
More available obviously. Okay, So my mom, she's really great
gift and you know, once, I don't know, ever since
I was a fan of you know, every Christmas. Every
time she'll give me, you know, the cutest things and
that's from her clean next box and I treasured. I

(07:18):
think it's amazing.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Yeah yeah, so yeah, what about the shower curtain? What
about it? Like that?

Speaker 2 (07:28):
I've had that shower curtain for for.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Years collector's item guys. It's this is vintage, all right.
This is this from back when they the deal, like
you grew up with it, and so it resonates with like,
I don't know you being younger, I don't know, I mean,
where did this connection begin with you? In one direction,
Andy come out of my mouth at work every day.

(07:52):
I just the sentences that I couldn't write.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Yes, I first started, when I first started listening, I
mean there was like three There was like three songs
where I didn't even know who they were because I
was not like a band follower type of person. And
I just remember I had like I was like, oh,
this is this song is amazing, and then there was
like another song and then I it was like the
third song and I was like, this sounds similar. And

(08:15):
then I found out this is all the same band,
and I was like, this is this.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Is the best. I love it when that happens, when
you find one band does more than one songing. I
do love that. That's a great thing to have happened.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
But and Harry and Harry and Liam just you know,
and Como is just I don't know your right right, right,
I got it. I don't think that's wrong with having
a favorite band or or saying that like that's not
weird at all.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
I don't. I still can't believe you went on our
air and said they're a great dispoy band. Ever, I mean,
I you know, really much much respect, much respect in
one direction they deserve their place, but again, I now
question your taste overall.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Who would possibly be throwing the movies.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
Hard to say? Backstreet Boys? Hello? Anyway? Two grown ass
men arguing about the best boy man all the time.
Not what I thought I was gonna do. Yeah, right,
Backstreet Boys.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
They basically make commercials for like laundry soap, so all.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
Good for them, you know the revenue source. I'm that's
what I mean. I mean, hey, I'll send you a
shower curtain to replace them. I'm sure you wouldn't use it.
I won't waste my money. Ariana has been very absent
in this call. I mean, so you're just over it,
like you're not gonna hang out with a man, even
though you liked, you obviously enjoyed, you know, having drinks
with them. You saw that.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
I'm I'm just shocked, Like I'm just shocked at like
how much he's like defending that this is normal, Like
it's not normal, dude, Like you're a grown man, Like
you shouldn't have all this stuff. Like I mean, I
get that your mom gave it to you, so I guess,
like it's somewhat okay, I guess, but even then, like
Backstreet Boys are actually the greatest boys. So we're gonna

(09:56):
do something, you know, like that's really.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
What you just whatever?

Speaker 2 (10:02):
You just heard what he said.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
You know that. I think a lot of people share
that opinion, honestly.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
But people, I mean, if you said in sync is above.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
How dare you? Well, who do you think you are? Kiki?
You know I secretly like in sync in his house?
But I mean, is this a lot of boy bands?

Speaker 2 (10:26):
All right?

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Well, you know what, I got a phone number for you,
back to the generic boy band. Oh we can't, okay
you honestly, you're beginning to offend me right now on
my own air. Okay, and so this is not this
is not okay.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Maybe maybe maybe maybe YouTube could date they didn't have
a Backstreet boy?

Speaker 1 (10:43):
Well maybe so, because it sounds like she's available. So yeah, right, Ariana, Look,
I'll ask the question I have to. Would you like
to go out with him? Again? We'll pay for it
watching me? Then all right, we're all going to the
sphere to see the half Backstreet Boys. So I guess
I guess we want to invite you Andy, But like Andy,
I'm sorry, it's not going to work out. Best of

(11:04):
luck to both of you. Okay, thank you,
