Speaker 1 (00:02):
Ever been left waiting by the phone.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
It's the Fred Show. Jared, Welcome to the show. How
are you hey?

Speaker 1 (00:09):
I'm doing it all right?

Speaker 3 (00:10):
How are you doing doing all right? What's going on
with this woman? Rachel?

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Of course this is waiting by the phone trying to
figure out if you've been ghosted by this person. But
we need to know how did you meet? Tell us
about any dates you've been on, and then where things
are now?

Speaker 4 (00:22):
Sure, Yeah, I met Rachel at a party and we
really hit it off, like the banter.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Was really great between us. I got her number, we
went out for drinks a few days after that, and
I have not heard from her since. I mean, she
completely goes to me.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Okay, and you met her in the wild, which means
that you, you know, you were able to kind of
gauge what she looks like in person and how the
chemistry was and how the conversation was going to flow,
because I mean everyone I think ideally you meet someone
like that, because the dating apps can be a little
bit of a little wild card, a little bit of
a wildcard. We said this all the time. It's like
you meet an and you get surprised, But when you

(01:01):
meet someone in person and hit on them. You have
a little bit better idea what you're working with, right exactly.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
Yeah, that's why it's so disappointing that she's just completely gone.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Well and she would too write, so like, if she's
not calling you, it's probably not because you weren't who
you said you were, because well, she knew when she
gave you her phone number and agreed to go out
with you. So let's play a song. Come back in
like two minutes. I'm gonna call Rachel. You'll be on
the phone at the same time. I'm gonna see if
we can figure out what's going on, and maybe she
has a good explanation for not reaching out. And if
that's the case, it we'll set you guys up on

(01:34):
another date and pay for that. All right, awesome, thank you.
Let's find out what's going on? Part two of waiting
by the phone. After this song, guy got Bruno Mars
back in three minutes. Fred's Show, don't move, It's the
Fred Show, twelve hundred bucks, show Bizkiki, you can win
in ten minutes in the showdown the Entertainment Report. Before that, Hey, Jared, Yes,
all right, welcome back. Let's call this woman Rachel. You
met out and you guys are Shag's phone numbers, and

(01:57):
you went on a date and you thought the date
went great. But you haven't heard from Rachel since then,
and you want to know why she hasn't responded to you, calls, text, whatever,
nothing She's it looks like she's ghosting you.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Yeah, all right, well let's call her now. Good luck?

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Hello? Hi?

Speaker 3 (02:19):
Is this Rachel? Yeah, Rachel? Hi, My name is Fred.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
I'm calling for the Fred's Show, the Morning radio show,
and I have to tell you that we are on
the radio right now, and I would need your permission
to continue with the call.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Can we chat for just a second? Would you mind?

Speaker 5 (02:33):
Is this a pin call?

Speaker 3 (02:35):
No?

Speaker 2 (02:36):
No, I mean I'm really Fred and it's really the
Fred Show and we're really on the radio. I just
need a yes or no, and then I'll tell you
what we're doing here. You can hang up anytime.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Okay, sure, Well, thank you.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
We're calling on behalf of a guy named Jared, who
I guess you met and went on a date with.
Do you remember a date with Jared?

Speaker 5 (02:52):
Yeah? I remember, I remember.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Okay, Well, he reached out to us and he told
us that he really enjoyed meeting you, and I guess
you guys exchanged numbers and then planned a date and
went on the date. But he says he hasn't heard
from you since then, so he's kind of wondering why,
you know what happened, because his impression of the date
was was that it went really well, So he can't
get a hold of you, and he's curious about it.

Speaker 5 (03:14):
Well, Jared was someone that I met at a party
and then we went out on a date a couple
of days later, and we were sitting at the bar
and when the check dropped, the bartender let us know
that some guy at the other end of the bar
had paid for it, and at that point Jared freaked out,

(03:37):
like lost it, and he claimed that I knew the
guy and that I was lying to him, and he
made a big scene at the bar, and so he
was even he was even choosing me of knowing him.
So the bartender said that the guy just thought that
Jared was like my gay friend.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
Oh oh, So it.

Speaker 5 (04:01):
Was just like a genuine misunderstanding.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
So the guy at the end of the bar was
really hitting on you, like he bought your drinks because
he wanted to get to you and he didn't realize
you were on a date?

Speaker 3 (04:12):
Is what happened? But you were?

Speaker 5 (04:14):
Yeah, exactly, But I was just so turned off by
that reaction.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
It honestly scared me.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
So I want to.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Fight this guy because he felt like this guy was
moving in on his territory.

Speaker 5 (04:26):
Essentially, Yes, but I mean this is our first date.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
So we're seeing that Jared has a bit of a temper.
Let's ask Jared about this. I forgot to mention that
Jared is here. I'm very forgetful.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Jared. Is this is this how it went down?

Speaker 2 (04:38):
A guy got your stuff and then you freaked out
and then you like the rage came out of you
or something.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Look, I mean she's describing me like I turned into
the incredible Hulk. But I'm not going to sit here
and to say that I'm going to let a guy
pay for me and my dates drinks when I want
to date my.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Third I mean I probably would have been like, cool,
I'm going home with her or whatever. I'm even with her,
so nice. Try way to shoot your shot, but like
you missed dinner. And by the way, I didn't have
to pay for this. I mean, I think I might
be especially if I don't know, I think I might
be flattered.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
No, I what self respecting guy.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
Would do that?

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Well, I mean he could try. I guess he misread
the situation. He wasted his money. She didn't run over
to him and you know, hang out with him. She
still hung out with you, right, I mean it wasn't
like she got him walked away.

Speaker 5 (05:32):
I mean, you're letting him get the you letting him
get the best of you was honestly disrespectful to yourself
and everyone around you.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
And then the temper is probably not the hottest thing.
And the insecurity, which again, I mean, look, I can
understand why you wouldn't like it, but I mean I
don't think that's the time to like go off and
throw chairs and stuff.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
I mean, you just met her.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Well, I honestly think that she knew the guy.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
You know, that's the part that we're not talking about.
So you think this was like you think that they
were in on this, Like, why why would she lie
about that? Like, I don't know er stand why she
was there with you.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
I just say that she knew him. I mean, I've
never heard of someone being out on a date and
another guy just buys the drinks.

Speaker 5 (06:10):
That's he thought that you were gay. He just he
simply thought you were gay.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Oh okay, all right, sure, yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Mean he thought you guys. I guess to him it
looked friendly. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
I mean people are stupid, like they do dumb Men
do dumb things. Women do. People do dumb things. He
was trying to slide, you know, it didn't work or whatever.
He was trying to make an impression, and you were
there with someone else romantically, so he wasted his money. Okay,
So I don't know why. I don't know why you're
freaking out, Jared. I mean I might be like, yeah, nice,
try buddy and then leave. I don't think you have
to go off on the dude.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
Look, I'm a man and I'm not going to have
my manhood tested like that.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Oh Mart, Why do you have trust issues like this?
Like she's telling you that she didn't know him. Why
don't you trust her?

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Ye?

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Why would she pretend not to know?

Speaker 2 (06:53):
I don't understand it, Like, what what would be the
harm in her going? Yeah, I know the guy at
the end of the bar, like he's a coworker. I
don't know, he's whatever, Like thanks for dinner, but I'm
on a date and then leave.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
I guess I don't you know.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
It would be one thing if she got him, walked
over there and like chatted the guy up or something afterwards.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
But she didn't do that, did she?

Speaker 1 (07:12):
No, she did it?

Speaker 3 (07:13):
All right?

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Well, look, Rachel, I'll ask the question. I think I
know the answer. But now let's say he takes you
at face value, and we do. I believe you that
you don't know this person. I don't know where he's
coming up with that. Would you like to go out
with him again? If he can tone it down, we'll
pay for it.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
Absolutely not.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Well you know what, Rachel, seriously you.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
Oh oh wow, so there's that temper. I don't think
it's a match. Wow. Okay, hey, Jared, I mean deep
breath here, it's okay. We were trying to help you.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Remember it is so frustrating.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
Okay, all right, well hey we wish Wow. I was
scared now myself. All right, Jared, good luck to you, Rachel,
thanks for your time, good luck as well. The Entertainment
Report is next A one thousand, two hundred bucks five
questions in the showdown. If you listen, then you have
the answers from the Entertainment Report, and you could start
the weekend with that money.
