Speaker 1 (00:02):
I've ever been left waiting by the phone. It's the
Fred Show. Hey Kevin, good morning, Welcome to the show.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
How are you hey, I'm okay, hoping for a little help,
I guess.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Okay, all right, So there we go some honesty right there.
It's always amazing to me when we go how you doing?
These people think they've been ghosted and they're distraught, and
they're like, all right, I assume that's because they're talking
to us. But the truth is, you're a little distraught
because you went out with a woman named Haley, and
I guess she's not interested her. You think she's not interested,
she's ghosted, kind of actively ghosting you, obviously ghosting you.

(00:34):
Why don't you tell us how you guys met and
about any dates that you've been on and where things
are now?

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Sure, Yeah. I started talking to Haley on in one
of those dating apps, and we kind of hit it off,
like she seems to have the same kind of sense
of humor as me.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
So we chatted for a while.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
And eventually I ended up asking her if she wanted
to get drinks, so we did, and I thought we
had a.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Really great time.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
We were at the bar for a while, we had
a bunch of drinks, laughed a lot, and then afterwards
we went back to my place. Nothing happened, you know,
it was a first date. We just went to my
place for a little while, said good.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Night, and that was the end of that. And I'm
kind of like.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Wondering what happened because between the bar and my house
there was like this attitude shift. She just got like
cold and distant, and I don't know. I'm trying to
figure out why that happened.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
What's up?

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Okay? And so that you have not been able to
get ahold of her sense she's ghosting you. She's not
telling you sort of why the attitude changed, but it did.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
It was so clear, like night and day.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
We were having a great time at the bar. We
went to my place and she didn't seem to want
to talk to me anymore and got out of here
real quick.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
So, I mean, something happened. I don't know what. I'm
trying to figure out what I did.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Okay, Yeah, fair enough. So that's where we come in.
We're going to play song comeback. We'll call Haley. We'll
see if we can get her on the phone. You'll
be on the phone at the same time. And you
know what we're hoping we can do here is straighten
things out, maybe figure out what's going on, work through it,
and then set you guys up on another date and
pay for that. All right, Okay, Yeah, that'd be great.
I'm gonna play one song, will be right back like

(02:12):
two minutes. Hang on, Kevin. Thanks, Let's see what happens next.
Part two. Avoiding by the phone after this song on
The Fred Show. Hey, Kevin, Hey, let's call Haley. You guys,
you recently went on a date. You met on the apps.
You thought she was really hot, you really enjoyed being
with her. I accept something on the date changed and shifted,

(02:33):
and you haven't heard from her since. So like you
noticed on the date that things weren't going well or
that something must have happened. And then you've reached out
since the date and she's not responding, and you want
to know why because you liked her. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Actually, well, to be totally honest, she did respond one time.
She told me straight up, I don't see things going
anywhere with us, and but then she wouldn't tell me why.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
I don't understand what happened that night. I don't understand
what's going on. I just really want an explanation.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
So you know, Oh, she's not interested, except like a
lot of people, it's like, well, you know, why, what happened?
What did I do? Can I fix it? That kind
of thing. So let's call her now and see if
we can figure this out. Good luck, Kevin.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Hello, Hi, is this Haley Mak's calling?

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Yeah, Hi, Haley, good morning. My name is Fred. I'm
calling from the Fred's Show, the Morning radio show, and
I have to tell you that we are on the
radio right now, and I would need your permission to
continue with the call. So okay, if we chat for
just a second, drop it, Yes, I love you, Okay,
all right, thank you?

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Oh god, I'm look at you every freaking day.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Well that's very nice of you. Thank you. So you
know what we're doing then waiting metaphone is what this
is called, and you're on it and we're calling him
buy a guy named Kevin. So I don't have to
explain to you what we're doing since you listen. But
he he says that he took you out, and he
says that he thought the date went really well. He
just now revealed to us that you apparently told him
that it wasn't going to work, but the issue is

(04:01):
that he doesn't know why.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Sometimes I wish people would just take a hint and
move it along and not be just annoying.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
I told him that that's true, and I have no
problem kind of like stilling the tea with you guys,
because I don't know quite honestly, I think the.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Guy needs to grow up. Let me just say, like
the date was fun.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
But things got kind of weird when we did end
up going back to his place to have like a
cocktail after you know.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Being out. Dude, the guy's thirty eight years old and.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
He legit has a twin size bed.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
He has a twin size bed, which is really like
it looks like a what like one bed, doesn't it?
Like you know what I'm saying, Like that aren't those
like the really tiny ones? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, like you
even have as a child, Like my niece has a
twin bed. I think, yeah, huge.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
You know here's what I I want to make a
big deal out of it, like he's a nice person
or whatever, but I just felt like I was not
dealing with a grown up, Like what are we going
to sleep? Like head defeat, like am I going to
have my head by? Like Holley, are you gonna cut?
It's just not it was.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Like a dog bedside.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
We're not.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
I can't, We're not. So he's a grown ups man
with a twin bed. Now I've heard of this happening
only like I know some girls, like in college, they
still had a twin bed and they would go home
from college and have to stay in their house and
they didn't like it because they had like you had that.
I had a day bed till he was twenty four. Yeah,
SE's so like because they had an updated the room

(05:34):
from like when. But now they're grown ups and they're like,
can I have a real bed now? I think my
sister was this way for a while too. But anyway,
let me you know that Kevin's here because you listen,
so I don't have to. You know, Kevin thirty eight,
you're launch man, You have a twin sized bed. Where
did you expect her to sleep?

Speaker 3 (05:51):
Well, she wasn't staying And I mean it was the
first date, having a drink.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
And that was this your first girl you've ever brought home?
Or we're gonna buy a bed like before the second
eight or third day?

Speaker 4 (06:00):
Oh my God, I'm dead right now, you guys, I'm
literally dead. You know.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
I'm a single guy. You know what, am I going
to have a bed for three?

Speaker 1 (06:10):
What do you have?

Speaker 4 (06:11):
Like do you i mean eventually up in your house too?
Like do you have one coffee cup? One that is silverware?
I mean, let's like be real, like.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
That's called the fishing?

Speaker 4 (06:20):
What other stuff in your life you don't?

Speaker 1 (06:22):
But why do you know? I like that? Like Kevin,
for example, I have a king sized bed in my
home and it's ninety nine percent of the time it's
just me sleeping on one side of it. It's like
one corner of it. I'm not sure why I do that.
But nonetheless, if maybe someday some poor soul wants to,
you know, sleep there regularly, there would be room because
you know, I'm manifesting that by a whole half of

(06:44):
the bed that's empty. Why wouldn't you want that, like
just for your.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
Own Fred, This is why I don't have to offer.
I've got opportunity ever comes around, you know. But I'm
just I'm a single guy. I don't really date a lot,
so it doesn't seem that important to me.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Yeah, maybe I got one coffee cup maybe seven?

Speaker 4 (07:00):
Can I just ask you, Kevin, how long have you
had that bed?

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Ten years?

Speaker 3 (07:08):
At Lesia supposed to replace.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
The mask a race car bed. What is the last one?

Speaker 3 (07:17):
But it's been a while.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
I guess you don't.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
Want to go out with me because I got a
small bed.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Listen.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
I had a great time with you.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
I politely declined to move forward. I was respectful.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
I think I've already like given you enough. I don't
think I really.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
Owe you anymore.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
So I appreciate you, but.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
Like you didn't have to call me and get me
on the radio. I already called you or you know,
responded or whatever to you and said I was not interested.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
You can't have a kid, like come on? Yeah, what
he said?

Speaker 3 (07:53):
It's not a kid's bed. It's not the mattress store.
They sell it to adult I don't know what you
guys are on about.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
Yeah I thought you had a kid. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
I don't know. Okay, all right, look so Hailey, I'll
just ask one more time. We'll pay for it. Is
there any what if we buy the guy at bed?
Is there any chance to keep go out with him again?

Speaker 4 (08:13):
Bred Brad, you're ahead, I listen, I still love you.
I want to keep loving you.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
No, please not.

Speaker 5 (08:18):
Oh come on, So yeah, girl, I got a king
size bad Yeah, clearly I can tell the second date here, you're.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
All right, I'm going to use the money I would
have paid for Kevin, and I'm going to pay for
a date.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
I do like that. You can see my actual bed.
It's growing up side. Just wait to see all this
stuff on the walls though. He's still he's still a
race car bed. But it's a king size race card bed.
You didn't know they made those, but they do. It's
a king sized bunk. Then it's excited, all right, guys,
look Kevin, I'm sorry, it's not going to work out, Hailey,
thank you for your time, Thank you for listening to
That's of luck to both of you.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
Right on.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
Thank you guys so much as Kevin.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
Sorry, sorry, dear, I just think you need to got
me a free bed right now. But whatever, Okay, thanks.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
I was kidding. I was never gonna buy you a bed,
but anyway, well, h Columbus is coming up. They have
a sale a miss. Oh my god. Indigenous people's days,
genous people's they gotta say them over there for everything
