Speaker 1 (00:02):
I've ever been left waiting by the phone. It's the
Fred Show. Hey, Sophia, welcome to the show. Good morning,
Good morning. All right, what's going on with this guy Hunter?
Fill us in? How did you meet? Tell us about
any dates that you've gone on already and where things
are now.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
So I met him on the dating apps. We connected
online and then he had asked me out. And I
have to tell you, honestly, was the best date I've
ever had. I have never felt so free to be
myself with somebody, especially on a first date. And I
mean we talked about everything. I mean it was like,

(00:39):
oh my gosh, I've finally met somebody who.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Was, you know, like me.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
You know, we have a lot in common, lots to
share a lot of opinions on things, And I mean,
I don't know the sparks for flying on my end
for sure, and I thought it was equal, but now
I don't know. I haven't heard from him, so I
really really confused.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Yeah, and that's frustrating. I'm sure we can all relate
to meeting somebody. It's hard to meet people, and then
you meet someone and then you think it's going one direction,
and then you know you leave optimistic and hopeful, and
now you have not heard from this person at all,
and you look back on this date and you really
you said it was the best date ever. I mean,
you feel that strongly about it. Is that dramatic or

(01:22):
is that you really feel like that?

Speaker 3 (01:24):
No? I really feel like that, and I thought it
was reciprocated. There was no indication that anything was off
by any means.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Okay, well let's call this guy right now, this guy Hunter,
and see if we can figure it out.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Good luck.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Hello, Hi is his Hunter? Yeah, hey Hunter, good morning.
My name is Fred. I'm calling for the Fred's Show.
It's the morning radio show, and I have to tell
you that we are on the radio right now and
I would need your permission to continue with the call.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Can we chat for just a second. You can hang
up anytime.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Sure, But what's going on?

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (02:02):
No, I will get right to it, and thank you
for that. We're calling on behalf of a woman who
met you online. You guys met Her name is Sophia,
and you recently went on a date. Do you remember her?

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (02:11):
Yeah, yeah, I remember Sophia.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Okay, so what's that reaction about? Because she reached out
to us and told us about you, and I really
liked the date that you guys went on and was
excited to hear from you again to go on another date.
And she says that you haven't reached out and you're
not responding.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
So what happened? What's going on? No? Yeah, no, Sophia.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Yeah, So we met on an app and went out
to dinner, and it honestly was a fantastic date. Like,
she was super cool. I really dug her vibe. The
conversation was really good. But I just couldn't call her
back because her dad's not in her life.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Man.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
It's a bummer, but I just I just can't do it,
you know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Wait? Whoa, whoa, Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Okay, so you love the date, you thought Sophia was great,
but she doesn't have a relationship with her father, and
so you aren't going to go out with her. I
mean that prob that may or may not be her fault.
It's very possible it has nothing to do with her.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
It's not it's not about who's fault it is.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
It's just I've been with so many girls with daddy
issues at this point that like, as soon as I
heard that I'm like, oh, this is going to get chaotic,
and I just can't go through that energy again. So,
I mean, it's not really anything on her. She was great,
but you know, I can't be nothing around How can.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
You say that? How can you say, Hunter, she's great?
I mean everything was great. I was super into it.
There's just this one thing out there that might be
out of her control. We don't really know, and so
I'm going to take all that greatness and discard it
because well, there's a chance that she what you don't
have any issues?

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Hunter? Does your mom?

Speaker 4 (03:45):
Here? I got but I'm close. I'm close to my parents.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
I got a good relationship.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
I think, like, I love you.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
What's that y'all have in fun of me?

Speaker 4 (03:58):
But like this daddy issue thing is for real? You know,
can't we get people that lot of girls and like
they're always like at the end of the day, like
it's a fun first date, fun second date, third date,
starts to get a little weird, fourth figure, like what's
going on? And then the fifth that You're like, this
is chaotic, this is toxic. You've got to deal with
some of the issues in your past. And I'm not
really that person.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Look there may be something to relationship familial issues and
people having trouble in relationships, But but you got to
give somebody a chance. And who's to say she hasn't
worked it out or worked on it, or isn't working
on it or and then let me ask Sophia. I
forgot to mention Sophia is here, Sophia Hunter mightn't want
to go out with you again because you don't have
a relationship with your father.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Oh, you need a second to pick my jaw up
off the ground.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
I mean, what whatsics does he even have? I mean, like,
what is the deal? So you guys been talking about family.
You're like, I don't talk to my dad. I mean
that that's his Yeah, yeah, what does he know?

Speaker 3 (04:57):
No, pretty much that I just said, you know, my
dad's not in my But for having to talk to your.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
Dad in like ten years, dude, that's a lot. And
I was like, yeah, he's alive somewhere.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
If it'd have been more like five than.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
Deal with I mean like that's not your business, Like
that's my business.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
Yeah, we're talking about it, and like if we think
about being in a relationship, it's probably.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Gonna end up being my business.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
That's the thing with like the family dynamic. That's why
I got to take a pause, is they always end
up becoming business you.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Know me, I got this.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
Yeah, yeah, I'm so sorry you're so sick. But like,
like it ain't gonna work, you know what I mean,
Like this is it's gonna get chaotic. I've them with
a bunch of girls with daddy issues, like this stuff
comes up, you know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (05:44):
I mean, what are you? Like? Who are you?

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Who is this large group of people? But universally, you know,
because not everybody's blessed with a great family, it doesn't
mean that they're messed up.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
I mean we all know.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
I mean, like I can rattle off names if you want.
It was like, didn't me it was large? Uh?

Speaker 2 (06:00):
I don't know what does that matter to me? I
don't know that he's like a walking issue.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
I'm just trying to find what cliche group of people
you met out with.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Every single you're talking to one right now.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Every single you're talking to you're talking to a girl
with daddy issues.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
Right now, that's right, Fred, I probably wouldn't vibe. I mean,
talk to your issues is also a red flag. I'm
just saying I like y'all's program, but like you know,
like hav if you like Catfish, somebody on like a
radio program like live call in and then like hashing

(06:34):
issues out like we can go there if you want,
but like if that seems a little suck to me
for the foundation.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Of Okay, So first it was daddy issues. Now it's
that she's on our show, so we.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
Well, daddy issues are like trust issues, and then it
all like proliferates.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Yeah, I got them all, you know what I mean? Yeah,
what are you talking about me?

Speaker 4 (06:50):
Like w's been like you know, not actually being direct
and like you know, like critique or like honest or
like being slightly deceitault. So it's like that that road
that people go and it's all rooted specifically, and oh,
there's one issue in your childhood that you haven't resolved,
and like until that happens.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
I'm not going to get I'm not saying that you're
not right about It's possible that there could be complications
because if people's family ties are like there up, but
you don't know her well enough to know that. And
we also hunter haven't gotten into your stuff yet.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Either. Let's talk. Why don't you have a seat.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
On the couch exact, because I bet you if you
and I talk long enough, I can find something from
your past that still troubles you that you may or
not be working on. So I don't know why we're
not giving people more of a chance, especially if you're
out of her seat.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
I feel like I'm pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
But of course, of course you feel you know, so
I've got I've got I'm sure we've all got issues.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
We've all got hang ups. Like I hate this sound,
like when people scratch dry skin like that. I can't
get over that. Like that sound just like like drives
me crazy hairs on the back of my neck.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
And like, well, he's you know, like you don't have
any pros. He needs to be with somebody who perfect.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
I'm a bad texterer. I'm good at phone call, like
the phone calls, but like texting. Oh okay, cool, you know, yeah, okay,
time out. You're saying, I'm judging you harshly, But I
actually spent a whole night with this person. You're talking
with me for maybe five min that person.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
That's the difference. Yeah, he's right, you're judgmental.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yeah, I think you're you're really being hard on this woman,
but and for something that again we were not We
don't have the time, nor is it our business to
get into. But it may or not even it may
reminding me something that she has control over. Or this
is my head's exploding, Sophia, I'll yeah, I assume after
this you don't want to go out with him anyway.
I mean, he has made his statement, but there's there's

(08:33):
nothing here, right, there's nothing there.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
Hearing him talk, it's a completely different person that I
went out with. Like, yes, my head spinning too.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
It's not a good look. But Hunter, a look has
the right to live. How don't I want to live?
I just I think it's extremely closed minded. But Hunter,
thank you for your time, thanks for answering, And Sophia,
good luck out there.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
Yeah yeah, peace in love. I got it. Thank you,
