Speaker 1 (00:02):
I've ever been a lot of waiting by the phone.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
It's the Fred Show.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
Adriana, good morning, Welcome to the show.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Hey, good morning.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
Can weg We're doing great? What's going on? Waiting by
the phone, of course, is what this is called. We're
trying to figure out if you may have been ghosted
by a guy named Paul. So how did you meet Paul?
Tell us about any dates that you've been on, and
then where things are now.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
I met Paul, like I think it was like maybe
like a week or two ago.

Speaker 4 (00:26):
On the engine.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
You know, It's like good chatting, you know, pretty comfortable,
and then we decided, you know, we set up a date.
So we went out and I thought it was really cute.
You know, the person's all good and it was really fun,
had a nice time, and we said, you know, like yeah,
we'll keep in touch and I let you do this again.
And but since then, I don't know, I haven't heard him.

(00:49):
I'm hearing from him.

Speaker 5 (00:51):
So.

Speaker 6 (00:53):
Okay, it's yeah, weird, this might really make sense to me.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Yeah, so you thought this day went really well, and
you know, you left to as many people who call
waiting by the phone do, thinking that you'd hear from
this guy again for another day. You even talked about it,
and have you reached out to him or are you
just waiting for him to call.

Speaker 6 (01:09):
I texted him and I didn't hear back from him,
but I just figured he was. You know, it's like
birth week, he's getting back to it, so like stuff's
going on.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
I guess, yeah, but I haven't.

Speaker 6 (01:20):
I haven't tried calling him yet. I mean he's kind
to that point yet.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
No, I mean, you want to be pursued by this guy.
If he's interested, he'll reach out. So and he has it,
so we're gonna call him. You'll be on the phone
at the same time. We'll see if we can get
Paul on. And you know, the hope here is that
we can you know, maybe he's been busy or something's
going on and we get straightened out. And if that's
the case, then we'll set you guys up on another
date and pay for it. Sound good, Adriana, Yeah, let's

(01:45):
see what's up? Part two. Waiting on the phone right
after Sabrina carpt it back in two minutes.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
It's the Frend Show.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
It's Friday, Sabrina Carpenter, The Frend Show, is on. Hey, Adriana, Hi,
all right, let's call this guy Paul. You met on
one of the dating apps, think it was Hinge said,
and you went on a date that you thought went
really well. You talked about going on another one, but
you have not heard from this man since the date,
and he's also left you on red because you texted
Paul this guy as well, and he has not responded,

(02:12):
and you want to know what's going on.

Speaker 6 (02:14):
Yeah, yeah, basically, I don't know. We left things on
such a good note. It seems like there'd be no
reason why we shouldn't go out again.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
No, let's see if he feels the same way. We're
gonna call him now.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Good luck. Adriana thinks, Hello.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Hi is this Paul, Hey Paul, good morning. My name
is Fred. I'm calling for the Fred's Show. It's the
morning radio show. I do have to tell you that
we are on the radio right now, and I would
need your permission to continue with the calls. That okay,
if we chatt for just a second, I give. I'll
take that as a yes. I know it's kind of strange,
but I'll get right to it. We're calling on behalf
of a woman named Adriana who says that you guys

(02:54):
met on one of the dating apps and you recently
went on a date. Do you remember meeting her?

Speaker 5 (03:00):
Yeah, yeah, I remember her.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Okay, So what happened because she reached out to us,
said that she enjoyed chatting with you before the date,
thought the date went well. Says that you guys talked
about going out again, uh, and that you would reach out.
I guess you haven't. And then you also haven't responded
to her. So what is your side? I mean, I
want nothing to do.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
With that, Jack Man?

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Why man?

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Okay? So date was going fine.

Speaker 5 (03:24):
We're just kind of talking about like how crazy the
world is, right like, yeah, you know, it's crazy, and
then we kind of got talking to him like something
like she just like blurts out like oh and don't
get me started on these people taking meds for mental health.
Just be an adult and handle your.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
And I was like, what I mean, that is a
random thing to just blurt out, like blurt to blurt out,
to blurt out, that's that's a random thing to say.
Like and by the way, in your medicine, I mean,
really is her that this is like the hill.

Speaker 5 (04:01):
That she's choosing a die On'm like what Okay, first of.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
All, I'm on medication.

Speaker 5 (04:06):
I know a lot of people that are on medication.
It's helped them tremendously, So she doesn't bother to ask
like are you on medication? Like how does it?

Speaker 2 (04:15):
See?

Speaker 5 (04:15):
How do you feel about this thing? Like it just
was super insensitive.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
And like ough, no, I mean not everybody who's taking
different meds is doing it too, because they're not big,
big boys and girls and grown ups and can't handle
their stuff right. Yeah, like some of this is chemical
and physiological and people need it and I don't know this.
I didn't remember her saying she as a doctor, and
that is just a very specific thing to have a

(04:40):
very strong opinion about. Let's Adriana is here the unmedicated Adriana.
I assume you're unmedicated. I forgot to mention that you
must not take anything right because only psychos do that
or people who can handle their stuff.

Speaker 6 (04:51):
Adriana, I didn't say that, like, you know, everyone who
takes meds not an adult. I'm just saying that, like
you know, so many people I know not. I feel
like everyone's like, oh I have eight age, do you
have to do other thirs.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
And it just doesn't make any sense, like.

Speaker 6 (05:05):
Where are all these people twenty years ago?

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Well, okay, but why do you care so much? Like
I mean, it's that kind of like an individual prerogative.

Speaker 6 (05:12):
No, I don't care them.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
It's the thing.

Speaker 6 (05:14):
It's like that was like one part of our conversation.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
We were talking for hours, and he's just picking this
one thing to hang up on and like that's the
only thing that matters.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
I guess now, okay, but no, it's like it's something
that applies to him though, and like apparently whatever you
said struck a chord with him because he feels like,
you know, it was kind of an un to him,
and Paul, you can correct me if I'm wrong, but
it sort of sounds like whatever comment you made seemed
a little bit insensitive or uneducated because like, for example,
in his case, maybe he needs it.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
No, I'm you know, that's that's fine, you know whatever,
if he's dealing with that right now. But it's like,
you know, I just happened to run into people you
know at my work and you know, my friends and stuff,
and it's just like it's a lot of excuses. Honestly,
it's not. You know, it's so much like think I
might be autoustic, and.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
I've never heard someone say that to me. I think
I might be anyway, Doctor Kekey, what are your thoughts
on this?

Speaker 6 (06:13):
I mean, is there treatment for what she's dealing with?
This is not regular?

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Like, girl, when's the last time you've been to a doctor?

Speaker 6 (06:20):
I'm in perfect health? Actually, So, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (06:25):
She's an adult.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Yeah, I mean I suppose you know, you're you can
have an opinion about whatever you want, people are taking
too much medicine or whatever. But it just so happens
that you're talking to somebody in Paul who you know,
he feels a certain kind of way about it and
it applies to him, and maybe not in the way
that you said. So, I don't know. I mean, Paul,
you've heard her explanation. Does it make you feel any better?

(06:46):
Do you think has she explained herself?

Speaker 3 (06:48):
No, it wasn't.

Speaker 5 (06:50):
An apology, it was an explanation.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
It was yeah, she did kind of.

Speaker 5 (06:55):
Like you're allowed to ask for help. It's just super toxic,
like that type of thought process.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Like oh, well, where were these people twenty years ago?

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Like I don't know why you were ill, they need help.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
We are there people abusing it, probably, But are there
people who are listening right now who, for the very
reasons that she's saying, are afraid to go to the
doctor and ask for help or ask if there's any
relief or anything because they were afraid of the generalization? Like, yeah,
I think I think. I feel like you're speaking from
a kind of an ignorant place, Adrian, Like if people
need medical help, they should get it whatever it is, right, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
I mean you say like that, Yeah, of course people
should yet help that they need.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
I'm just saying that, Like I.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
Think of it now is like people use it as
an excuse never.

Speaker 6 (07:37):
They are being lazy.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Whoa, it was getting better, but now it's not, so
it actually got worse. So so, Paul, I don't know,
I'll ask the question rhetorical. But you want to go
out with her again, We'll pay for it, and I'll
pay for all the medicine that you'll need to be
able to deal with it. Okay, No, I don't boy, Adrian.
I'd love to sit and ask her her opinion about
a lot of different things. I'm saying she probably got some,

(08:01):
he probably got some wild takes girl. He is not
interested though, in going out again. I'm sorry. It's not
gonna work out, Adriana, so Paul, thank you for your time,
and best of luck to both of you.
