Speaker 1 (00:02):
Ever been left waiting by the phone.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
It's the Fredshell.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
That's good morning, welcome, Hey, how's it going. You know,
it's great, everything is good. Thank you for asking. We
want to hear from you about this date that you
went on with Julia. So what happened? I mean, we
have your email, but explain to everybody else in the
room who's listening, how you met, about any dates that
you've been on, and then where things stand right now?

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Yeah, totally. So I met Julia on Hinge and honestly,
I just couldn't get over how just drop dead gorgeous
she was. I mean, just truly beautiful. I almost thought
I was being catfish, but I had to ask her
out and I got lucky because she said yes. So

(00:45):
we went out to a nice spot for dinner. We
had some drinks and I was really hoping to wow her,
but it most done up works because now she goes
to me and I had no idea why. I thought
the date went great, and you know, I'm a little disheordered.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Okay, so you put some thought into this date. You
went to a nice place. Looking back on the date,
you thought it went well. You felt like the conversation
was good, the chemistry was there, she was she looked
the same in person.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
I mean it.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
You know, it sounds like it exceeded your expectations.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
It's one hundred percent exceeded my expectations. So I you know,
I felt we had a great time, great conversation. I
just I really, for the life of me, don't understand
why she's ghosting.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Yeah, okay, Well, let's see if we can get a
hold of Julia and uh, and we'll ask some questions
for you. You'll be on the phone at the same time.
Don't say anything right at first, but at some point
you're welcome to jumping on the call after we get
you some info. And maybe this is something that we
can fix. Maybe she's been busy. Who knows a lot
of different possibilities, and perhaps we can set you guys
up on another date that we pay for.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Yeah, it don was great. I'll I'll be.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Quiet, all right, I'm gonna play one song. I'll be
right back. Hang on, let's see what's going on. Part two.
Waiting at the phone after Shabuzzi back in two minutes.
It's the Fred Show. Shabuzzi, It's the Fred Show. Good morning,
all right, let's call Julia. You guys met on Hinge,
the dating app. You went out, you planned a great date,
you thought it went well. You've reached out to her

(02:09):
a couple of times, it sounds like for another date,
and she is leaving you on red not responding, and
you want to know what's up exactly. Let's see we
can at least find you some closure here. We'll call
her now.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
Good luck, Thank you?

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Hello, Hi is this Julia? Hey Julia, thank you for answering.
My name is Fred. I'm calling from the Fred Show
and my whole crew is here and I have to
tell you that we are on the air right now.
I would need your permission to continue with this call.
Can we have a couple minutes of your time?

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Yeah, well, thank you very much for that.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
We're calling on behalf of a guy who says he
met you on a dating app but you went out recently.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
His name is Seth.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Okay, well that's a laugh.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
That we're very familiar with, that sort of uncomfortable like,
you know, yeah, something happened. He called us and told
us about you, had a lot of nice things to
say about you, said that he liked you, It was
attracted to you and was excited to go out and
planned a date and he says he thought it went well,
except he has not heard from you since then.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
So what is going on?

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Yeah, that that is correct. I just I moved on. Look,
I had a nice time. It was really like he
put a lot of fun into it. The dinner was great,
we had drinks.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Who was great.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
But if I'm being completely honest, I he had nail
polish on his nails were noticed, you know, on the
day his nails were painted. They were like all different
colors and it was just a lot. I like my
men as a man. I know that's not most people.

(03:56):
Most people feel, but look that's how I feel. And
that's just not my I'm not into that. I'm not
into it.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
So all of his nails were painted. Uh, like you said,
different color, molt like bright colors or whatever, if you want.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
To be specific.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
They were pastedell Okay, all right, well so they so
you on here, this is my thing, Julia. You liked
this guy, You were attracted to him enough on the
app and whatever kind of communication you had before the
day to go out with them, and and if the
only thing that you take away from this is that
the guy had painted nails. I mean that doesn't sound
too bad.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
Yeah, I mean, look, it might not sound bad to you.
To me, it's just it's a that's a deal breaker.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
I don't First of all.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
There was nothing on the profile.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Who like, what are you put in your profile?

Speaker 1 (04:45):
I paint my nails, Like what, I don't understand what
you what would you put on there?

Speaker 4 (04:49):
I don't know, Like if it wasn't a photo or
something like, I would think to.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
White guy more manly. In my opinion, he's more manly
because he does paint his nails and he's comfortable with
that instead of like you looking for some burly dude
with a beard, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
I mean, look, no, I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
For me.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
I am just when you paint your nails that it's
a very feminine saying. You know, I go get my
nails done with my girlfriend, Like it's a it puts
the bad tast in my Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
But if this dude had, well maybe that's what you're into.
What if he had nasty nails? What if the dude
had like, yeah, I'll have nails right, yeah, like they
were like long or dirty or I don't green probably
like that because it's manly or is your problem with
that tail?

Speaker 2 (05:34):
No?

Speaker 4 (05:34):
Look, maybe if he uses if it shows he uses
his hand, I'm sure. But look, you can keep your
nails looking nice, but there's no reason to then paint
them different colors like I just don't. There are other
ways that men can express themselves.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
And I just don't.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
That was a waste of a wax. You got a
wax too. You didn't even get to see it. You know,
there's nothing worse than when there's nothing worse than when
you prepare yourself for a day top to bottom and
h it doesn't go the way that you think it's
gonna go. I forgot to mention the Seth this year. Seth,
how dare you? How dare you paint your nails? I mean,
I don't know what you were thinking.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
I mean, I'm just like, I'm a little shuck like
that's very petty of you, you know, and having painted
nails has nothing to do with how much of a
man I am? I know, I no like no, no
machine gun. Kelly Okay, he landed Megan folks with painted nails,
and I would.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Say that's that's a lot of women and a lot
of man, that's a lot of stuff going on there.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
And and you know she's no machine or she's no
making fox or machine gun. Kelly Brankle.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Oh, I don't know about it.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
I mean that most people are so so Julia, that's
just that's it. Like you don't you're not taking him
out with your friends or family with painted nails like
to you? That says something to everybody else who says
something about him, and you're it's just not a track
to you.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
You're saying, yeah, that's correct.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
I know.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
Look, I know what I wanted a man. I was
very clear about that on the app, Like.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
That's not it.

Speaker 4 (07:09):
So I am moving on and I'm trying to find
the man for me. And sorry, Seth, but you are
not him.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Wow wow, Okay, well, Seth, I'm sorry. It's not going
to work out. This woman sounds a little close mind,
a lot closed minded. Actually, I'm sorry to say that
about you, Julia, but it.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
Look okay, But I know what I want? Is that wrong?
I don't think that's wrong.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
This dude could have.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Every ceature you're looking for, except he paints his nails
like I guess I wouldn't just qualify someone for that,
And who's to say that, Like you, if it really
that bad, it bothered you that much, who's to say that.
Once you got to know this guy, you could say, like,
I don't really I'm not really into the painted nails
the same way that I. You know, you could say
I don't I don't like when you wear a lot
a lot of makeup, or I mean, you could voice

(07:52):
your opinion about something. It doesn't mean they're going to change,
but you could express what you like in a partner.
But that's assuming that you're willing to invest them for
them and not just judge them off the you know
from the beginning.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
No, sorry, no, no.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Just okay, we're just just gonna judge people up front. Okay.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
Cool, Hey, Seth, I'm sorry it's not going to work out. Julia,
thank you for your time as well. Best of luck
to both of you out there. What I know the
