Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yeah, I've ever been left waiting by the phone. It's
the Fred Show. Hi Michelle, good morning, Welcome, good morning,
Thank you for having me. It's our pleasure. So welcome
to waiting by the phone. And nobody really wants to
be here. But every now and again we have a
happy ending, and we're trying to figure out why a
guy who you met might be ghosting you. So the

(00:22):
guy's name is Ralph, I know that much, But then
what happened from there to fill us in on all
the kind of the backstory and where we're at.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Okay, So I met Ralph on match dot com, right,
and so we started talking and.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
We were viving and we ended up, you know, chatting
back and forth, exchanging numbers, we started texting a few
phone calls, and then he basically asked me out on
a date, you know, real life. So we ended.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Up going to this really fun bar and we had
a good time and we had a lot of stuff
in common. So, you know, I thought that we were
going to continue talking and hanging out and he ended
up ghosting.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
So you look back on this date and you felt
like everything went really well. I always asked the question,
but like the connection was good, and the conversation was
good and all of that.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Yeah, we were.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Having a good time. We were talking the whole night.
I mean, I had so much fun. So I was
just shocking when I'm texting him the next day, the
day after that, the day after that and nothing. O.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Huh. All right, well, Michell, let's see if we can
get Ralph on the phone here in just a second,
and we'll ask questions for you. You'll be on the
phone as well, and you're welcome to jump in at
some point after we get you some info. And the
hope is that we can straighten things out and then
set you guys up on another date that we paid for.
All right, Okay, I'm gonna play one song. I'll be
back in two minutes and we'll do it. Stay right there, Michelle,
Let's see what happens next. After Jojia Cat Partuo A

(01:53):
waiting by the phone, then Sight twin in Vegas. We'll
hook you up the Frend Show twenty in Vegas. All
expenses paid, went in less than ten minutes. It's the
Fred Show. It's Friday. Good morning, Hey, Michelle, welcome back.
Let's call it Ralph. This is a guy that you
met recently went on a date with and you met
on match dot com, which I do think matters because
I know you can get on match dot com for free,

(02:15):
but a lot of people pay for it, and I
feel like once you're paying for it, you maybe take
things a little bit more seriously. I mean Match dot
com that's where you would go. That's where you go
if you're serious, right, Like, we're not messing around swiping,
we're like looking looking, right. Have you ever been on there?

Speaker 3 (02:29):
No, my mind.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Your mom's been yes, well i'll see there.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
You go serious?

Speaker 1 (02:36):
This is serious, all right? So she's intentional about it.
But anyway, you reached out to this guy, or you
met this guy and had a drink with him and
you thought it went really well. His name is Ralph,
except you have not heard from him since the date,
and you want to know.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Why we got it.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
That's what I want to know, all right, Let's.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Call him now? Good luck?

Speaker 3 (02:57):
Hello?

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Is this Ralph? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (03:00):
This is Ralph?

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Hey Ralph, good morning. My name is Fred. I'm calling
from the Fred Show of the morning radio show, and
I have to tell you that we are on the
radio right now and I would need your permission to
continue with the call can which out for just a second.
I'll tell you what about. I just need you to say, Okay, okay,
did I win something?

Speaker 3 (03:14):
No?

Speaker 1 (03:15):
You didn't? Actually well, and I always say no. My
first direction is no. But you may have depends how
you look at it. But so we're calling on behalf
of this woman named Michelle who says she met you
on match dot com and you guys went out recently.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
She's the worst.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Okay, well why because.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
She really really made my day with this Oh god.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Well she had a whole different impression of this night
apparently what happened, Ralph, because she liked you, I mean,
very good.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
Looking girl, but she's crazy. I mean she's like really
into sports, Like she was talking about the Patriots and
and I thought she was the mascot that she was
actually working for the Patriots, because if she talked about
him so much about stats and betting me, and she
got real aggressive in my face, was spitting in my face, drinking.

(04:05):
I was like, I don't even like sports. I was
like something got to be totally walking.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
To bet you, trying to bet you.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
Yeah, I mean like I mean, she got she got
so aggressive, like you know, she knows stats, about all
the players, and I don't like football.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
And she's not even from Boston.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
In a second, I was born in Boston.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
She's like me. I claim I was born in Boston too.
I was there for about twenty minutes, and I claim
you're not. But I'm not a Patriots fan. No, no, uh,
Michelle is here, by the way, Ralph, I forgot to
mention Michelle is here. Were you really disaggressive spitting in
his face about the Patriots?

Speaker 2 (04:43):
I don't recall sitting in his face. I mean, I
am excited about my Patriots.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Of court, were you trying to bet him.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Date joking around?

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (04:55):
Come on, yeah, of court?

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Bet him play. You know, there are certain sports fans
from certain teams that can be a little bit obnoxious.
I think we would agree. Uh, Packers fans could be obnoxious.
Packers fans would say, Bears fans can be obnoxious. Patriots fans,
Cowboys Cowboys fans. Oh my god, my brother in law.
I love him, but he's not obnoxious about it. But

(05:18):
I don't. I don't want them to win a Super
Bowl because I'd never hear the end of it. But anyway,
Michelle would are you willing to admit that maybe you're
one of those people that you're just you're really passionate
about it.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
I mean, I'm passionate about it. I didn't know that
I'm annoying about it.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
I mean to hear him his reaction, I just can't believe, Like,
why didn't you say something that night in my face?

Speaker 4 (05:39):
Well, you made sure to tell me that, hey, I
missed my fantasy football just to come have a drink
or two, and you started like, what the hell's going on?
I came to you know, talk.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
About not football? Well, what would you like to talk about, Ralph?
I'd like to know what what are your interests? What
would you have gotten erected with her? About life and traveling.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
Music, arts, not about I didn't go. I didn't go
to have a date with howel.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Yo Picasso is the best ever? Don't you tell me differently?
Have you ever traveled to Boston? Have you ever traveled
to a Patriots game? I think Michelle will take you
there if she likes to. For her, it's an art,
It's a moment of real life living arts. It's it's
the mecca. She stands in front of Gillette Stadium it

(06:29):
and just begins to weep. Every time. Look round, I.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
Think I think you guys think I'm not lying. She
was even talking about tailgating, and that's the next date.
I was like, this is not going to work.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
Well I don't work. I don't think you're lying. I
just I mean like it was so aggressive that you
you couldn't find any other common ground, none, none at all. Okay,
all right, well look Michelle, this guy. You were having
a good time, I guess because you were so into
your subject matter here that the New England Patriots, but
em betting him and among other things. But this was

(07:08):
like two different dates because you had a great time
and you wanted to know why he's not calling you again,
and this guy is like it was it was torture.
So you guys were on basically two different dates. You
were in two different places.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
I guess.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
I guess.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
So I thought we had a great time.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
But he's telling one of those Sealers fans.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
You see what I'm talking about.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
I beg you the Patriots this season.

Speaker 4 (07:34):
Here we go.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
I'm starting to understand.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Now.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Okay, look guys, it's not going to be a match.
I wish you guys both the best of luck and
thanks for your time, thank you,
