Speaker 1 (00:02):
I's ever been left waiting by the phone.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
It's the Fred Show. Hey Samantha, good.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Morning, Good morning, how are you.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
We are great, welcome to the little program. Here. Tell
us what's going on with this guy Greg. We'd like
to know all the background, So how you met, about
any dates that you've been on, and then how we
can help Now.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Okay, sure, I actually met Greg at a bar. I
haven't been out in a long time, but I went
out for some drinks with some girls and he was
out with some guys, and he actually just like walked
right up to me, even though I was in this
group of girls, and like started chatting me up.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
Okay, I thought that was pretty bold and rare, and
I don't know, we kind of clicked he's for my number,
and so a little later we ended up going out
on a date, which was we.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Kind of like walked around the city before grabbing some
drinks and then we did end the day with wine
at my house. Nothing happened, but it was like a
five hour date and things were awesome, And I just
don't know how it could have been that bad if
if it was that long.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Like we were together for so long.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Yeah, like at any point why, like, after maybe an
hour or two, a couple drinks, you can bail. But no,
it went exactly half a.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
Day, exactly exactly.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
So I don't know why he's ghosting after.

Speaker 5 (01:26):
All of that.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
And I like the cheesepa of this dude to just
roll up on a group of women. I mean, it's
one thing to walk up on a stranger, you know,
but it's another thing to walk up on a on
a group of girls, because it's kind of like, now
you're presenting to the class, you know what I mean,
Like it's kind of you got to you got to
have some game.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
Absolutely, yeah, Well, which is what obviously attracted me to
him in the first place. You know, I thought that
was awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
That makes a lot of sense. Well, let's call it Greg.
We'll see if we can get him on the phone.
Because he hasn't reached out to you. I guess that's
the deal.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
He's disappeared, right, so he didn't reach out, and then
I figured i'd, you know, text him then, I don't know,
just to see and no response.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Okay, all right, Well let's call him. We'll see if
we can reach him, and we'll ask him these questions.
I don't want you to say anything right at first,
but at some point you're welcome to come in. I'm
gonna call and you know, maybe we can straighten this out,
figure out what's going on. Set you guys up on
another date that we pay for, all right.

Speaker 5 (02:18):
I would like that.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
That sounds good.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
I'm gonna play one song and we'll come back and
we'll call it Greg. Okay, Okay, let's find out what's
going on. Part two of Waiting metaphone after can leave
it back in two minutes. Fred shows on so Lately, Samantha. Yes,
all right, let's call Greg. You guys, he actually walked
up to you in a bar, and you guys wound
up connecting, going out a couple times, having a great time,
or at least going out and having it one long

(02:41):
date that I'm aware of, right, just the one.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
Yeah, it was just the one.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Okay, but that went really well. You expected to hear
from him. He hasn't reached out. You've reached out to
him and he hasn't replied. So definitely a ghosting situation.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Yeah, it's the definition I think at the point.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
All right, well, let's call him now and see if
we can figure this out. Good luck.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Okay, thank you.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Hello, Hi issus Craig speaking Craig, Good morning Fred from
the Fred Show. The Whole Creuse here. I'm sorry to
bother you, but I do have to tell you that
we are on the radio right now and I would
need your consent to continue with the call. Can we
chat for just a second?

Speaker 6 (03:22):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (03:24):
I don't. I don't think so, man, I go, is
this we're playing video games?

Speaker 2 (03:28):
No, we're on the radio actually, so I would need
it yes, to keep going. You just have to We
can chat for a minute. You can hang up if
you want to if you don't like him. Okay, that's
a yes. So we're calling on behalf of a woman
named Samantha. I guess you walked up to her in
a bar and you guys, went on a date, like
a long date, is what she described. Yeah, okay, So

(03:51):
she's kind of wondering what happened to you because the
way she describes it is you you know, you kind
of had the gusto to walk up to her in
a bar when she's with her girls and get her number,
and you know, hit on her. You went on a
five hour date, she says, And you're not responding to her. Now,
So what's that about.

Speaker 5 (04:07):
Yeah, I'm just I'm just not interested yet. I mean
met Samantha. I mean she's just annoying.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
So she's annoying. You're not interested? Well, come on at
this point, like can you give us some more because
she'd like to know we can have some closure here
and you know, annoying What does that mean?

Speaker 5 (04:23):
I mean she's a snob, she's this wanna be baller,
you know what I mean, Like, I don't know abow
else to describe it.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
No, I don't know, like what does that mean?

Speaker 5 (04:31):
So Okay, like we went out. We additionally had pretty
good conversation. She's very attractive. I thought she was cool.
The date obviously proved otherwise. We like just went on
this walk, which was great, and then we went for
drinks and that's when it all began. She asked for

(04:52):
a wine lift, which is fine whatever, they didn't have one.
The server listened to some stuff that they had, and
so then she asked for samples of like three or
four different wines and the waiter was like, okay, well
you know, here's what we have, but you know, sorry,
and like okay, So she they gave her like three

(05:13):
or four different wines, and she said, well, you know what, Look,
I'm not formally trained, but i'm basically a master sum
We're not at a wine bar like this is like
basically a dive bar, like we're West Loop okay, And
so she bore wines total.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Like boxed wine is what they brought her. Then like yes,
it was like.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Yes, that type of play gallow type of stuff, right, yeah, so.

Speaker 5 (05:49):
Like and then like I'm telling you, like she then
it's like smelling it and shipping it and she doesn't
drink it. She gargles it and spits it back in
the glass. And then she's telling this poor waitress like
these aren't the correct temperature and you aren't like whatever,
and I'm like, oh my god, like just just order
something else. Then so she gets a Vodkatonic, which is fine,

(06:12):
and I'm like, great, that nightmare is behind me. Then
she's like, hey, you know what, I actually have a
great like you know, I have more drinks in my house.
You want to check this out. And at this point
I kind of feel trapped, so I'm like, all right,
I guess. So we go to her house and she
shows me her wine collection and I'm making quotes because
it basically looked like she just went into a grocery

(06:33):
store and bought, like, you know, the top shelf of
whatever they had in the grocery.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
So she took to her cellar her wine. Yes, exactly,
she's basically a master some of which they're only two
hundred in the world, so that's amazing. Basically.

Speaker 5 (06:46):
Yeah, so she's pretty good that she's a master's sound
of these crappy wines that aren't good enough for her,
but she has at her house.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Okay, so really pretend the wine and it kind of
wasn't the right venue and it came off the wrong way.
I forgot to mention this. Samantha is here, Samantha. I mean,
it's one thing to be like a hobbyist or to
have preferences or whatever, but you kind of got to
read the room, right.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
I'm so sorry that my vast knowledge and passion for
bitis vnifera is so intimidating for what. Okay, which those
are the kinds of strapes used for producing wine.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
If you didn't know, Oh yeah I didn't. Can I
get that at Mariano? So I see, So you you're
vast intimidating.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
It's what you're saying, well clearly, and like my palate
is refined and I can't just drink anything, so what like,
what's the big deal?

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Okay, it's just you just sound like a d It was.

Speaker 5 (07:40):
Not the place. It was not the it was embarrassing,
it was obnoxious. I mean, it's just I just need
somebody that is way more authentic. I mean, if you're
way less I made it.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
If you're a wine expert, that you would know when
you go to TGI Fridays, right, that the wine list
is not going to be extensive, Right, but I could.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
Still find the best wine on that list. Like what
I'm hearing is that like he can't accept my passion
and then he's jealous of my talents, Like, don't date me.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Then if you're gonna be jealous of this, I see.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
But if you can't appreciate some old vine Barossa or
I don't know, a Chris Sonoma shard, then no, I
don't want.

Speaker 5 (08:17):
To see you again.

Speaker 7 (08:18):
You need to be like your wine and put a
cork in it, because this is those conversations.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
I'm lost.

Speaker 7 (08:23):
I know, just drink it. You could really taste all
that by gargling. So here we are it's snickers. You
guys have an old vine.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
They would kick you out, like maybe from ninety eight.
I mean, because that's sort of the vintage I'm after.
But with my venus vifieria what I mean you realize
you sound ridiculous, right, I mean, I mean you kind
of do.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
No, I don't sound ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
I don't appreciate this.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
And what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna save my
hundred point wines for someone with some sophistication.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
Oh sick Burn, you really got him, Greg, I gotta
tell you something, man, I very rarely side with the men.
Most men that do this are douchebags. But like, I
don't blame you. I wouldn't put up with this. And again,
if you if you like wine, and you know, you
go to a place that has a lot of wine
and you know what to pick, like that's something. But

(09:22):
this sounded like a whole thing.

Speaker 5 (09:24):
Yeah, I mean, if I ever need to know what
crappy wine pairs best with my three dollars nachos, that's.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Perfect, Samantha, you would know, right, Yes, I would know.
Doesn't depend what kind of cheese on theos is it?
You know, I'm it doesn't.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
I'm not an expert on cheese, but I know how
to pairing properly.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
I mean, is it like melty nacho cheese they like
for the pump cheese. Yeah, I mean you gotta know,
huge difference, you gotta know which venus so like a
Harry Potter wizard right now.

Speaker 6 (09:56):
I mean, we're sorry, like, we don't mean to be rude,
but you just kind of placing quidditch.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
I don't even know what that has to do with anything,
but okay, look, Samantha, thank you for your time. There's
your answer. Greg. I appreciate you talking with us as well.
Good luck to both of you in your endeavors.

Speaker 6 (10:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Ok. The Entertainment Report with Caitlin is up next in
two minutes, Show Bis Shelley, two hundred Bucks, The Throwback
throw Down, name that two in Battle all coming up.
