Speaker 1 (00:02):
Ever been left waiting by the phone. It's the Fred Show.
Hey Pete, good morning, Welcome to the show.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
How are you, Hey, good morning. I'm all right.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
So Pete, tell us what's going on with this woman, Brinn?
How did you meet? We got to know about any
dates you've been on, any details you can give us,
and why you think she's ghosting you?

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Okay, So we met.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
We were watching the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
We're at a bar.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
The playoffs were on. I was watching the game, and
she seemed pretty great.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
We hit it off.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
I got her number, and we planned to go out again,
not football oriented, and grab some drinks and dinner a
few nights later, and it was I don't know, we
just hit it off, like I don't know what happened,
because afterwards she just starts acting a little off and
she's not really in a rush to go out on
another date. And I thought we were connecting. I don't know,

(00:55):
we could talk about all these other things, and then
she just kind of ghosted. And I'm just I'm hoping
you guys can help me figure out why I.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Do love a a meeting in the wild situation.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
You know, we don't hear about a lot of those
I feel like all of these start on an app,
which is how everybody meets. I got that, But like
the thing about meeting in the wild is it sort
of takes away that is there going to be chemistry?
Does the person look the same We've obviously heard that
one before. They don't look the same as their pictures
or whatever. So there's a lot that you kind of
can read when you first meet somebody that you don't
know when you meet on the apps, which I think

(01:26):
if that works, then you're off to a better start.
But in this case, you're saying you did actually hang
out separately, and now she's not calling you.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Exactly like it's we got to know each other. We
were laughing, Like I think laughter's great. On a day
you realize like, oh I can connect with this person,
and I just I The silence afterwards is also like
did I do something? Yeah, I'm okay if I did,
but I just want to know what I was so
I don't.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
Do it again. Yeah, right, I get it. He's not
a nice guy. Let's call this woman BN in just
a second, Well, place long will come back.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
You'll be on the phone.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
I don't want you to say anything right at first,
but at some point you're welcome to jump in on
the call, and the hope, as always is that we
can straighten this out and then set you up on
another date that we pay for.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Sound good, awesome, thank you, thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
Let's see what's up in part two of waiting by
the phone after gogn Bruno Mars back in two minutes
commercial free on the Fred Show right now. Hey got
got Bruno Mars. The Fred Show is on. Hey, Pete, Yeah,
all right, welcome back. Let's call it Bryn. You actually
met out in person, you were watching football games, You
got her number. You guys went on a date. The
date went well, but you've been reaching out since the

(02:36):
date trying to get a hold of her to plan
another one because you thought there would be another one.
Except she's not responding to you, and you want to
know why.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
That's exactly exactly it.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
We're gonna call it Brinn right now. Good luck man. Hello,
Hi is this Brin? Hey Brin?

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Good morning. My name is Fred.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
I'm calling from the Fred Show, the Morning radio Show,
and I have to tell you that we all on
the radio right now and I do need your permission
to continue with the call. Can which have for just
a second, would you mind thank you very much for
calling on behalf of a guy named Pete. I guess
you guys met in person and then went on a
date recently. Do you recall Pete?

Speaker 4 (03:16):
I recall a Pete, but but a date?

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Well, what do you mean? Because he we just talked
to this guy Pete.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
He says he met you at a bar, you were
watching football, and then he asked you on a date.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
And then he says you went on a date. And
so now what I.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
Want to hang out like, you know, like dinner, drinks,
maybe watch another game or something.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Sounds like a date though, like dinner and drinks.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
What's possible?

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Why?

Speaker 4 (03:43):
Because because Pete's a guy and I've been a lesbian
for as long as I can remember.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Oh minor detail that.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Is a twist in the story that I did not
see him? Is Pete aware of your interests?

Speaker 1 (04:02):
I mean, we.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Didn't talk about that kind of thing. I just, I
don't know, thought I was making a new friend.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
So this dude approaches you asked what he thought he
was doing was asking you out, and You're just like no,
this is a nice man in a bar who wants
to buy me dinner, and you're like, Okay, I don't
have to disclose that I actually don't like what he
has to offer. What I mean, that's you're right, by
the way, you don't you don't have to like qualify anything, Like,
you know, someone can ask you to hang out and
that doesn't mean that anything is happening. But I guess

(04:30):
that it would be safe to assume that if a
dude approaches you, he's a stranger and wants to take
you to dinner. I don't know that it's unfair for
him to assume that was a date.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
Right, Well, that.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Doesn't what happened that often.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
I guess, Okay, I.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
Just thought we like, we're just clicking and yeah, that's all.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Okay, Well, I mean dude's cool.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Yeah, I mean that's that's honest and it's fair. I
got to bring Pete in, though I forgot to mention
that Pete is here with us. I get caught up
in a storm. I'm so forgetful. Pete turns out, so
we just learned a piece of information that would have
been vital to this whole thing.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Turns out she doesn't like men. Oh no, I'm.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Listening, am I the first to tell you that maybe
she just told you where you been.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
I mean we were wearing the same shoes. Oh well,
in that case.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
Gay, you both wearing like birkenstocks like shoes. What was
the dead giveaway there? I don't understand what kind of
shoes were we both wearing?

Speaker 5 (05:41):
Steel toel? I guess honestly, I don't. I don't know
that the footwear would have given it away. I don't know,
That's what I'm saying. No one gave me the guide
book on what lesbian shoes looked like.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
We gotta look at her shoes.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
We got gotten the look book on that yet. But
what what shoes were you wearing Britain? That would have
given it all the way?

Speaker 4 (06:06):
They were definitely Nikeys from the men's section.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
The women in his room Nikes from the men's section.
So I don't, okay, Peter, are you okay over there?
Because you're not saying much. You seem a little stunned, like,
are you okicks? It's just an honest mistake.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
It's I mean, it makes so much sense now, but
I don't believe I called this in and now everybody
gets to hear it.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Oh no, don't worry about that is, this is the
least sinister of all of them.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Like, we've heard a lot of really bad stuff. What
do you want to say?

Speaker 4 (06:41):
Oh, I just say you have my number if you
still to hang out.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
Oh wait a minute, how about that?

Speaker 3 (06:47):
Like I don't think that's ever happened before, where people
at the end of waiting my the phone wind up
being actual friends. Like she's not saying she doesn't like
you as a human, she just doesn't like your parts.

Speaker 6 (06:58):
I yeah, I mean I might, I might need some
time just so every time I see you, I don't
think about how uh embarrassed I am.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Eventually you didn't.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Know, you didn't know you got your hopestep, But that's
not your fault.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
Hit me up.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
I'll tell you what. If you guys want to go
out again, let me know. We'll pay for that. You
guys can go a little friendly date. And uh, I'm
sure that was embarrassing. You know, I might have asked
a few more questions like I don't know who's your
favorite w NBA players.

Speaker 7 (07:35):
Not the lesbian screening questions.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Well, we were trying to This would have avoided this situation.
He needs something, something needs to happen. Go to the
next situation.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
Yes, I guess my point is I feel like Pete
may have missed some obvious clues, but he's a sweet man.
But Brin, hey, I think you've been very cool about this,
and Pete, I don't think you should be embarrassed. And
I think that I think if you guys choose to
go out again and be friends, which you should, let
us know and we'll pay for the date or not date,
We'll pay for the outing, the activity or whatever.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Okay, Oh my god.

Speaker 7 (08:13):
I'm just say suggesting things a friend do.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
They're bros. They're bros what watching sports?

Speaker 3 (08:23):
When they met women who like men watch sports. I
don't think that's the giveaway. I'm just saying you like sports, and.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
You're very very strange, might say, very very straight sports guys.
For her, yes, I've seen her shoes.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
You guys, thank you for being good sports Okay, and
I'm glad we got this straight now, good luck to
both of you. The Entertainment Report with Caleb's up next,
