Speaker 1 (00:00):
I've ever been left waiting by the phone.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
It's the Fred Show. Good morning, don welcome, how are you?
Good morning?

Speaker 1 (00:07):
So let's start from the top here on waiting by
the phone. I know in your email it says he
you met this dude a Jason on a Hinge. Then
tell us what happened from there.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Yeah, so we met on Hinge and you know, like
we were really quicking, and so we exchanged numbers and
we went on on a date and I mean, I
think everything went really well and I really liked him,
and you know, we talked about seeing each other again
and then just nothing. I just I don't I don't

(00:37):
get it, because it seems like we were both having
a good time, and you know we even said like hey,
you know, I was like, hey, we should do this again.
He was like yeah, totally, and nothing.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Yeah, we hear this a lot.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
I mean, I said, I know, the right thing to
do if you go out with somebody one time and
you're never going to see him again, the right thing
to do is say like, you know what, this isn't
working and I'm you know, I'm not going to be
interested moving forward. But nobody does that. Instead they say sure, yeah,
and then they ghost, you know, which is annoying. But
that's where we come in. We're gonna try and get
some answers for you because, especially on the dating apps,
I talk about this all the time because I've been

(01:08):
on him, is when you meet someone you think is
cool and you get excited about them, only to find
out that it's not gonna go any further than one day.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
It is like it's super disappointing.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Yeah, and like I don't know just right forward, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Yeah, all right, well let's see if we can get
him to tell us what's going on. We're gonna call
this guy Jason. You'll be on the phone, give us
a second to get some info, and then you can
jump in if you want, and hopefully whatever's going on,
we can strain it out and set you guys up
on another date and pay for it. Okay, can you
hang on for a second, We're gonna find out what's
going on. In Part two of Waiting at the phone
after Lowly Young back again two minutes, don't move. It's

(01:41):
the Fred Show, Lowly Young, the French show is on
the radio and the iHeart app you can listen live
every morning, catch up anytime search, put the Fred Show
on demand and make us a pre set Part two
of waiting by the phone.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Dawn.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
All right, let's call Jason. You guys met on Hins.
You went out on a date that you thought went well.
You talked about seeing each other again, and he agreed,
all you that would be great, you know whatever, Except
now he's ghosting and you want to know why.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
All right, let's call him right now. Good luck? Hello, Hi,
is this Jason.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Yes, it is a Jason Fred Fred show, but he's
here from the show, and I have to tell you
that we are on the radio right now and I
need your permission to continue with that call with this call.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Is that okay? If we do that?

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Yeah, sure, thank you. We appreciate that. We're calling on
behalf of a woman named Dawn, who I guess you
met on Hinge and you went on one date with
Do you recall this date this woman?

Speaker 4 (02:34):
Yeah? Yeah, I remember.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Okay, Well, she described a great date and said, you
guys have talked about seeing each other again and believe
that would happen, except now you're ghosting, and she's kind
of wondering, why can you explain to us what happened?

Speaker 4 (02:48):
Yeah? Yeah, I can do that. Yeah, we went out
and yeah, it was a really nice time. We had
some great conversations. She was really cool. But I noticed
that she uh she happens to uh dip like chewing back.
Yeah those guys.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Yeah, so okay, like like uh little comes in a
little round container and I don't know people anymore, so
and you like stick the tobacco in your lip and
then you spit the remnants out.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
Yeah, yeah, and a lot. I went to college in
Texas and like I did to a lot of unfortunate friends.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Who did it? I leave the solo dip cups all
over the Okay, so she dips. So this, does she
get in your car like put a dip in? Or
was there already a dip in when she got in
the car?

Speaker 4 (03:40):
My car was in the shop, so like she was
taking me in her car, and yeah, I happened to
notice the dip in her like like one of the
cup holders.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Get in the car. Did you go in a glove
compartment though? Does she like get it out to put
the dip in?

Speaker 4 (04:00):
Yeah, that's right, like she opened it up and then
then put it that's there.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
I'm sorry, that's disgusting. I don't want to kiss somebody
after they've done that. Let me bring Don and I
forgot to mention the Donn. So Don, you're a you're
a dipper.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
I mean, it's better than smoking.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
I don't know, is it?

Speaker 3 (04:16):
You know, everyone has a vice. It's been a really
stressful time. Like if it gives you a little bit
of comfort just to stick a fat dip in your lip,
I think there's a buzz, right, I mean, you.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Good.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
First of all, it's not better than smoking. Some scientists
say that it's arguably worse, like four different types of cancer.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Yeah, we're not here endorsing it. I don't that's that's
I don't know if that's a true statement. I don't
think it is. But let's talk about just a disgusting
habit in general. Though, I mean, it's you gotta admit,
don it's gross, Like it's not.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Yeah, it's pretty gross.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
I mean, it's not.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Like my best feature. But I I just I don't
think that that is, you know, no second gate worthy.
It's not like.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
It was the whole time. Okay, it's not like don't
you like present the best version of yourself though on
a first date? Yeah, you don't dip until the third day.
That's a rule.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
But do you want your advertising? Okay?

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Yeah, I mean to embarrass you, but it's just kind
of yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
I mean, but you did ask I mean, you asked
us to find out why he didn't call you, and
he's telling us that you had a discussing habit. He
thought and and and you know, I don't know, do
you do you expect someone to kiss you after you've
had a big water of tobacco in your mouth. I mean,
I'm just surprised you've never heard this before. Like, unless
I feel like, here's the thing. I feel like a lesson.

(05:38):
The other person also dips. I feel like you're probably not.
You know, they may or may not enjoy that habit
of yours.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
I think smoking every day.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
It's not every day just on dates. Okay, Well, I
mean but you know, you ask us for the information
we got.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
He's on into it, she needs it. It's a hard
couple of years or whatever.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Okay, So so not going to be another eighthan Jason, right,
I mean I can assume we're not doing this again.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
Yeah, definitely not.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Okay, Hey, John, look you do you and and I'm
sorry it didn't work.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
Out.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
But you know, everybody has their thing and for him,
he doesn't. He wasn't into the dip cup. And it's
kind of gross. It's actually real gross. Oh wow, maybe
throw them out. It's okay, do you but and do you?

Speaker 2 (06:20):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Okay, all right, sorry, be select to both of you. Okay,
