Speaker 1 (00:02):
I've ever been laughed waiting by the phone. It's the
Fred Show. MICHAELA, good morning, welcome to the show.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
How are you.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
Oh my gosh, good morning. I'm good. Thank you guys
so much. You guys are like my favorite morning show.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Well, thank you, thank you for We love that especially
we love the compliments. To please with the compliments. What's
going on with this dude, Derek? Can you tell us
like how you met and about any days that you've
been on and then where things are now?

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Yeah, so we Derek and I met on the apps
and we had an amazing first date.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
Like we hit it off, and I was honestly just
over the moon finally meeting like a decent guy off
of those and he even reached out directly after our
date to play on the second one. And now out
of nowhere, it's radio silence. I haven't heard from him.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Okay, So you look back on this date and I
always asked this question just to double check, but like
you really felt like everything went well.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
There was good chemistry, good conversation.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
I mean you said you were over the moon about this, Like,
I mean, you know you really thought this was going
someplace and I know it can be hard to find
that these days on the apps and trying to meet
people in the wild and whatever else.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Yeah, I mean honestly, like he wouldn't have reached out
to me after the date if it hadn't gone well
on his end. It's like, I don't know what I
did wrong between planning our next date and now.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
That is a good point. Nothing changed, That is a
good point. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
So, MICHAELA, We're gonna play one song, come back in
like two minutes. We're gonna play or excuse me, call
this guy Derek. We're gonna ask these questions for you.
You'll be on the phone at the same time, and
the hope is that we can straighten this out and
set you guys up on another date and pay for it.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Okay, all right, thank you, Let's see what's going on.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Part two of waiting on the phone right after the
Eyelish Back in two minutes on the Freend Show, Don't
Move the Elish the fread Show song.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Good morning.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Thanks for having us on the radio and live on
the iHeart app or anytime search put a fred Show
on demand. Hey, Mikayla, Yeah, all right, let's call this
guy Derek. You all met on a dating app and
you really had a great experience with him. The date
was successful, you know, you described it as you were
over the moon to finally connect with someone from those things,

(02:11):
and you thought the chemistry was there. He reached out
after the dates, You're like, that's a good sign. We're
going to plan another one. And then the dude disappears, right,
and like.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
I just want to know what happened?

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Right?

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Where'd he go?

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Right? Right? Okay, Well, let's call him now and find out.
Good luck? Hello, Hi is this Derek? Yes, hey, Derek,
good morning.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
My name is Fredam calling from the Fred's Show, the
Morning Radio Show, and I have to tell you that
we are on the radio right now. I would need
your permission to continue with the call.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Is that okay? If we which aver just a second?

Speaker 5 (02:44):
Oh yeah, that's cool.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Okay, Well, thank you so much for calling on. Behalf
of a woman who met you on one of the
dating apps. I guess you recently went out. Her name
is Mikayla. Do you remember Michayla.

Speaker 5 (02:54):
Oh yeah, I do remember Michaell okay, all right, Well,
she had a lot of things to say about you,
said that she enjoyed meeting you, and uh, and I
was hoping to see you again that you reached out
after the date to set up another date, and then
you disappeared.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
So why did you disappear?

Speaker 5 (03:12):
Listen, mckitnoth seeming really nice. I just I kind of
saw some red flags on her Instagram and uh yeah,
that's pretty much it.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Okay, So you guys went out and that went well,
and then you looked her up on Instagram or followed
her or whatever, and then you saw some stuff.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
What did you see?

Speaker 4 (03:29):
Uh yeah, I don't know, just.

Speaker 5 (03:32):
Just some things that, you know, just personal stuff that
kind of concern me. It's not she's a nice person.
I have nothing against her. I just you know, want
to but.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Noel, I mean, can you give us a little more
Because she was hoping to kind of put this to
rest or hopefully straighten it out and go out with
you again.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
It's like, what do you mean?

Speaker 5 (03:53):
All right? Listen, this this may sound harsh, and I'm
not trying to hurt anyone's feelings, but I am entitled
to my opinion. Do not want to date someone, So
if you guys really want to know, I saw that
Mikayla used to be quite a bit bigger, like a

(04:16):
lot bigger, And I'm not you know, while I'm happy
for her weight loss journey and whatever, I guess, I
just know that there's always a possibility that she could
go back to that.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Are you serious?

Speaker 5 (04:30):
Well, you know, here's the thing. I'm looking for a
future and she could pass those genes on to my
future kids. And that's just something I don't I'm not
looking for.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
I'm not. It's just the name.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
I mean, I don't know, we don't know. You don't
know enough about this person to know anything. Maybe she
gained some weight, lost the weight, and this is the
lifestyle she wants to live now, and that's the way
it's going to be. Like, who are you to say,
I have never heard of this before. You don't want
to date a skinny girl that used to be big.

Speaker 5 (04:56):
But it's a matter of health issue and your family
planning and it's just one of those things like it's
concerned and yeah, I don't I'm I'm interested, but.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
You're dealing with the person that you're dating now, like
the person in front of you.

Speaker 5 (05:11):
Yeah, but I have to have to think about the future.
You got to think about my kid's future. You got
to think about all that stuff. So yeah, I mean
it's it's kind of like if you look at the
person's mom and if their mom's ugly, that that's what
they're going to look like when they get older.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
You.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Oh, you're not wrong there. Wait, he's actually not wrong
with that one.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Like wait, man, if a person's mom is unattractive, then
they're not going to be attractive.

Speaker 6 (05:32):
A lot of times we kind of look like our parents,
So he's not wrong in that aspect. But this is
the most shallow, disrespectful reason to not date someone that
I've ever heard of. Now, I'm just saying, if the
whole family ugly, you do.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
But if the person that you're attracted to me seems ugly,
then why are we not doing Why are we not
dealing with what's in front of us right now? Like
we all have stuff from our past that could disqualify.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
As I mean, I got some crazy looking cousins, so
I don't know, man, But even like, even if it's
not your appearance, I mean, maybe you lived a certain
kind of life and you change.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Yeah, yeah, right, I would like to see what you
look like, Derek, because.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
You know, you better be hot as hell. Keeping it right,
it tight.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
I forgot to mention dark that Kayla is here. You
used to be Mikayla. You were a bigger girl, and
now you're not. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
I worked really hard to get to where I am,
and I can't believe I'm being judged for who I
was in my past and not who I am now.
Like who I'm now is confident, and I'm proud of
this work I've done in the journey right that I've
taken to.

Speaker 6 (06:38):
Be here is somebody so much better?

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Girl.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
You did not need to waste that time with this Moser.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
Yeah, I'm honestly, I'm shocked, and I'm thankful I called
in because I did not expect this out of Derek.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
So I think I know why you're sitt You're lost.
I mean, you're going to find something wrong with everybody,
aren't you.

Speaker 5 (06:57):
Look, I just have my own preferences, That's all it is.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
You know, why would the way his mother looked like though?

Speaker 4 (07:02):
Because my preference to be not to.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Date a jerk.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
So yeah, that's fine.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
But well, I have tried to be nice.

Speaker 5 (07:09):
I tried to not I listen, I just I stopped.
I said I wasn't interested. I didn't try to put this.
Put this out there for everybody that's.

Speaker 4 (07:16):
You know, you didn't say that you weren't interested. The
reason we're here bond to me.

Speaker 5 (07:21):
Well, take to hit next time.

Speaker 6 (07:23):
You know, this guy is I got a lot of words.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Man.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
Wow, all right, you know what, Mikayla, this is. This
is going to work out better for you now you
you've seen this guy's true colors. And and I'll be honest,
just the best kind of closure because now it's not
like you missed out. This guy kind of sounds like
a jack not kind of all right. Well, Derek, thanks
for answering. Good luck out of there man. Mikayla, good

(07:47):
luck to you as well, and congratulations on the transformation.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
Keep at it, Thank you, thank you.
