Speaker 1 (00:02):
Ever been last waiting by the phone. It's the Fred Show.
He and good morning, welcome to the program. How are you,
good morning, I'm I'm doing okay, okay, well just okay.
What's going on with this woman Nina? We're here on
waiting by the phone, trying to help you out and
hopefully straighten things out for you and get you set
up on a date here, but we got to know
(00:23):
all the backstory. How did you meet Nina? How many
dates have you been on? And you know what's going on?
Why do you think you're being ghosted? For sure?
Speaker 2 (00:31):
Well let me just break it down for you. I
met Nina on the apps and we hit it off,
and I got to be honest, I was locked in,
like right away. I knew I wanted to guctually be
with her, and I asked her at dinner and she
said yes, and you know, we went and we're having
a blast. But I guess things could have gotten a
(00:52):
little weird on the date though, because my dad did
walk into the restaurant to grab carry out. Okay, so yeah,
like Nina handled it like a pro, and she even
invited my dad to have a drink with us, which
he took as a good sign, and I took as
a good sign, and you know, I was super relieved.
But now I'm not hearing from her at all, so
(01:13):
maybe she really did mind. I just you know, and honestly,
I just.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Need your help to find out. I mean, you felt
like everything went well with that though, Like you can't
really help if someone you know or family member walks
into a place where you are, so it's like, that's
not necessarily your fault. And then but it sounds like
that went smoothly at least. Nobody was like super uncomfortable
or anything weird, right.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Exactly, Like it was a weird thing at first, but
she made it not weird, and it was super calm
and chill. My dad had a drink and left like
it was it wasn't it was weird, but it wasn't
like off putting.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
I would say, Okay, all right, well let's see if
we can get Nina on the phone. We'll call her
in a couple of minutes. You'll be on the phone too.
We'll ask these questions for you, and we'll see if
we can figure out what's up, and then hopefully we
can straighten things out and set you guys up. One
another day that we paid for. So good. You've got
to hear what happens next part to you. Wait a
minute phone after this song back in two minutes after
hoes your Fred's Show. Hey, Ien, hy, welcome back. Let's
(02:11):
call Nina. You guys, you met let's see on the
apps and you went on a date, set the date up.
You know, you did all the chatting and the sort
of preliminary stuff. You go on this date. You thought
the date went great, but you have not heard from
her since the date, and you want to know why.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
That's pretty much it.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Okay, let's call her now, good lucky in thank you. Hello, Hi,
is this Nina? Hey Nina, good morning. My name is Fred.
I'm calling from the Fred's Show, the Morning radio show,
and I have to tell you that we are on
the radio right now and I would need your permission
to continue with the calls and cool for chat for
(02:50):
just a second.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Sure, we thank you very much.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
I know it's kind of strange and a little bit
of brop, but we're call on behalf of this dude
named Ian who reached out to us. I guess you
guys met on the apps and went on a date recently.
Do you remember Ian.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Oh, yes, yes, that is true.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
I met this guy Ian on the app.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Okay, so he told us about what he thought was
a really successful date. He did mention that his dad
showed up, but said you were cool with it, but
nonetheless he was hoping to hear from you again, or
that you would respond to him and go on a
second date because he thought the first one went well.
But he thinks that you're ghosting. So are you ghosting him?
Speaker 3 (03:23):
I mean yeah, Like the date was fine, and like
we did run into his dad and like it like
running into his dad like wasn't an issue at all
until it like was an issue.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
Why was it an issue? What happened? Well, so, like at.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
One point, like Ian got up, like to go to
the bathroom, and like when he was gone, his dad
came over and like hit on me. Like it was
absolutely mortifying, Like I don't know, he was like grabbing
and touching my leg and telling me.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
How beautiful I was.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Oh damn, it was awful.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
Yeah yeah, yeah, Like he totally ruined everything, Like I
don't know how. It was just very uncomfortable And how
do you how do you tell a guy that you
literally just met on an app like, Hey, your dad's
a creep.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Yeah, your dad's a predator. He's a weird and by
the way, he's sea blocking his own son, right, so
where's the bro code'? Where's the bro code with my dad?
My own dad? Like, if I can't count on my
own dad not to scoop my girls, then I don't
even know what to do even who can I trust? Okay,
(04:29):
so wow, Ian, I've had to mention that Ian is here.
By the way, Nina, I'm sorry that also kind of
creepy but or weird. But Ian is here. Did you
know about this? Did you know that your father was?
I mean he was part of the day, which I
thought was very nice of Nina to sort of like
include him, considering you had just met and didn't plan
(04:49):
to meet him out. But now it turns out he's
hitting on her. I mean, I.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Don't know if he was hitting on her, Like, I
have a really hard time believing that. Like, it's a
very friendly guy. You know, he's he's happily married. Well,
he's happily married to my mom.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
So so you think I.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Don't think I don't think he would have done anything inappropriate.
I think he was just called being friendly.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
So Nina, he was just being friendly. I mean, I
think Nina probably knows the difference.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
I definitely know the difference. Your dad was not being friendly,
he was being very bold.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
Why don't you talk to your dad?
Speaker 3 (05:26):
You know?
Speaker 1 (05:27):
Well, I don't know you think his dad's going to
be like, oh, I was totally hitting on her and
tempting a cheat on your mom. Like I'm not sure
that he's going to say that, but maybe I don't know.
I guess we can try and well, no, he.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Won't say that because it probably didn't happen. He was
probably just being friendly. So yeah, let me touch him.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Oh yeah, why don't you Why don't you reach out
to him, because maybe we talked, let's suck to the dad.
Let's get the dad on here, right, I would love
to talk to let's suck to dad, because I'd like
to hear I mean, I do not think the dad
is going to come out and say I absolutely was
hitting on my son's date. But I mean, stranger things
have happened. I mean, I'd hate to crush your soul though,
Like what if we uncovered something here Ian that, like,
(06:03):
you know, things aren't all good back at home or
maybe your parents are swingers. Oh, maybe they swat. I mean,
you want to know all this.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Look I again, I I just don't really believe that
he grew to me. So yeah, I'm at let's get him.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Why don't you text him and see if we can
line him up here, uh, you know, for today or tomorrow,
and see if we can get him on the show
and we'll ask we'll ask him these questions and we
can all talk about it. How about that sounds.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
Great to me? And then you know, Nina, after that,
maybe you'll see that maybe you're just a little over
over a little bit.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Well, now there's the question, Nina, is I mean, you
liked Ian enough. Ian didn't necessarily know that his apparently
he didn't know at all that his dad was doing this.
Now he's denying that his dad could have done this.
I mean, but you liked Ian enough. So I mean,
if can we straighten this out? I mean, would you
consider another date with him? If if you're comfortable with
what his dad has to say? Or is it just
(06:55):
sort of like you don't you don't want any part
of it.
Speaker 3 (06:57):
I know, I mean, like even based on his reaction
right now, it's really hard to get between a boy
and his dad.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
You know, I mean that is that is that would
be very strange. It's a very simple question, Dad, Why
was your hand on her leg? And where was mom?
Speaker 2 (07:14):
Right?
Speaker 1 (07:16):
Is that my mom? Really?
Speaker 2 (07:17):
Like?
Speaker 1 (07:18):
Do you love mom?
Speaker 2 (07:19):
This is?
Speaker 1 (07:19):
This is weird? Alright, So know then, Nina, you're not
You're not going to be interested or it matters what
he has to say or.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
What I mean, I guess what he has to say.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Okay, all right, everyone, hang on a second. Let's set
this up and see we'll see what we can do
with this. Hang on a second, all right, everybody
