(00:46):
Welcome to the program.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
How are you? Hey? Good morning? I wasn't expecting it's
a program though, how well?
Speaker 2 (00:52):
Few Now, well, I mean this is what I say,
That's how I say it, So deal with it.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
I'm now, why are you going to Cody? Be nice?
Speaker 2 (01:01):
I'm helping you out right now. So anyway, you're on
the program, and uh, what's going on with this woman
with me? We got to know the whole backstory. How
did you meet? Tell us about any dates you've been
on and where things are now.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
Oh, actually, so it's pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (01:13):
We met in person, which is nice, Like.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
I I met a wild in the wild.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
Yeah, never happened, And I just feel like it's great
in the wild because there's you can kind of like
already know if there's chemistry. It's almost like half of
the first date, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah,
So I just got our number at a bar. I
was like, hey, let's you know, hang out later. Sure,
So we did just like the standard like hey, let's
grab a drink.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
Right.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
That was a few days later. It went pretty well.
We didn't want the night to end, so she was like, ah,
why don't we just hang out at my place. I'm like, oh, yeah, okay, sure,
why not?
Speaker 2 (01:48):
Right?
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Oh that was pretty good stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
And then I don't know something happened between then and
now that I don't know. I need help like figuring
it out, because.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
Okay, yeah, so you met in the wild, which you
pointed out. It is kind of like, that's an interesting
way of putting it. It's kind of like a half
a date, because I think when you meet people on
the dating apps or on the websites or whatever it is,
you know that's you don't really know what you're getting exactly,
or if there's chemistry or how they act or whatever.
So in this case, you were able to sort of
feel that out when you met in person, so you
(02:20):
knew there was chemistry because she gave you her number.
She could have said no, so you were already kind
of out to a head start. And then I would
say any date that you go on where you wind
up back at somebody's place and that kind of stuff
is going on, I would say, that's all a good sign.
So all of this good stuff happened, except you cannot
get a hold of Whitney since the date, and you want.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
To know why. Yes, you got it exactly.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Okay, Well, let's play one song. We'll come back in
a couple of minutes. We're gonna call Whitney. You'll be
on the phone. And the hope is that we can
get the story, we can figure out what's going on,
we can straighten everything out and then set you guys
up on a I guess would be a second formal
date and pay for it, all right.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
I would love that, Hey, Cody, Yes, all right, let's
call Whitney.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
You met at a bar, so you met out in
the wild, and you kind of felt the whole thing out,
got her phone number, set up a date, you went
on a date, drink stage, and wound it back at
her place. I guess all that stuff went well, but
you have not been able to get a hold of
her since the date, and you want.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
To know why? Yeah, definitely, all right, let's call her now?
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Good luck? Hi is this Whitney? Yeah, hey Whitney, good morning.
My name I'm getting there? Yeah, pushy and again I
called you, so maybe I should be. My name is Fred.
I'm calling from the Fred Show, the morning radio show,
(03:42):
and I have to tell you that we are on
the radio right now, and I would need your permission
to continue with the call.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
Can which have for just a second on the show?
Would you mind? Now you're on the radio? Is a
what's happening?
Speaker 2 (03:55):
No, it's not Jo, It's very real, But I just
need to say yes, and I can tell you why
I'm calling Okay, that's yes good. We're calling on behalf
of a guy named Cody. He says that you guys
met out in the wild at a bar and set
up a date recently went out.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Do you remember this guy? Yeah? Okay, Well, so what
happened with him?
Speaker 2 (04:15):
Because we just heard a whole thing about how he
met you out and felt like there was chemistry and
he felt like the date went well. And yeah, he
can't get a hold of you since the date s
bugging him. Feels like you're ghosting him. Sounds like maybe
you are. So what happened? What's your side of the story.
Speaker 5 (04:29):
Well, the story is that Cody seemed pretty great and
normal at first, even like he was nice, like he
was compassionate when we first met at the bar and
on our date even but the issues really came after
the date when we got back to my house.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Okay, so I introduced him.
Speaker 4 (04:47):
To my dog and he kept calling my dogs fat.
Speaker 5 (04:51):
Like first, he made one comment about my dog being
sick and then sick. He called your dog sick with
like extracise.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
I thought that was an adjective that was reserved for humans.
I didn't realize that we were objectifying dogs now but okay,
so he said your dog was thick.
Speaker 5 (05:13):
Yeah, I just kept going after that. He was like,
the dog's sick. Her name's Melinda, and he kept calling
her fat Linda, like giving me lessons on how unhealthy
Melinda is and like saying that like she's just.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
It was awful.
Speaker 5 (05:29):
She was probably my baby mind you.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
So yeah, everybody knows, right, this is like people treat
their animals like their their children, like they're they're part
of the family, right, and take a lot of pride
in it. And and so you don't go in. You
wouldn't call and I realize it's different. Don't don't at me,
but you wouldn't call anyone's child fat.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
I don't know why.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
We're just getting to know someone and we're telling this
beloved creature in their lives, uh, in their life, that
that that they're fat. I mean, it's like you're dissing
you're dissing the dog, and you're dissing the person.
Speaker 5 (05:59):
Downer the dog seriously, like she's not fat, she's just
big dog.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
Don't call my baby fat. Yeah, you had a nickname
fad Linda, name Melinda.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
That's right. I forgot to mention that Cody is here. Cody,
how would you feel if somebody called you fat?
Speaker 3 (06:17):
I would say, hey, great, you have eyes at work.
I would know I was fat if I was that sick.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Melinda is fat? You say you don't need to say that.
Maybe everybody knows me Linda's fat. Okay, but you don't
need to say it, and you don't need to say
it in the room.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Sounds like there was an elephant in the room, but
you didn't need to say it. You didn't need to
say it. Like you don't diss people's animal.
Speaker 4 (06:44):
Dog all right, you say you love the dog, that
dog's gonna die.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
That dogs die like that dog is not. Stop talking
like this. Why are you talking like this? Don't put
that out there. First of all, I love the dog.
Speaker 5 (06:57):
Don't think I don't love my dog is my child.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
This is why I last, is why I ghosted you.
Maybe she's working on it.
Speaker 4 (07:05):
Food, Then your dog loves you like you may pay.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
Talk down to a healthy weight if you love it.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Maybe Melnda's going to go zempeg or you know, maybe
maybe Melnda's working on it. Maybe we're exercising more, maybe
we change our diet. Maybe we didn't. Isn't that Whitney's business? Like,
I don't know why you come in hot insulting someone's animal, Like,
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
Why you do that.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
I'm not giving her news that she didn't know. And
I feel like I'm coming out of a place of compassion.
I'm like, listen, that dog's gonna die.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Like if you don't do to lose weight, Like, that's
not what I'm saying that.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
Man, you seem really insensitive because I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (07:44):
It because I do care about the dog. I'm like,
the dog is not going to live for a long time.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
I can't.
Speaker 5 (07:53):
You're not gonna sit here and say that my dog.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
I don't even want to. We're not putting this.
Speaker 5 (07:57):
Out in the universe anymore. I can't do this.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
You're that's not right.
Speaker 5 (08:01):
You're evil if you feel this way about dogs, like
that's awful.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
I love I love you. Who cares about the dog?
I'm going down here to lose Wayne?
Speaker 4 (08:10):
So the dog, okay, be like fifteen to.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
Sixteen, Kiki, what would you say if well, I don't
know how they would say this about Lucks.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
I mean, LUs.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
Oh lexis cute and Petite was still Yeah, Lucks is
so tired dog.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
I would stand beside my fine and fluffy dog. Thank you,
I stand beside me. You're right, how long you live?
That's right? Talking about my dog?
Speaker 2 (08:30):
Yeah, I mean we haven't seen you, Cody, but I
suppose we could probably take a look at you and
and and you know, make a few pointers.
Speaker 4 (08:36):
Hey, if I was that sick, I wouldn't be like
what how Yeah, I'd be like, yeah, that makes sense.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
You're right.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
I know that you don't have to point out everything
that you observe, Cody, especially when it comes to people's
animals or you know, things that they're proud of. If
you're trying to make a good impression, who's to say
that maybe over time, you know, you couldn't as you
maybe if you date her or something, you couldn't say, hey,
we should go on more walks or you know, I
don't know. I'm worried about this dog. Wait, I want
this dog to live forever. You're taking the other perspective.
(09:03):
It's the dog's gonna die like that's.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
Not no, it's a bulling ball, like that was a
sick dog.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
You're still going z this dude, Yeah, this is he
doesn't get it. He doesn't.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
It wasn't. It's not a considerate thing to do. It's
not appropriate, and even if you were concerned, it's not.
You didn't go about it in a in a kind
subtle way, which is what you got to do when
you're first making an impression with someone. So now i'll
ask the question. I know the answer, Whitney, would you
like to go out with Cody again? We'll pay for it. Yeah,
I didn't think so, all right, Cody, work on your
delivery man, work on you.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
Look again.
Speaker 4 (09:37):
I thought I was coming at it from a place
from love, but I mean it is what it is.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
I want that dog.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
You are healthy, but for now she's just like a sausage.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Well then be loving, man like be I don't know,
know you don't get it, Whitney. Thank you for your time.
I appreciate you. Cody, good luck to you as well.
