Hero and heel of the week and my hero. Really
it's again. This is one of those things where I
kind of cheat a little bit. I went with two guys.
I went JJ Spawn and Brad Marsham. Spawn had one
hundred and twenty to one odds to win the US Open.
He beat those odds, became the ninety second different player
to win the US Open Championship. Overcame five early bogies,

a forty on the front nine, won his first ever
major in Clinton with a sixty four and a half
foot birdie putt on eighteen, the longest made during the tournament.
During the week, he made one hundred and thirty seven
feet worth of putts in the final seven holes. Remarkable,
that is unbelievables. For that he was. He wondered if

he was cut out for the golf life. A year
ago stuck it out one second time in the PGA Tour.
I thought of Marsham because he made history Saturday night
by becoming the first player in Stanley Cup Finals history
to score five goals or more with two different teams
in two different Stanley Cup finals. He did it with

Boston in twenty eleven and he's done it with Florida.
So far has he been a big acquisition for the Panthers.
You'd better believe it. In twenty two playoff games right now,
he's got ten goals in tennisis I would argue he
has been the most Valuable player for Florida in the
playoffs and in the Stanley Cup finals. So he may

win that MVP when all is said and done, if
indeed Florida hoists the Cup for a second straight year.
So I was torn between the two. You may not
like Brad Marsham, but you would want him on your
team in the postseason. Of course, I'll give it to
Spawn and Marshan on this Monday.

Little self indulgent here, but Lindsay Hunter is my hero.
From the weekend, shep you've known him for decades now,
what an infectious spirit.

And over the weekend we were at the Beer and
Bratt Festival in Sparta, Michigan. Lindsay was playing Lightning, he
was playing three on three with the kids. He did
not turn down a sing go photo with fans, didn't
turn down a single autograph. He even got the He

and I couldn't tell you how many times people laughed

right to do that because of his position, but he
can be subject to the same criticism. The other is
a woman by the name of Neza. I don't know
if you know who that is, but she sang the
national anthem of the Dodgers game Saturday. She sang the
Spanish version El pandon estraato. Even though she was told

not to, she did it anyway and wore a Dominican
Republican T shirt Dominican Republic T shirt, explaining this was
in response to the ice presence in Los Angeles. There's
a time and a place for certain things to be done,
and that was not it. Not to mention the fact
the team specifically asked, don't do it. She did it anyway,

and she's a heel in my eyes. So I give
it to those two people.

Right, Brendous, look for Steve and I Smith first of all,
but quickly before we go to break, Atlanta Braves are
my heel from the weekend. Not a great team this season.
They're eight games under five hundred. You can have a
bad day here and there, of course, but the Colorado
Rockies are also got awful and we've talked about it
on this show many a time.
