Speaker 1 (00:00):
They are around the NFL podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
California has been good to me.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
Let's hope it don't fall into the sea.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Ah from the beautiful Vista Restaurant car from rgeous Formosa Beach, California.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
It's around the NFL.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
I'm Dan Hansis with heroes all over, Mark Sessler wearing
the jacket by the way, Greg Rosenthal, and the lovely
Colleen Wolf.

Speaker 5 (00:33):
Hey, everybody, it's the road show.

Speaker 6 (00:36):
I was so excited to see the jacket in person,
and it's even more glorious. And I know that you
don't like the attention on the jacket, but I stand
by my whole thing. As I said before, I think
I need one. I think John needs one. I think
everyone should be at one.

Speaker 7 (00:52):
I would just sad from a from a weather note
that it's it's overcast. It's a beautiful day by the sea,
but it's windy and overcast. So the jacket is an exoskeleton,
a layer of protection that I find attractive for myself.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
I think it's been a charmed life for that jacket,
because even now you would think, oh, we're doing the
show with the beach right behind us in the sun,
and it's June now that Mark might be suffering for
wearing LEVI.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
No, no, in fact, he needs it.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
It's it's tactical gear.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah, unbelievable.

Speaker 8 (01:22):
We're the ones that made the mistake here.

Speaker 9 (01:24):
Right If this goes on YouTube or social you know,
you can check out our background. Right now, two men
are playing paddleball. Love paddleball on the beach. Those are
extra very different than pickleball. The lifeguard operations of Hermosa
Beach right behind us. This is this is something.

Speaker 5 (01:41):
This is the for us. We like to do this show.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
We've done them in West Hollywood in the past with
our former producer Ricky Hollywood, the Pride Cast. I think
Erica in fact is going to be joining us or
be at the venue. And we already have some esteemed guests.
I just say Patrick Claybond, he just rolled through having
a beverage from the newsroom. Noted Jets fan told me

(02:06):
he didn't want Aaron Rodgers, but then came around on it.
He's here, Kevin Danger hands is my brother Gonzo John
Gonzalez rolling over here behind them, and there coming right
on time on cue, Jason Somewalt, the voice of God
for around the NFL.

Speaker 5 (02:22):
Greg gets all in front of us.

Speaker 9 (02:24):
It's very exciting. But you're the host. Does this give
you any anxiety that we have to work all these
people into the show and you're leading now that.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Kind of covered it, Okay, Yeah, I don't need some
reference them ever.

Speaker 7 (02:35):
Again, No, it's it's a cavalcade and you announced fully anyway.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
So Connie, here we are, and hopefully the sun comes
out as this goes well and warms us up a
little bit. But it's nice here to be by the sea,
to be together here in the off season before things
get wild and we're gonna talk some actual football. We're
gonna have a couple of people that live in the
area stop by as guests that you may know if

(03:00):
you're an NFL fan, And.

Speaker 8 (03:01):
This is nice, you know what, it's nice to hang
out with you guys.

Speaker 6 (03:04):
This is long overdue. There's a gaggle of guests that
will be coming through. I love it like it's a
and it's a Thursday too, it's a weekday.

Speaker 8 (03:11):
It's perfect.

Speaker 9 (03:13):
The Gentleman's Friday, I call off season Friday is what
we call it.

Speaker 7 (03:18):
I don't see a single gentleman among us.

Speaker 6 (03:20):
It feels like the retirement edition of atn like once
we retire, we just do the show at like local
restaurants outside whenever we want total.

Speaker 7 (03:30):
Point will be picked off by some sort of walker
by who was annoyed with our presence.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Now you made me feel it's a prediction.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
There is a boardwalk.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
There's kind of like a walking path with the many
seniors behind us.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Right, there's we need to be afraid of.

Speaker 7 (03:45):
I just think they might think those people are a
little showy?

Speaker 9 (03:47):
Was that a paid extra that I was gonna say
that there's actually an actress over that brick wall that
pops up every now and then that mark paid to
pretend to be a female assassin and will take them out.

Speaker 7 (04:00):
Just skateboarded by us casually with a dog going to
the same pace on a leash.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
I mean this is he's an extra as well at
a pocket personally the budget for the show anyway.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
So yes, we're gonna have some fun with some guests.
We're also going to hit on Greg's takeaways from projected
starters briefly.

Speaker 7 (04:17):
Briefly, very briefly, Yeah, I mean extensively, Greg, I wanted
to do briefly.

Speaker 9 (04:22):
I tried to get it. I tried to get it
in a two minute seg last show, and you were like,
we want more. You're like, if anything screams beach, it's
projected starters.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
It deserves it deserves more, just not too much.

Speaker 9 (04:34):
Okay, good?

Speaker 3 (04:35):
You know, if you wanted to give it four minutes,
I think we give it. What park seven eight six
and a half.

Speaker 9 (04:41):
Six eight articles at about two thousand words each, So
that's sixteen thousand words. I don't know the time, but
quite out.

Speaker 5 (04:49):
Can you talk a how the saucage gets me?

Speaker 2 (04:51):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
Can you explain to me, Greg, if you pumped out
sixteen thousand words for the series in the in the
end of May, okay, and then you're also on a podcast,
why would we dedicate four minutes to that.

Speaker 9 (05:06):
It's a fair point. I used to operate like, oh
the written words. Some things work better on podcasts, some
things are more fun. But you're right, we're out of ideas.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
All right, we're gonna get to that second, but first,
let's get quickly caught up on the news.

Speaker 10 (05:18):
If you.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Mark it is now June, heading into July and the
hardest summer. I know you've been heading to the gym
and you've been an active man looking in fact, looking right.
How do you feel about your beach body heading into
the south?

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Oh horrible?

Speaker 7 (05:36):
Like so much progress must be made and I have
no motivation to even begin.

Speaker 8 (05:41):
WHOA, I'm in the same boat as you.

Speaker 9 (05:43):
More importantly, though, how is your what is it called
parasocial relationship with Angel Calabresi? What was the lady's name
who ran beach body?

Speaker 7 (05:52):
I believe you mean the trainer named Autumn Calabrese, who
I do not. I have no relationship with her other
than I respect her.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
It's a facial Parasocial wasn't really known word when we
first learned about Autumn. Or that's exactly what Mark's relationship
with her, even though it felt so intimate when you
were first explaining.

Speaker 9 (06:09):
To you, I did not describe I gotta we gotta
follow up. Has that like gone up in like a
potty scheme, scandal or anything?

Speaker 2 (06:16):
She's in prison.

Speaker 7 (06:17):
I exited the almost scheme that is that is for sure.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
I don't know that to be fact. Autumn Calabriasi, do
not sue me.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Let's get into the news Mark, as a nod to
you and Big LEVI. Let's start with the niners forty
nine ers, Gentleman manager John Lynch said the team is
quote incredibly encouraged by brock Party's recovery from elbow surgery,
and he has this to say about the QB battle

(06:47):
going into camp.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
This is courtesy of Sirius XM NFL Radio.

Speaker 11 (06:52):
We still remained very high on Trey and we wanted
to bring in some more competition. We brought in Sam
and and Sam's really you know, taken to the coaching
and the structure that we can give him. So at
the end of the day, we feel really good about
that position. And yeah, I think I think Brock probably
is the leader in the clubhouse, as we said, but

(07:14):
we you know, it will be open for competition, and
it's those guys opportunity to go earn that job.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
That's crazy.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
So Trey Lance, even though he's barely played Colleen, still
a former number three overall pick who they moved heaven
and earth to obtain, and somehow, as we enter training
camp in twenty twenty three, the GM is on record
saying the leader in the clubhouse is the mister irrelevant
pick from the previous draft.

Speaker 4 (07:43):
If he's healthy, Brock Party.

Speaker 6 (07:44):
I can't imagine how John Lynch feels about this deep down.

Speaker 8 (07:49):
I'm sure like he sort of wins.

Speaker 6 (07:51):
Either way because Brock Party was such a gem that
they found and was such a surprise, and that's what
made it such a crazy story. But everything that they
had done, to everything they gave up to get Trey Lance,
and then the whole thing.

Speaker 8 (08:05):
With Jimmy G. How messy.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
That was.

Speaker 6 (08:07):
How he came out at the combine a couple of
years ago and was like, Jimmy G. We're asking, we're
taking calls on him, We're ready to go. Like, there
has been such an interesting turn of events with the
quarterback position, and now you have Brock Purdy, who I guess. Yeah,
they're gonna have this open competition quote unquote, but they're
in a good spot because now they have multiple quarterbacks.

(08:29):
We think that can play. But with Trey Lance, it's
just like you're still not sure what you really have.

Speaker 9 (08:33):
It's not surprising me that Sam Darnold's getting first team
reps and they're gonna take Sam Darnald very seriously. I
think the news here that he's already throwing. There was
this scenario where he was gonna miss a big chunk
of the season, and you never know with the offseason
injury reports, but at this point, the fact that he's
throwing and they're talking this optimistic. I think the feeling
is the forty nine ers think they will have Purdy
for the start of the season.

Speaker 7 (08:54):
I think they want Perdy to be the starter. I mean,
he is the lead guy right now. And I think
it's like there's stuck in that same world that we are.
And it kind of reflects what happened with Jimmy g
a couple of years ago when they first traded for him.
They had that incredible was it five or six great
game sample size where he looked like he had come
from the heavens and brock Purty did the same thing.

(09:14):
But it's like, is that who brock Party really is?
And it's like they did mention though, I mean, who
knows what if these guys are ever telling the truth,
But I do think they sort of don't care what
anyone else thinks. And they talk about the fact that
like Purdy was not just Shanahan coaching him up left
and right, that he operated in system out of system,
that they went back and looked at all his tape,
they felt extremely optimistic. So I think there's this hope

(09:36):
that like, yeah, maybe you went and moved heaven and Earth,
like you said Dan to get Guy A. But Lynch
still drafted Guy B. And I mean it's not necessarily
to his credit. Everyone in the league passed on forty
two thousand times, but you got him. And I think
that Purdy's this guy that like, if he can do
what he did last year, you stick with him.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
Yeah, And I think what Rock Party represents to John
Lynch is basically a life raft. I imagine if he
wasn't there and it was either this flash in the
pan potentially two hundred and sixtieth pick coming off elbow
surgery is healthy, or it's Sam Donald and then it's
like everybody's getting fired potentially. So it's like they have
a little bit of backup and Lance is there and

(10:16):
we'll see if he gets an opportunity.

Speaker 7 (10:17):
I'll Shanahan feel unfirerable.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
At this point he should be.

Speaker 9 (10:22):
I mean, look at look at what they've done in
the last couple of years, making the conference championship games.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
It's not you know, you don't look so hot, and
you know, I like Sam Donald, but like things could
be very grim if Perdy did not materialize out of the.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Mist last year.

Speaker 6 (10:36):
It's also impressive that party avoided Tommy John surgery and
is somehow maybe going to be available week one of.

Speaker 9 (10:44):
The regular I'm distracted though, by the fact that Gonzo
just waved to a man in a tank top walking
by with a handsome dog. Does he know? Did he
know this man? Does he just have friends?

Speaker 6 (10:53):
His name is Kyle, and it's Cynthia's friend. And that's
Cynthia's dog, Gordy.

Speaker 9 (10:58):
Wow, it's all very distracted because what a group of
gentlemen here. I just want to jump in there on
in this zonn Sandwich connective.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Tissue to our own network. Right, very nice who said
this podcast doesn't have sex appeal?

Speaker 5 (11:16):
Let's I like that.

Speaker 9 (11:20):
I like that.

Speaker 4 (11:21):
Keep that in.

Speaker 9 (11:22):
We're keeping that in a lot.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
There's a lot of chaos going on, and there is
like a it's interesting we're taping this on a patio,
like we said, outdoors with the beach right behind us.
But we have a growing cast of people that we,
let's be honest, like, we rather hang out with than
be talking to microphones.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
How long are we doing this for? I don't know.
Let's move on.

Speaker 8 (11:42):
Okay, what else do.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
Let's talk about Mac Joones friend.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
He's uh, he's working out and he's you know, preparing
for a new season with the Patriots and good news everybody.
He is happy with the progress with Bill O'Brien, the
new offensive coordinator.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
Here's what he had to say.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Yeah, it's been really good.

Speaker 5 (11:59):
It's been normal.

Speaker 10 (12:01):
I think everything he's done so far, it's been the communications.
The most important part in trust. I think it all
starts with that. When you're with a new coach and
he's done a great job and controlling the room, I
feel like everyone's on the same page. Just got to
continue to do it. It's it's a marathon, not a sprint,
so we know that, and.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
It is that is amazing that the quarterback of the Patriots,
you talk about subtweeting and like you know, read between
the lines and you know.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
Just trying to figure out what he's really saying. Oh yeah,
the new offense score. It's normal now.

Speaker 9 (12:34):
And he's been doing that. It kind of makes me
like Mac Jones more, who's a little milk toast, But
I don't at some point last year he decided screw it,
I'm just gonna less.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
Cynthia's dog we are trying to do a podcast is
way more shut it down.

Speaker 9 (12:51):
I like that back Jones at some point decided like
I don't care anywhere. I'm just gonna let Bill BELLI
I'm gonna publicly let people know I'm frustrated, even though
Bill Belichick is my coach and he's still subtweeting. But
it does remind me of a time back in December
of twenty twenty one when I was like, man, Max
Jones might win Rookie of the Year and he ended
up coming in second place from Rookie of the Year,

(13:12):
and I'm like, hey, he looked like a pretty decent
rookie quarterback. And if we're willing to throw out that
non normal, abnormal year last year, actually there's some idea.

Speaker 5 (13:21):
You're to as him of twenty twenty two.

Speaker 9 (13:23):
You're throwing out a lot of it, and I think
there's a chance he could be much better that I
think it's fure reminded.

Speaker 7 (13:28):
I think it's fair to, if not throw it out,
just be like, let's shelve it. And Mac Jones, who
we saw from two years ago was well coached last year,
was like, I get normal because it kind of reminds
you of like the Nightmare on Elm Street films, where
like youths are trapped in terrible dreams and it's like
destroying their lives and suddenly that stopped and they just
went back to having normal ninth or tenth grade years

(13:50):
in high school.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
That would be nice.

Speaker 7 (13:51):
So that's sort of like mac Jones is going back
to just let's get back to normality.

Speaker 9 (13:55):
But then there's Nightmare on Elm Street two to three.

Speaker 6 (13:58):
Probably this season for him reminds me of Trevor Lawrence Light.
That's like a situation that mac Jones has gone through.
Considering he started by saying it's normal, so like he's
getting back to some type of normal situation.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
Just for context again, you're saying it's kind of like
Trevor Lawrence Light. That was Urban Meyer, who was like
an Atomics show and Bilik's team.

Speaker 5 (14:24):
Right crazy.

Speaker 6 (14:25):
Wait, Also, mac Jones said that Bill O'Brien is like
a walking dictionary, which I feel like we should put
out there.

Speaker 9 (14:33):
It's all a subtweet and it's all like perspective when
Bill O'Brien seems normal, like that's a that's a problem,
Like I'm excited for Bill O'Brien, the coach, but Bill
O'Brien was kind of a hot mess and not normal
at all as an executive.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
Finally in the news, and this is connected to the Patriots,
because it always will be connected to the Patriots. Tom Brady,
who is now in the process, I don't know if
it's done yet, but he's agreed to join the Raiders
ownership group. And we know that Jimmy Garoppolo drama going
on right now with his foot surgery and the recovery there,
and Brady and Josh McDaniels the connection they are going

(15:07):
back could he ever play again? And he's doing the
media rounds, and he was on a program connected to
Sports Illustrated and he had this to say, I am
certain I am not playing again. So I've tried to
make that clear, and I hate to continue to profess
that because I've already told people that lots of times.
And he went on to say about his ownership stake,

(15:31):
I want to be involved with the NFL for the
next forty five years of my life if I last
that long, all right, And.

Speaker 8 (15:37):
That's all forty five. He put a very specific number
on it.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
He wants to live until one hundred, so he's gonna
I think he wants to play till he's forty five,
own a team till he's ninety, put out a good
ten to twenty years. He might want to live to
one ten and then croak.

Speaker 8 (15:56):
I think he could. I think he could definitely do it.

Speaker 5 (15:58):
He wants to live till one ten.

Speaker 9 (16:00):
There's a decent amount of people, and by deethon, I
mean like more than twenty that are over one hundred
and fifteen years old right now and alive in the world.
And if anyone's gonna do.

Speaker 8 (16:09):
It, Greg has a Google doc.

Speaker 9 (16:11):
It's my guy, the Pharaoh, Tom Brady Pharaoh.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
Let's not jinxum though. That's you're putting a lot on
the man.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
But I just want to say, now that Mark, we've
read this line, he's saying it again, I'm not playing.
I think it is time at least for our podcast
to wheel out the wooden catapult from medieval times that
we somehow were stored and.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
Fire this into the sun.

Speaker 7 (16:35):
This whole storyline there, it goes right into the orb.

Speaker 12 (16:39):
Wow.

Speaker 8 (16:41):
Okay to this, look at that trail.

Speaker 7 (16:44):
And along with that, when I read this, this this
these quotes where I was before was on this place
that I thought that Tom Brady and his announcing career
was fictitious, that it would never occur, that it just
was this figment, this thing hanging in the atmosphere is
sort of a joke on us. But I doubt I
think actually that I've tabled that, I think he's actually

(17:05):
going to go through with that.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
He's not going to play again.

Speaker 7 (17:08):
I think he's probably at this point annoyed and obviously
having to answer this question over and over and I'm
done asking it personally.

Speaker 8 (17:19):
That's why people are asking.

Speaker 9 (17:20):
Into the sun in the sun.

Speaker 10 (17:22):
Ye.

Speaker 9 (17:23):
And to your point, he did mention he was looking
forward to broadcasting on Fox next year in the interviews.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
We're out of his way to say that even that conversation.
We will now fire into the sun, just to be safe.
There it is. Now, it's done.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
All right, take a break, take a break, we wait
for the sun to come out, and when we get back,
we'll touch on Greg's projected starters.

Speaker 5 (17:51):
All right, here we are.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
Oh, another esteem guest has just rolled. Baby, can you
even believe it? It's Ricky Hollywood, the legend Erica temposh jacket. Wow,
she does, Greg, She carries herself with a certain confidence
that you can't make it up.

Speaker 9 (18:11):
She cleans up. It's like, you know, she's got the
very business like jacket on, so you think it's all business,
but then they're ripped jeans and now she's gonna have
fun too.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
There's only one Erica.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
Would you mind Erica jumping in for one moment? Just
ask her a couple of questions about where she is
in life.

Speaker 9 (18:25):
She just rolled right in.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
The starters.

Speaker 13 (18:31):
It's my Colleen, Thank you, thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
Hi guys, Hi Erica?

Speaker 13 (18:37):
Are you guys?

Speaker 5 (18:38):
How's life with the Rams?

Speaker 9 (18:39):
It's good?

Speaker 13 (18:39):
So this is the best Seahawks roster since twenty twenty.

Speaker 9 (18:43):
WHOA should be raised?

Speaker 5 (18:46):
Don't steal her words?

Speaker 14 (18:47):
You're yeah, I don't necessarily agree with that, you know,
NFC west Oh standings here. But hey, how are you guys?

Speaker 9 (18:54):
It's so good to see you.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
Yeah, thank you for coming through here to Hermosa Beach,
wonderful vista stuff.

Speaker 4 (19:00):
Where do you guys go?

Speaker 2 (19:01):
I think it's your choice choice? Nice?

Speaker 5 (19:05):
Yeah, we the Rams have come up a lot.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
Ricky, Uh, I've talked too much.

Speaker 5 (19:09):
We're trying to figure out like what they are.

Speaker 13 (19:11):
I haven't heard.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
Are they tracking what we? What we?

Speaker 13 (19:14):
There are people, there are people that track. There are
people that I like.

Speaker 9 (19:16):
That quickly point out like I wouldn't actually listen. I
wouldn't know.

Speaker 13 (19:19):
But yeah, no, I no, I can't.

Speaker 4 (19:26):
That's great.

Speaker 13 (19:27):
I'm not gonna lie to you guys.

Speaker 5 (19:28):
So what are you What do you got going on
in the summer? Summer of Ricky?

Speaker 14 (19:31):
Yeah, summer Ricky Hollywood's gonna be a big one. I think, Yeah,
I'm ready for it.

Speaker 9 (19:36):
I don't know.

Speaker 13 (19:36):
Pride starts today.

Speaker 9 (19:38):
Well, what do you think this is? This is your
third annual pridecast here?

Speaker 14 (19:41):
Yeah, no, I think it's I think it's super good
thing I showed up. Would have been the straightest pridecast.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
Of all time. We discussed that.

Speaker 7 (19:50):
I'm glad.

Speaker 14 (19:51):
Yeah, no, I think it's a good thing that I
that I showed up. But yeah, that's that's good. Are
you guys talking about like what you're gay for or
anything like that?

Speaker 9 (19:58):
Now that that was the one time segment, it didn't
really work.

Speaker 7 (20:01):
We're doing Greg's projected starters.

Speaker 2 (20:03):
We've kind of we're just.

Speaker 9 (20:05):
We're having guests come in it is it kind of
is all right?

Speaker 4 (20:09):
Ricky?

Speaker 5 (20:10):
Well, are we gonna hang out together after we finishes.

Speaker 13 (20:12):
I mean, I hope, so I just drove an hour,
all right, good, all.

Speaker 3 (20:14):
Right, Ricky, Hollywood, Colleen, you gotta come back, you guys. Actually, Connie,
stay there a second, I see, can you come over
here a second? But we got we got.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
To ask him about the Cardinals. Hey, how are you
all right here?

Speaker 7 (20:27):
The Voice of God actually never discussed Greg.

Speaker 9 (20:31):
I think that would be a funnier show, a better
version of the show.

Speaker 4 (20:36):
Oh wow, my forever friend, Jason, what's up, Bud?

Speaker 5 (20:41):
Thank you for coming out?

Speaker 1 (20:42):
Hey, thanks for having me.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
We know you're not long for California? Is that why
you you trecked all this way from your your home?
Are You're just soaking in? It's the last time I'm
going to see the Pacific Ocean. Really, this is I'm
ending it tonight. And I wanted you guys to know
you're gonna do the swim into the ocean move, which
is always kind of cool.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
I mean, if I was I can't walk anymore, if I.

Speaker 9 (21:04):
Was gonna walk into the ocean and just let the
sea take me away, the hat I would wear would
be a completely black Arizona Cardinals at so I think
you're well dressed for it.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
It's fourday morning as a fan base.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
That's before we were trying to just wrap over the
show so we.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
Could all hang out.

Speaker 3 (21:22):
But we want to talk about what does it feel
like as boots on the ground Arizona Cardinals fan entering
this season?

Speaker 5 (21:29):
Like where what are expectations for you?

Speaker 2 (21:31):
Like? What do you want out of this season?

Speaker 15 (21:33):
I just I think there's there's a word. It's a violence,
you know what I mean? Because I don't think we're
gonna win. I don't think we're gonna We're not even
gonna sniff like the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (21:43):
I just want to hurt people.

Speaker 15 (21:44):
I just want people to feel the way I feel
inside on the outside.

Speaker 9 (21:49):
So like injuries or just losing to the Cardinals.

Speaker 4 (21:52):
Make not any broken bones.

Speaker 15 (21:54):
But I just, you know, everyone, I want to see
Paris Johnson put somebody into the deck. All right, you're
violence and I'm a happy man.

Speaker 7 (22:02):
Where are you on the Monty as vibe?

Speaker 15 (22:06):
Probably it's just north of the the other Monty who
was who used to be the Phoenix Suns coach.

Speaker 4 (22:13):
Like I don't know about how I feel about either
move right now, but we'll see.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
Yeah, I mean do you want a two and fifteenth season?

Speaker 15 (22:24):
Okay, if we're tanking that bad and they don't let
Kyler play, and if that's the move, and if we're
gonna go and try to replace him, if that's really
the move, I think I have to embrace it. But
there's a sight of me as like an actual fan
of the game. I don't want to see that, you
know what I mean? And I like Kyler. I think

(22:45):
he's fantastic to watch when he's allowed to be as
dynamic as possible when the when the line is strong.
So do I want to see a power a power
game with him at the helm?

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Yes? I do.

Speaker 15 (22:58):
Am I positive that a guy of his stature can
be the key figure in the power game? I'm not sure.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
I'm not sure that you want him back when he's healthy.

Speaker 4 (23:11):
Okay, Yeah, I don't know if you're gonna get that either.

Speaker 9 (23:14):
You've taken the job as the voice of the Around
the NFL podcast and you've run with it. You've helped the.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
Show show, tried to steady.

Speaker 9 (23:22):
You really carried the live show in a meaning wonder way.
It is great to see you before you leave for
the East, Gust.

Speaker 15 (23:28):
That's good to see you too, man, try to get
him back already.

Speaker 7 (23:34):
One little favorite, Like the first time I ever met
you was with Dan at the Cozy and like we
had talked. We were talking to like some side projects
that we could together some yeah, back to debate club days.
I believe it was things we could add to the
debig club. And you had you had a little you
had a little segment that you did called Walking with Giants.
Could you could you just give us Christopher walking the
Giants fan huge Eli Manning fan, Like, could you give

(23:55):
us just maybe a couple of seconds of what how
that would have gone had we ever aired it?

Speaker 1 (24:01):
Chris walking here, Walking with Giants, Eli Manning twenty twenty three,
greatest Quarterback and the nfowl were like an if L
he was still playing.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
I don't know, that's it. It's trying to end it, Jason,
everybody all right?

Speaker 5 (24:22):
Really, I knew, Hey, honnye.

Speaker 7 (24:27):
It's going to be harder and harder to get Colleen
back into it, into the.

Speaker 9 (24:31):
I want to get everyone here, just Mick, get him
in the mix.

Speaker 6 (24:35):
Too much longer, we're gonna look yeah, yeah, no sense
going straight into the ocean.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
That's a second straight into the ocean.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
What moment in the last like three minutes, Why is
everyone thinking about that?

Speaker 8 (24:47):
Because it's right there?

Speaker 4 (24:47):
All right, Greg, projected Starter.

Speaker 9 (24:49):
So we really are going to do this? I thought
it would be fun because we got Clayban, Kimmy Checks
has shown up from the FATI. I was just talking happening.

Speaker 8 (24:58):
It's fine, this is a good group. Or people get coming.
I'm very distracted.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
Why don't we We'll do We'll just do a little
bit here un projected Starters.

Speaker 4 (25:05):
Okay, what do we say six and a half?

Speaker 7 (25:07):
I mean yeah, it's like three and a half, four
and a half.

Speaker 5 (25:10):
All right, three ty three?

Speaker 7 (25:12):
We were gonna do two. Now we're doing three. So
you are get the expanded edition?

Speaker 2 (25:15):
Right?

Speaker 5 (25:15):
What is who do you sneaky love?

Speaker 9 (25:17):
After doing Projected Stars Dolphins? I don't know if that's
really I feel like they're like a top five roster,
top five coaching.

Speaker 7 (25:25):
You you called them like essentially across the board, ready
to essentially morph into a Super Bowl contendent.

Speaker 9 (25:32):
With that question, I feel like it if two is healthy,
I don't see what any reason. The offensive line maybe
isn't like amazing, but there's pretty good continuity. But I
like backup starters everywhere, Dolphins, and then the Bengals, which
is it's obvious enough, but the Bengals continuity, like, yes,
we know the offense, but the defense is set up
in a way that I really think they couldn't remind
you of the early aughts Patriots, where they can change

(25:54):
what they do on a week to week basis because
they have so many guys who can do so many
different things and have been in the system for so
long that they can do so many different things, and
then a coaching staff can actually do that.

Speaker 6 (26:05):
Sorry, a bug just like flew into my mouth. I
feel like I'm really high.

Speaker 8 (26:11):
Who's a fraud? That's what I want to know.

Speaker 6 (26:13):
Who's like, you're just not buying and everybody is into them.

Speaker 9 (26:17):
I feel like the Jaguars are just rolling back the
exact same team, which I understand because they made the
Divisional playoffs, Like they spent all that money two years ago,
and you can't spend all the money two years in
a row. But the defense, defensive rosters like not that good.
I don't know, I'm not that in love with the
Jaguars maybe doing it all again. They were kind of

(26:37):
a mediocre team that had a couple of things go
well for them. They're in a bad division, and like
they could still be stuck in that mediacuc So if you're.

Speaker 7 (26:45):
If you want to if you took a couple of
months off to go actually pursue other activities in your
life and you want to plug back into where teams are, I.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
Would read this. It's it's eight divisions, and.

Speaker 7 (26:54):
It's a bit of a project to read all of them,
but it is educational. Well, no, it takes time, but
like maybe you do one two every day, but like
you will learn a lot.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
And I came away.

Speaker 7 (27:05):
Commanders who we always essentially just rip on left and right,
and we know that the ownership has been apocalyptic mess
for ages. But you talked about their roster as being
one of the more complete rosters in football.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
Obviously the quarterback is the situation.

Speaker 7 (27:18):
But outside of that, like they look like as about
as solid as any team around.

Speaker 9 (27:23):
They look like a very normal team where there's not
like any weaknesses, Like they have decent players at every
single position. They make sense to me. I feel like
I take less away from like which team looks good?
Which team looks at more situations, like your eagle is
a couple of situations popped in my mind where I
think everyone thinks Rashad Penny, DeAndre Swift, like those are

(27:43):
the guys in fantasy for instance, and like Kenny Genwell
has been there. He got a ton of carries in
the Super Bowl. He wouldn't surprise me if he out
touches both of those guys, and he's been there. They
drafted a guy, Sidney Brown at safety who didn't get
a lot of attention, and it wouldn't surprise me if
he ends up playing more than Nolan Carter and Nolan
Smith and Jalen Carter their first round picks this year

(28:04):
because the opportunity is there and they love him. They're
kind of talking about him as the next I don't
know who fannga type guy.

Speaker 6 (28:09):
I noticed that in What was It Your Panthers? Right
up about the running backs, how you wouldn't be surprised
if Miles Sanders didn't really get a ton of run
in the starting spot.

Speaker 9 (28:21):
I think he would be the starter, but I wouldn't.
They're one of those teams there's different spots where it's
like we're going to add to the mix in August.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
What South in general is what is their team. You
always seem to kind of ride the Saints and assume
the best from them. Are you coming high on the
Saints a show?

Speaker 9 (28:39):
I'm not, and I'm surprised a lot of people. Are
The Falcons struck me doing this that like they're really
gonna roll there with Mac Collins as their number two
receiver and like no one has, they are built like
a nineteen eighties team. Mark always wants nineteen eighties football,
like they are nineteen eighties.

Speaker 7 (28:55):
You talked about them kind of being shotguns out of
nineteen eighty five, and I totally agree. I don't think
there there's a team that reading through all these that
you seemed higher on, and tell me if I'm wrong.
I know there's a lot of trust in the Chiefs,
but the Cincinnati Bengals seem to be the team that
just stood.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Out to you.

Speaker 9 (29:10):
They are and they lost some players too, like p
Ryan stuck out to me as a guy who might
be starting for the Broncos over Javonte Williams and getting
all the run. But yes, I feel like the Bengals
are set up. It's not about like the window closing,
because I think they will be around, but they feel
a little bit like my Boston Celtics were this year
that like everything was set up for them to do it.

(29:32):
It doesn't mean that you are going to do it,
but this is their year to do it, and maybe
the expectations and just running it back over and over
to get to them, and they choke like my boss.

Speaker 6 (29:42):
I also pointed out or I took this out of
your NFC West column, that you like the Seattle roster
better than any team in the NFC North and NFC South.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
Right.

Speaker 6 (29:55):
I know I shouldn't be surprised because Gino, but still
you're pretty high on them.

Speaker 9 (29:59):
There's like it's it sucks when you get stuck in
a in a division, like any team should want to
be one. To be in the NFC North or NFC
South right now or a FC South, you'd probably win it.
That's that might be the third best roster in the NFC. Seattle, Philly,
Dallas would be my top two and then maybe Seattle,
maybe San Francisco like they have stars, but uh, they're

(30:22):
pretty short at offensive line, cornerback. I'm feeling too dorky.
This is not a beach projected starter thing.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
I think it's informative. I think it's a nice little
uh on the this is our beach read.

Speaker 5 (30:34):
Yeah, it's our beach read.

Speaker 9 (30:35):
It's a very weird Ravens team. I'm throwing another one
in there. Like they have no pass rush. Like they
have They're not very imposing on the defensive line at all,
but they're deep at receiver. It's like the opposite of
the Ravens. You feel better, I am.

Speaker 7 (30:52):
That's I'm a beach guy.

Speaker 9 (30:55):
I mean you don't. You don't look at me and
you think beach guy. But pure hours on the beach.
I think I'm clocking all you guys, maybe by a
good distance. In my Los Angeles went to the beach.
I'm a solid once or twice a week beach guy.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
What are you doing on the beach though?

Speaker 5 (31:12):
That matters too.

Speaker 9 (31:13):
It's a lot of playing football with Walker. He just
wants to like kind of run around. It's a lot
of walking. It's a lot of sitting, a lot of
walking with Walker, a lot of walking, a lot of football,
a lot of football.

Speaker 3 (31:23):
So you never can get too far from ball though.
See that even on the beach, you ever go into
the sea, float here and there, but it's cold.

Speaker 9 (31:32):
Pacific's gold Man that's what they don't tell you about
moving out here. Atlantic Ocean kind of warm, I mean,
at least warm enof the Atlantic, ISI cold arrow down
on Pacific.

Speaker 3 (31:44):
You're just telling you anything else from the projected starter's
mark that jumped out to you.

Speaker 7 (31:49):
I would say this, it's an over arching sort of
bird's eye. But in the run of the show, the
AFC North has always featured typically two trash bag operations
that are just floundering, And this is the best AFC
North we've ever covered by far. Every one of them
is a playoff contender. I just wonder if they'll all
eat each other up.

Speaker 9 (32:08):
I agree it's something will go wrong for one of them,
but I think like they could be four of the
top twelve teams in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
I think the East End and the North are similar
like that, and of course and then you have in
the West the Mighty Chiefs are there and it's it's
going to be very interesting in the AFC the NFC.
It feels like when you're doing this that I feel
like this that in general everyone's under the impression that's
just a wide open conference with not a lot of superpowers.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
Is that come through again? When you do that.

Speaker 9 (32:34):
I feel like the Eagles and the Cowboys are pretty awesome.
I mean, the Cowboys need their first two picks to
hit in a way that most teams don't. Mazzie Smith
starting probably what is it, schoon mocker, They're tight end
they could use to start. But other than that, like
the Cowboys are pretty loaded and the Eagles are the
most loaded. I mean, the Eagles are still to make.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
Everyone's going to pick the Eagles, and I know that
could be an issue, Connie, I don't like that, but
I feel like that's where this is gonna come, uh
early September August when picks are coming in, because the
Niners people will be scared of the Niners, the quarterback situation.
The Cowboys people will be scared of the Cowboys because
to the Cowboys and things never get where they need
to be. So it's gonna be heavy heavy Eagles talk.

Speaker 2 (33:14):
Going into Week one.

Speaker 7 (33:16):
I don't love that, how how top heavy the NFC
is and not very just like a couple with them.

Speaker 9 (33:23):
I picked them to win the Super Bowl last year.
I think I'm just gonna stick with them. I wonder
if everyone will not pick the Lions because it's like
you are around it so much that people will try
to be cool and make the counterpick. But I'm sticking
with the Lions. They're kind of eagles. Like the Lions
with like all their linemen, like eight linemen. You can

(33:43):
roll in and out.

Speaker 2 (33:44):
I see it.

Speaker 7 (33:45):
By the way, I see Andrew Cilliano just coming down
the bar.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
It's all happening. I think he's rolling right behind towards us.

Speaker 9 (33:51):
I think we need to get more people.

Speaker 5 (33:53):
In both yeag, just relax for Christ's sake.

Speaker 8 (33:57):
Relax, one driver per car.

Speaker 4 (34:02):
All right?

Speaker 3 (34:02):
Here he is Andrew so sillyano of NFL Network and beyond.

Speaker 4 (34:08):
What's up, Bud? Welcome, see you boys. Welcome to my neighborhood.
This is your hood.

Speaker 16 (34:11):
Yeah, I'm glad you guys came down here. Welcome to
a cloudy day June gloom. Don't we pay enough taxes
for more sun day on the beach.

Speaker 9 (34:20):
I think of you just as a suit and tie man,
you know, but I like you in this.

Speaker 4 (34:25):
Thank you beach.

Speaker 3 (34:27):
Hey, you guys all, I don't see you as a
suit and tie guy.

Speaker 9 (34:32):
That's literally how I see him when I see him
right across from us.

Speaker 7 (34:35):
Do you think Reggie would be a little strange. Had
he showed up here in a suit and tie?

Speaker 9 (34:38):
No, I like it. I like it. You live right
near here, I do.

Speaker 4 (34:41):
I walked here and this uh.

Speaker 16 (34:43):
I was walking down here, and I realized because I
grabbed the Aviator Nation sweatshirt on the way out, I
don't get it free on the way out the door.
And I realized, there could This is the most South
Bay uniform ever. I have you already sweatpants on and
an Aviator Nation. It's like I'm a cliche. It's pathetic.

Speaker 9 (34:58):
I love it. I love it. I love being a
beach guy.

Speaker 3 (35:01):
And this is like you do your your running around
this area like this is your this is your world.

Speaker 16 (35:05):
So we're we're on the strand right here in Hermosa
and there's the Hermosa peer right there and the hands
about a you know, a mile point one point three
miles up. And I generally listened to your podcast. Matter
of fact, I did this morning breaking down DeAndre Hopkins
and and other things and fly on the wall stuff
while running this strip right here at one point seven

(35:26):
five speed. So right now, that's right now, your voice
is in my head. I don't have to do today.
I wanted to power through the podcast before it came on.
Your voices in my head sound like you are hammered
and you are slurring your words.

Speaker 3 (35:41):
Yeah that I I could ride with somebody saying they
do one point you know, actually.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
You know what?

Speaker 4 (35:45):
It was?

Speaker 2 (35:45):
One two five?

Speaker 5 (35:46):
It was on seven five is borderline offensive?

Speaker 4 (35:49):
It was one five, not one seven.

Speaker 9 (35:50):
I can't imagine how annoying my voice sounds in one
point seven five. It's tough enough, how is it? In reality?

Speaker 4 (35:58):
I think you guys sound great?

Speaker 3 (36:02):
Are you on board with speaking of our last episode,
are you on board with temporarily the general manager of
Denver Broncos now going by the name Kevin Saunders, just
to eliminate any uh you know, confusion between the head
shirts and the.

Speaker 4 (36:14):
Gym, I mean the patent Peyton Peyton Patten.

Speaker 3 (36:18):
Going maybe on the network NFL Plus side, is that
something we could do?

Speaker 16 (36:21):
We are back for mini camp shows next week on
the Plus. We're actually doing them. I just found out yesterday.
I don't think this is a trade secret from your podcast.

Speaker 9 (36:32):
Chris Westling podcast, do it? We were tall? We are
taping around that and what interesting we weren't on those
days anyway, So it all worked out.

Speaker 16 (36:40):
So I'm speaking of what we're wearing. I think we
might go Plus Golf shirts next week.

Speaker 2 (36:46):
You can't suit in the Chris Westing don't.

Speaker 16 (36:49):
I don't know if that's been cleared up the food
chain they don't.

Speaker 4 (36:53):
I don't know.

Speaker 9 (36:53):
I've never seen the Plus Golf shirt. I do.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
I don't know.

Speaker 10 (36:55):
There.

Speaker 16 (36:57):
I'll say this, the Plus hoodie might be the most
comfortable swag they've given us in a long time. Did
you guys get one in the locker rooms?

Speaker 4 (37:04):
You know?

Speaker 13 (37:05):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (37:05):
Well this is awkward. No, we got nothing at all.
Answer No, I don't know. I think I think that
it's it's a company.

Speaker 3 (37:12):
Yeah, well, you're a man that famously is watching all
the action every Sunday, and so you're on top of this.
What is the team or division that you're most amped
to be uh checking in for regular updates?

Speaker 4 (37:25):
I do think it's it's the low hanging fruit here.

Speaker 16 (37:28):
But the AFC East obviously with Rogers there and and
the Bills reaking of desperation and like Thatking of despot
to uh to a injury and fifth year option conundrum
and what happens if Tua gets hurt? Would Tom Brady
sell his shares in the Raiders to go to the Dolphins.

Speaker 4 (37:46):
I mean, I'm making this up now.

Speaker 16 (37:48):
But they already gave up They already gave up the
first round pick. Why don't they just go sign him?
They already paid for him, right, Well, I'm just making
it would be tough to sell.

Speaker 9 (37:59):
Our fan producer sitting in here, Eric is shaking his
seat at You're saying they're desperate. You don't think, Well,
they didn't act like a desperate team. They didn't do
that much this offseason relatively. I actually like certain things
about their team. I like their backfield a lot, the
way it all mixes together. Four guys who are all good,
pretty good. But they didn't do that much.

Speaker 3 (38:18):
Here's the thing, and let me ask you this, Andrew,
there's a difference between urgency and desperation.

Speaker 4 (38:23):
You think it's crossed.

Speaker 5 (38:25):
They've crossed the rubicon and entering twenty twenty three.

Speaker 16 (38:28):
It's a fair point. And I am prone to hyperbole,
but look at it this way. If if they don't
make it there this year, I mean, they bowed out
in pretty awful fashion. You were emotionally exhausted. I understand
how and why they lost to the Bengals, but it
leaves a bitter taste. John McDermott takes over the defense,

(38:49):
so there's now even more on his shoulders. You guys
know this. There is nothing worse than the sports radio
cliche who has the most pressure? God there Like, there's
no worse topic bar on television than who has more pressure?

Speaker 2 (39:08):
Just shut up?

Speaker 16 (39:08):
Everyone has pressure, Like anybody can get fired at stop
moment when you lose, right, That's how this business works.
But if the Bills don't make it to the Promised
Land yet again, this year, another year older for Josh Allen,
another year closer to retirement, and it's hard to come
back from an injury at that age. For Von Miller,

(39:29):
do we face another off season of vague Stefan digs
discontent on Twitter? Something has to change there. So yeah,
I do think there is a sense of desperation in Buffalo.

Speaker 9 (39:44):
Yeah, I agree with Von. You might not be back
to like week five or six, by the way he
threw that out there.

Speaker 3 (39:48):
Yeah, and yeah, Diggs is a mere curial guy and
they've been knocking on the door for so many years now.
You do get the feeling that Orchard Park could go
up in flames. If this is a disappointment.

Speaker 7 (39:59):
I got to ask you because we just talked about
the AFC North too, where like it suddenly feels like
you've got, for the first time in a long time,
not one or two of those teams that are not vile,
but four potential playoff teams. And you're a Browns fan.
We've always connected on that. I see Andrew in the
office all this pass publics with that.

Speaker 9 (40:16):
Are Browns fans now like coming out of hiding after
the misery, I can jump.

Speaker 16 (40:21):
I don't think there were that many that actually that
actually went away.

Speaker 4 (40:24):
I know some did well, and I respect them. That's
why I think.

Speaker 7 (40:27):
It's I think they put the fans in a tough spot.

Speaker 4 (40:29):
They did. I totally agree with you. I want are
you ever going to come back?

Speaker 7 (40:33):
I like, I know, I get a lot of tweets
saying that because I'm kind of coaxed into well, you're
a fan against Like, I really haven't changed my stance.

Speaker 2 (40:41):
I can.

Speaker 7 (40:41):
I'm interested in the team in general, just because I
think at this point I'm gonna ask you this, it's
think a lot of people are sleeping on them because
of what's happened to them and it's it's tougher to
discuss them. You're not wanting to project them the same
way you fascinate over other squads, necessarily, but the Browns seem.

Speaker 2 (40:58):
Pretty complete all over the or.

Speaker 7 (41:00):
Do you think that they are legitimate division winning candidate?

Speaker 16 (41:03):
I do, But it's also an amazingly tough division. And
I do think the Steelers will be better. I think
the offensive line will be better. And I think Pickett
remains to be seen how much better he will be
in year two, but you know he I assume he
will be better. I think with the Browns there's gonna
be a Jim Schwartz honeymoon in which the defense plays
with its hair on fire and and it creates more sacks,

(41:24):
more turnovers and plays better. I still think they are
in need of help on the defensive lines, and Arias
Smith helps a lot. If he stays healthy, he's going
to be hungry and contract motivated. I still think there's
an issue even with Dalvin Tomlinson a defensive tackle, particularly
with depth so the front seven, even with Miles Garrett,
it's amazing to say. I think it's a bit of

(41:44):
an issue linebacker guys. Everyone's coming off of injury. Everybody
coming off of injury.

Speaker 9 (41:50):
I thought Okermo is gonna be a superstar and he kind.

Speaker 4 (41:52):
Of another guy coming off of injury yeast year.

Speaker 2 (41:56):
Swartz, though, I.

Speaker 4 (41:57):
Think, I think he played amazingly well's first year.

Speaker 16 (42:00):
He couldn't say healthy last year than Anthony Walker got hurt,
than Taki. Taki got hurt when playing out a position.
He was really playing well the second half of the year.
I do think they are legit, But the question is
is is Deshaun gonna play well? That there's to me,
there's no bigger question mark in the NFL this year,
And again hyperbole.

Speaker 9 (42:20):
I agree.

Speaker 16 (42:21):
If Deshaun Watson can return to eighty percent of his
form free suspension fakes this like sat him down for
the year in twenty twenty, then they are, yes, a
legitimate AFC.

Speaker 4 (42:34):
I think I.

Speaker 9 (42:35):
Would like a little Swartz swarts comeback season. Jim Schwartz
really hasn't been in the mix lately. Let's get some
Schwartz bombs.

Speaker 4 (42:42):
Oh Schwartz, Yeah, Schwartz is good.

Speaker 9 (42:45):
I'm just saying like he mixes it up. He mixes
it up with immediate there's as like Hellinoya's players. Yeah,
Schwartz is good, Shorts is good.

Speaker 2 (42:54):
You know, he's kind of like Greg Williams, but just
not you know, enough less.

Speaker 9 (42:58):
Yeah, but he's a little villain.

Speaker 7 (43:00):
He's just a tangible villainy to Greg Williams.

Speaker 9 (43:04):
He's like Greg Williams, except he always had a cover
blurb on Football Prospectus every year Football Outsiders. So he's
like a little bit of a nerd. But he was
one of those guys the book I read, Well, I'm
Making Game Plans Jim Schwartz, two thousand and seven.

Speaker 16 (43:17):
But I remember in the I can't remember which job
he might have been interviewing for the Bears job in
the nineties. I was in Chicago, and I remember somebody
in that building told me at the time that when
he interviewed, they were blown away by his whether you
want to call it an analytics like presentation, but in
the in the late nineties, yeah, his presentation the I'm
a little bit smarter than you, I'm ahead of the

(43:38):
game presentation.

Speaker 4 (43:39):
So he's been that guy.

Speaker 7 (43:40):
He was one of six little nerds back in the
Cleveland Browns regime days.

Speaker 3 (43:45):
And finally, Andrew, before we let you go and we're
going to wrap the show up soon too, because we
just want to hang out, buddy. But dating in the
South Bank, what are some tips?

Speaker 2 (43:57):
It's a little shaking their heads.

Speaker 16 (43:58):
It's so difficult, a little bit of that older crowd,
which I'm okay with. It's not the it's not the
younger Santa Baca of Venice, West Hollywood crowd that I
was used to. I'm also not younger anymore.

Speaker 9 (44:10):
Right, it's that rude.

Speaker 16 (44:12):
But that seems to I'm closer to fifty than I
am to forty.

Speaker 4 (44:16):
So let's let's cut the crap.

Speaker 2 (44:18):
There.

Speaker 3 (44:19):
Pesh's mom played by h Marty Scorsese's real life mother.
You know, they're sitting or eating some pasta. There's a
dying guy in the trunk. But she's like, why don't
you meet a nice girl? You settled down, have a
nice girl. Let's do it. Let's settle downt's find a
nice woman. Okay, bring around the show. We'll give her
the seal of approval.

Speaker 5 (44:38):
I'm down.

Speaker 16 (44:39):
That's obviously the first step. Forget my parents. It would
be you guys. I'm down to do that. This the
South is different. I mean, you got a lot of
guys hanging out of the nine hundred club that you
know probably sold their company at thirty two and now
they're single still at fifty eight. The club they have
what's that about the Peter Pan label. It's a lot
of que unquote Peter Pans down here that can't grow

(45:00):
up right.

Speaker 9 (45:01):
But they don't have that advice in that plan of
action that Dan Hansis just gave you that's gonna lead you.

Speaker 2 (45:06):
That's true.

Speaker 16 (45:07):
Oh they've probably done it six or seven times and
they're rebooting yet again. It's it's a different world down here.
I kind of missed the West side. But look we're
sitting on the beach.

Speaker 7 (45:18):
We would sound challenging, Andrew, but I think you're going
to navigate it.

Speaker 4 (45:22):
I picture world problem.

Speaker 3 (45:23):
I picture a scenario about six months from now, I
get a text out of the blue, Andrew, I found
the one that's gonna be real nice.

Speaker 7 (45:32):
Then then systematically she comes on our show before he.

Speaker 4 (45:35):
And then we clear it your parents, and then away
we go.

Speaker 16 (45:38):
Would they have to come in and do this in
your podcast studio or would you guys go on location again?
Would you come to us?

Speaker 9 (45:46):
Okay, yeah, maybe we'll have another Vista show.

Speaker 3 (45:48):
Give me flex, We'll be flex we'll get the vist
the sunshine out and we'll have a whole sit down.

Speaker 4 (45:52):
Okay, sounds great. Can I ask you one last thing? Sure? Okay,
it's a two part question.

Speaker 16 (45:57):
What what do you think of the knew I'm throwing
myself out there again Aaron Rodgers?

Speaker 4 (46:04):
Okay? And two.

Speaker 16 (46:09):
Do you read into back to back nights at the
Taylor Swift Show.

Speaker 4 (46:13):
Oh, that's interesting.

Speaker 3 (46:15):
Well, when you say I'm putting myself out there, and
do you mean just his involvement with the team, with activities.

Speaker 16 (46:20):
Involvement with the team, being mister social doing.

Speaker 4 (46:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (46:25):
My my take on that whole thing is if he's
if he's around for multiple years, year one good soldier year,
next year, all bets are off and it will be
the same way it was with Green Bay. He will
not be in Floram Park in May next year, no
matter what happens.

Speaker 2 (46:41):
Is old Brandon Marshall plan. Yes, exactly.

Speaker 16 (46:44):
Have you ever have you ever said, well, man, of
course you've got to FaceTime me.

Speaker 4 (46:49):
I have no service.

Speaker 5 (46:51):
Yeah, I got I gotta say.

Speaker 3 (46:52):
Like, there's another article popped up again where yeah, Matt
Schnine with the athletic Uh, It's like Aaron, you gotta
move on, bro like and I understand like Matt Schneidman
and Packers fans are interested in it, but you just.

Speaker 5 (47:04):
Can't talk about it anyway. You gotta move forward.

Speaker 3 (47:07):
So, yes, there are elements of the Rogers personality that
will continue to irritate. But if you could play quarterback
specifically for my team, I will let a lot slide.
But I think we're gonna get him on very good
behavior this year, absolutely, and then next year we'll see
what happens in so many ways of that organization. And
as far as the Taylor Swift thing, back to back
nights is a lot. That's that seems like a lot

(47:29):
if you're saying how to read into that because he's
just a huge fan of Taylor.

Speaker 16 (47:34):
Sweat is another wrong with that. I'm I might go
multiple nights. It's so far, I'll tell you, right.

Speaker 9 (47:38):
I mean, I think he was also unless it was
the same thing. I think he was at the Phoebe
Bridgers Genius Show too. She's taken it. I just loves
music just.

Speaker 16 (47:47):
Because Taylor Taylor is due to the free agency right now.

Speaker 5 (47:50):
Oh okay, wait a second.

Speaker 4 (47:52):
I see where you go.

Speaker 16 (47:52):
See where I'm going, and I've seen other gown path
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (47:56):
It seems kind of almost it's it has to happen
at this point. It seems like she's got to lose
this guy from the nineteen seventy nine and then it
will be Aaron Rodgers and it will be the biggest
story in the country.

Speaker 5 (48:06):
I don't need it.

Speaker 3 (48:07):
We need to focus on getting dubs in the swamps, right,
We need to focus where it should be.

Speaker 2 (48:13):
H Andrew Ceciliano, You've said it all.

Speaker 5 (48:15):
Thank you, my man. I will meet you up for
a drink about eight feet away in a few minute.

Speaker 16 (48:19):
Guys, I was flattered to be back on the show
for the first time in four years.

Speaker 4 (48:22):
It made me.

Speaker 2 (48:22):
It made my off season. It made my off season again.
We'll get you sooner next time. We love Andrew. All right,
how's evering going? You haven't a good time. The sun's
not out yet. We need to recall telling back just
to get on the nerves. Want to get Patrick. Let's
get Patrick.

Speaker 9 (48:38):
Oh yeah, to come down to Kimmy checks for some
fantasy and then we'll say, say, I just feel like we.

Speaker 5 (48:45):
There we go another.

Speaker 3 (48:46):
Yes, we need to We got a deep bench today
now coming on the legend himself, Patrick Clay, what's up?

Speaker 2 (48:55):
You just belonged by the sea.

Speaker 9 (48:57):
Yeah you you you dressed most appropriately.

Speaker 5 (49:01):
Well, thank you, guys.

Speaker 12 (49:02):
I figured we should celebrate the month, celebrate the event,
and no, I just this was clean.

Speaker 4 (49:08):
This was what happened.

Speaker 9 (49:09):
We've been kind of, you know, carrying the load here
talking a lot. We heard that you sorry one note.

Speaker 7 (49:14):
I see a man going by a bike wearing the
exact same sweatshirt that Andrews of Celano just appeared on with,
you know, and.

Speaker 12 (49:22):
You missed it, Mark, because when you said that, he
turned around and gave this look as if to say, hey, no.

Speaker 2 (49:27):
One's supposed to talk about that. I'm hot on men's fast.

Speaker 9 (49:32):
I didn't know it was the South Bay uniform. I
was like, oh, I should get one of those.

Speaker 3 (49:36):
Wait, now he's coming back and he has anger in
his eyes and he's walking right toward Mark.

Speaker 12 (49:39):
Yeah, I think we're gonna have enough this dude out.

Speaker 9 (49:41):
Mark, I was gonna say. Patrick told me privately here
that he had a five minute monologue though on like
one of the hottest topics in the NFL. Right now,
So the floor floor is yours, Patrick.

Speaker 12 (49:52):
Greg is making stuff up again. Occasionally Greg Rosenthal does this.
He will, he will just fabricate some reality that doesn't exist.

Speaker 9 (50:00):
I thought that was my Sessler's moment.

Speaker 3 (50:02):
You want a little a little fun fact for today's episode,
two different people sitting in your chair have reference directly
walking into the ocean and ending it all.

Speaker 12 (50:11):
It's a little dark. It's a little dark right now,
but we can we can be the light. I love it.
I love the golf. We can be the light to
keep people out of the ocean.

Speaker 4 (50:20):
I like that.

Speaker 2 (50:21):
We need that.

Speaker 12 (50:21):
And now I'm experiencing regret because I feel like I
should have picked up the torch that Greg tried to No,
that took the easy way of No.

Speaker 3 (50:31):
Do you have any trench in takes that you've been
sitting on a little bit in terms of the NFL,
this would be the time to.

Speaker 12 (50:37):
Share it, Dan, If I had a take I was
sitting on, then it would be an impossible take to
share publicly with you guys that the listeners could hear,
because if I have a take, it's coming out, man,
coming out in some compacity.

Speaker 7 (50:49):
Mean you're on television a lot, especially if you if
you go into a tavern or a restaurant in NFL networks,
I feel it gets like eighty five percent of their
share from just sil tavern restaurant. Fair But like you,
are you recognized on the street. Do you walk up
and down the streets whenever say hey, that's Patrick.

Speaker 12 (51:07):
Cla I have three people. I have dudes at Costco. Uh,
there's three dudes at Costco. Yeah, three particular. This is
not like a thing that happens a lot. But there's
three dudes at the Costco that I go to that
have spoken to.

Speaker 9 (51:22):
Me every time.

Speaker 12 (51:24):
It's the same dudes every time. Otherwise it's like whatever,
just the dude, you know, just a dude at the
bar trying to get a drink.

Speaker 4 (51:31):
There's a guy at the bar getting a drink.

Speaker 9 (51:34):
So you're saying they know you the from fantasy, not
from your around the NFL podcast work.

Speaker 12 (51:39):
No, I'm all the atn people communicate with me through
other means.

Speaker 2 (51:44):
Uh.

Speaker 12 (51:45):
We're a family, of course. But as far as random people,
I would I wouldn't consider an AT and listener to
be a random person. They're they're a part of.

Speaker 9 (51:54):
You've always been a risk taker on Twitter. Have you
received any feedback from the Hires up lately with some.

Speaker 12 (52:03):
Of the thankfully no, thankfully no.

Speaker 3 (52:07):
But isn't that almost like an indicator that maybe it's
time to ramp up the heat. You like walking up
to that line, and that's what makes Claybourn a great
follow on the Twitter.

Speaker 12 (52:16):
I probably should we do have. You know, we've talked
about the belligerent capitalists that that's operating the institution that
that we all know and love as Twitter dot com.

Speaker 2 (52:27):
I'm gonna own this company in about six months.

Speaker 12 (52:29):
Yeah, it's been a hindrance to my participation. But but
I'm always going to be on the site. I'm always
going to be UH in some capacity. But it's you know,
it's the all season.

Speaker 2 (52:38):
And the only fans page going. It's good.

Speaker 12 (52:42):
We're we're building mark we are building. We're trying to
get up to something UH that can be marketable, that
can be distributed. We want to open the kimono it
literally and it's all about vertical and horizontal integration regarding
the only fans page, and we're and we're looking forward.

Speaker 9 (52:58):
That was great, yes, and that was very nice.

Speaker 3 (53:01):
And now here's your last opportunity to share a.

Speaker 12 (53:05):
Trench in take Okay, why not because we got the NBA.
I know there's something in the chamber. Yeah, we've got
the NBA Finals coming up, yea. And only one team
gets to be remembered. Only one team gets to go
around and go to banquets and have horrible chicken and
talk about their experience for the remainder of their own lives.
And it is a travesty. I know championships are important,

(53:28):
but only one team every single season gets to be remembered,
gets to be celebrated, And I think it's it's a problem.
I saw people tweeting, especially Celsic's fans, that were like,
oh I would have rather been swept, Like you didn't
enjoy the tip in, you didn't enjoy the climb back
from down three to zero. What are we saying, like,
why don't you enjoy the sports? Because if you don't

(53:49):
enjoy the sports, why are you watching?

Speaker 2 (53:52):
That's it.

Speaker 7 (53:52):
That's why football is completely different.

Speaker 3 (53:56):
Is that if once you have that tip in who's
the gentleman who had the tip in? Point Derek White
to not win the game seven, it's all the more
painful because it feels like that went from iconic moment
in team history to total afterthought. It is like to
almost waste that and you almost rather it didn't happen.

Speaker 9 (54:14):
It was brutal, but we got those two days of
excitement looking forward to the game seven. It got the series,
and I'm the Celtics are a good example of this,
of this team that keeps getting close. But I do
try to keep in mind they've given me a lot
of enjoyment being so good, and yes they haven't gotten
over the hup. Hopefully they get there someday. But like

(54:35):
if the Heat lose the series, which I think they will,
and maybe they'll prove me wrong and everyone wrong like
they have, Like they should be remembered for making two
finals runs in this ridiculous era, Like it should be remembered.
They should have banquets.

Speaker 4 (54:47):
Check it.

Speaker 12 (54:48):
And it's okay to have things hurt, like people are
leaving relationships all the time and it's like, oh I
wasted time, did you or did you enjoy your serians
at the time, and you're upset that it's over, And
it's fine to be upset when you have something good
and it ends, But that doesn't mean that you.

Speaker 3 (55:03):
Shouldn't to take buried in the champion And I'll go ahead,
Mark I.

Speaker 7 (55:09):
Said, twenty seven years from now, Patrick, God happily attend
that Miami Heat pant with you.

Speaker 2 (55:14):
I don't know what else?

Speaker 12 (55:15):
Yeah, why not Lawry and some good chicken? Why don't
we make the chicken better?

Speaker 3 (55:19):
Before we say goodbye, Pat, I can't really look at you, Patrick,
so I have to talk in this record before we
say goodbye. On the subject of the NBA Playoffs, the
Miami Heat drop game one of the play in They're
down in the elimination play in game, win that game
five minutes to go, and then what happens? They knock

(55:41):
off a suppose a juggernaut number one seed, then a
very tough New York Knicks team, then a fifty eight
win Celtic squad.

Speaker 5 (55:53):
How about that moment claim?

Speaker 2 (55:56):
How about it?

Speaker 12 (56:00):
The obvious question is, Dan, why didn't they lose to
the Bulls?

Speaker 2 (56:03):
If because they didn't have their momentum yet, it's a thing.

Speaker 3 (56:10):
Come on, if the Miami Heat exists. To convince Patrick Clayn,
the momentum is a thing in sport, Okay, we'll see.
We'll see if they pulled it off.

Speaker 9 (56:18):
The wait, what about the momentum after they blew out
the Celtics in Game three?

Speaker 2 (56:23):
Well, there'll be a sick of fan.

Speaker 9 (56:25):
To clay Bon, Greg, I've never been a momentum guy
twenty eight three.

Speaker 3 (56:31):
Did you send any momentum that that Sunday night in Houston?

Speaker 9 (56:35):
I mean I saw a lot of a lot of
scores in a row talking circles on this.

Speaker 3 (56:41):
Yeah, all right, Patrick, let's have a drink. In seven minutes,
we're drinking, and so all right, in fact, let's.

Speaker 4 (56:46):
Wrap it up.

Speaker 3 (56:47):
We're having some issues. So thank you to everybody for
uh listening here. Thank you again to Vista and and
Brady running this operation in Hermosa and all the crew
with the NFL that did an amazing job setting us
up and getting this done, and all the guests that
have come on. And now we're gonna hang out as

(57:07):
a group because this is the time of year to
do such a thing.

Speaker 2 (57:09):
Boys.

Speaker 7 (57:10):
Absolutely, let's waste no more time in doing that.

Speaker 2 (57:13):
All right?

Speaker 3 (57:14):
Until next week, Dan has a signing off for Quiet Storm,
the old Boss, Patrick, Clayban, Andrew Ceciliano and some Walt
Colleen wolf Eric at Tamposi. Cynthia just rolled in. We're
gonna talk to her. Kevin Danger Hands my brother maybe
the Lighthouse they call him Eric behind the glass heathen
