One hundred point seven WSLX Boston's ClassicRock with Billy Idol and of course Carls
McKenzie, Heather Kenny Young, ourproducer. Kevin will return tomorrow, seven
twenty four. It's still forty eightoutside Okay, cloudy skies today. Looks
like we're breaking some sunshine right nowover the guy's in Medford and we'll have
some breezy conditions out there, highsaround sixty degrees. So I thought of

(00:23):
Kevin when I caught this story overthe weekend, because Kevin is in Ohio,
in the Akron, Ohio area, which is where this story comes from.
So there's a junk yard there. They've been people of well, they
thought people plural were breaking into thejunkyard and stripping catalytic converters and other things

(00:44):
off the vehicles. Turned out tobe this one guy that was doing it
over and over again and they justcouldn't catch him. So somehow they probably
had some sort of stakeout and whenthey caught him, he was in the
vehicle trying to do his business.Don't they have junkyard dogs anymore? Really
big ones? Yeah? I mean, isn't that Yeah, Like the former

(01:08):
wrestler. So listen to how theycaught this guy. This is great.
He broke into a car at thejunk yard and before he could get out,
he's done it before they got likethe forklift and they had him.
I'm not getting like twenty feet offthe ground he was in the car used
to get him up. Was itone of those magnet ones where they just

(01:29):
lived went right in the custody. It happened Tuesday afternoon. Employees used a
forklift to suspend the car in midair. I was was pretty impressive, honestly,
so when police arrived, it wasan easy arrest. Turn around,
put your hand in your back, right. Police arrested twenty six year old
Alexander Funk for criminal trespassing and possessingcriminal tools. All right, here's the

(01:49):
deal. This lot has been Uhthere's having a serious amount of breakings and
converters cut off and you got asaws off and you're in the private area
of the business. It's not opento the public. Yes, so you
know what I mean? You know, yeah, right, you're unders Why
did they man, why did theydo that when they could have just put
him in that car compressor thing thesmash her and them all together. Right,

(02:15):
I'm surprised they didn't just murder him. Oh you were out last week?
Can see that happen? Tell herabout the car that drove was that
Southborough? Yeah? That was aboutI didn't pay attention to anything on the
weekend. Okay. She had adrive through chains, she had to hop
an eight inch curb and she puther vehicle into a industrial compactor. Yeah.

(02:36):
First, thankfully they got her out. Okay, and they had to
get tow truck to get the car. I can turn the compactor on and
off so they could figure that out. I was at We used to have
that place in New York where youthrew your garbage bags over into the compactity
Ohio, and it was like thirtyforty feet down right. Correct. So
this one woman, she was themother of one of my students. She

(02:58):
was tiny, maybe maybe ninety hundrepounds. She went to throw her bag
and she never let go of thebag. She went down into the compactor.
Oh my, it wasn't on.But can you imagine though, it's
All Star Wars right there. That'sexactly what I thought about. They're dying,
right, that's tremendous. All right, So everybody's safe and sound.

(03:20):
Mister Funk was arrested though, misterin the junk yard seven twenty seven forty
eight degrees at Boston's Classic Rock onehundred point seven WSLX. Hey, keep
in mind we are less than anhour and a half away. Now your
first of thirteen opportunities to get alittle more cheddar in your diet. I'm
talking about cash, talking about thethousand dollars bribe. Your first keyword hits
at nine to ten. Here inZLEXX with Carlson McKenzie, Heather, Kenny

(03:44):
Young, our producer, seven fortyfour forty eight degrees coming up one hour
from now, we'll ask you toparticipate in the Classic Rock Clash. Now,
Kevin is out today, so Kennywill not be participating. Setting up
buttons. It's lights and buttons. It sets up an easy victory for you.
So the clashes, because Drew's gonnacome in and he's easy pickings.

(04:06):
We had an outright winter on Friday. Yeah, I'd say Drew loses nine
out of ten times, so yourchances are pretty good. And Pete says
that with love Drew. Sure,of course I do cloudy skies today.
It's clouded up again. We stillhave some peaks of sun out there,
highs around sixty. What's falling off, what's pulling off? What's calling off?

(04:33):
So I took last week off andit wasn't because I went anywhere.
Welcome back forward, Hey you,hey you. I also didn't there's nine
days total, right, because ifyou're including the two weekends, not one
of those nineties did I sleep inand sleeping once? Fault? Is that
mine? Obviously. So my husbandwas away on a trip for most of
that time. Yeah right. Myparents came to visit for part of that

(04:56):
time. The boys were in school. One has marching band till the end
of time. The other one issoccer all the time. I had so
much going on that I skipped thingsthat I was supposed to do because I
wasn't available, Like my brain justturned off. All I wanted to do
was get my nails done. Thatwas my only goal for the whole week.
And look at my nails. Theyare juster than they are nude.

(05:21):
So dogs, one's growing rapidly puppyand the other one got neutered last week
and he's not happy at a vets, so he has to be heavily medicated,
just to go. Bruce loves us, but he doesn't love others.
I know, you guys do alot of DIY projects. Was this one
of them? Did not do that. But along with all of that going

(05:45):
on, and then I did thatfundraiser at the church, the eighties themed
fundraiser, which was spectacular. Itwent off. They this church I go
to these everybody there are just dressed. I mean, I can't even explain
to you. I say, youguys, pictures got into character. They
knew what to do and they didit like at a twelve out of ten
nice like it was. This wasa murder mystery. It's a murder mystery.
We're gonna do it each year.I already know the theme for next

(06:06):
year church. So that aside mywhole family. I don't know if you
should like take down the music alittle bit here only because this is serious.
But in the middle of all ofthat, my family ended up in
the news in Colorado, uh forlike we would see a WTF. And

(06:27):
that was going on throughout this wholeweek. Okay, so my mother like
extended family or well to my mother'sfirst cousin, right, I've talked about
him before. His name is Alex. When we went to when my aunt
passed away, we went out tobreakfast because he stayed by my aunt's side
the whole time she was in hospice, right, So we went there,
we had breakfast, and he pouredsyrup on his eggs, and I recorded

(06:48):
him. I'm like, what areyou doing? Who pours syrup on eggs?
I do if they're on top ofpancakes or waffles. And that's what
he said, basically, this ishow I like it. This is how
it's happened with maple syr. Iwould never do that, but I watched
him do it. And so he'sa lovely man. And so he lives

(07:09):
in Colorado. I know I'd enjoyedbreakfast with him, for sure, definitely
what I showed you guys a pictureand he basically asked his roommate for the
rent. And this is a manin his sixties. I don't know how
the roommate is. And the roommatetook a weapon to him over the head
and heavily brain damage like the person. And then this guy called nine to

(07:31):
one one because he thought he hadkilled Alex. And so thankfully the ambulance
showed up and that guy was chargedwith attempted murder. Right well, Alex
passed away yesterday, Oh yeah, and he was attacked by his roommate over
rent. And I'm thinking, thisis the kind of we talk about with
other people, like a Florida manstory. It is, it is,

(07:54):
except it's my man. Yeah,So it was just it was just ongoing
all week because he kept saying tomy mother on the phone. He kept
going, I don't feel right.I can feel the blood pooling in my
brain. He kept saying that tomy mom because he got this is why
he was injured, and this theysent he didn't have really good health insurance.
He got sent home almost immediately. He ended up passing in a hospital.

(08:18):
But I mean that's because his brotherLuigi took him. But like,
I just the whole thing, yeah, you know, I mean you have
a so you expect to read storieslike that. You don't expect. No,
And again, the nicest guy rightlike stayed by my aunt's side as
she was in hospice, right like, no, no, it's his first

(08:39):
cousin. But still, you know, just a can you It just makes
you so everybody's so wired right now, right right, oh yeah, especially
you know when it comes to financesis tight, you know, and you're
strapped and you lose it, butyou can't lose it and hit somebody over
the head. That results of thiswhole body and this whole body and I

(09:03):
don't know, I'm not positive. When my mother told me what the weapon
was, it was extreme, butit was just who And I was like,
and Alex is He's a big dude, right right, you know,
like, like is this somebody?Like I have family in California. First,
my mother will go that I've nevermet. Literally, I have first
cousins I've never met. When Iwhen I was four years old, we

(09:26):
all packed in a car and wentfrom New York to El Paso together,
like on a road trip to visitfamily. Like my mother's close, Okay,
yeah, she's close, so she'llprobably I don't know where the funeral
is going to be, but she'llprobably fly. That's a tough one.
It's just a weird week. Itwas, and it just to have that
story is like the undertone of thewhole thing. What do you I mean,

(09:50):
what you know, maybe maybe goget your nails done. No,
I can't know. I had onlyone rule is that I would only get
my nails done if I felt relaxed, because I didn't want it to be
a chore. So I've had thisgift certificate for my friend Ryan since April.
This was a birthday gift, andI said, then, I keep
saying to myself, only go inif it doesn't feel like you're squeezing it

(10:11):
in right, forcing it. Onlygo in if it's like I have all
this time, I feel great,I'm going to go in there and get
my toes done or my finger's.Nothing to do before, nothing to do
after. I never had that momentthis week. Yikes. Maybe something small
like that could make you feel better, you know, he could. In
my head away I had the timeto do it right. Oh God,
you say to your moth for it, and everybody's say a prayer for Alex.

(10:35):
Yeah. Absolutely, such a nicedude from a Planet Fitness w c
Lex Studios, Horizon Now, thanksfor making a part of your morning,
idiot, great story. Thank God. On one point seven w Lex Boston,
Well, this man's face is everywhereright now. So if he's not
caught in the next I don't knowday, it would be surprising. This

(10:58):
is the gardener man third, threeyears old, Aaron Pennington. He's being
sought after by States. He's six' two, about one seventy five,
blonde hair, blue eyes. Helooks like a Barbie doll. He looks
like the original Kens. Yeah, you're right, he does, I said,
Dahmer with if you put glasses onhim, looks Ryan Gosling looked to
Gosling. He's considered armed and dangerous, and there's a deceased woman in his

(11:22):
home, the mother of what fourchildren. They haven't said it specifically yet,
but I'm assuming they're his kids. You mentioned Kenny earlier to us off
air that he's a Mormon, andhe's They believe he's driving again, armed
and dangerous. They believe he's drivinga twenty thirteen BMW bottle three twenty with
a Massachusetts veteran plate eight A threezero. Okay, it looks like a

(11:45):
white BMW. Right suspect on therun. And you know, Gardner's kind
of small town America out there andthe furniture outlets. That's what I always
think of when I hear a gardenerexactly. You know. So it was
for that community just to be rockedwith this story. Yeah, so,
Ary but there are four children there. They had they're in DCF custody.
They left the house and went toa neighbor's house. I guess after everything

(12:09):
happened there. So whatever happened withthe we assume the mom and the children,
I am assuming the mom of thechildren or some of the neighbors.
Yeah, as kids, they're autsideplaying all the time. But you seem
like a nice plava. I mean, I have a daughter of my own,
and just to know that a mom, you know, four kids lost
their mother is terrible. Just huggingmy daughter tight tonight. The boy kids.

(12:33):
You don't know what goes on behindclosed doors. I guess the investigation
began around nine to fourteen in themorning. Mmm, that's when it started.
This guy just disappeared. Well yeah, well he kind of looks like
he can blend in anywhere pretty peopleare, honestly, doesn't it. I
mean, I don't know what,but yeah, he's a looking guy.
I just yeah, there's no likeoverwhelming features, like he could be Joe

(12:56):
ordinary, you know, exactly,And he's Aaron Pennington. And so sometimes
when you look at these mug shots, while that's not exactly a much actually
his work shot. Yeah, buthe looks gentle and kind. He doesn't
look like a murderer. Yeah.Usually you can look at it. I
look into someone's eyes, you cansay, oh yeah, I could see
them being right. He looks likea guy that runs around the neighborhood exercise

(13:18):
for his own health. Yeah, that kind of person he does kids.
Yeah, unlike the like Van Slute. When you look at vanced Slute,
you know, uh, he lookslike a murderer. Oh. The guy
from Aruba. Yeah, the guyfrom Aruba that was in the news.
And I know because my mother insistedon telling me about it, about how

(13:39):
admitted how he had killed her.He had that look. So then the
guy the going back to that, did you guys also discuss how after he
described how he got rid of her, how the people who took us on
that tour got it right. Youremember we went on that tour of Aruba
and we were on those big vehicles. Oh yeah, they're all terrains.
Yeah, And we got to theone area on the very end and they

(14:01):
said that this was rumored to bethe place where he threw her off the
cliff. I did not remember thatside note, Kenny, which we found
out from the guy who was alsodoing the tour, is that when you
look down, I mean it waslike hundreds of feet down right. It
was all waves crashing against that therocks. And the guy said, you
know, you can't it's the water'snot clear. He goes, but there

(14:22):
was a hurricane one hundred miles orso away from here, and it dragged
all of the wind with it andit became completely calm for the first time
off this side of the island. And he goes in. All we could
see were thousands of hammerheads m ohfish food. Yeah, he said,
you could never tell that that's whatwas there. But then it was crystal

(14:46):
clear and the waves were gone.It was like the first time that they
had ever seen that whole area withoutany waves, just hammer Yeah. I
was just crazy. So that Iguess that was a big story last week.
The other BMW stor for our area, by the way, is that
there's some repeat offender who likes toflash women who was driving around Boston.
At one point in Dorchester, likeeleven in the morning, he flashed a

(15:09):
woman. You have the year andthe model, you have a plate number,
No, I mean this one. They're looking for a very like this
guy, they'd already caught, soI don't think they needed to give thee.
No, this guy was already hewas caught. Well. Yeah,
and flashers always turn out to bemen, don't they. There's never women
that are flashing. I mean,I've never heard of them. He never

(15:31):
heard of a female flash. Mentend to not report it because they don't
Maybe they don't feel threatened when afemale flashes them, But when a female
is splashed by a man, youfeel like things might go wrong very quickly.
Yeah, I would agree with that, So that might be why men
don't report it. Yeah, it'smore fun for a guy when a woman
does it, it might be.And it's more threatening for a woman when

(15:54):
the very threatening for a woman whena guy pulls out his weird looking wiener.
Yes, it's not. It's notgreat at all. So it's little,
it's not weird, it's still it'sjust too it's just the the person
itself, if you're just scared ofwhat's gonna happen next. So we had
that, and now we're going totalk about briefly the fact that the Pats

(16:14):
beat the Bills. Yeah, goodfor them. We'll talk briefly about the
fact that Bill Belichick had some sortof a quote lucrative contract extension. This
is a Curry Ian rappaport right beforethe season started, and we don't know
how much for we don't know howlong, shrouded in mystery, shrouded in
mystery. But Ian Rapper, he'sthe guy that did right broke the story.

(16:34):
The story. Yeah, sources sayBill Belichick during the offseason quietly agreed
to terms on a lucrative, multiyear new contract. His contract one of
the most closely held secrets in NewEngland. That said, I think it's
fair to say there was some atleast uncertainty or intrigues surrounding him. Now
contractually he is locked up long termand rich. At least we're gonna have

(16:59):
the discussion, and this at leastadds some contact with the context with the
Patriots committing to the greatest coach inhistory long term. So that's not the
story to me. Honestly, itwas the story to me until Pete like
at five thirty in the morning playedthis audio of Bill Belichick, who I
think it's Bill Belichick from the Hallof Fame induction that was on Saturday,

(17:21):
talking about Dante Scarnaki. I'm tellingyou, when I first heard it,
it didn't I can't even believe thisis Bill Bellich and I'm not exaggerating.
It's me just, but not thisme just. I can't even I can
still see Scar yelling at Big Cat, but he's looking straight up at him
like this. It's like, bigCat, you don't use our techniques.

(17:45):
That's why you're not doing this right. You're not having any success because you
keep doing it your way, andyour way is not working. So you
he's so animated, you better startdoing our way, all right, or
you're never gonna be any good. And he's looking straight up and Big Cats
looking straight down at him, andI'm thinking, like, any second now,

(18:07):
Big Cat's just gonna just give hima fist over the top of the
head. Yeah, he's talking aboutScarnakey trying to coach this six foot eight
giant of a man. And youknow, Skarnaky what is he like?
Five three? Yeah, I'm BillBelichick. Looked like it sounded like he
got hit over the head. You'reyou're convinced that he got laid. I
think he's got a new girlfriend, just the way he handed himself at the
Hall of Fame ceremony and at thepodium after yesterday's win. That was even

(18:30):
crazy racking one liner liner. Imean, I never win or lose.
For the last twenty years i've livedhere, I've never heard him react like
that. He's yeah, here heis asking the media right after the game,
looking for a few softball questions.Right, it's gould like a lot
of softball out their formulas, andI hit a single, like I don't
need to hit out a part. He's got a softball one. Yeah,

(18:56):
that was you know, like thatcould have been costly sleep mistake, you
know on our part, and thereare let's say, you know, normally's
probably just think about taking the delaypenalty and kick it. But like he
sounds human, right, well,he sounds human here we're hard. I
mean, I don't know, it'sfrom fifteen fluctuation in his tone, yeah,
not monotone. It's like he's up, he's down with time out on

(19:18):
it. But when did this switchflip with a wind back coaching with a
new girlfriend. I'm telling you, normally that would kind of be a timeout
thing. But based on the wayit was, oh, here he is.
Now he's going to make a golfanalogy to the Bills kicker shanking field
goal. Okay, made a fortynine yarder and then you know, so
what happened on Bassis field goal?It looks like, you know, one

(19:40):
of my five irons, but straightthere right. But you know there's a
tough winck he's cracking one. Ican't even imitate him anymore. No,
if he keeps hisself, I should. So I'll do laid Bill Belichick and
you do angry. We just lostBill Belichick. And by the way,
when they win, he doesn't movieNFL microphone. The last two losses,

(20:02):
he moves the microphone. Yeah, would you like a fun fact about yesterday's
game? Before yesterday, the Patriotswith Mac Jones under center were zero and
fourteen when their opponents scored at leasttwenty five points. They've broken oh and
fourteen run by giving up twenty fivepoints and then winning the game. Mac

(20:23):
Jones broke his cherry in so manyways. Yesterday he got rid of that
and he got a fourth quarter comeback. It's like a Pillsbury dope. Boy.
When you say it like that, you just push him in his belly
goes the Elex Weather cloudy with thebreaks of sun. Highs around sixty son
and clouds and sixties tomorrow. Theweekend looks papulous forty eight degrees in Boston.

(20:45):
I'm Heather Forward on one hundred pointseven w z LX, Carlson,
Mackenzie, Heather Kenny Young, ourproducer. As you well know, we
are the home for major concert announcementsin this town when it comes to classic
rock. We have a major concertannouncement for you coming up at ten am
this morning, and we will giveaway the first pair of tickets for that
upcoming show. That is all thedetails I can give you for now.

(21:11):
Once again, eight to fifteen, forty eight degrees. We got clouds today
breaking for sun. It's been onand off all morning. Sun's out now,
highs around sixty degrees. It callsMackenzie and heathers what the what the
moment of the day on WCLX.Imagine this all right, So a home

(21:33):
has been in this family for fortyyears, all right, parts of five
decades. This home has been inthis family. So the woman who owns
the home goes on vacation and getsa call from her next door neighbors.
So she's not around. Okay, this woman's on vacation out of town.
She's not around. Gets a callfrom a neighbor. Did you hire somebody

(21:57):
to tear your ass down? Doorto me? That's been boarded up for
about fifteen years? And I saidno, No. She said, well,
there's somebody over here just demolished thewhole house and tore a whole house
down and says the workers got nasty. He told her to shut up mind
her own business. So she senta family member over, said, well,

(22:18):
look, I want to see apermit or something. He said okay.
He pulls it out and he says, oh, I'm not the wrong
address at the wrong house. Mikegoes everything up and leaves and the house
is deported down, deported, deplored. I can't understand my house. The

(22:38):
house is deplorted and they tore itdown. What she said, deplored it
deploreded. All right, Well,Heather's looking that up. I'd like to
hear more from this one. It'sjust hard to believe somebody just thinks they
can got the right just to comeup, tear something up and just walk
away from it and leave it andno oops, come back, say I'm

(22:59):
sorry, what do y'all need todo to fix this? You know it's
an accident and now oh it's justa rumbled mass at the whole house is
just deported in this crust. Herfamily has to figure out what to do
next. Thank you. It wasjust an apology and fixed the problem.
He needs to fix the problem. An apology first and then fix the problem.

(23:22):
So the house got deported. It'sa portent out of the country.
I don't know what she was saying. Where was this again? Uh?
Atlanta? Where was Atlanta? Georgia? Georgia. Jeez, my sister has
a house there. I hope theydon't. I don't know they don't deport
it. Imagine you go away onvacation, you're thinking, damn, I
hope I didn't leave the stove on, and then you come home to that

(23:44):
no house, godpted stove, deportedstove. That was Carlson, mackenzie and
Heather's Wonderful Moment of the Day Weekdaysat eight fifteen on one hundred point seven
w c O Boston's Classic Rock onehundred point seven w's lex Carlson McKenzie and
Heather Kenny Young. Our producer Kevinby the way. We'll be back tomorrow
after his trip to Ohio helping hissister celebrate her birthday. And I don't

(24:08):
know what number it is. It'sKevin and fifty nine. He's fifty nine,
right, He'll he'll be sixty.Yeah, he'll be sixty in March.
In March. Yeah. So atwenty three forty eight degrees clouds breaking
for son goes back and forth hereand met for all morning. We've had
both high near sixty degrees today.Well, guys, I have an announcement

(24:29):
to make. Travis Kelsey isn't theonly one that spent the night with Taylor
Swift this weekend? Oh what that'sright? I did. I spend Friday
night with Taylor Swift aras chore withmy wife, oh god, and with
our good friends and their four yearold daughter. On we went to the
movie. We went. It wasour good friend's daughter's birthday, so she

(24:52):
wanted to go see the Taylor Swiftmovie. That's great. She didn't get
to go with mom and Auntie togo see in Angellett's state. Yes,
so they bought extra tickets for theboys to come. And I got to
tell you how freaking impressed I wasyou with that Girl's concert film. I
mean the production that went into that. It was filmed at Sofi Stadium.

(25:14):
It was the La show from Augustuh and it was three hours in the
theater. So I was like, you know, I'm familiar with the music
because the wife plays it all thetime, and it's like, yeah,
it's fine. I respect her asa songwriter and all that. But I'm
telling you the production that went intothat thing. You haven't watched with Jen
the other Netflix concerts, No,I haven't watched a stitch I have.
I have just one question for you, Kenny. Because I was drinking,

(25:37):
I can understand. I'm sure youwere dine in thank you. I can
completely understand with your background as aproducer that you would appreciate what was done
on the screen. What about yourfriend Richie? Did he enjoy it as
much as you did? He did? In fact, I don't know if
he liked me saying this, buttowards the last i don't know, four
or five songs, he was standingup, clapping his hands, dancing along

(26:00):
too. He was doing that.First day. I got to tell you,
this was the first time I'd seenin a theater where like people were
up running around. There's tons ofkids. It was a five o'clock show,
okay, Friday, all right, and they're dancing, there's glow sticks
going around. It was a bigparty. And I was like, you
know, more and more artists aregoing to be doing this now. I
know we had a Metallica one offconcert film where you actually got to see

(26:23):
it live, right, it happened. I think you're going to see more
of these in theaters. You gotto be impressed with what Taylor Swift is
accomplished. She's been around a longtime. I mean, I don't care
if you don't like her music, that's one thing. But what she has
denied, what she's done's that's prettyincredible. The numbers speak for themselves.
Insane. So that was Friday night, and real quick on Saturday. I

(26:44):
told you I was working this weekend, and boy did we work. Oh
yeah. I mentioned that Friday. You were going to be part of a
catering crew, right helping out ourfriend's catering company, and they needed all
hands on deck. It was aparty of three hundred that we catered for
three hundred to sit down. Imean, top class everything, all the
way, no expense spared when Itell you this. It was out at

(27:07):
Smith College in Northampton, which isusually a pretty drive. It's an hour
and a half from my house.Yeah, but we're expecting, Oh,
it's gonna be a beautiful drive, sheets of relentless rain. We were going
thirty five on the pipe to getout there. So if it was it
sounds like black tie and gowns andsuits and that. Yes, servers servers

(27:29):
the same way. So because youwere basically part of the server team,
or we weren't servers, they hadservers and they had temp agency that helped
fill in the you know, theslots. But my wife and I were
heads of hospitality, so we werekind of doing what they call table touching
in the business. We're going,is everything okay? Here? Do you
need anything? Kind of like beinga butler for the VIP tables in the

(27:49):
front of which we had to setup ahead of time, So we got
there three hours ahead of time andwe had to do play settings as the
model table showed us. Wow forthree hundred Wow. That's that's the difference
between our silverware. This is thedifference between our friends. Kenny. My
friends would invite me over, Hey, can you help me paint you know

(28:11):
something, your friends are inviting youover to help them cater I mean they're
also like our third family, soit's like anything we can do to help
out. Of course we're there,we'll help you out. And and Jen's
done it before too. But thenight went off without a hitch. It
was a four course plated dinners. The food was unbelievable, and it was
just what about the tips? Werethey unbelievad that you get tips? There
was no tips, no tips, there was no the servers and all we

(28:34):
were volunteers, the wife and I. But yeah, so you know,
I had to do everything in mywill power not to go. Oh,
by the way, I listened tow c ALEX because some of the temps,
the servers that we were working withwere like, oh, or you
know, are you with the agencytoo? And I said no, And
so they're like, well, wellwhat do you do? Well, this

(28:56):
is just a side gig, youknow, well what do you do?
And then I to tell them, well, I'm on w CX the radio
station. They pay me nothing, that's why I'm doing nice. Yeah.
Yeah, I pulled it off andthere was like a live band there and
every day. Yeah, it's justtop notch affair. And then our other

(29:17):
friends that do the design work transformedthis gymnasium at Smith College. You'd never
know it. You'd think you werein the most lush banquet hall with the
lighting and the curtains of sweet, long flowing robes. Yes. And then
and then Sunday you took in thePatriots game, got hammered and came in
with a hangover. I did.I did after a week Yeah, after

(29:37):
was a great weekend. Top nineIf you weren't awake before, you are

we did get a talk back froma gentleman talking about the pumpkin bruise
there. Yeah, you had mentioned, Pete you had some of those,

(30:00):
you know, seasonal pumpkin bruise withthe sugar Rimer ship Yard pumpkinhead is what
I had this Friday. This guy'sgot a nice addition to that. I
heard you mentioning the pumpkin beer.Just curious if you've ever tried it with
dropping a shot of caramel vodka andbeer tastes like a pumpkin pie. Yes,

(30:23):
try that right, I think I'min We're all shaking our heads.
Yes, so we know what weknow what you've done done. Is there
a name for it? Because youknow you have the car bomb, right,
you have the called the pumpkin pieGuinness with Bailey's. I don't know
what it's called. I love we'regoing to call it the Special. Speaking

(30:45):
of Drew, Drew's in now totake you on in the classic rock clash
just in just a second. Ihave to tell you, Drew, and
I mentioned it to my colleagues herethis morning that I had a dream last
night that featured our old producer,uh Jeremy uh who it's nothing like you,
but it was No, he's nothinglike you, but it was your
hair mustache, but it was hisface. So in my mind, in

(31:11):
my dream, I'm thinking, thisis happening here. They don't have a
completely different face. I mean theyhave the same color eyes and they yeah,
one significantly older than the other.Yes, you're much younger, much
younger, yeah by Jeremy, Noyou don't, yeah, about twenty years.
He's younger. So I wanted justto let you know that I was

(31:33):
I did have a dream of kindof about you again. You were new
again. Of course you were new, just from the waist down, it's
going to say from the knees up. Every fall you did have socks and
shoes on legs and I didn't getto see your chest hairs again. All

(31:56):
right, Kenny, who do wehave? Oh? You know he's got
nice chest hair. Chris up,and please don't send us a picture.
Yeah, you don't have to senda picture. Don't back that up.
How's it going in Nashvilla? Chris? All right? You ready to uh
to take on Drew in the clash? All right, let's do it.

(32:17):
Let's get it on the rock.Christ class, it's Chris all right.
You're playing for a couple of pairof tickets to see the Spoken Word,
a little event with Geddy Lee atthe Orpheum Theater. It should be interesting

(32:37):
if you're a Rush fan, evenif you're not. For sure. That's
a long history of Rush. ThatRush has both the US and Canadian Hall
of Fames, I'll have you know. Oh that's right. Yeah, so
lots of stories to be told.Okay, here we go, good luck,
Chris name the two van You shouldget all these, by the way,
name the two van Halen brothers fromvan Halen Vanen. Oh my god,

(33:02):
I'm blanking out. Oh come on, Eddie, three seconds. This
is what happens when you're in Youhave a answer. You have a answer.
A I'm sorry Eddie and Alex. All right, so it's all sibling

(33:23):
related, all these questions. Okay. Can you name the young brothers and
founding members of the band E CD C. Yeah, yeah, and
yes, good job. John andTom were brothers playing for four years together

(33:45):
with Creden's Clearwater Revival. Give metheir last name, Bob, Yes,
Sir, and and Nancy Wilson arethe sisters in this classic rock band,
all right, yep, and brothersRobert and Dean Delio are the lead guitarist
and Bassis for this eighties band featuringScott Wiland is lead singer. Can you

(34:07):
name that band? Yeah? Goodjob? Good Rebound pulled it together right,
Yeah, I think you've got anexcellent opportunity. Hey, here comes
Drew Ammony and Drew. It looksa little nervous today, Monday. Maybe
a little foggy yourself today, maybedishevel Name the two van Halen brothers from

(34:30):
Van Halen if you please, uh, Eddie and Wow, Yeah, that's
the question. It's been a stumblingblock. He answers by asking you what
his name is? Tripped them bothup, Alex. How about the young

(34:53):

no idea? Are you completely seriousright now? Yeah? Or is

four years together with Creden's clear WaterRevival. Give me their last name?
John and Tom Ann and Nancy Wilsonare the sisters in this classic rock band.

(36:00):

that's what the podcast. That's right, Chris haying the line, we gotta
get some info from you, okayby Chris. Thanks all right, Thanks

(36:22):
Buddy Drew. Allow me to throwsome salt into that world now, all
right, it stings a little bit. Ks STP in Boston is classic rock
one hundred point seven w z Ilikes. You're home for the most commercial
free music in Boston. It's eightfifty to fifty degrees, clouds breaking for

(36:43):
sun throughout the day, in andout with the clouds. It looks like
it's going to be that kind ofday with a high near sixty degrees,
partly cloudy tonight, Lozell dip downinto the forties. Is Is goth still
a thing? Sure? Okay,I just don't hear about it as much
anymore, Like I don't see itas much anymore. That's because everybody knows
what it is, so you don'tneed to explain it. Yeah, Okay.

(37:05):
At the beginning, that was likea generational thing where you explain to
older people what the god. Okay, Now it's just kind of weaved into
the fabric just in there, right, Okay. So I would describe this
girl as goth when you Kenny, she doesn't look goths, but she has
goth tendencies. Tendencies. Yeah.Wow, See that's where we've come to.
Like, she's put caps on hereye teeth so they're fangs, and

(37:25):
she's a beautiful girl. She's abeautiful girl. I don't know. I
don't I don't know her her background. What I do know about her,
though, is that when she wasa young girl, she asked uh for
something from her parents that they wouldn'tgive her. But now she has it
because she got it for herself. And here's what it is. The first

(37:46):
time I asked my parents if Ican build a coffin bed, they said
no, that would be weird.Well, jokes on them. I have
one now. There is four inchesof memory film in here, so I
can sleep a coffin. She's gota coffin. However, it is not
airtight. It is safe. It'sa great way of weeding out potentially bad
dates, because ain't no one wantto hang out with someone who's a coffin
in the room. Anyway, It'sa great way to hide away from all

(38:07):
my problems. Okay, she putsthe lid on. Yeah, when she
closes the lid. Yeah, it'snot air clip, but she said it's
not airtight and she's probably built itthat way so she can't possibly suffocate it.
Can you roll over and like sleepon your side if you want to,
or sleep on your stomach? Shelooked small, So yeah, I
bet she could. I know Iwouldn't be. I wouldn't be even with
I would not be it. Well, I know Kevin for a fact would

(38:29):
not We would not do it.We once brought in Kevin into into a
Halloween party in a coffin and hefreaked out. He well, he freaked
out when the lid closed, butthen we had to hoist him up like
the pall bearers and oh god,and carry him into the party. Yeah,
guys went full the full tilts.Yeah, yeah, Wow. He
was dressed as a vampire when itwhen it when it opened up? Was

(38:52):
he crying? Was he a tearfulvampire because you're so scared? In his
coffin? This was so many right, No, Look, I'm just gonna
buy two necks tonight and that's it, only two. I'll tell you how
long ago this was. Either thiswas so long ago that I as one
of the pall Bearers. I wasdressed up like Archie Bunker. Wow,
how long ago that? Wass?Yes, that is a dated reference right

(39:15):
there. Wow, that's how longwe've been in this business. I'm older
than what was the what was theBunker's wife's name of the chef aiden older
than she was while she did thatshow a great Jean Staples g Yes,
just like Will Smith is is olderthan the dad on the Fresh Prince Lot.
Right. Yeah, Yeah, gota little show history there, didn't

(39:37):
you. Yeah? You did Sabbathin Boston's Classic Rock one hundred point seven
w c Lex, Carls mackenzie, and Heather Kenny Young. Our producer Kevin
will be returning tomorrow and speaking ofIron Man Sabbath Ozzi, Heather, I
have to tell you you weren't herelast week. Did you hear the news

(39:58):
about Ozzie? No? Okay,so his podcast with his family is ongoing.
Yeah, okay, so listen towhat he says here man. Okay.
The first thing that came to mindwas, oh my god, Heather
was right when I was in side, just because we're anywhere throwing. Oh

(40:23):
Lord, thanks for sharing. Rememberthe bucket that was more of a dumpy
bucket. No, no, Ithink that they. I think the Queen
could hold up her own procession tobe like, excuse me, I must
go and relieve myself, but shedon't. Yeah, but do you know
what do you think that she's like? All the royals aren't used to spending

(40:49):
hours on hours greeting people and doingpossessions. Sessions, possessions, Yes,
the human what's worth of the bully? Yeah? Funk function? You want
to go for the No, No, everybody's like you. So all those
shows where he was dumping buckets ofwater out in the crowd, Heather said

(41:09):
it from the beginning. I readit himself. All he had never admitted
it, but I had read itin some small thing that said, every
time he dumps water down his chest, it's because he needs to pee and
he wants to be able to doit without anyone knowing, and it washes
the away right in those rugs thatare underneath. Sure. Perfect. I
remember when I was like nineteen,I saw Ozzie at the Orpheum Theater and

(41:30):
I was in the third row,so I probably got pete one. You
might have you might have all right, Yeah, So thank you Heather for
being on top of that one. You're welcome. Yeah, you know.
So this they haven't found this guyright in the BMW that kind of looks
like Dahmer or Ken a Ken dollthat I can see. Okay. So

(41:52):
they're also looking for a purp outin Denver, the Denver, Colorado area
who uh picked up some heavy objectand swung it into a front door and
shattered the glass trying to break in. He did have some he had specific

(42:12):
things about him. If you seethis guy, you can you can find
him. Well, I don't seethis every day. An alleged burglar caught
with his pants down literally. OurVada police sharing this video of the suspect
and this man, wearing a shirtand underwear, appears to throw a speaker
through a glass door. Upon arrival, officers found three broken windows and roughly

(42:34):
five thousand dollars in damage to theinside. No arrests have been made,
but if you do recognize the guyin this video, contact Arvada police.
He's not wearing any pants. Ifyou recognize his wiener, please contact the
pantsless purpse. Right. Just alittle banana Hammock nine to twive fifty degrees,
Boston's classic rock oh right. Wz LX staple right there led Zeppelin

(42:59):
on Boston's Classic Rock one hundred pointseven WZLX, Carlson McKenzie and Heather Kenny
Young our producer. Kevin will beback tomorrow nine forty six fifty degrees.
Gonna have some clouds mixing with thesun today, high in your sixty degrees.
So I have to know since Kevin'snot here today, do you guys
actually know what the concert announcement isahead of time? I'm not asking you

(43:21):
to tell me. I'm just askingif they told you because Kevin's not here,
Yes, we know, send usa full email on it. As
a matter of fact. Yeah, was Kevin even on that email because they
didn't want him to dish it onFriday or Thursday rather. Yeah. So
we do have a big concert announcementcoming up at ten am. We will

(43:42):
give the first pair of tickets awayfor that show, which is coming to
Boston. I won't tell you where, I won't tell you the band.
I can't give any of that informationaway. All I can say is it's
next year, right yep, Okay, okay, So we'll leave it at
that. By the way, ifyou were listening at this time on Friday,
Heather, I know you weren't.You were here. The listeners were

(44:04):
acclued into a three team well, actually was a four team parlay, but
I couldn't play the fourth leg ofthe parlay because you can't bet on local
college football here in Massachusetts on DraftKings. So three three team parlay and Kenny,
I gave you your envelope today.Yes we did, Yes we did.
We would have hit it even biggerhad we gotten BC on there,

(44:25):
because BC was an underdog against Georgiatack and they won outright, right,
So you know, college football isabout as hard. It's just any given
Saturday college football. I don't knowwhy it's taken me three hours, Pete,
but you had given me an envelopewith some cash shadder in it,

(44:45):
and I made the mistake of notasking you how much do I owe you
for the original parlay that you putin or did you already take your cut
out of it? No? Ididn't take my cutout? Well, yeah
that's okay. Should Yeah it wasa twenty dollars way right, so we
it paid one fourteen? So wasthat ten apiece? Yeah? I was
ten apiece? Oh, come on, no, no, you get the

(45:08):
winning. How could I sleep withmyself? All right, Well, you
know you can chip in pretty easyif you buy me a beer at the
golf course. I'm done, Butnot sugar rimmed because he's on a fat
farm. No sugar for you.Yeah, that's right. By the way,
there was a team in college footballthat one. Okay, think about

(45:30):
this now. They won on theroad against a top ten team for the
first time in school history. That'sawesome. Did they rushed the field because
I would have rushed the field.Well, they were on the road,
but were there any fans there torush the field? Yeah? I wonder
what the college radio called. Thatsounds like snip jump snee high may standing

(45:53):
in the pocket, he throws changeshage, shackson, change shackson. Holy
whoa, they're gonna do it,paul A carry on the crusher, the
first top ten road wind in programhistory. Wow, I mean I got

(46:16):
chills. I don't know about youwere yeh college guys doing the announcing zip.
Plus, we've got a new catchphrase. Holy whoa, Holy wow,
wow, holy wow. He wasn'tsaying wazoo. He was saying holy whoa.
You go? Is that the mascot. Uh, oh, they're the
Cavaliers. Well, yeah, soI don't know what that would be,

(46:39):
but it was a great, greatcall from a college kid. All right,
