Speaker 1 (00:00):
Elon Musk does it again. Yesterday Americans retreated to an
absolutely incredible spectacle. Heroes. Two astronauts Sonny Williams Butch Wilmore,
who had been stranded on the International Space Station for
(00:21):
nine months since June twenty twenty four marooned, were rescued
by SpaceX, in particular the SpaceX Dragon rocket sent by
Elon Musk. It was a mission that was potentially dangerous.
Those two astronauts had been there marooned for almost over
(00:43):
nine months. Biden had left them stranded, and yet rather
than give up on them and allow them to die,
Trump ordered or asked Elon, in fact requested and basically
ordered him to go and pull off Hollywood style heroic
recovery effort, a rescue operation, and Elon delivered after nine
(01:09):
long months in space. And remember they were only supposed
to be there for eight days, and then Boeing failed,
their equipment failed to work, they failed to rescue them.
Biden refused to let NASA try to work with SpaceX
to pull off a rescue because that would help both
(01:30):
Elon and Trump politically during the election campaign, and so
he let these poor astronauts, Sonny Williams butch Wilmore just
lay there in space and twisting in the wind. Had
it not been for Elon and Trump, they would probably
(01:52):
be dead. Instead, SpaceX Dragon delivered pulled them out of
the space station. They crash landed right off the coast
of Florida, and both of them are alive and well.
They're feeling a little bit under the weather. They have
some health issues being in space for nine months with
(02:13):
all that microgravity is very hard on the body, hard
on the muscles, on the bones, so it will take
some time for them to make a full and complete recovery.
But Trump says once they make that complete recovery, they
will be invited and join him at the White House.
Elon Musk didn't just save these astronauts. After Obama essentially
(02:38):
gutted and eliminated our space Shuttle program, Elon, through the
private sector, with a little help from some government funding,
but for the most part, on his own, through the
private sector, restored America Space program. And now we're not
(02:59):
just rescuing astronauts on the space station. We're dreaming about
returning to the Moon. We're dreaming about actually going to Mars.
Elon Musk is one of the great American innovators and
entrepreneurs and leaders of our time. Whether it's Tesla, whether
(03:19):
it's SpaceX, whether it's Doge and all of the waste,
fraud and abuse that he has uncovered, whether it's the
fact that he's doing all of this in the face
of ferocious, even now violent opposition from Democrats and the
radical left. Elon continues to show. He may be an
(03:40):
immigrant from South Africa like me, a naturalized American, but
he bleeds red, white and blue. Elon Musk is not
just a great businessman, a philanthropist, an innovator, He is
a great American. To Elon for me and so many
(04:02):
Americans for daring to pull off this rescue, and for
saving Sonny Williams and Butch Wilmore, and for everything you've
done for America. Thank you,
