With a Heart and Soul of Memphisten to seventy wd IA, Memphis,
Stormy conversations, stormy conversations, andsay, after after a stormy conversations,

(00:21):
God's speak your mind, speak yourmind? Got something the same? Now
it's the time. It's the time. We can talk about any situation,
situation and the best stormy conversations.A stormy conversation, stormy conversations. We
can talk about any situation and thebest stormy conversations. What's really going on?

(00:53):
Hey, everybody, I'm stormy withyou, and we are here.
Yeah, we are up in here. Y'all got some talking to do on
today because it's a lot going onaround here. And I hope your day,
I hope your what is today Tuesday, May seventh, is going well?
I really do I really really doyou know what? We posted a

(01:15):
picture on the ten seventy WDA pageof some kids, and somebody posted under
there that the kids were probably Samand Dave. I asked the question,
does anyone know who these young boysare and what they're doing? And somebody
said that they were probably Sam andDave. So I was doing a little
reading about them, just in caseyou don't know you know where they were
kids. They actually grew up singingin church together. Yeah, they began

(01:40):
their singing careers with gospel groups. And the picture is just adorable, y'all.
Go see it ten seventy wda RFacebook page. Go and check it
out. Okay, all right, all right, go do that. All
right, y'all, Now listen thisnews today. And I thought maybe this

(02:00):
was something I'd like to share withyou, that something you might you guys
might want to get in on.Nine oh one five three five, nine
three four two eight hundred five zerothree nine three four two eight three three
five three five nine three four twouh. It says Tennessee's worst juvenile criminals
can't age out of punishment thanks toa new blending sentencing y'all, Tennessee lawmakers,

(02:24):
they've sent a blended sentencing bill toGovernor Bill Lee's Deaths that's going to
crack down on lenient punishments for theworst of the worst juvenile offenders by handing
them adult punishments after they age outof the juvenile system. Under the current
law, the juvenile justice system losesjurisdiction over a young offender after his or

(02:49):
her nineteenth birthday. The blended SentencingBill gives serious offenders a maximum of three
to five additional years in adult prisonand if they meet certain negative criteria after
aging out. So if you're seventeenor eighteen years of age, they commit
a violent crime and they're not prosecutedas an adult, by the time that

(03:10):
they turn nineteen, their record iswipe clean. That's what Tennessee House Speaker
Cameron Sexton said, who introduced thisbill. Nobody can see it anymore and
they get a free pass. Butnow under this bill, juvenile suspects sixteen
or older who are found responsive orresponsible rather for the equivalent of adult Class

(03:34):
A B or C felony, canface a blended sentence that includes adult punishment
ranging from probation to prison time aftertheir eighteenth birthday. No blended sentence can
extend beyond the offender's twenty fifth birthday. Young offenders would no longer go scot

(03:54):
free after serving less than two yearsfor a violent crime such as carjacking a
family or you know, at gunpointsex and told uh, Fox News,
Yeah, their digital desk. Yeah, but that's something that's headed to the
governor's desk. Y'all tell me whatyou think about that, w D I
A listeners, if you are inagreement with that, if you think it's

(04:17):
good, I personally think that oneis good. I think that one is
a good one because we see somany times we've seen in a couple of
cases that have happened, especially thelast case where the officer, the officer
was shot. The young man thatwas killed also in that shooting, had

(04:39):
some issues, and you know,we heard a lot about those cases and
how those what happened to that, you know, to young men in certain
situations after they you know, gota certain age, those things don't follow
them when they you know, goto you know, beyond the juvenile justic

(05:00):
system. So yeah, now afterfive years, whatever they do when they're
young, it's gonna follow them.Now that's a new one. It's headed
to the governor's desk. It hasn'thappened yet, but it's headed to the
governor's desk. And it looks likeI just saw some news on the interim
Memphis Police Chief C. J.Davis, she clarified, talked about some

(05:21):
suspects. Y'all, this is somebreaking news. They're saying Orange Mound mass
shooting case. I'm sure you guyshave heard about that one. That one
was talked about all over the country. But at any rate, it looks
like now there's been some arrest, but I'm I think I'm to understand that
there's been no arrest as far aswho was shooting, who was shooting the

(05:45):
guns that killed the two people atthat park, at that Orange Mound shooting,
don't know anything about that, Butyeah, there have been some arrest
made, and we'll keep our eyeson that one. Definitely, definitely keep
our eyes on that, y'all.I did hear some something that I thought
was good news Hamas. Hamas saidyesterday that it had accepted a ceasefire negotiated

(06:09):
by Egypt and Qwatari, but afterreviewing the deal, Israel said it didn't
meet some of the core demands forthe fighting to stop. But maybe that's
a start to some kind of negotiationshappening in the Middle East. Will there
ever be peace in the Middle East? Will there ever be? But that's

(06:31):
I believe the latest on that situationover there. And I don't know if
you guys saw that story y'all wherethe man entered the church and tried to
kill the pastor Now that one scaredme. Scared me. I saw the
video and it just freaked me out. It's on social media where the man
entered the church and tried to walkedup to the pastor while he was actually

(06:57):
talking, and pointed a gun.Pastor started praying, moved out the way,
and then somebody comes from the back. I guess one of the security
or church member came grabbed the man. Anyway, they got him down and
they were able to hold him tothe police got there. Police go to
his house. They found there's adead body in that suspect's home shortly after
m So, yeah, and thatnet gala, y'all. I don't know

(07:21):
if you guys saw some of thepictures, but and I guess you know,
there are years where I see thepictures from the met gala and I
see, you know, how peopleare dressed, and and I guess I
don't always pay attention to them. And I'm sure Lady Gaga has come in

(07:42):
some outfits that maybe were like,oh my goodness, But which you ever
do y'all think it's appropriate to weara towel? Do you think it's appropriate
to wear a towel to the metgala? Because that's what happened one of
the artists. A lot of people, no or two. I don't know
a lot about Doja Cat. Idon't know her music, but I do

(08:03):
know that she actually wore aw atowel, y'all, not a dress,
a towel. And then her secondoutfit was a long, wet T shirt.
So I yeah, okay, y'allgot to hit me up, tell
me what you think about, uh, some of the things we're talking about
today. We're trying to find outwhat's on your mind. Nine O one

(08:24):
five three five nine three four twoeight hundred five zero three nine three four
two A three three five three fivenine three four two w D I A
hello, yes, don agree toyou? Hey Marcus, how you doing.
I'm doing all right good and we'refriends to the middle e. Still,

(08:48):
you know a lot of Christians, you know, we said a lot
of Christians said that those people arethe tools and our gods, right,
they said they our guards too.Was in p people. So unless if
they are gods, twousand people youknow, and me and black folks saying
that's twosan people, because you know, you can't have more than one favorite.

(09:09):
You know what I'm saying, soapparently God have favorites. You know,
this is what they are doing tothose people is really cruel. You
know because in nineteen forty eight, you know, it was in England that
gave them that place. You know, after that World War Two, it
was in England that'd say, youknow what they're going to get. You

(09:31):
know where they wanted to put itfirst. They wanted to put it first.
In Uganda, they wanted to putit to you Ganda, and then
the who were worth it. Hellno, you ain't bringing it down here,
you know what I'm saying. Soyou know, you know, but
these are powerful people talking about youknow, you're talking people who run the
international banking system. You know,so these are not like Mickey mouse people.

(09:54):
You know, these are powerful peopleyou're dealing with. That's why I
see America are quis to what BenjaminNitti Yahu Bien poured him. Hey,
don't do that. He do itanyway, you see, he told him
don't go into Rapha. He wentin there anyway. Say see, they
could do what the hell they wantto do, but me and you better

(10:16):
be care for they take care allright, Marcus? All right, Yeah,
there's there's still some talk. Yeah. Hamas said yesterday it accepted that
ceasefire negotiated by Egypt and Qwatari, and then after reviewing the deal, Israel
said it didn't meet some of thecore demands for the fighting to stop,
and then a short time later,Israel pushed ahead with an assault on the

(10:39):
city of Rafa in the southern Gaza. The acceptance of the ceasefire deal by
Hamas came just hours after Israel orderedthe evacuation of around one hundred thousand Palestinians
from the eastern part of Rafa, signaling that the attack would happen soon.
Sources in the US government are reportedlyexamining if the deal that Mass agreed to

(11:01):
was the same version that Israel hadpreviously approved, or if it had been
changed. Yeah, it's so muchgoing on in that hole in the Middle
East, as I understand it.To me, you know, it's still
kind of the kind of like, you know, I'm one of those people
that believe in I believe in whatthe Bible says. That's just what I

(11:26):
believe. And there's been a fightwith in that in that part of the
country for probably centuries, and soI guess my question, like I said,
will there ever be any peace overthere is only a question maybe God
can answer. But everybody's got opinionsabout it, you know. And then

(11:46):
we've got a lot of a lotof the protesting that's happening at a lot
of the a lot of the campuses. And I saw some news even where
President Biden was talking about, youknow, still trying to work something out
and helping that situation over in theMiddle East. A lot of folks,
I'm sure it's not just him tryingto get in there and help out,
but a lot of people I was. I saw this, uh, this

(12:09):
one, this story circulated so muchon social media that pastor this pastor went
on tamorn. He was on Tammeran'sHall show explaining explaining why he did this
during this service. Y'all listen tothis. Yeah, stop her now.

(12:46):
A lot of people got upset withpastor keyon because you know, he went,
yeah, he went and made thatlady be quiet during that time of
the service. So he was oncam Tameron Hall show and she brought it
up. You know, that's onething I like about Tamerann Hall. I
like the Tameron Hall when it relatesto stories that are happening in our community.

(13:09):
She gonna have a moon, shegonna have a moan. Her and
Cherry, y'all, I'm so glad. We got three black television talk show
hosts. Now. We got CherryShepherd, we got Jennifer Hudson, we
got Tamaron Hall. Y'all. Now, when I saw the video the first
time I saw it, I waslike, it is so easy to post

(13:33):
a video and show a video likethat and not have a context because we
don't know what was going on.I wasn't in the church service. I
don't know what was going on.It is so easy to do that.
But he did have something to sayabout those outbursts in his church. He
did. This is what he toldtammeron Hall. Listen at. This got

(13:54):
the total story. So tell mewhat happened there. You know, social
media is and cuts in our context. Yeah. Uh, And every suggestion
that I got from every nay sayer, I've already done it. This is
a four year battle, right,Oh, this is one. This is
ongoing. So I've already talked toher personally. I've already had ushers go
up to her. I've already hadfreer warriors. I've had everything. So

(14:15):
she did it publicly after being askednot to. What is an emotional broad
you know, as a pastor,I know the difference between disturbance and worship.
And what people have to understand. What people have to understand is that
every time you hear a noise inchurch, it is in worship. Wow.
That was his response to Tameran Hally'all. Uh. But still people,
I guess are still you know,a little bit bother. They've been

(14:37):
yeah, talking about that on socialmedia, uh for the last few days
because I guess it happened this Sunday. But Tamoron was right on it,
Johnny On Scott on the spot, rather she had him on the show.
Let me go to the phone lines, WD, I A hello, Hello,
I am how you doing? Youknow what I'm doing now? Rolling

(15:05):
rolling yes? In reference to thisHarmas and Israel deal, Right, Okay,
ISRAELI need to clean that place out. It's like it's infested with rorists.
And if they stop there and theyhave ISRAELI they're intelligent, have about

(15:31):
the best intelligence, second to probablythe United States and British. For a
way the terrorists are located at andmost of them are probably in that city
on the ground. And if theystop, now that organization is still gonna
be intact. What do you whatorganization you're talking about? Hamas, Harmas

(15:56):
Pa Harmas. The Palestine voted Harmasin they wanted them to be their leader
when they you know, come downto political stop and Israel. Let them
do that, knowing that one daythey're gonna try to get powerful enough to
try to attack Israel. And theydid, of course, and the Palestinian

(16:22):
peoples uh suffering from that. Okay. I don't condone killing women and children.
However, if you're gonna choose aParis organization for your government, that's
what you get. Wow. Nowthat is uh, that's something right there.

(16:45):
That's that's something you can Yeah, because uh, they had the Palestinian
authority of their government, but theyvoted them out in favor of Harmas mm
hmm because they felt like the Palestinianauthority we wasn't standing up to Israel.

(17:07):
But in reference to the protest, and this is what get me. These
are students, Okay, they heldthe right to protest. I remember when
all these people were protesting in Charlotteville, Virginia city, right winger and President
Tramp, I call him my Tramp. He got on television and said,

(17:30):
oh, these are good people,so why are they trainee student like they
bad people? And they get thepeople in Charlotteville who one person got killed,
which was a female, and alsothe attack on their capitol. Those
were good people. So they pickingand choosing who to say who is good
and who is bad. I don'tthink none of them students are bad for

(17:52):
protesting. And that's what I gotto say for today. All right,
Ryan, thank you so much forcalling in. Thank you for your come
in, just to kind of goinginto all of that the way you have.
I appreciate that. W D Ia hello, Hey here you going
strong? Hey, I'm good,Freddie? Are you doing? Oh?
Doing that right? Okay? Withthe preacher, I saw it. I

(18:12):
thought there was a skit when hewent went like when he put put point
of the gun at him, Ithought I thought it was a ski because
the other guy tackled him, andthen the preacher went down there and and
ring he had him in the toko. I'm like, I'm like, this
is a skit that ain't real.Now that's real. But let's think about

(18:33):
this, right, here strong, then I'm gonna get out of here.
I wonder who that was at thehouse then, was his girlfriend or white
man he came up there to cometo him too. Mm hmmm mmmmmm.
You got things like that too.Now you got to think outside the box.
Now he ain't tell you what upthere with my gun A bit that
church, Well, this is whatOkay, listen, this is what some
of the story says. Okay.Court paperwork identified the suspect as Bernard Polite,

(18:56):
who's twenty six of Raddock. Accordingto the criminal complaint, Polite confessed
to police that he tried to shootGermany because God told him to do it,
and then he wanted to go toand he wanted to go to jail
to clear his mind. Shocking, they would police search Polite's home on Sunday

(19:18):
evening. A body was found andthe police said that a man was shot
to death inside. Oh okay, then it's just crazy to us because I
thought, well, imagine this wholething that I thought it was ski because
you know, they do all thisstuff on social media just to get yeah,
yeah, because sometime I read allthe sometime I've been read all the

(19:38):
companies, so I didn't really readnone and kept on rolling. No,
that was the real deal. I'dheard about it, I think before I
saw it. I saw the actualvideo because somebody's got the raw video out
there, and I was like, that man, who he really is talking
to? God? You hear becausethe the man walks up, the young

(19:59):
man walks up to him literally whilehe's preaching, points the gun at him.
He's preaching. Yeah, And thenI guess, well, you know
him for you know who you neverknow who was security in churches and stuff,
but who they put over the moneyof the church, you know,
his paw security. He wined chapwith them. And then I thought the
preacher was gonna scallop, you know, growing out of there. You know

(20:19):
he went down there. Say heforgive them too. Now that what they
said too. I heard about thatpartly say he forgive them. Oh wow,
Yeah, I'm with that, becausewhat are you gonna hold on to?
Pastor probably didn't even know him,Nah, I didn't even know him.
Yeah, we just on. Wedidn't gonna pray for the brother.
They got somewhere for him though, yeah yeah, uh yeah, yeah.

(20:44):
What do you think about these youngpeople? Now? They won't be able
to escape those juvenile uh they're juvenilecrimes. They're gonna they're talking about a
bill that's getting ready to head tothe governor's desk. So now it's gonna
be harder for them to commit crimeand say, you know, get it
wiped out when they're eighteen. Well, we're gonna be We're gonna build build
a bigger jail. That's what they'regonna have to do because there's our commune

(21:07):
crimes now teenagers and like you said, they're getting off of before they turn
eighteen, so they're gonna have todo something better because it's gonna only get
worse. So yeah, I think, I think, I think, I
think that'll be a good plan. You know, like especially if you rape
or kill somebody, kajacking, killing, going on, involved in it,
I believe you should be punished andnot just tapped on the hand, can

(21:30):
get your record right clean and thengo home living like everybody else that's trying
to do right in society. Yeah, I don't think, I don't think.
I don't think they was fred ofus, So yeah, I think
they should bound them on over.Yeah, yeah, it's headed to Thank
you, Freddie. I appreciate youcalling in. Uh, yeah, that
one's headed to the governor's desk. You guys, Tennessee lawmakers, they've sent

(21:51):
that blending sentence and bill to GovernorBilly's desk. That's gonna crack down on
lenient punishments for the worst of theworst juvenile offenders by handing them adult punishments
after they go out of the juvenilesystem. Yeah, what they do,
those crimes are gonna follow them. Now, all right, y'all, we'll

(22:15):
be back in a moment, andwe're back ten seven y w d I
A nine oh one five three fivenine three four two eight hundred five zero
three nine three four two eight threethree five three five nine three four to
two. Okay, my sister Marysaid, uh, my sister in Milwaukee,

(22:37):
not the one in Texas. Shesays she didn't like what the bastard
did. She didn't like it.But listen, this, this is this
is kind of what happened in service. Right. So they're having a moment.
It's supposed to be quiet in theservice, and then one person is
uh, I guess she's she's havinga moment. You know, she's having
a moment in the service. I'mnot sure why she's having a moment.

(23:10):
But I know pastor Pastor Kean.He said, this is Shawnie O'Neill's husband.
Yeah, stop her. So hetold Tammaron Hall. He was on
the tammeron Hall Show. He said, I have talked to her before about
this. They've talked about this. It's not a this is not a first
occurrence. But y'all, I've beengoing to church for a long time and

(23:36):
I've seen some I was in churchone Sunday and man got up in church
and he yelled out and the pastorsaid, ah, not today, not
up in here. And I guessa pastor would kind of be like,
in my opinion, kind of likea referee. If it's your house and

(23:57):
you're responsible for it, you gotto make a call about if you know
what I'm saying. Y'all understand whatI'm saying. It's like it's in your
house. Somebody shows up in yourhouse and they're you know, the pastor
is supposed to be the head ofthat house. A lot of people on
social media didn't like it. Alot of folks didn't like it, and
uh, some people said, Inow I disagree. One person said,

(24:22):
well, Paul did it in Actssixteen seventeen through nineteen. Acts Chapter sixteen
seventeen through nineteen. The Bible says, test the Spirit by sit by the
Spirit. As soon as he calledher out, she got quiet. Same
thing as what happened in that story. The Holy Spirit doesn't even doesn't have
an on off switch. Yeah,uh so, I'm not y'all tell me

(24:51):
what y'all think about that. Y'allhit me up, let me know.
Nine oh one five three five, nine three four two eight hundred five zero
three nine three four two eight threethree five three five nine three four two,
And tell me what you think aboutthis new bill that's been proposed here
in Tennessee. Tennessee lawmakers they've spentthey've sent rather this blended sentencing bill to

(25:11):
Governor Billy's desk, and it's goingto crack down on lenient punishments for the
worst of the worst juvenile offenders.Yeah, by handing them adult punishments after
they age out of the juvenile system. Now, under the current law,
the juvenile justice system loses jurisdiction overa young offender after his or hears nineteenth

(25:36):
birthday. Their sentence is gone.So the blended Sentencing bill gives the serious
offenders a maximum of three to fiveadditional years in adult prison if they meet
criteria or certain negative criteria. Afteraging out, young offenders would no longer

(25:57):
go scot free. So a lotof the you know, young folks that
we've been seeing getting it going inand out of jail, just in and
out of jail, in and outof jail, especially the worst of the
worst. They say, that's gonnathis is gonna come to an end.
Yeah, so y'all tell me whatyou think about that. I was checking
that out, even listening to thatstory locally where it looks like they've made

(26:23):
an arrest in Orange Mound. AndI'm still trying to figure out too,
what in the world was going on. What's been going on at Happy Mexican.
I'm seeing all the videos and pictureson social media, and I was
just why. I saw a videotoday and it looked like a party going

(26:45):
on over there and it was outside, so maybe it was a school reunion
or what was going on. Somaybe somebody will hit me up and tell
me about that too, Happy Mexican. I don't know if y'all saw the
pictures on social media, I sawa lot of people talking about it and
saw a lot of the pictures andthen I saw some video. So I
don't know if it was, youknow, like I said, an after

(27:06):
school gathering, or if it wasa maybe a school reunion get together.
But Baybae, I know the peopleover there were happy because it was it
looked like it was hundreds of folksin the happy Mexican Park a lot,
just hundreds of people out there lookinglike they were having a wonderful time.
So I don't know if you guysgot a chance to see that on social

(27:30):
media, and like I said,go to ten seven d WDA, check
out the picture that is posted. One viewer or one person that went to
our social media page said that thepicture, it's two young boys WDA is
in the background and on the microphone, and they looked like they were singing.
It probably were they're probably singing it. One of the listeners said it

(27:53):
was Sam and Dave. I believeit probably was. That's probably that probably
was Sam and day after I lookedup. You know, they've been singing
since they were kids, little kidsat that so born in nineteen thirty five,
and there's a beautiful picture and letme say this to doctor. President

(28:15):
Glenda Glover down at TSU posted apicture a video on our social media.
She did something that I thought waspretty amazing. You guys, President Glenda
Glover, TSU president. She giftedthe graduating class of TSU. Every last
one of them got a fifty dollarbill, fifty dollars in cash. So

(28:41):
they posted the video on social media. Those kids are happy. This is
the graduating class of twenty twenty four. You know, I was surprised to
see TSUE a lot of white studentsgraduating from TSU. Pretty awesome. All

(29:11):
the students in the background that youhear, Yeah, they got an envelope
with a fifty dollar bill inside ofthem. So shout out to President Glenda
Glover straight out of Memphis, blessingthose young folks. And I think this
is her last year at TSU.I think this is her last year.

(29:33):
So a lot of people just basicallysaying that was so sweet, congratulations to
those students. And here I wasjust taking a back yard. I'm watching
a lot of the met gallon,a lot of folks that went to attend
that gala on last night, y'all, and I'm watching all the videos and
Cardi B showed up in address thatwas so big. The dress was so

(29:55):
big it probably would fill a room, that's how big it was. Took
twelve men to carry her dress in. You know what I didn't know when
you go to met Gala, youhave to walk up a lot of steps
with no you know, because there'sno railing. So Gail King was actually
practicing walking up the steps before shewent, Yeah, that's what you have

(30:17):
to you get a certain age,you got to do some practice and you
gotta make sure you go up thosesteps and don't fall. And probably has
been some people that have gone upthose met Gala steps and fail. Because
women, you know how we gotthose We got our heels on because we're
gonna wear them. And I wasjust watching Gail practicing trying to get up
those steps and the steps might nothave been as high as the ones she

(30:37):
was traveling on, but sometimes yougot to you know, you don't want
to, Yeah, you don't wantto be the person that goes to the
Galla or any event and falls. You don't want that to be you.
And Gail King said, no,that's that's not Yeah, that ain't what
I want for myself, but Ireally do want to hear what y'all think,
ladies, and I want to postthe pictures of dojacat y'all. She

(30:59):
came in at howel, literally thatwas all. She was wearing a towel,
had a towel on a head anda towel on her body, and
I thought, what in the worldis she wearing a lot of folks saw
it, and they were thinking, you know, a lot of people you
know, had this or that tosay, a lot of people said,
well, you know, Lady Gagadid the same, you know things.

(31:22):
I don't know if Lady Gaga dressedlike that, but I do remember Lady
Gaga with some interesting outfits on backin her day. I do remember that,
and I'm sure y'all remember that too. But yeah, watching all of
the celebrities and everything they had towear or had on for the met gal,
I did not see Beyonce. I'vebeen looking for pictures that didn't see

(31:45):
Beyonce at first, didn't see Cardib A lot of folks. She was
one of the anticipated ones to showup. She made it there. Jennifer
Lopez was there, Naomi Campbell Usherwas there looking good. There were a
lot of black actors and actresses thatwere at the event this year, and

(32:06):
it looked like it was and itlooked like it was a nice event.
I mean, I don't know muchabout it except for knowing that a lot
of celebrities attended. Let me see, I was looking at a moment ago
some of the what the theme wasand what some of the folks said about
the met Gala. Yeah, it'sone of those events we hear about every

(32:29):
year. And again, the themethis year for the twenty twenty four met
Gala was Sleeping Beauties Awakening Fashion. That's why a lot of the girls had
on the dresses that they had andthose sleeping beauty kind of outfits that they
had on for this year, becausethe theme changes every year. And if

(32:51):
you go to our ten to seventyw DIA facebook page, you'll see where
on the page you'll actually see CardiB's dress and how big that train of
her dress is and how it's allthe way around the dress. And it
took, like I said, aboutseven people, No, it was about

(33:12):
twelve, about twelve people to carrythat dress in when she went into the
gala this year. I was watchinga picture you guys. I don't know
if y'all have seen the picture ofis it bust to Rhymes? I believe
it's bust to Rhymes. He's losta lot of weight. I don't know
if I told you guys about this, and I'm not saying what he did

(33:32):
to lose weight, but I knowa lot of people are using o zimpic,
a lot of people are using well, you know, whatever they're deciding
to use. But bust to Rhymesused to be big. He is no
longer big. He is a littleman now. So yeah, he looks
really good too. I think Imight post that one too on our ten
to seventy WDA facebook page to seewhat y'all think about that. Yeah,

(33:57):
Okay, time is running out.If you want to call me, go
ahead and do it now. NineO one five three five nine three four
two eight hundred five zero three ninethree four two eight three three five three
five nine three four two. Iam happy about this new bill. I
don't know about you, but I'mhappy that something is going to be done
to help out as it relates toour city, because a lot of us

(34:20):
have been asking for something to bedone and for something to change, and
this new bill is going to changea lot of things. I don't know
what the answer is for our youngkids. I really don't. I wish
I did, because if I did, I would definitely tell the mayor or
somebody WD I a hello, Hey, howin going starting? Hey? Coming
man? What's going on? Areeverything's all right? I want to ask

(34:43):
you what were you saying about somebodywas arrested in Orange Man, when you're
referring to the shooting at the park. Yes, they said there has been
an arrest, but it wasn't theshooters, Uh huh, okay, but
maybe somebody connected to it. Yeah, they said, there's a teen has
been arrested facing a list of chargesafter a Memphis crimes free But now that's

(35:07):
not related to that situation. Butthere have been some arrests made after that
Orange Mound shooting, she said ChiefCJ. Davis, or this was Councilwoman
Jerry Green. I guess she askedChief CJ. Davis a question, but
she said, I don't want toget too deep into the investigation. That's
what Chief Davis says. She said, the arrest that we've made are made

(35:30):
for other charges. That's what shetold the council want to charges other charges,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay. And about now, I'm kind
of like some of the people thatmaybe over over online or whatever, I'm
kind of wondering, like, howdo you tell somebody to stop if they're

(35:52):
having a spiritual moment? You know, I got to look at it from
that perspective. Can get the spiritin you is you know, you don't
have to troller it, you know. And so that's happening about that,
And as far as the youngster's beinguh sentenced to more time, I would
agree with that because if you're committingthese valent haneous crimes, you deserve punishment.

(36:15):
And it's been if you're just arepeat offend. Though, But what
I would wish, what I wouldreally wish though, if they could get
some of these kids when they're younglike that and do something to get them
a different man set, because youpunish them by locking them up, true
enough, but you don't help themif you don't help them with any counter
of rehabilitation or anything to touch theirman you know, excited logical help,

(36:39):
you know. So yeah, that'sthat's my take on the throw storm.
Yeah, it's it's uh, it'sinteresting, but We've been talking about a
lot, common man, and it'sjust as interesting. And it's kind of
sad too that we see so manyof our young people getting in trouble and
then you know, like yeah, and then, like I said, sometimes
when they go into uh when theyhad passed nineteen or get nineteen and above,

(37:04):
if they've done something we never know. I'm gonna tell you, I
have a nephew that's in prison now'vebeen in prison for I guess maybe the
last three to four years, thathas a life sentence, and what he
did is absolutely unbelievable. I wouldbe so sick to my stomach if it
was one of my children that haddone with the dyne, you know.

(37:25):
And so I hate to see thekids getting caught in that trap. I
hate to see them doing what they'redoing. But at the same time,
you be deserved punishment. You deservepunishment. Yeah, you know, you
do the crime, you got todo the time. Yeah, all right,
starman, all right, thank you, coming man. Yeah, I

(37:45):
agree. I wish they could getsome help too. And I don't know
what the you know, that's agood question to ask, and maybe I'll
reach out to one of the judgesand have him on the pulse and ask
because that's a longer form, andjust you know, ask them what are
we doing in our systems? Youknow, when they do go to the

(38:05):
juvenile system, what are we doing. Are we trying to do something to
you know, correct their behavior,to get them going in the right direction.
And I guess you know, youwould think if the child is locked
up, that would be a deterrent, you know, just the fact that
they're behind bars. But maybe forsome kids it might be their way to

(38:29):
get a good meal. Unfortunately, you know, I've heard of some men
that have been locked up in prisonthat when they get out, they have
a hard time adjusting to you know, real life. I was watching a
documentary about that and about how therewas a program or something in that documentary

(38:52):
where they're trying to help people thatyou know, had been locked up in
prison because that prison mentality stays withthem for so long because that's where they've
been. So for some of them, when they get out, they're so
lost in society that they want togo right back in. W d I

(39:14):
A hello, hey, yeah, you know they had just siglement on a
couple of days ago. There wasthis money one or the other day.
Well, yeah, I believe itwas a couple of days ago. Yeah,
I was trying to get on theradio getting touched with him. I
think that they need to try toset up a boot camp. But the

(39:37):
juvenile court when they get those guysin their depicture and uh, trying to
straighten them up when they get themin there. You know, uh,
you know, I've seen a commercial. Uh they talking about on the news
how many guys had locked up thereand they had lined up in their orange
uniform and I was looking down attheir foot they had on. Everybody had

(39:59):
their white sox on and they hadflip flops. And I said, man,
these guys just lounging around playing videogame work TV all day. You're
talking about it, and uh,and you're talking about you saw some pictures
or some videos of the young menin juvenile attention or juvenile jail. Yeah,
and the phrases, you know, they just show up the body with

(40:20):
the one uniform. Everybody had thesame one uniform and they had the same
flip flop like thing. I said, man, I'm got to need some
boots and the working out of doit's still loud without playing video games and
watching TV all day. Yeah, some kind of boot camping there and uh,
mater straighten them guys, look whilethey gathered in there. I think

(40:44):
that's a good idea. I think, thank you so much for calling in
that said, that's a good idea. But will they do it? W
D I a hello, Hey,Hey, how are you? I'm good?
How were you? Well? Ijust wanted to speak of the theory.
Uh huh, when the spirit hitsyou, it's really not telling where

(41:05):
it hits you at, or whereare you're gonna be at or however,
because I had been in the grocerystore shopping, honey, and they hit
me and tears went everywhere. Peoplewas asking me how, people was asking
me was I all right? AndI felt kind of crazy because it was
uncontrollable. But this lady was inchurch. She used to shout every Sunday,

(41:28):
every Sunday, and she used towear the same dress every Sunday.
She was they called a shouting John, and so she would just shouting.
So everybody had got used to hershouting, right, So one Sunday she
testified about what she was shouting about. She had six children by six different
men, and honey, she hadmet her man, and Lord, she

(41:54):
had met the man, and Iguess she had been dating way she was
shouting. But how then when shetestified that Sunday the man had married her,
and she said all six of herchildren had six different daddy. Hmm,
now six up her cheerdren had onedaddy and honey, the whole church

(42:15):
was a flowing wow. That's somethingthat is so you never know, you
never know, you never know.Thank you so much for calling in and
sharing that. Thank you. Allright? You know what, I'm gonna
tell you something when you when youhear about somebody else's blessing that people get
blessed like that, it blesses youbecause uh, and not the way I

(42:35):
look at it now. I usedto sometimes be like, Lord, why
why why why not me? NowI'm like shouting and thanking God that somebody
else got it because I feel likeI'm next w D I A hello,
Hello, damn good? How areyou? I'm doing fine? Good?

(42:57):
One? A quick comment concerning thisbill concerned the juveniles. You meant this
something maybe a month or so ago. Now I'm all for a legislation,
you know, because you need legislationto help hold crimics accountable but from the
stack sometimes, or why juveniles dowhat they do. I just want to
touch on that. You mentioned somethingmaybe a month ago concerning twitoring a young

(43:21):
girl and you mentioned how she Idon't know if you realize how powerful that
moment was, but you staid toact her if she was okay, she
told you. I'll bet that ifshe shold you that, the reason pretty
much she was acting the way shewas was because she was in pain.
Yeah, she showed you her footsometimes even though yeah, people know better,

(43:46):
But a lot of times these youngpeople are in so much pain and
they turned to whatever life that theysee, and oftentimes they listen to rap
music and whatever the music tells them, they emulated. So a lot of
I just believe that when it comesto you know, you gotta again,

(44:06):
you've got to have legislation. Butif you really want to curb this stuff,
it starts in the home, anda lot of the stuff that they
go through and they're doing it startsit's because their experience charming a home and
they're acting out. But a lotof times we don't want to see that.
But a lot of this stuff it'sgonna start. It's gonna be solved
by parents doing what they're supposed todo and listening and penalty to what they

(44:30):
are doing to their kids, becausethey're gonna act out. Yeah, they're
gonna act. Some of us don't, but many of them real and whatever
they seat themselves, that's what they'regonna do. Say, yeah, thank
you so much for calling in.Yeah, it's unfortunate, but sometimes yeah
you yeah, you yeah. Sometimesit's deeper. It goes a little bit

(44:52):
deeper than what we think, y'all. W d I A l O.
All right, we're gonna move onfrom that college. W D A Hello.
How are you today? You don'tgood? This is done? Peple,
Hey done. Hey, Look,I'm gonna make a quick come in
and I'm gonna I'm gonna hit itand quit it. About that boot About

(45:12):
that boot camp, Uh, theythey tried that boot camp deal, uh
back in the late nineties early Ithink they cut it, maybe early two
thousand, they had their boot campprogram. Instead of sending the juveniles to
jail, they would send them outto uh lock them up. If I'm
not mistaken, it was either thenaval thing that's on Jackson Avenue there or

(45:35):
the military base in Millings and insteadof going to jail, it was more
like you It's like they were setup like a boot camp style situation.
Now they were some of them, they were real, real, you know,
hard on you to the point thatit really rehabilitated them for it.
Did it actually taught them to uh, to be more morelite I you know

(46:00):
then uh, you know, todthem manners, really get really punishing them,
punishing them for the crime. Ittaught them to be more I wish.
I guess you can call it someform of rehabilitation because it worked for
some, but it didn't work foras many of them as they thought it
would, and they stopped it.Oh wow wow, thank you so much
for calling in and telling me that, hey, we've come to the end

(46:22):
of the show. You guys.I'll try to catch you guys and if
I can record you, get youon. But that's going to do it
for today's show. I'm here tillseven, though, Keep that radio on
ten seven. D w d IA
