Speaker 1 (00:01):
I remember when Mother's Day was coming around and I
was talking about it, and I talked about it a lot,
and Jackson said, I wonder what people are going to
do when Father's Day comes around. He said, it pretty
much just like that. So Father's Day is coming up.
Y'all know that Sunday, right, And I just want you
guys to be ready, be prepared. Father's Day is coming.
(00:25):
Take care of your daddy or that man you called daddy.
You know what I'm saying. Okay, okay, I'm sorry, no,
but seriously, Father's Day is coming, and I'm just wondering,
have you gotten your father, your father a gift? Have
you done anything? Do you plan to do anything? Because dads,
(00:46):
they don't just want words like you were always there
for me. You always supported my dreams. You always kept
your word. Now, but some men probably do want a
really nice hard But I'm just curious, fellas y'all try
to getting socks and ties. Don't y'all want something different?
(01:08):
Don't y'all want to be a pampered Don't y'all want
I saw a gift on social media that I was like,
Oh my goodness, is a game changel? This might be
the Father's Day gift right here, especially for the men
who liked to grill. I saw what was I think
it was called a grill cleaner, a grill gidget, something
(01:31):
like that, where you're supposed to put that thing on
the grill and it cleans the grill, and Daddy don't
have to do game changer game changer. So I just
wanted to throw that out. Dad might want action an
actual gift. He may not want to hear I love you, Dad,
Or get a soft card or sweet card with a
(01:54):
picture of a black man on the front of it.
Roses are red, violence or blue. You're the best, Dad,
and I love you. He don't want it. I mean,
I don't know. Uh you may want to ask you that,
but I do wonder sometimes do men? Are y'all tired
of ties and socks? I bet you got a bunch
(02:17):
of socks, but I don't know. Maybe y'all really do
need socks. Maybe that's why socks is a really good gift.
And ties. Maybe y'all really do need socks and ties. Hey, Hey,
I'm just trying to help y'all out. Okay, don't shoot
the messenger. But to all of you that plan to
do something for dad. It is this Sunday, by the way,
okay today? Is there anything special Donald Duck's birthday? Mm hmm,
(02:42):
y'all don't care, don't worry about it, forget about forget
I's said that. Now back to me, I do. Yeah,
How come y'all and tell me MT you've been tapping
that app and sending me messages and stuff. How come
you didn't tell me? Money Bag? Yo didn't know? Cash
eight forty two No more, y'all know. Have y'all ever
been to Cache forty two? Let me tell you some
(03:03):
Cache forty two is the club. Well, it's a restaurant
and it's supposed to be kind of like an upscale restaurant.
My girlfriend went, I never went, and I'm sad to
say that I didn't, but I just never got around
to it. But at any rate, they posted something on
social media, tag money Bag, and he said, let me
tell y'all something right now, I ain't got nothing to
(03:23):
do with that place no more. That's what he said.
Money Backer said, I ain't got nothing to do with
that place, and stop tagging me, which makes me wonder
did he ever have I mean, what really did he
have to do with it in the first place, did
somebody because I know this happens. I know what happens
a lot of times, and y'all may not know this,
but this is what happens. Sometimes people get money right
(03:45):
and they start a business. They go to a celebrity
and they get the celebrity to sign off on it
and say, hey, this's yours. You know what I'm saying,
so they can get the hype behind all of it,
when the celebrity really did never, you know, have any
to do and then he just let him use his
name and that, you know what I'm saying. So I
don't know. I'm wondering, did money bag Yo ever have
(04:05):
anything to do with that with Cache forty two in
the first place. I don't know. But anyway, he posted
that on social media. You want the world to know
that was not his spot anymore. And go to ten
seventy w DIA when you get time and check out
that video that Joe Soto from our sister station in
Chicago posted a video and I shared it on our
(04:26):
ten to seventy double your DIA page of Grace Jones.
Y'all not gonna believe if you haven't seen that video already,
you need to go. And Grace Jones looks amazing. She
looks amazing. Anyway, Happy Monday, everybody. It is stormy conversations
(04:49):
and we got some things to talk about, so let's
let's get on in to them. Did y'all hear I
don't know if you have anything to say about that
Tennessee prison riot. Mm hm, Tennessee's largest correctional center. There
was a rise that broke out on yesterday. The Trilesdale
(05:11):
County Sheriff was talking about it. More than seventy state
troopers were deployed to help with the perimeter security at
the Trilesdale Turner Correctional Center in Hartville. Now, prisoners reportedly
overtook officers inside of that prison and started fires in
the trash can in the prison yard. They say nobody
(05:34):
was hurt, and I guess now it's under control. But
y'all that one right there, I think they got everything
back under control. And I'm wondering what were they rioting about?
What was happening that had them so upset? So I'm
gonna dig off into that and see what I can
find out and let y'all know. Okay, And a couple
(05:54):
of questions for today follow you. Okay, I got a
listener email, so i'mone read that to you in a second.
But I want to ask you if you guys heard
about that longtime high school basketball coach in Atlanta. M
he was fired. Yep, he's a fire. There's video of
(06:17):
him doing something that, in my opinion, isn't sinister, but
you may think different. Okay, So here's the story. Longtime
basketball coach Columbia High School in Atlanta. He was fired
after he allegedly spanked some of the players on their
(06:40):
bottoms with a shoe. Now, according to WSBTV, doctor Philip
McCrary isn't your ordinary coach. First off, Okay, he was
the coach though, they say, had a gym name after him,
(07:00):
with hundreds of winds under his belt. And word is
a parent of a former player who's no longer at
the school brought the issue to the school personnel with
video footage. Ah, and that one may have ultimately led
to this man getting terminated. Okay. The parents basically said,
when I saw it, I was heartbroken. So the parents
(07:24):
said that the video is from November when the team
was down in the Bahamas for a tournament. Mccrairie told
one of the players to pull down, pull his pants down,
and then whacked him several times on the backside with
his shoe. Then he said, why is it happening? And
the player responds because I invited a girl up to
(07:48):
the room. Another player who was also hit with a shoe,
you know, on the behind. The mother said her son
felt the courage to come forward after leaving the school,
missed of the situation, took a toll on his mental
health because he was in a room and witnessed what
had happened. A spokesperson for the school district said that
(08:10):
they couldn't come in on the personal you know, personnel matters,
but did let it be known that McCrary is no
longer an employee at the district on Monday. Now, I
don't know how y'all feel about this, but I I mean,
it's not my child either, So I don't know if
i'd be upset if a coach spank to my child
(08:33):
for having a child in a room and we're on
a they were on a trip in the was it Bahamas?
Speaker 2 (08:39):
Didn't I say?
Speaker 1 (08:40):
The Bahamas in the Bahamas, and you have to have
total responsibility for those kids. So I really want to
know what y'all think about that. Is he wrong for
spanking those kids? Now, maybe he shouldn't have done it,
but those kids had no right to have a girl
(09:02):
in the room when you off on a trip in
the Bahamas with a bunch of boys, and y'all know
what a young boys do trying to keep them out
of trouble. That's how I see it. Now, y'all might
see somebody else might see it differently. So y'all, you know,
hit me up telling me. Should that coach have been fired?
(09:24):
Tell me what you think about it? Should he have
been fired?
Speaker 3 (09:28):
Now?
Speaker 1 (09:29):
Let me go to this email. Just a reminder, ladies
and gentlemen, Father's Day is around the goner. Okay, Happy
early Father's Day to all the father's out there. Your
day is coming, and I mean that in the nicest way.
It's gonna be amazing. All Right. I got an email
(09:52):
from someone, okay, and it's called situation Ship. Let me
start off by giving you a little bit of background.
I got married in twenty seventeen and things were so great.
In twenty twenty one, things changed the five year itch.
(10:14):
My husband came home one particular day and said that
he doesn't want to be married anymore, and he just
did a three sixty on me. Okay, so he did
a three sixty on him. So I continued to stay
(10:34):
but was trying to, you know, also work it out.
But he was not willing. He started saying, uh, staying
out at late and then boom, my husband suffered a
traumatic brain injury due to a motorcycle accident. Okay, so
he wanted a divorce complete three sixty then won't be
(10:55):
married no more. But she was trying to stay in
and help him out it at any rate. He suffered
a traumatic brain injury, okay, had a motorcycle accident. He
was helpless with no family to assist, only me. My
mom and dad helped him, of course, being treated too
badly before this happened, I wanted to be mad and evil,
(11:20):
but I couldn't do him like that because that's not
the person I was. I cared for him until he
got well. He couldn't walk, talk, or anything, so he
had to do rehab and my dad stayed with him.
Now that's a good her dad is a good man.
Sounds like she's a good woman. Her dad's a good person.
(11:43):
He stayed with him in the rehab every night till
he got out. Then my mom took him to appointments
and cared for him while I worked. Wow, that's awesome.
You got a caring family, honey, m you do do.
Let's see, I'm trying to let me get back to
(12:03):
where I was because I just lost my spot and
the mom took care of him while she worked. Okay,
fast forward to now. He didn't comfort me after my
mom passed in twenty twenty three. Plus, he wasn't even
being appreciative of anything, just grumpy and full of you
know what. I later got tired of it, the rage
(12:26):
and the ungratefulness. I left in March of twenty twenty four,
and we have done some hookups on you know but
I recently have cut it off because he has gotten
involved with another lady and trying to have his cake
and eat it too, and I'm not having it. He
(12:47):
is text on three different occasions, but I'm done. I
feel like I'm not important to him and nor our
nine year old son. Silence is how I'm moved. And
we're going through a divorce currently too, and I wish
things were different, but they're not. I just need a
(13:08):
little advice on how I should handle this or us
this is a good way to do it. That's what
she feels like. He sends one hundred dollars a week
for our son, but he doesn't reach out unless I'm
giving away the goodies. Just need some advice from my wisdom,
(13:29):
wise women and men. All right, I got something to
say about it, but I'm gonna let y'all talk first.
So I'm gonna go through the phones and see what
you guys are talking about today. All right, let's let's
dig in, y'all. All Right, here we go. W D
I A hello, what's upst Hey? I can't call it
(13:49):
chucks happening with you?
Speaker 2 (13:51):
You better call it.
Speaker 4 (13:52):
I'm back in town, girl. I've been been to a
really nice place. So I went to Charlotte, North Carolina,
and I got something to say about Memphis. Memphis need
to catch up, man, I've been recently. I've been to Dayton, Ohio, Dallas, Texas,
and Charlotte within a within like a month and a
half two month time. And Memphis is not anywhere near
(14:14):
as far as growth cleanliness activities that their entire downtown
was bombing. I mean, I was there this weekend. It
was boy, you couldn't go nowhere, and they building and
I'm just saying Memphis, Memphis need to be ashamed. And
I just you know, it has to do with a
lot of things, but I wanted to just put that
(14:35):
out there. People who travel, I'm sure they come back
and say, Memphis just.
Speaker 5 (14:39):
Has not got it all. Right.
Speaker 4 (14:41):
Let me tell you about this man and the wife.
She needed to leave him alone, get on down because
he gonna get his. Because it's one thing to be
ungrateful and so forth, but then when somebody need when
you need somebody, and they're there for you.
Speaker 6 (15:02):
And and I'm talking about that.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
I'm a man, you know, I'm a man.
Speaker 4 (15:04):
Uh you know, they Mama and them say it's a
right way and the wrong way to do everything. And
this man, this this woman stood by him, and I
commend her and I commend her family.
Speaker 5 (15:15):
And uh, he's just he's.
Speaker 4 (15:17):
Ungrateful and he will get his eventually.
Speaker 5 (15:21):
That's all I can tell you, you know, So you
have a wonderful day.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
I appreciate judge.
Speaker 6 (15:29):
Yeah, right, and can tell memph to catch up back
because they behind.
Speaker 5 (15:33):
I don't know what to take.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
I don't know what to say about message.
Speaker 4 (15:37):
Have a good day girl.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
All right, y'all, thank you so much for chiming in.
Speaker 2 (15:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
I don't know what to say about Memphis. I saw
justin J. Pearson and the press conference that they did today.
They trying to get x A I. You know, I
believe it started with x AI, but now it's moved
on because they I think they said it was some
other companies that they're talking about that's polluting the air
around here, that's got them concern too. Okay, listen, uh
(16:06):
let's see. Yes he is wrong. Yes, he should have
been fired. Pulling down your pants, no, sister, that's what
she says. Okay, yeah, I mean that part right there
is a little a little interesting. But they needed a whooping,
kids needed a whooping. Nah. He maybe you shouldn't have
done that. You shouldn't make the pulls down pants down?
(16:29):
But them, I mean, come on, you send your kids
off somewhere to have somebody take care of them, and
they got girls in the room. Come on now, and
maybe it was just maybe it wasn't you know what
it looked like it was. Maybe it was just a joke,
you know what I'm saying. I mean, I don't know
I don't know WD I hello, Hello, Hello, Hey I
(16:57):
am if.
Speaker 7 (17:00):
This is my push up popstucle number one oh.
Speaker 6 (17:11):
One.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
Now see you about to speak? Uh, mister Henry, I
tell you the truth.
Speaker 7 (17:18):
Yes, mister Hemmert is my guy. I don't care what
nobody say.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
That's my guy.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
I'm trying to tell you. Hey, Prince Chamals, how are you.
I've been missing you.
Speaker 7 (17:34):
I've missed you as well as thank you for being
so nice and time stormy. Uh yeah, gentlemen, first of all,
let me see good afternoon to you, Good afternoon, and
good afternoon to your call and listener. Let me pick
it back on to get him, and just got off
the phone. I don't know what's mean. What was the
guy who just.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
Got off Chuck the phone?
Speaker 8 (17:54):
Hey Chuck?
Speaker 2 (17:54):
How you doing?
Speaker 7 (17:55):
Brother Chuck did not love when he talked about Memphis
and visiting that cousin city. I recently just got back
from my end and I was down on Southeast and
every weekend there was some type of event that was
taking place. And I don't be honest with you, sawing
me throughout the week, there was something always taking place.
Speaker 4 (18:14):
And that beautiful city.
Speaker 7 (18:15):
I love my hand. It's a beautiful city and I
just love the people of the Culting. But he is
absolutely right. They keep their city clean. So let me
say that they had their share crime. Then they were
no different when it came to the prime. But there
were always something that was taking place in the city.
I just enjoyed myself. I had an opportunity to go
(18:35):
to a vegan festival, and I don't know if people
would know how to beat, but they had. They had
these wagons, the truck wagons or the food trucks, and
he was serving a vegan food. And then I had
an opportunity to himself for the vegan food. But at
the same token, they had music plan and you can
sit there and watch them listen to the music, piece
(18:56):
of food, and had the ocean and I'd be on.
No one got out of line.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
Now you know, we just had a vegan fest in
our city too.
Speaker 7 (19:05):
I did I know this. I was gone, so I
would I would not know this.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
Oh okay, okay.
Speaker 7 (19:10):
But but I'm glad. I would love it.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
Now.
Speaker 7 (19:13):
I'm not a big vegan person, but just a sample
of the different food truck, I'm like, you know what,
I did taste and everything, But the guy was absolutely
one spot on nowt me. You were talking about the
the young lady and her husband. You made that mention.
I thought about the movie Doler Perry Diary of a
(19:35):
Mad Black Woman. Everything. You basically said, what what was
happening in the movie was happening to this woman. Absolutely,
That's why they called me the movie cause the air.
But there was if I was giving her any cat suggestion,
I would tell her go ahead and tack a bag
that she hadn't already tacked her he was thinking about leaving,
(19:56):
to go ahead and and call it off to call
he did. He he messed up not hers, this family
because he was out there in the street. He met
something with Bimbo and she blew his mind this time.
And uh, and that's what happened. And I I tell
people it's not It may not always be greener on
the other side of the field of the fence. So
(20:19):
you got to be careful. But if she's bless me,
go ahead and pack your bags. God has said something
up for you next time.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
A well, she's already left, Prince Charles.
Speaker 6 (20:28):
She last cool.
Speaker 1 (20:29):
But but here's the deal. He doesn't want to have
anything to do with her or the child unless she
giving up something. So basically she stepped back.
Speaker 7 (20:38):
No no, no, no, no, no, she need to go.
Don't give him Nathan nothing. Just keep it moving and
let him go out there in the streets where he
was and continue to do what he was doing.
Speaker 9 (20:50):
Now.
Speaker 7 (20:50):
Need to stop missing his water because it's well the
red dry, so it wasn't her fault. So no, young lady,
keep it moving over your group because he don't know
you and the last of kind of things. So I mean, uh,
you know me. I love my movie movies and all
that good stuff. I don't know if you had a
chance to see Straw.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
I haven't seen it yet.
Speaker 7 (21:09):
To see it, I've been telling each and everything watch
you story. When you do, let's talk about it because
I guarantee this is one of the best calitary movies
I have seen in a very long time. Rosign Sinbad
and Cheryl what's the name Cheryl tell me?
Speaker 5 (21:28):
Shepherd?
Speaker 7 (21:29):
Yeah, Cherry Shepherd, Shey Shelby.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
Cherry Cherry Shepherd, Shepherd.
Speaker 7 (21:37):
Ordinary great, I'm good for a great depth and I
guarantee you it's one of if you're not careful, it'll
bring tears to you.
Speaker 4 (21:45):
It's just that good.
Speaker 7 (21:46):
That's always. Thank you for allowing me to speak.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
I'm sorry, no, I know, you go ahead. I'm sorry.
Speaker 7 (21:53):
No, no, no, no, don't be sorry, Donald, But it's absolutely
it's a fantastic movie to watch. Even Truman, he's a
great actor.
Speaker 4 (22:02):
You know, everybody knows him, but he, I mean, the.
Speaker 3 (22:05):
Whole cat itself was absolutely I've always saw me.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
Thank you for allowing me to speak.
Speaker 7 (22:10):
Alm on you and everyone to have a beautiful glass
say and healthy day, and thank you for welcoming back
on the air.
Speaker 1 (22:18):
All right here, thank you, Prince Charles. So glad you're back. Yeah.
I have heard and seen a lot of people talking
about the movie Straw on social media and a lot
of people talking about how they cried and talking about
praising that basically that movie, saying how good it is.
I haven't seen it yet. I was catching up with
(22:39):
Georgia and Jenny or Jenny and Georgia, whatever it is.
I was catching up on that try to see you know.
Then I was gonna watch that. Uh And I'm glad
to get the feedback because I wasn't sure. I was like,
do I need to walk? But now since Prince Charles
has signed off, then I hate it, then that's what
I'm gonna do. I'm gonna go watch it and let
me go to the app and uh, y'all are tapping app?
Speaker 10 (23:02):
Hey Stormy, how you doing?
Speaker 11 (23:05):
Hey?
Speaker 10 (23:05):
Linda brought my opinion on that they needed speaking with
a shoe and their parents should have took him home
and finished joy he left off at that's why these
children are the way they are today. You be safe, Stormy.
Speaker 1 (23:22):
Thank you so much, Miss Linda. Yeah, appreciate you getting
on in here. Here we go with another person that
tapped the app.
Speaker 12 (23:31):
Hey, Stormy, tea, wou should be so kind as to
wish Ashley Clease a happy birthday for my mom Bridgie,
her husband Brian, the rest of the Clean family, and
of course the lovely Lady d along with JT.
Speaker 1 (23:49):
Thank you, Stormy. Have a good one. All right, y'all listen,
we're gonna come back and we're gonna talk some more.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
Woo.
Speaker 1 (23:56):
This email got me all in my feelings. I'm trying
to tell you. Okay, So they were married. He comes
home one day he says he doesn't want to be married,
and yeah, she stays with him though, because she's trying
to work it out. It didn't work out. It didn't
work out because well, he had an accident and got
really sick. But she didn't want to help, but God
(24:19):
made he. You know, God had something to do with it.
He told her, come on, help your husband. But only
people he had to help him because he didn't have
his family. The only people he had to help him
was her, her dad and her mom. Her mom passed away.
He didn't even give her his condolences. What kind of
man is that? I mean, they basically nursed him back
(24:41):
to life. So now they're going through a divorce. She said,
I'm done. I ain't even having nothing to do with
him because all he wants is his cake and need
it too, because I know he's seeing somebody else now,
so he's evidently completely recovered and now he's doing his
own thing. Y'all help this sister out. Listen, we're gonna
come back and get these calls. Y'all are hanging on,
(25:03):
and we'll come back and get you. You know, you
can tap that iHeartRadio app or you can call nine
O one five three five nine three four two eight
hundred five zero three nine three four two eight three
three five three five nine three four two everybody doing
all right? Checking in with you everybody all right? Ms
Pat from colliamtt Park, Illinois. You okay, haven't heard from
her in a minute. I think she called last week.
(25:25):
I'm not sure, but I think she did anyway, Hey girl, Hi, y'all.
Let's see phone to lit up and I do have
to do want to go back to the emails because
a few emails have come in and I want to
read them. I want to see what you guys are
saying in these emails. Soon as I find my Okay,
(25:45):
there we are. I'm trying to find my emails. Here
we go, Tasha or Tasha, This is Tasha, Hey girl,
Hey Stormy. The coach was right. That boy broke the rule. Period.
If that was my son, I would have said thank you, coach,
and he would have gotten it from me. Also, that's
(26:08):
why these children are like they are. No one can
discipline them. Just my opinion. As always loving the show, okay,
mister George, coach, is this coach Nur's Beverly's coach? Okay?
Good afternoons? Dorm of tea push up popsicle sounds so delicious.
I like it. Popsicles sounds so delicious. No this saint.
(26:31):
This No, this ain't uh, This ain't coach, this ain't
nurse Beverly coaches. It's somebody else. Anyway, Stormy, I'm writing
about the coach who pulled those boys pants down. Something
in the soup ain't tomatoes, as Bobby would say. Was
this guy waiting on the opportunity to do this. Boys
are going to be boys, testosterone through the roof. Not
saying that they should have should not have any discipline,
(26:55):
but there were many ways to discipline those young men
without exposing their behinds. I don't think their behinds were
exposed in the video. I think he was. I think
they had their underwear on and he was. At least
from the picture I saw of the video, it looks
like they cat He just told them full of fans down. Anyway,
I've been a man a long time, and the last
(27:18):
thing I want to do is look at the kid's
and to add insult to injury in front of his friends.
This guy is a freak that has been waiting on
his opportunity, and he needed to be fired and never
to be allowed around kids again. Just my opinion. M okay,
m h w D I A hello.
Speaker 8 (27:42):
Hey, mister Norman.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
How you doing, I'm I know that's right, Yes I am.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
Hey, Lissen, I agree with Brince Charles. I have answer
seeing the movie Straw two times, and I'm going to
watch it again tonight. Absolutely one of the Tyler parents
that I'm gonna.
Speaker 13 (28:02):
What he did and there for meAll, I'm gonna tell
you the movie, but what he did he would exposed
the trauma that black women experience every day, and then
he showed just how resilient and how wonderful hour.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
Black women are.
Speaker 3 (28:20):
I'm gonna leave it at that point, but I'm telling
you it's and not only am I gonna watch it again,
but I'm gonna open up it. They as a vin
it for women who don't have Netflix, can't get to
to watch it.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
Get in trouble. You're trying to You trying to get
in trouble because that right there is kind of illegal.
You might not wanna be done that because.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
I'm gonna open that up. So I have Netflix in
the village for them to come and watch free, and.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
We're gonna have a open.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
It's all the dog gonna.
Speaker 1 (28:48):
Change, Okay, all right, I'm just telling you to watch it.
I'm gonna watch you do you do?
Speaker 3 (28:56):
Yeah, I had to call in on now. I was
just gonna listen tonight. But when when you said that,
I've got to share that that's one of the one
I would watch more than anything I ever watch on
Tyler Pierre. Wow, I'm telling you that's to me.
Speaker 1 (29:10):
Okay, Fris Charles said you said it. I've seen a
lot of people on social media that have said it. Uh,
somebody else told me. So I'm gonna have to watch
it all thing.
Speaker 3 (29:21):
I'll suggest get your t shirp popcorn? Really okay, come,
I cried, and the sister what, yes, I did. I
dropped tears, baby, I dropped tears in that one. All right,
all right, so thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
Thank you, mister Norman. Have a good day. Okay, you're true?
All right?
Speaker 5 (29:39):
By bye?
Speaker 1 (29:41):
Uh you know, and I was not trying to shut
him down, so please don't think that. But I do
know that when it comes to Netflix and you're telling
people things like that over the air, that could be
a problem. That's that's all I was saying. Trying to say, So, yeah,
I don't want him get in no trouble and me either.
W D I A hello, you going I'm good, coming man.
Speaker 6 (30:01):
How you doing, I'm doing fantastic, fantastic.
Speaker 2 (30:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 14 (30:07):
Before my comments, I had somebody to.
Speaker 6 (30:10):
Tell me yesterday that that is the best tighter period.
Speaker 5 (30:14):
Move they have ever seen. What so it must be yeah,
just yesterday.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
Oh wow, we got to watch it then.
Speaker 14 (30:20):
Yeah yeah, yeah, So to you to the subject to
the subject today, Uh yeah, father Father's dead is coming
up and I'm looking forward to it.
Speaker 5 (30:30):
To uh to go out with my kids.
Speaker 14 (30:33):
Matter of fact, my kids, my son in law and
my mother in law.
Speaker 5 (30:37):
We'll be having an outing and.
Speaker 6 (30:38):
Uh we had reservations for firebirds.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
Oh I love firebirds. Let me let me ask you this,
coming man, let me ask you this. What do you want?
Do you want die in some socks?
Speaker 5 (30:50):
You know what?
Speaker 14 (30:51):
Well, my daughter from nas Hue to give me a
variety of things. My baby daughter, she usually come with
the same type of thing every year.
Speaker 6 (31:01):
But she gave me an option this year.
Speaker 14 (31:03):
So I kind of specified with her because I know
she'll come with the same type of thing to usually
give me some fragrances every year.
Speaker 5 (31:10):
Oh okay, I'm like, I got about.
Speaker 14 (31:12):
Twenty dollars a cologne. I don't want no clown you know,
but I'm just really looking forward to it and just
basically spending the time with her, enjoying the moment, building memories.
Speaker 11 (31:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (31:21):
And uh and.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
That was nice of her too. Uh, that was nice
for her to kind of ask you what you what
you wanted, because a lot of times we don't, we
don't think about that. We get y'all stuff and y'all
be like, what, Well, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (31:34):
Now, I'm gonna teall.
Speaker 6 (31:35):
She kind of done me, like your friend down you for.
Speaker 3 (31:37):
My birthday, for my birthday, and she's buying me exact
thing you tell your friends done with you.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (31:45):
Wow, yeah, so you know. Yeah, but yeah, so I'm
looking forward to that. Uh to the to.
Speaker 14 (31:50):
The email you got the young lady and the husband.
So he wanted the boys. Yes, he ended up with
brain uh brain damage.
Speaker 5 (31:59):
Your I would say to her, First of.
Speaker 14 (32:04):
All, he's an upstanding person, her and her mother and father,
and that was really good in understand with him, stamp
besad him or what not. H she was she was
good by not becoming evil because it sounds like that's
not even who she is.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
So just continue to be who you are, Continue to
be the good person.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
You are.
Speaker 14 (32:22):
At some point in time, he'll realize where he lost
if he's gone out to begin to see somebody else.
I think I would just let it go because I
wouldn't engage in that.
Speaker 6 (32:33):
You know you too, You're too good of a person
for that. But what I would tell him about if
I was the lady, I.
Speaker 14 (32:39):
Would say, I'm gonna let it go because I tried
my best. But what you need to do is engage
with your son, because you're only going to hurt the
relationship between you and your son. But I'm moving on
because at some point of time, you gotta let it go.
When a person is not doing you right, you know
you just got it at some point in time.
Speaker 2 (32:57):
Let it go.
Speaker 6 (32:58):
She sounds like she done the.
Speaker 14 (33:00):
Best that she could do. Yeah, and so you know,
if it was me, that's what I would do. I
just you know, take the loss picked up in life
with somebody else sooner or later. But tell him you
need to continue to engage with the sign. And plus,
don't don't let him put.
Speaker 5 (33:17):
You in a position to.
Speaker 14 (33:21):
Force yourself to be with him in order for him
to be with the child.
Speaker 5 (33:26):
Don't do that. Tell him to be a man and.
Speaker 6 (33:29):
Be with his child, because that's what he's supposed to do,
not to.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
Be with you.
Speaker 5 (33:34):
Yeah, you got me so yeah, that's.
Speaker 6 (33:37):
My take on the storm.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
Appreciate you, I got you, Thank you, coming man all right,
bye bye?
Speaker 11 (33:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (33:44):
Maya Angelo said it best. When people show you who
they are, believe them, simple as that, believe them. The
lady who emailed you already knows what to do. This
is from Tasha Thomas. Hey girl, I talk Thomas. There's
no need to even consider allowing him to continue to
(34:05):
use you for sex when he isn't choosing to commit
to you and be in his son's life, Ron and
don't look back. I hope that he gives more financial
support for your son when needed, because that little hundred
dollars doesn't go far. Now, you got that right, It
(34:25):
don't go far. But even more, I hope that he
gets involved in his son's life. You don't abandon your children.
It's too much of that already. Let's go back to
these phone see what you guys are talking about on
today WDA.
Speaker 15 (34:47):
Hello, this is a good morning, Good morning. This is
a main quarrel. This is a Maine's world, you.
Speaker 5 (35:05):
Know, without some money on the side.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
Get on out of here. Oh my goodness.
Speaker 4 (35:15):
Now, when you're talking about love and relationships, always come
to me because it's a Maine's world and I know
about relationships.
Speaker 6 (35:23):
Okay, okay, I.
Speaker 1 (35:24):
Am curious to see what you're going to say about
this young lady's deliver.
Speaker 5 (35:29):
What you got to say was Maya Angela married?
Speaker 1 (35:35):
No? Not to my knowledge, No, I think she's ever married.
Speaker 4 (35:38):
Who is she to coulde about love and relationships and
all that.
Speaker 6 (35:41):
Means everybody been in love?
Speaker 1 (35:44):
Everybody been in love?
Speaker 4 (35:46):
Yeah, who is she to listen to?
Speaker 6 (35:49):
I mean, she can rhyme and everything. She's a nice lady,
but you know she was never married, no children, So
what does she know?
Speaker 1 (35:57):
Anyway, you better respect her. She gone, Now can you
move along?
Speaker 4 (36:02):
I respect her. She can rhyme, you know, but anyway,
let me let me let me say something of this woman.
First of all, she did the right thing by nursing him.
I kind of believe she got this from Tyler Perry's movie,
so I hope she's real. But she did the right
thing by nursing him back to health. So she did
(36:23):
the right thing, and you made a mistake when you
said she did. He did a three sixty he actually
did a one to eighty.
Speaker 5 (36:31):
He turned the back, He turned his back on her.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
Okay, well that's what she says in her email, she says,
and let me see, let me read it. My husband
came home on one particular day and said he doesn't
want to be married anymore and just did a three
sixty on me.
Speaker 4 (36:49):
When you do it a three sixty, you go all
the way around. So he didn't go all the way around.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
You know what she means.
Speaker 6 (36:59):
I just got to be meted.
Speaker 4 (37:00):
Okay, you just gotta be Yeah.
Speaker 5 (37:04):
She did the right thing.
Speaker 4 (37:05):
But why does she.
Speaker 5 (37:06):
Need that hundred dollars a week.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
For the child? It's for the child.
Speaker 4 (37:11):
No, that that that keeps sitting her on a leash.
Release that money and just leave. Don't accept any money
from him.
Speaker 1 (37:20):
They're they're not together anymore, she left. They're they're divorcing now.
Speaker 4 (37:24):
No, they're still together because he's still hitting and quitting it.
Speaker 1 (37:28):
No, she said, she told him. No, he's been calling
and she's not answering.
Speaker 6 (37:34):
That was last night.
Speaker 4 (37:36):
Now give it, give it a couple of weeks and
she'll be ready again. So she needs to leave that
money alone and just leave them alone.
Speaker 1 (37:44):
Wait a minute, wait, wait, wait, wait, now hold up.
Now she that's for the child. He ain't got to
contribute that. She didn't have that child by herself, he contributed.
Now you need to be contributing. You need to give
her that money.
Speaker 5 (37:59):
She does she have a job.
Speaker 1 (38:02):
I'm sure she does.
Speaker 2 (38:04):
Yeah, get her a.
Speaker 6 (38:07):
Sucker or something to pay her a hundred dollars a week,
that's nothing.
Speaker 4 (38:13):
Just get her somebody, you know, so she can get
her somebody else and leave him alone. That way she
could completely be away from him. I hope you're listening,
miss miss uh miss ladies whatever. I don't know who
you are, and let me let me get on mister Chuck.
Speaker 1 (38:34):
Wait a minute, what Chuck do to you?
Speaker 4 (38:41):
I mean, Chuck's a nice guy, another nice guy, But
when he's talking about Memphis.
Speaker 2 (38:46):
Being need to catch up.
Speaker 4 (38:48):
Whenever you visit a city, you're not going to the
seedy parts of town. You're going to the nice parts.
Even when you go to Hawaii, you got you gonna
visit for a week and say it's real nice. But
the people that live there, they don't say that about Hawaii.
It's just a regular place. When people come to Memphis.
(39:09):
I talked to them all the time on Bill Street
and around other places. They say, Wow, Memphis is progressive.
Memphis got it going on. I love this city. That's
exactly what we do when we visit places. It's just
like new what I mean, Oh the letter off to
oh New is always good New, p Is is always
(39:33):
good Bye.
Speaker 7 (39:34):
Jackson, I didn't say the word.
Speaker 4 (39:41):
Wait a minute, I give the goodbyes.
Speaker 1 (39:45):
Go ahead.
Speaker 5 (39:54):
But anyway, uh child that love?
Speaker 9 (39:58):
You know?
Speaker 1 (39:58):
How did Jackson? A miss got an email for mister Hopkins?
He says, stormy that coach could have saved them young
men from a rape charge. He was right. We're gonna
come back and talk about this moment. Unforgetful Jennifer Michael,
(40:22):
Lady d Clyde, y'all hold on, we'll be back in
a moment. Father's Day. Yeah, it'll be here before you
know it. Yeah, Sunday. As a matter of fact, what
you're gonna do for daddy, I mean, excuse me for
your father, because daddy and father to some people is
not the same person. Anyway, enough about that. Let's see here.
(40:44):
Darlene Ray email she'sa a mcarry medical coming. Yeah, they
are coming by the way to Memphis. Even though Memphis
needs to catch up in our tourist areas with other cities.
As the caller stated earlier, mcarry Met School locating within
the Medical District of Memphis is a noteworthy and exciting announcement.
(41:08):
All cities have a ghetto or underprivileged area. Let's pray
and uplift our city of Memphis. And yeah, miss Ray,
I thank you for sending that email. Yeah they're coming
if in case you guys didn't know, mm hmm, yeah,
to our area. So just jef yi Okay. So the
(41:30):
story the legendary coach and when I say legendary, I
mean legendary. Is so legendary if they named the Jim
after him, longtime high school coach where it is he's
one of the winningest. All of that too, the allegations
of spanking some players with a shoe now his belt
(41:54):
of choice. He should use the belt. If he had
used a belt, maybe it wouldn't be that way. I
don't know. But the mother of the child that was spanked,
she now this is what I didn't see this. I
looked at the story from w b W s B TV.
(42:15):
I look at the story and I saw the video
from looking at the story, and it didn't seem like
this to me. This is what she says, though, to me,
it's perverted. Honestly, I think it's perverted. Now, that's what
she said. Now told him to, you know, pull his
(42:36):
pants down a little bit, so the child has the
pants down in the video. And there were other people witnessing.
There were other students, so I guess, I don't know.
I don't know if all the children were spanked. But
this woman's child was spanked, and she didn't want people
to see her face because she's feared in fear of retaliation,
is what she said. But at any rate, he spanked them.
(42:59):
The way he spanked him did not look like it
was perverted to me. It looks like a man sick
of them kids got them in the bahamas and they
got girls in the room and he spanked them. Now,
maybe he shouldn't have used a shoe at any rate.
Speaker 15 (43:24):
Y'all.
Speaker 1 (43:25):
Yeah, he's been fired. M hm hm. So you know
some people ain't happy about that, you know that, right, Yeah,
they're not happy anyway. Let me go to the phone,
see what y'all talking about. W D I A, Hello,
what's up, Clyde? How you doing?
Speaker 5 (43:43):
You know storm m hm. I tell you this is
the main reason.
Speaker 16 (43:49):
Why you can't get shepherd On to take chiding out
of town now, because they don't want to put their
job online.
Speaker 8 (43:58):
That the little boys was wrong for having girls room.
Speaker 16 (44:00):
First of all, one of the girls that will say
they got raped, they'll have been on the coach. One
of the girls that they got pregnant, dad would have
been on the coach, So he didn't do nothing wrong
by spanking of them because of parents.
Speaker 8 (44:14):
Then they don't get spankings at home. And and and you.
Speaker 16 (44:19):
You see when when I talk about women, they don't
want to dis make kids.
Speaker 8 (44:25):
They don't want to. They don't want no better to
do it. See them same kids.
Speaker 16 (44:30):
They'll get away with so much murder that they'll be
terrorizing girls when they get in school. Now they should
never find I cannot believe that the Princeville actually fired
that man.
Speaker 8 (44:43):
That I mean, that's cold right.
Speaker 16 (44:44):
Just so you know how many time we don'ta been
a whooped in school about by the coaches and stuff,
and our parents they get mad. One thing our parents said,
now whoop them again, woun I'm gonna coach. I'm gonna
tell you so my son came home off that trip.
He's gonna get another whooping. You embarrassed me on the
trip with the coaches that having girls in the room.
Speaker 8 (45:05):
You don't have girls at the.
Speaker 6 (45:06):
House in the room.
Speaker 16 (45:08):
And so when it comes down to the father's day,
you know, I talked my son years ago, you my
gift for life.
Speaker 8 (45:18):
You ain't never got to bat none because I got
I got everything.
Speaker 7 (45:22):
Yeah, I talked my son.
Speaker 8 (45:24):
I said, you never got to buy me none. I said,
you I ain't got what I got. The one son that.
Speaker 16 (45:29):
Carried me and my daddy's name on that.
Speaker 8 (45:31):
That's what I always wanted, saw it.
Speaker 16 (45:35):
So we got to understand that I go over his house,
he's gonna barbecue. Uh, he ain't got to do just
to call him with me as a father day, cause I'm.
Speaker 8 (45:42):
Gonna be working anyway. You know, I had to. I
work anyway.
Speaker 7 (45:47):
And so when it comes down.
Speaker 8 (45:48):
In the lady m hm see, I was mad about
what happened because she sugar stuck his button a nurse at.
Speaker 16 (45:55):
Home and left him when he first said he wanted
to leave anyway, but she was.
Speaker 8 (46:01):
She was bigger than that.
Speaker 5 (46:02):
She nursed them back.
Speaker 8 (46:03):
Only thing she to do storm.
Speaker 16 (46:06):
Go on father the divorce, put him on child support,
and let it go. That's all you gotta do is
because one thing about the Storm, m they're more good
stepfathers out there than the real fathers.
Speaker 8 (46:20):
I want you to know this Storm, all right, Clyd,
thank you.
Speaker 1 (46:23):
All right, thank you so much for calling, and Clyde
appreciate you.
Speaker 9 (46:26):
W D.
Speaker 11 (46:26):
I a hello, Storm, and every generation, every now and
then you will have a bad sea.
Speaker 1 (46:33):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 11 (46:35):
Understand that no matter what you do, your kids just
going to be bad. I'm gonna be honest with your Storm.
Speaker 3 (46:42):
When it comes to us as boys, we need to
put down. See is not happy the storm. That's why
we haven't told many problems because they don't understand. The
boys are different from the girl. Yeah, you got to
deal with them rough people, even the mama's in the day.
Speaker 8 (46:59):
You got to deal with them rough.
Speaker 5 (47:01):
You gotta let them know.
Speaker 11 (47:03):
These boys they just learn them up, do anything they
want to do, and all that kind of stuff they
do them cracking that I tools this year nine and
eight years old. Come on, now, you got to train
these kids.
Speaker 3 (47:15):
You got to get more inside their heads.
Speaker 11 (47:18):
You got to get spiritually with them. Let them know
that's something bigger than them and.
Speaker 6 (47:23):
You too, and the next thing to them.
Speaker 2 (47:26):
This is what I really want.
Speaker 11 (47:27):
To talk about, flying the time of the Stone.
Speaker 6 (47:30):
Yeah, my opinion the first psychic that it bang.
Speaker 11 (47:34):
I know y'all saying what wasn't the world.
Speaker 8 (47:36):
Talking about what they're saying?
Speaker 11 (47:39):
Yeah, Man, there an't nobody else come close to them.
I mean I might can throw out Jimmy Hendrys and
maybe the Barcades or message, and that's it. They're the
first cyche that the band. Boy, they jams on them
and they're number one for them.
Speaker 3 (47:55):
That I love about.
Speaker 8 (47:56):
Them is another one.
Speaker 3 (47:58):
That's because a single simple song.
Speaker 8 (48:01):
So I hope you get out as you girl.
Speaker 11 (48:04):
That's sing a simple song man, this gold bloody. I'm
just saying storming, what's that?
Speaker 3 (48:11):
That?
Speaker 11 (48:12):
That movie outside and people to do Lifetime or movies
like that.
Speaker 7 (48:16):
Y'all't want to do a movie, don't want.
Speaker 6 (48:18):
Out signing and telling the Stone.
Speaker 7 (48:20):
I mean, you got Larry Graham all that in there, and.
Speaker 11 (48:24):
You got him living in the trailer and then his
life waiting.
Speaker 3 (48:27):
For his lawsuit and all that kind of stuff. Man,
it'll be one of the.
Speaker 17 (48:32):
And then you got the integrated Bank. This man had.
I think he might have been a.
Speaker 3 (48:37):
Person with black and white in.
Speaker 1 (48:38):
The baby Yeah, Donny Simpson said he was. He was
bringing people together, did you we'd never imagine would be together.
Speaker 9 (48:44):
Right.
Speaker 17 (48:45):
And then this way back in this text, this is
what he said.
Speaker 11 (48:48):
He was like the first to do look thorm Yeah,
someone out there, don't call me white in all that
in word and all that stuff, staying man. But the
all is music was great. But that th thing itself,
the throng, man, I just love that.
Speaker 1 (49:08):
When you come out, you go all right, thank you,
I forget. I appreciate you so much for calling in. Yeah, man, okay,
w d I a hello, Hello, hey there, hey.
Speaker 7 (49:22):
Beautiful, how are you today?
Speaker 1 (49:23):
Doing good? How are you? I am good?
Speaker 17 (49:27):
I have two questions, well, act we one? What in
the Coach Carter and Diaries of a Mad Black Woman
do we have going on today?
Speaker 2 (49:40):
Ho?
Speaker 18 (49:40):
Nae?
Speaker 17 (49:43):
Now I want to applaud the lady because she did
do what she you know, as as a Christian or
something like, I applaud her. However, I agree to its Clyde.
He said it first, but I was thinking, you divorce him,
(50:04):
hit him with the child support. And I know this
may sound bad. But I hope her mom just come
to this man every time he closed his eyes and
go to sleep, because she said that he didn't, you know,
support her when her mother passed away and the mother
actually took him to rehab and to make sure he
(50:25):
was okay. I hope her mother just come back and
just every time he closed.
Speaker 1 (50:29):
His eyes to rest, she just pumps up in his face.
Speaker 17 (50:33):
I hope he doesn't get any rest because that's his
death does means evil and he has no he doesn't
have a heart. He doesn't have a heart. So she
just needs to do as Clode said, divorce him, hit
him with child support, and keep it moving because her
blessings are coming because she did a wonderful thing by
(50:57):
not turning her back on him. And as far as
the coach, I agree with everyone else. Again that is
what's wrong with a lot of these children today. No
one can punish them for any reason. And once again,
he could have saved him from any you know a
lot of things that could have went on with him
(51:18):
having girls in the room like they said before, and
I just I don't think that it should have gone
that far for him to be fired. I mean, I don't.
Speaker 1 (51:30):
Know they could have come up with something else.
Speaker 17 (51:32):
He reprimanded him with a couple of weeks off before
school starts back or something. But you've named the gym
after him, and he's legendary, and to fire.
Speaker 4 (51:42):
Him now that that's just wrong.
Speaker 5 (51:46):
That's just wrong.
Speaker 17 (51:47):
I don't agree with that at all.
Speaker 6 (51:52):
That's my couple of sins on this.
Speaker 1 (51:54):
So all right, well, thank you for calling in. I
appreciate you a couple of sins, yes, ma'am.
Speaker 17 (51:59):
Thank thank you, and you have a wonderful one and
d care.
Speaker 1 (52:02):
Fault, yes ma'am, thank you. Miss Gray, Miss Anita says
she don't need to worry. God is going to bless
her for nursing him back on his feet, but he
is going to reap what he sows. That's when Miss
Anita said, you gonna read what he shows? Yeah, man,
w D I A.
Speaker 6 (52:23):
Hello, I'm restoring.
Speaker 2 (52:25):
How you doing today?
Speaker 1 (52:26):
Hey Michael, I'm doing good? How are you?
Speaker 7 (52:29):
No complaints? Your last call of said it right? I mean,
no boy could have got that stop blowing those bubbles.
Speaker 6 (52:35):
She could have got that.
Speaker 7 (52:36):
She could have gone down the pill with like, oh girl,
did you blessed to get done what he did? But
you can't why she said.
Speaker 5 (52:43):
You move on.
Speaker 7 (52:44):
You don't wish any ill on anybody. It didn't work out.
Whatever happened happened, he didn't work out.
Speaker 5 (52:49):
You move on.
Speaker 3 (52:49):
You don't hold on, You don't dwell, You don't try
to hang.
Speaker 6 (52:52):
On to something. It's people all the time.
Speaker 7 (52:54):
Because my sister said, dis as you told me, never
let him about to tell you twice that they don't
want you the first time they telling it.
Speaker 5 (53:01):
That should be enough.
Speaker 7 (53:02):
For whatever reason it is, that should be enough, and
you just move on. As far as the coach goes.
Speaker 3 (53:11):
No, man, I played football in high school. Man, you
see people mistake.
Speaker 7 (53:16):
Abuse for discipline. Well, he and with his shoe with
a shoe, okay. So if it was a paddle with that,
bill came. If it was a belt, would bill okay?
If it was a towel, pop, would that be okay?
Speaker 6 (53:30):
He say what you mean, lady, You don't.
Speaker 7 (53:31):
Want anybody saying or doing anything to your kid like
most people nowadays, nobody I don't care how much heck
somebody's kids raises at school. Nobody wants anything saying to nothing.
You gotta teachers retire because they don't want to deal
with it.
Speaker 1 (53:45):
Ag that's right.
Speaker 6 (53:47):
The parents come.
Speaker 7 (53:48):
You see a stupid kid and the kid parents, the
parent come to the school. You see where the kid
got it from, no accountability none. They know if I
do this, Mama gonna come up here. And it's not
saying to the teachers. And you wonder why I'm the coach.
And it's the environment that we're in right now.
Speaker 6 (54:09):
You know, it's.
Speaker 7 (54:10):
A highly charged PC environment. The story got out and
that's what it was. The school was taking a hit
and the only way they can see that. Look, we
gotta let you go get all the stuff. You know,
one act. You know a lot of times, you know
it it wipes away a lot of good, you know,
because that's the.
Speaker 8 (54:28):
World we live in.
Speaker 7 (54:30):
You know, people are Christians on Sunday and.
Speaker 6 (54:32):
That's only from eleven to two.
Speaker 7 (54:34):
After that they right back to who they were because
there's some of those same Christians that go to church
on Sunday. Try to get them nture out of the
parking lot.
Speaker 4 (54:44):
As far as Father's Day, yeah.
Speaker 6 (54:46):
I missed my pops.
Speaker 7 (54:49):
Posse is easy on Father's Day.
Speaker 3 (54:51):
He never asked for.
Speaker 6 (54:52):
Any They never asked so much.
Speaker 7 (54:54):
But I've always liked cologne and even as a kid because.
Speaker 5 (54:57):
Of my brother in law.
Speaker 7 (54:57):
He best meller brother ever known.
Speaker 6 (55:02):
Pops never said he want anything. But sometimes I walk
past his.
Speaker 3 (55:04):
Glass, Hey boy, what you get on there? And I
knew what to get him, you know, and I would
look at It would always be around his birthday of Father's.
Speaker 6 (55:12):
Day because he had what all the everything he wanted.
Speaker 5 (55:16):
He was good.
Speaker 7 (55:17):
But he liked his cologne.
Speaker 3 (55:18):
He liked the old school cologne like Arabis and Brute.
Speaker 6 (55:21):
Not brew but arabis stuff like that. But I used
to wear Brute when I was in like third grade.
That was my introduction to cologne.
Speaker 1 (55:28):
So I think everybody wore Brute.
Speaker 6 (55:29):
Back in the day, back in the day.
Speaker 7 (55:32):
Yeah, yeah, he was.
Speaker 3 (55:33):
He was saying, the last cologne that I had that
I was wearing was Skindy. And I walked past and
he was like, what you got there?
Speaker 6 (55:44):
And I told her.
Speaker 7 (55:45):
You like that?
Speaker 17 (55:45):
It's all right, It's all.
Speaker 3 (55:46):
Right, that's all right, man, don't case you want to
buy and go ahead because he never asked for anything,
so and he wore that.
Speaker 7 (55:52):
That was a lot of my last Father's Day with him,
my last Father's Day with him. He passed away that
September eleventh, so yeah, Father's Day is the it's.
Speaker 6 (56:01):
A day when you had it, when you had a
great dad. You honor them daily. You don't just take
one day.
Speaker 5 (56:07):
You honor them daily.
Speaker 6 (56:08):
And when they're not here, when the ancestors, you appreciate
what you had even more.
Speaker 9 (56:12):
So.
Speaker 7 (56:12):
I tell my nieces and Miss Donna call uncle Mike
complained about mama, made me mad, Dad, and made you.
I don't want to hear that because I was killed.
Speaker 2 (56:19):
I have Mam and Dad here right now.
Speaker 1 (56:21):
Because I had good parents.
Speaker 7 (56:23):
You honor them.
Speaker 3 (56:24):
So yeah, go all out for your parents Mother's Day,
Father's Day, but you honor them daily.
Speaker 7 (56:29):
Don't just wait for one day after year, two days
after honor them daily.
Speaker 17 (56:32):
And you got your parents.
Speaker 5 (56:34):
You are blessed to have them.
Speaker 7 (56:37):
Trust me, you are blessed.
Speaker 6 (56:40):
And that's all I got.
Speaker 5 (56:41):
Mistored me, all right, Michael?
Speaker 1 (56:42):
Are you your dad or your dad?
Speaker 3 (56:45):
No?
Speaker 6 (56:45):
No, God got a sense of humor.
Speaker 5 (56:47):
He gave me girls.
Speaker 1 (56:52):
I got in this news, okay, okay, I got you
all right? All right, Well, thank you for checking in.
I appreciate.
Speaker 5 (57:01):
Thank you.
Speaker 6 (57:01):

Speaker 1 (57:02):
Okay, Okay, Yeah, I was looking at this pigeon forge

I just wanted to ask the question.
Speaker 19 (57:32):
I'm want for sure to mister Mark know how to
tap that app because I've been calling me every Sunday
and I hadn't heard anything yet and can't get him
on the phone either, So I was just wondering to
y'all teach him how to tap that app.
Speaker 2 (57:45):
Okay, this was on Talk to you later by.
Speaker 1 (57:49):

you tap it while I'm here, and uh, I'm gonna
do my best to get to uh what you got

Speaker 1 (58:47):
Hey, hey lady, d are you doing?
Speaker 7 (58:52):
I'll be yourself.
Speaker 1 (58:53):
I'm doing good. Do good.
Speaker 18 (59:00):
Children.
Speaker 17 (59:01):
They wasn't downtown nowhere.
Speaker 7 (59:04):
They were in the Bahamas.
Speaker 17 (59:06):
And now you won't get mad at the coach young
people in the Bahamas. Come on, it could have end
up like the young lady that fell over here drinking,
so you won't actually get mad at him now. The
only thing he did wrong he was out of order
(59:27):
because he didn't look around. He should have found somebody
down that would want them big bills, because number one,
I'm responsible for you now. Had something happen to any
of those.
Speaker 7 (59:40):
Children, they'd have been ready to sue the school, sue
the plums books.
Speaker 17 (59:45):
Oh we're gonna sue everybody in sue the town.
Speaker 1 (59:49):
So you think the folks would have acted up. You
think though the parents would have acted up and been
really upset if something.
Speaker 17 (59:57):
Yeah, no, no, no, song, I don't don't think this
side knows this. Look looking at it at when now
this man was actually looking out. You know, if I'm
in a boy's room, number one, they gonna be drinking,
They're gonna be out of order. They could have got
(01:00:17):
game rate or anything. So again, yeah, he was out of.
Speaker 7 (01:00:21):
Order for whooping them with a little old shoes.
Speaker 17 (01:00:24):
Baby, I'd have told them up and call their parents
and told their parents. Look, I had to do what
I had to do because there's something happened to your teacher.
They down here with me, so at the end of
the day, we won't.
Speaker 7 (01:00:38):
That's what's wrong now.
Speaker 17 (01:00:40):
Reason the young folks running stuff, They run everything because
they got parents Like this. Now, now you're gonna call
the teacher. Oh he's a freaking he's not. No, no, no,
number one, he didn't want to whoop. No, he whooped clothes,
but he didn't want to whoop clothes. See, you can't
(01:01:00):
feel look through no clothes.
Speaker 7 (01:01:01):
Don't want no clothes.
Speaker 17 (01:01:03):
Because see when you got home if he had to
discipline you when you got back to Memphis out of
disband you And what's up Prince chob And uh, when
I go out of townstorm it.
Speaker 8 (01:01:15):
Guess what?
Speaker 7 (01:01:17):
When I go out of town, I don't go. I
don't stay in the Hoosy.
Speaker 17 (01:01:21):
I stay in the downtown area, in all the nustry areas.
I don't stay in the hood. So I don't know
what's going on in the Hoosie.
Speaker 3 (01:01:30):
But this great city here, I love this great city.
Speaker 17 (01:01:35):
But when you out of town, you gonna stay. Well,
it ain't no crime. Then you'd be crazy to go
and get a room over in the heart of town.
So which this oh nine, yes, because you are down
and not what it too. It said it ain't no crime.
Speaker 7 (01:01:57):
But go over in housey.
Speaker 17 (01:01:58):
I bet you won't tell you your boys or whoever
in there. Look, I'm looking for the neighborhood as they
called it. Everybody got a hoodie as they call it,
some one and the last ring I leave that ungrateful name.
When you are ungrateful, all you got to do is
trying to ungrateful people. Over to God and watch what
(01:02:20):
he do, Watch what he do for you. Because the baby,
you want a divorce, you back well, and it ain't
gonna work no way because you know why she said
to herself, you.
Speaker 7 (01:02:32):
Got another woman.
Speaker 8 (01:02:33):
So it's gonna be either mean.
Speaker 17 (01:02:36):
It ain't gonna be mean. You and her get you

Let's go back to this app.
Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
Stormer.
Speaker 9 (01:03:46):
What's up, y'all?
Speaker 4 (01:03:47):
What's up everybody?
Speaker 8 (01:03:49):
But uh, that coach you was not Rome.
Speaker 3 (01:03:51):
Somebody needs to whoop that up because I ain't get

Speaker 9 (01:03:54):
Mmm.
Speaker 4 (01:03:55):
Somebody need to whoop that.
Speaker 2 (01:03:56):
But but uh, y'all have a good one.
Speaker 1 (01:04:01):
Now, all right? Email and AUGUSTA, would you? I got
an email here from young August. Hey August, She says, Hey,
on tee, this is a different day in time, and
if you put your hands on a student and it
becomes public knowledge, you will likely get fired. The mother says,
after her son left the school recently, he felt empowered
(01:04:25):
to come forward about what happened. I wonder what made
the mother take her son out of that school. It
may be some type of retaliation on their part. When
I was in school in the late nineties, teachers could
get away with this. When we went on our senior
trip at night, our doors were taped from the outside,
(01:04:48):
and if the tape was broken and someone was caught
out of the room. One of the chaperones, Missus Hall
would lay that paddle on some behinds. She couldn't do
that today and get away with it because corporal punishment
is gone in these schools. It's gone. Mmmm w d
(01:05:10):
I A hello, Hello color? Are you the Hey.
Speaker 17 (01:05:16):
High Story?
Speaker 9 (01:05:17):
Hi?
Speaker 1 (01:05:18):
There?
Speaker 17 (01:05:20):
I was calling because I was saying that the.
Speaker 21 (01:05:23):
Coach wasn't wrong, but maybe this wasn't his first time
getting in trouble either, because I'm.
Speaker 6 (01:05:27):
Sure the princident didn't want to fire him.
Speaker 1 (01:05:29):
I'm thinking it's something.
Speaker 8 (01:05:30):
He had to do.
Speaker 1 (01:05:31):
Well. I was reading the story and I noticed that
they didn't say that the coach had done anything else.
He was a winning coach and he also had it
was overwhelming for the amount of people that voted to
have his name on the gymnasium so or the building
that they put it on at that school, so it
doesn't say that there were any issues prior to this.
Speaker 21 (01:05:54):
Oh well, well, I'm sure the prince went didn't want
to fire him, though, like I said, it was he
had to do probably, But.
Speaker 18 (01:06:03):
About the wife.
Speaker 21 (01:06:04):
The wife and his husband, you can't take none that
don't want to be kept, so I would have let
him go when he wanted the divorce the first time.
And that's pretty much all I got.
Speaker 1 (01:06:16):
Okay, thank you for calling in. I appreciate you doing well.
All right? Bye bye, w d I A hello, Hello
calling you there? Hello, hello, Hey, turn your radio down
in the background, got that radio up all my ear.
Speaker 18 (01:06:42):
We're talking about here about the young lady.
Speaker 4 (01:06:46):
But the only thing I was sitting here.
Speaker 5 (01:06:49):
Sometimes people get confident.
Speaker 18 (01:06:50):
Emotions and with things captain, they might they might have
a chaving venue of what they want to be able or.
Speaker 1 (01:06:57):
Not be with.
Speaker 18 (01:06:57):
But the sad proud about the story is that the
mom took time out to nurse you back to health
and then the mom passes on. Now the woman's already
trying to tie by the mom because they was able
to coach to teach up. Yeah, and then you drop
the blade like that, and then you got a son
and now you're gonna tell you back on him.
Speaker 4 (01:07:17):
So why would you be even interested and want to
help in such a relationship. What if a person if
the emotions God that way to me?
Speaker 2 (01:07:24):
That is pod for And all I got to say
is like a lot of collars said, hey, you gotta
worry about it here, kid, you and do time.
Speaker 4 (01:07:31):
What you need to do is just move on.
Speaker 18 (01:07:33):
Once you learn how to get up hurt, you'll be
okay and then you'll prepare your heart so to safeguard.
So they tell you went into the situation you used
to see you anygether? They just taking a call. Keep up,
good work, something to right.
Speaker 1 (01:07:45):
Thank you so much for calling in. Appreciate you. I
let him slide, y'all. Some of y'all call that. I
let him slide w D I A hello, Hello, Hey,
what's up?
Speaker 6 (01:07:58):
What's going on?
Speaker 5 (01:07:58):
Stormy?
Speaker 9 (01:08:00):
You?
Speaker 5 (01:08:01):
Oh used on me?
Speaker 2 (01:08:03):
You okay?
Speaker 5 (01:08:05):
Well, thank you?
Speaker 1 (01:08:06):
I appreciate that.
Speaker 6 (01:08:08):
Yeah, man, I tell you it's uh.
Speaker 5 (01:08:11):
I was about the coach.
Speaker 9 (01:08:13):
I mean, I tell you that's a that's a situation where.
Speaker 2 (01:08:19):
I don't know you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (01:08:20):
When you were you responsim for.
Speaker 9 (01:08:22):
These kids these days or any days, you got to
be on top of your game with checking on checking
on them and everything, you know what I mean, making
sure everybody's in their room and everything in patiently you're
taking girls and boys up in there were boys to
h girls only either way it goes.
Speaker 4 (01:08:37):
You got to check on these children and the parents
let you take them off.
Speaker 5 (01:08:40):
I mean, where were the parents? It was just a
trip for just.
Speaker 1 (01:08:44):
They were they were in the Bahamas, and I think
they must have been playing a game over there or something.
Speaker 5 (01:08:50):
Okay, because.
Speaker 2 (01:08:53):
So you had the teams.
Speaker 4 (01:08:54):
So it's here a football coach and.
Speaker 2 (01:08:56):
Basketball is off.
Speaker 1 (01:08:58):
I think I want to stay basketball.
Speaker 2 (01:09:00):
And what the girls doing over there?
Speaker 1 (01:09:01):
Cheerleaders or they were not with them? They were not
with them.
Speaker 9 (01:09:06):
Oh they got him in. Oh okay, them guys got
it going on. Then you know what, you have to
watch these kids. I mean you have to watch them
like that.
Speaker 2 (01:09:15):
But I don't know.
Speaker 5 (01:09:16):
But like the guy said earlier, these.
Speaker 2 (01:09:18):
People do not want you to touch their kids.
Speaker 4 (01:09:21):
They don't say anything to them, and they don't want
you to say anything to their kids. They can be
the baddest kid in the class and they're gonna kill you.
Speaker 9 (01:09:30):
Now you don't tell me how to raise his mind.
So that's an issue right there, you know what I'm saying.
Like you said, if he's been in the gym, name after,
they probably don't want them fireman, all that or whatever.
Speaker 6 (01:09:40):
But I guess so much going on today.
Speaker 4 (01:09:42):
I guess they they don't want to loss or anything.
Speaker 2 (01:09:44):
But yeah, but I don't think I would have.
Speaker 4 (01:09:47):
Dispectful with a shoe or something.
Speaker 1 (01:09:49):
Yeah he used a shoe.
Speaker 2 (01:09:52):
Yeah, that's you know, Yeah, that's rough.
Speaker 9 (01:09:54):
I don't know if anything, but just whooping him period either,
you know, he should have whooped them at all like that.
He could have punished him and scold him some kind
of way, but he couldn't. He Charlotte shouldn't whooped him.
Speaker 2 (01:10:06):
And then again about the guy the lady.
Speaker 5 (01:10:08):
Then you say the guy.
Speaker 6 (01:10:09):
