much earlier in the day. He decided to make the
decision to stay with us, which I just want to say,

because unless it's Charlie Ward, because this is a Florida
State team that struggled immensely last week with Florida who
is not great. Florida's defense is not good at all,
and still it took everything they could to win this game.
The road to maker is a game time decision. Not

like he played great last week, you'd be down to
him or your third guy. Louisville's defensive line is really good.
This is the best team Florida State is going to
play and will have played all you. Yes, they played LSU,
it was week one. It would be a different game now.
LSU would probably win by two or three touchdowns, so
they don't have a great resume their other big wins

against Duke, which okay, it's nice to be the seven
and five Duke team. So I don't expect them to
win tomorrow. And even if they win, I don't think

what was college football? Has been blown up over the
last couple of years. Next year we're talking about new rivalryes,
all of like Phil Steele's book is gonna suck, and

But for next year, a lot of the data points

some arbitrary standard saying well, we've always done it this way.
You're looking for the best TV show to get everybody
excited about what you've got and the product that you

Florida State, even if they win, is left home, nobody's
gonna cry.

job to put the four best teams right now in
college football in the playoff, and that means Alabama gets
in over Texas because right now Alabama is a better team,

in the NFL. You lose to one team week two,
you can beat them in week ten. That's champion between
Trump's everything not but right, but not our job. Florida State,
they're undefeated. What else do you want to do? They're
undefeated in the ACC. They will get smoked. They are
not one of the four best teams in the playoffs.

Florida State. That's going to be what they're gonna stand on.
And that's always should have been what the committee stands
on when picking who are the four best teams in
the country. And what you do is you play. And
it doesn't mean that your resume is irrelevant, but it
means you need to be playing your best and being
that best team that combination when the playoffs start and

where you are right now, because that's really what's gonna
portend to being able to win. That's gonna be what
they say, This is our job. Who are the four
best teams? And we believe, we know we put the
four best teams in the playoff and it's gonna piss
off Florida State, it'll piss off Texas somebody else. But
that's how it's gonna go.

But then you decide who's your odds maker of choice,
You brand with them, and you say, all right, you're
the one that sets the odds to create the best
four games possible. Because right now, everything I've seen, if
you took the top five as they stood coming into
this week's action, Florida of State was would be a
double digit underdog.

earlier this week, yeah, hey, Florida State's undefeated old team Corgan,

different team without Jordan Travis said it twice, different team
without Jordan Travis. They are dying to be able to
kick them out because they're looking behind them. Going Texas
is probably better. Alabama would be better, but Alabama's gotta
win because you can't take a two loss Alabama team.
But they are dying to say one of these teams win.
Guess what, Florida State, We're ready to kick you out.
We got our foot right behind your butt right now.

Doesn't matter you don't play well, we can kick you out.
I can see an undefeated Florida State team not making
the College Football Playoff, especially if it's an ugly game.
And right now, we don't know if they're gonna have
their second string quarterback because it's a game time decision tomorrow,
and I don't really know. I don't really know if

I can expect them to win no matter who plays quarterback,
because unless it's Charlie Ward, because this is a Florida
State team that struggled immensely last week with Florida who
is not great. Florida's defense is not good at all,
and still it took everything they could to win this game.
The road to maker is a game time decision. Not

like he played great last week, you'd be down to
him or your third guy. Louisville's defensive line is really good.
This is the best team Florida State is going to
play and will have played all you. Yes, they played LSU,
it was week one. It would be a different game now.
LSU would probably win by two or three touchdowns, so
they don't have a great resume their other big wins

against Duke, which okay, it's nice to be the seven
and five Duke team. So I don't expect them to
win tomorrow. And even if they win, I don't think
they get in.

all of this stuff and their rich history and all
these players, great coaches and moments in football history and
all of the great great highlights that we have players
that have gone to the pros, whatever else. When we're
talking about the playoff run and just saying, well, they've
never done this before, it's gone after this year in

this format, So what's holding you to any standard of
what was college football? Has been blown up over the
last couple of years. Next year we're talking about new rivalryes,
all of like Phil Steele's book is gonna suck, and
I love Phil Steele.

But for next year, a lot of the data points
that we've relied on building they don't matter anymore, no,
because all of these new conferences, all of these like
a lot of the histories go out the window.

And that's the same here when we look at the playoffs.
So what do they need to do in the final
iteration of the four team playoff. It's not about upholding
some arbitrary standard saying well, we've always done it this way.
You're looking for the best TV show to get everybody
excited about what you've got and the product that you
can put in front of you. And if that means

Florida State, even if they win, is left home, nobody's
gonna cry.

It's a Uh, it's gonna be a thing when you see,
whether it's whether it's Boo or somebody else, the matter
with my Boo, whether it's Boo, Corgan or not, is
going to say this when they try to when they
attempt to justify leaving out Florida State getting Alabama in.
If Alabama beats Georgia and then suddenly you're knocking two

teams out, uh, it's gonna be This is gonna be
their statement. It is not our job to break down
the resume of what teams have accomplished. It is our
job to put the four best teams right now in
college football in the playoff, and that means Alabama gets
in over Texas because right now Alabama is a better team,
but Texas bea to Alabama. You know what doesn't matter

in the NFL. You lose to one team week two,
you can beat them in week ten. That's champion between
Trump's everything not but right, but not our job. Florida State,
they're undefeated. What else do you want to do? They're
undefeated in the ACC. They will get smoked. They are
not one of the four best teams in the playoffs.
Smoke down's gonna Texas is a better football team than

Florida State. That's going to be what they're gonna stand on.
And that's always should have been what the committee stands
on when picking who are the four best teams in
the country. And what you do is you play. And
it doesn't mean that your resume is irrelevant, but it
means you need to be playing your best and being
that best team that combination when the playoffs start and

where you are right now, because that's really what's gonna
portend to being able to win. That's gonna be what
they say, This is our job. Who are the four
best teams? And we believe, we know we put the
four best teams in the playoff and it's gonna piss
off Florida State, it'll piss off Texas somebody else. But
that's how it's gonna go.

But then you decide who's your odds maker of choice,
You brand with them, and you say, all right, you're
the one that sets the odds to create the best
four games possible. Because right now, everything I've seen, if
you took the top five as they stood coming into
this week's action, Florida of State was would be a
double digit underdog.

Against all of them.

Yeah, twelve points or more every one of those games,
right easy. But like that, those were the the look
ahead lines. So if that's the case, they're out because
all these other teams rate better, Yeah, as well as

be an underdog to Texas, three underdog to Ohio State.

had been at Washington in October by three, lost by
three in the rematch tonight, So Washington's the first Pac
twelve team to finish the regular season undefeated since Oregon
in twenty ten. Oregon, by the way, next year, plays

would see USC in this run, whether whoever the quarterback was,
where it was Linered or Sanchez or Booty, whatever it was,
they would play once a year, twice a year, they'd
have that Thursday night or Saturday night game either at
Washington or at Washington State, or at Oregon or at

Oregon State in like early November, where it was cold,
but the atmosphere was insane and it was a game
that USC should win and sometimes they lost it, and
the and the atmosphere was like a regular SEC game
where if Alabama's playing at Mississippi State, like, wow, my god,
Starkville is insane. Well, yeah, because that's the SEC. That's

how big and how powerful and how popular and how
rabbid the Pac twelve was. And in ten years it's
gone to we mismanage it and now.

from a you know, celebrity and that kind of excitement.
I mean, we saw it in September with Colorado, right,
it was a brief period where we recalled all of
those glory days and what ended up happening after the

were telling all these guys to stay away, right, But
you know that was at its peak. I mean, that
was an NFL Sunday, right. That was some of these big,
big time events that we've been able to celebrate here

I mean, sad tonight, they had like some great moments,

great highlights these players. We saw the next round of
NC double A, you know, college Football Hall of Famers,
and Reggie Bush is on that list. You know, like, ah,
you remember how great he was. No Heisman, but you
remember how great he was. But now that the conference
goes into the good night.

But this is how it ends. It said that this
is how it ends from that power that was so great. Yeah,
and this is ten years have gone to now this
is how it ends. Oh, because you assigned a really
terrible TV deal. It's more than that.
