(00:00):
One, O two five, kNIX and the iHeartRadio app. It's Tim

(00:04):
Hatrick, Brook, Hoover and BarrelBoy. And yeah, we've called a
k and IX family meeting, whichis where we share important news, and
this is pretty important now. Thefirst thing we want to say is Brooke
is not pregnant again, Thank youfor that. Make sure that everybody knows
that. But now some changes arecoming to K and I X, the
Tim Brook and Barrel Show and mostimportantly to the life of the guy we

(00:29):
know and love is our hard workingman in the can Barrel Boy take it
away? Yes, I have afriend of mine who is essentially like a
mentor of mine and he has beena huge part of my life. And
he is a senior executive with acompany in the consumer packaged goods basically with
sold in grocery stores. And througha general conversation about six months ago,

(00:53):
we just started talking and as friendsand it evolved into him presenting me with
an opportunity. And this opportunity isan amazing opportunity for me, and I
have had to really think about itand weigh the options and everything, but
I have decided to take that opportunityand with me taking that opportunity. I

(01:17):
will be stepping back from my dayto day role a part of the Tim
Brooke and Barrel Morning Show as yourproducer and whatnot. This was not a
decision that I made lightly. Thiswas a very tough decision for me,
because truly, this is my dreamjob. I mean, I never thought
I would get this far. Iwasn't supposed to get this far, and

(01:40):
here I am. But I weighedthe options not only for myself career wise,
but personally and health wise, andI decided to make this transition.
Now. With that being said,I am not fully leaving. I am
still in the Cani's family. Youwill still see Beryl boy at some big
con it's and events. I'll stillbe around, but you won't hear me

(02:02):
every morning with you two. Andit hurts me to say that. But
I'm very happy with my decision. Now, I have a question. You
can be honest. Was it Tim, No, it was not. I
love both of you, guys.I love everybody in the Kanucks family,
from our listeners to our amazing staffhere everybody. I mean, this was

(02:25):
not an easy decision. This wasa very hard decision for me. It
was one that I never thought Iwould make but I'm I'm confident my decision.
But I'm also very excited that whileI'm taking a step back, I'll
still be able to be with theKannus family at events and whatnot. So
it's almost like a best of bothworlds in some way. Well, it's

(02:46):
a big deal. We're happy foryou for this job opportunity. I know
the guy that you're going to workwith and for he's a tremendous man.
I mean, he's just a reallygood guy. And so I don't blame
you for uh jumping at this chance. Uh you know, we knew at
some point you'd have to put onreal clothes for a living. I mean,

(03:07):
Beryl boy, now, is areyou becoming a man? He's a
man. This is a big soundslike a big boy, grown up job.
It is. I mean, Igotta tell you, it's a VP
role. What what like? It'sa it's a big time job, guys.
And I mean, like I said, it was not an opportunity that
I took, you know, justoh you know whatever, Like this was

(03:28):
something I truly from the barrel tothe boardroom. Man, moving on up.
But I will give barrel boy somuch credit because I don't think the
Knik's family, the listeners understand thathe is the party guy, and that
is true. He is fun.You see him at events. He starts
the party, he drinks. He'sthe subject of the last song from Post

(03:50):
Malone and Morgan Wallen. Yeah, and all that is what we see.
But what you don't see is BarrelBoy as the producer of the Timberk and
Barrel Show and how how hard heworks. I can't get into every single
thing that Beryl does, but heworks so hard for this show everyone.
I'm not surprised he's the VP ofthis company now because of what he does

(04:13):
to make this show work. Tosays the producer, sounds pretty generic.
It's so much more than that. He's extremely hard working. He's dedicated.
He loves the can Ix family likeyou. You have no idea that he's
out on the front lines that ticketstops and appearances, and he's the one
that usually brings back all of theimportant news about any change in You know,

(04:34):
the what you all are feeling orwhat you're going through, and you
know your dedication not only to theshow and making it run every day smoothly,
but also to all of the charitableefforts of can I X over the
years, from the million can Crusadeto the million meal Crusade, everything you've
done for first responders through uh youknow, every time an officer has gone

(04:57):
through something for his family, you'reright there on the streets helping to collect
and fill the gap. You doso so much. You're really a part
of the fabric or the DNA ofK and I X. And so it's
hard to let you walk away fromthe day to day but happy that you
are going to make this really coollife change for yourself. Yeah, you
deserve it. You've worked so hardand you deserve to. You know,

(05:21):
wear a shirt to work. Butcan we ask are you going to get
your own office? Yes? Really? Is it a corner? I don't
know. I don't know about exactlyall that. I yes, I will
have to wear a shirt to workevery day. I will wear closed toed
shoes. What I'm going to haveto like comb my hair, not always

(05:43):
wear a hat. Do you havean assistant? Yes, you will have
an assistant. Will you have abutton on your desk? What you push
it and you'll be like yes,Miss Jenkins send in my ten am please,
Are you going to have a decanter? No, it's not, mad
man. You're gonna be having likethree martini lunches. You're gonna have you

(06:03):
know, old fashions by two o'clockAmerica. This is here's here's the facts,
the key points of all this.Barrel Boy is stepping away from the
day to day show. It's gonnabe the Tim and Brooks show. No
more Barrel as of this. Fridayis your last day. Friday is your
last day. You'll still be apart of the Kanks family. We will

(06:23):
still see you in the barrel fromtime to time at big events, and
we will we'll be rooting for you, but there's no way we can replace
you, but we'll we'll try somehow. But it's gonna be really hard to
sum up and celebrate all that you'vemeant to us and the Knocks family between
now and Friday. But that's ourchallenge and that's what we're gonna do.

(06:45):
Well. I thank you, andI also just want to say thank you
so much to our entire can IX staff here, all the iHeart family.
I mean, this has been aprocess and they've been extremely supportive and
awesome, and I appreciate them andmost importantly, the Kannaks family. All
of that, I mean, thatwas probably the hardest part about wanting to
take this. As great as itwas for me personally, the Canucks family

(07:06):
means so much to me that Ihad to like think, like man do
I But I truly thank everybody.I mean, they have supported a kid
from Detroit who was told by hishigh school teachers you'd never amount to anything,
You're gonna be a loser. Andthey supported me, and they've loved
me for eighteen years. And Itruly say to the Kannucks family, from

(07:30):
the bottom of my heart, Ilove you and I thank you. He
is Vice president, Beryl boy.I still think it's your fault him
