It was like doing work to getlike puny, tiny little snowballs that
we would then run about as closeas we could to the other person,
and they were already melted. Itwould sort of explode before you ever even

tackled to the ground still had itseffect as a dad's I mean, you
look out the window this morning,like my car had a little bit of

frost on it, and the groundlooked really frosty. It looked looked like
it'd be the coldest morning of them, but like it's so warm it feels
amazing. It's gonna be mid fortiestoday. I had people saying they're gonna
wear shorts to work. We've flippedthe sweats ladies. This is West Michigan.
We've gone from like, oh mygosh, it's thirty degrees this morning,

on TikTok, They're like, well, lay out. It's these days that
are notorious for my kids losing theirwinter gear though, like, oh it
was forty five degrees. I hadto shud layers dad, and then after
that they just disappeared into the etheragain. It's the weirdest thing. Movies,

about running for president. He hasentertained the idea before. He even said
in a podcast back in twenty seventeenthat he was thinking of running as a
Republican to challenge Donald Trump, butin the end his family voted down that

lighting last night, and another thanKelly Clarkson work in double duty as both

did this fringe bang thing with herhair. But the amount of weight Kelly

kind of limits the places that you'reI'm listening to something, right, because
to me, it used to besomething you're working out, you're at the
airport. Those are the kind ofpublic places that everybody wears headphones. It's
accepted, and we've been all doingit for a long time back when we
had walked me in, you'd walkthrough the airport with your headphones in.
Now though it's everywhere constantly, andI thought, you know, society has
just sort of accepted this to someextent, and then nobody wants to call

anybody else out for doing this anymore, even though I got some issues with
it. Where in public do youthink it's not appropriate? Because yesterday I
thought I was going to a placethat was appropriate, and other people had
even told me to do it.I went to the dentist with headphones.
So I told you, you know, I've got that. I had to
get the root canal. Yeah,I got the root canal yesterday and it

was it was fine, not aproblem with that. But I was told,
you know, it might be liketwo hours that you're chilling in the
chair too, so bring some headphones, listen to an audiobook or listen to
some music. People said that areyour dentists. My people said that,
Okay, my dentist definitely felt theopposite. WHOA. So I go in
there and I'm waiting and the hygienistjust get me prepared for the dentist to

come and start things, and I'mlike, can I just pop in my
headphones? And she goes, whydon't you ask the doctor? And I
knew right from the way she saidthat that this was going to be something
that annoyed him. And the doctorwas this super friendly guy to the end
of Dante. So I'd never reallyhung out and you know, interacted with
him before, so soft spoken andnice and everything. A bit a bit

older. Yeah, definitely in thiswell, he's going He's talking to me
very softly and very calming, andI'm like, man, what a great
voice for a dentist. And thenI'm like, hey, doct you mind
when we get this thing started,I put in my headphones here and listen
to an audiobook and he goes,well, actually, yes, I do.
I don't want to shout at youwhen I need you to follow my

instructions. And it's he's like,He's like, it's a safety thing,
and it's a personal preference, becauseI actually think it's rude to go to
someone's workplace and not be present forwhat's happening around you. And I'm like,
okay, know what has sufficed.I'm good with the no. But
no, you got straight up stolda little bit. He's about to drop
you from his practice. He saidit in the world's nicest tone, though

SHMITTI I mean, I'm literally he'dbe a great hypnotist. I mean,
this guy's voice was final. It'sinteresting because a lot of dentists provide you
headphones, but is it headphones tolisten to something or headphones just to plug
it and like cover your listen tosomething. I have never been back.
I have a lot of places Iknow that are like, oh, if
you're interested, here's part of theexperience. I've never worn them to the

dentist, but I like talking tomy hygienist, so that's probably why.
And I've never had any kind ofsurgery, so I don't know if it's
a longer one. Yeah, forme, as long as you are not
ordering anything. It drives me nutsto be standing in line behind someone,
whether it's food, coffee, whatever. Yeah, get off your phone,

take your headphones out. I thinkit is so rude when another human being
is trying to have a conversation withyou and serve you in some kind of
way and you're on a phone call, especially if you're bluetoothing it. Yeah,
so they don't know if you're talkingto them or if you're talking to
someone on the other end. Hangup, turn off the audiobook, cut
the music, and have a oneminute conversation and move along. I think

that is so rude. I can'tstand it when somebody is working and they
got headphones in or even just theone AirPod in where they're like, you
know, they're working as a cashierat a gas station. They're working and
doing it and it's like you're workingright now. This isn't like just this
have this in here. I justthink that that's super rude to do.

And I know teachers, especially collegeteachers. College professors say all the time
students are wearing those EarPods in lectureslike what are you there for? So
you put this on Facebook? AndI gotta tell you, Benjamin Patty,
Sheryl Greg, I don't know whatchurch you go to, but if I
ever was caught wearing headphones at church, the mom eyes I would have gotten

at for wearing headphones to church.Correct, I would ever ever do that?

and get away with like playing witha pair of keys in church. I

because the kids got to not onlygo with their families, but staff members

of course the executive director of philanthropyfor the hell of As Children's Hospital
but basically like the hospital mascot.We love that guy. And Bill Schrader,
the ninety four year old veteran who'sbeen doing this now for twenty six
years. Schmidty, who puts upthe lights each and every year, always
adds more to it and loves doingit for the kids. Both of them
got to chat on the impact ofbeing able to be a part of this

with WZZM. This is a specialopportunity for them to really bond and to
encourage and to hopefully inspire those kidsand families who are on long and difficult
medical journeys to know that childhood isstill special and magic and the holidays are

She's really lost. Then she posteda completely nude picture from the beach.
There were more dancing videos that wentup there as well. Now remember
she has said in her best sellershe feels more empowered than ever taking and
posting pictures of herself like this.But it didn't stop fans from popping into

Yeah, but she wasn't playing withknives around her dogs either, So
I mean, you take the goodwith the bad. I guess. I

new podcast. This will be veryinteresting too, because it is going to

and scientist. So we're getting kindof a little bit of a look here
that she might be going the routeof that mental health side of the entertainment

industry. She says they actually metin treatment. They have very similar interests
and their goal is to start abeauty brand in the future. After they
kick this podcast off. It's goingto be called Paul and Amanda. You
know, I bet she's got someilluminating things to talk about too, because
she's quiet while she's gone through thesevery very public mental health struggles of her
own. So I'm sure having aplatform to go and share those experiences is

going to be well, it's gonnabe really good news because it means if
she's willing to talk about it inthis form, she is feeling really really
good because she's someone that has kepther health as the biggest focus. I've

that is very foreign to me becausegrowing up like this would never have been
a thing for me. But recently, my five year old who is in
kindergarten, woke up one day forschool and I'm never at home in the
mornings obviously with this schedule and theseshows. And I got a call from
her husband and he's like, hey, you know, he is having a

hard time today. Just feels likeyou know, big feels I don't think
he slept well. He had areally really tough few days earlier. I
think, I think I'm just gonnakind of give him a mental health day.
And I was like, oh,yeah, that actually like that,
that sounds that sounds good. Didhe probably, you know, just needs
a chance to recharge, you know, peaceful setting nothing to you. And

he's like, you know, hissister's still gonna go to school, but
I think he just kind of needsthe day. We'll spend some time,
we'll run some errands, and we'lljust kind of calm things down a bit.
And I was really appreciative of that. I'm so I was just so
moved by his like intuitiveness about it. Never in my childhood would I have
ever been allowed to take a mentalhealth day from school. And I think

this is a really interesting conversation tohave because mental health has become such a
big part of the conversation lately.Do you believe in that for your kids?
Would you give your kids a dayoff of school to recharge? You
know? I think this is reallyfunny in the sense of we're both a
couple of teacher kids, right,Yeah, But my teacher mom would never

have let this happen. He wouldhave laughed me out of the thing.
Even if I was sick, Ihad to be pugan or I had to
have a few We didn't even missschool for vacations we did not know.
We did not take trips during theschool year, if it was spring break
or Christmas break. It was justvery important. But and I'm not a
teacher, but I do even thinkteacher friends of mine feel the same way.

They're like, yeah, I thinkkids, you know, one or
two mental health days a year isonly going to do them good. I
can think about this from just myperspective as a parent with my own two
children. And while I think thatit's totally kid dependent, right, like
you know your kid better than anybodyelse, so you know whether or not
this is something they can take from. I know my kids, and I
know my kids would try and takeadvantage of this. I know that if

my son had, you know,saw my daughter take up mental health day
and that we talked about it openlylike that, that my little crafty,
little faker would be in there going. You know. Sometimes I just I
just don't feel like I can goto school today like he would. A
parent disadvantage I agree with that,but I think we all know too that
kids know how to push their parents'buttons to some extent. And often Michelle

and I, if we argue aboutsomething, it's because I feel like my
son is trying to pull a fastone on her and she doesn't see it
that he is acting or he isvisa yahav and shit. I also think
there is an age thing here aswell, Like I have a kindergartener who
loves school the same amount that heloves me. He wants to be there

seven days a week. He lovesit so much so for him to be
having a hard time thinking maybe wetake today, I won't hie. If
I had like a seventh grader tellingme this, I'd be like, but,
like, you know what, maybewe just have a red bull and
get on with our day. Maybethat's unfair of me as a mom,
Maybe that makes me a bad mom. But like in high school and stuff,
I think, gosh, there's somuch pressure, there's so much going

on that sometimes I think it canbe a good thing. Never would I
ever have thought i'd say that backwhen I was a kid. What do
you think about this? Giving yourkids a mental health day from school six

I'd be interested to know how officesare going to take that excuse?

Do you tell them? Do yousay they're not feeling well today? You
just go with it not feeling wellbecause there there are states that allow for
mental health days in but to meetmental health is physical health. It's the
same thing. They're not feeling well, they can't come in today. End
of story. And you don't needto say any You don't need to say
any more because I think there's aslight difference in that, like are you
