Shrimp Scandal Alert! A SeaD Consulting study tested 44 Corpus Christi restaurants and found 57% are NOT serving genuine wild-caught Gulf shrimp despite menu claims. Only 19 restaurants confirmed authentic Gulf shrimp, including:
- Water Street
- U&I Restaurant
- Snoopy's
- Catfish Charlies
- There are more but these were the only one's that I have dined at recently so I thought I would include them. Now I want some Water Street!
Retail Update Claire's at La Palmera Mall is closing as part of nationwide downsizing. The company plans to close over 1,000 stores and is seeking buyers for 800+ other locations.

WEIRD NEWS ALERT Horned Rabbits in Colorado - Northern Colorado residents are spotting wild rabbits with black "horns and tentacles" growing from their heads. Don't panic! Colorado Parks and Wildlife says it's SPV virus, spread by fleas and ticks. The horn-like growths are benign and disappear once the bunnies' immune systems fight it off. No risk to humans, but maybe don't pet the horned bunnies.
