Speaker 1 (00:03):
This is the best and you can talk show in America.
The White House and says, we're not even confirming basic details.
Anywhere you have any you go to the Justice Department,
they're the ones taking questions. This essentially ties the hands
of the White House on this matter in terms of
information flow. Democrats on the outside looking in frustrated and
concerned for their colleagues. As one of them said to me,

(00:25):
you know, this week, they were trying to put lipstick
on a pig. The problem is they were handed fifty
pigs and only one stick a lipstick. This is incoming
like they had not anticipated at all before. You know,
the there's an issue when your metaphor becomes so entertaining.
I can't remember what we were talking about. That's ed
o'keep saying. Democrats were frustrated and felt like the White

(00:45):
House was trying to put lipstick on a pig, and
there were fifty pigs and only one stick a lipstick.
Would that be enough? I don't know how long does
the stick a lipstick last? And it's good for fifty
applications or three or I don't know. And what are
the lips on a pig? Is the snout the lips
is a would you put the see before? All built

(01:06):
around the fact that you're trying to make your pigs
sexy enough the couple with I mean, is this a metaphor? Wow? Yes?
Why else, Clym, would you be putting lipstick on your
pig because you can't? I don't know. Maybe it's, you know,
for just a prank. You can't. You put it in
a dress and some lipstick. You can't get a date.

(01:28):
Otherwise you're saying, look at those hams, right, I do love?
Am you put lipstick on the pig and say it's
more or less a girl? No, it's not. It's still
a pig. You can put lipstick on a pig. That's right,
more or less girl? But what a weird metaphor. I
think it's I think it's based in beast reality. That

(01:49):
could be. That could be so um, maybe the pig
identifies as a woman. Back to you. My testa updated
at software over the weekend and announced that I now
have the FSD, the full self driving software available to
me now, no more using your hands and feet like

(02:10):
a sucker. I bought my car used, but whoever bought
it before paid the extra ten thousand dollars to have
the computer software that allows you to have full self driving.
But full self driving hasn't really existed. Ellen oversold the
the availability of that and how much of it was
available to two buyers. And you know, there are some

(02:30):
sec questions over whether or not that was you know,
false salesmanship and that sort of thing, um, because it
was a pretty expensive upgrade, and then you get into
like this is not full self driving um And anyway,
uh so, finally got it over the weekend. I thought, Okay,
I can't wait to check this out. But I had
to read through page after page after page after page
of software on explaining to me how it's still my
responsibility to look at the road and all these different things.

(02:51):
I have to check a box saying I read that,
and then it would go to the next page, you know,
the user agreement stuff. But this was all about um
taking away guess their liability if I allow the self
driving car to you know, run over a kitten or
or an old So anyway, I's pretty excited about checking
it out. So I tried it out for the first time,

(03:12):
and I tried it out in some county roads first
of all, so I typed in an address. Actually the
addressed to our farm and UH, and I just pressed
go and and then off it went. It took off
from a stop, and it came to UH. It turned
on the turn signal, came to a stop, waited until
there were no cars, made left turn, headed down the road.
I mean, it's really really quite impressive. If if Ellen

(03:33):
hadn't sold the world on self driving cars several years
ago and I and I was starting without that knowledge,
it was unbelievable that I'm just sitting there and the
car is doing all this and turning and going the
speed limit and changing lanes. At one point somebody it
was a it was a two lane on each side,
and somebody behind me was kind of slow. So it

(03:54):
waited till there was nobody there, and and and turned
on the signal and went around them to go faster.
It's really really quite impressive. But the first like corner
he came to out on the County Road, it was
going really faster than am I out of time already? Well,
I didn't even get started. I should look at the
clock even get started on my story. We could continue
