So many cringe moments on Friday.

So I don't know if it is that the prosecution
is not calling Brian Higgins on the stand. So that's
why during this cross Alan Jackson is like, you're going
to sit there, this is not an exaggeration for four
hours and you're going to read the text message exchange
between Karen Reid and Brian Higgins. And that is what
he did. For hours.
Speaker 4 (08:41):
He read us the pretty much.
Speaker 1 (08:43):

Last time they kind of gave it to us some
pieces they didn't read this many.

This was from sun up to sun down, every every
test four hours at least at least.

And by the way, it got to the point, I
don't know, you felt like this for him where I
felt like he was like URI started reading it as
if he was them, like Karen, Karenice, I like you,
Brian Higgins, you're hot, like he was using a voice.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
Yeah, he was out there.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
He got to that, the flirting between them. Somebody posted
a meme and I I couldn't stand by it more.
It was like, Karen Reid shouldn't be, you know, about
to go to jail for the rest of her life
because of this John O'Keeffe. She should be arrested because
of the flirtation she had with Brian Higgins. Like that
is how uncomfortable and cringe it is. But guys, they

were They were hanging out, like sneaking around. She was
at his house just a week before John died, like
her yelling and screaming it at John on the voicemail,
calling him a pervert.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
Honey, Yeah, yeah you don't.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
You're a pervert.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
But either way, what stuck out to me from Friday's testimony,
and I actually text a lot with Nick Rocco about it,
was the exchange at the waterfall between the Alberts, Brian Higgins,
and John O'Keeffe. I don't even think we've really gotten
into the meat of the cross yet, because Alan Jackson,
he's bopping, like read these text messages. Okay, now I'm
(10:13):
gonna switch gears and we're gonna go to the waterfall.
Like he's not bringing he hasn't brought together one solid
point yet, but he's setting the scene. He's working at
he's setting the scene. So I think today we'll start
to like see where he's where he's getting. But the
very last text exchange we got between the two between
Brian Higgins and Karen Reid was her texting him Sean
(10:35):
died and then there was no response. But at the waterfall,
about thirty minutes before John lost his life, Alan Jackson
was really honing in on the exchange between what looked
to be and again we cannot see them all at
the same time, which is tough. But what looked to
be an exchange between Brian Higgins, Brian Albert and Chris Albert.
(10:57):
You can tell that Brian Higgins is fired up about
something seemingly looks mad in the video. His body language
looks aggressive, it looks mad. Brian and Chris Albert are
grabbing his arm kind of telling him like calm down,
calm down. He's gesturing over in the direction of where
John is and looks pissed, like he looks mad, and
then John kind of gestures like one quick gesture back
(11:19):
at him.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
But he's paying his bill.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
And you know, you could play Devil's advocate and be
like they're yelling about the Red Sox, but you could
also look at it in a completely different light and
say Brian Higgins wanted he was upset, he was mad
because remember during that time, he's texting Karen and she's
not responding.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
It was sad. He would text Karen.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
And then like kept hitting his phone to see if
she would text back. She's across from you, Sarah, you
can see if she gets.
Speaker 4 (11:44):
Her phone art.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
Yes, I thought Daddy out did a fantastic job on
Friday because again he didn't like hit a point, but
you could totally see he's taking the puzzle pieces and
moving them. He's just not clicking them in yet. They
were setting it up.
Speaker 5 (12:00):
You can get pissed about the Red Sox, but your
friends aren't gonna calm you down about.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
That, you know, right, I'm just like someone's.
Speaker 5 (12:09):
About to fight the other guy that's dating your girl,
and all this stuff the friends, but hey, just relax,
don't do it here, just calm down.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
That's kind of clearly it had to do something with her.
That's kind of.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
What I took it as, Like I'm watching them and
maybe he's saying to the albuts like I'm about to
say something.
Speaker 4 (12:23):
I'm about to say something to him like his girls whatever,
you know.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
And then you think to yourself, if in fact there
was this nasty back back and forth exchange at.
Speaker 4 (12:32):
The waterfall, why would you go to the house.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
Why would he then go to a party with all
of the guys that were just.
Speaker 7 (12:40):
Yeah, but if you're thinking about it's only one guy
who was upset with him, right, and at the end
of the day, like you're just not going to go
to a party just because you had a little spat
with your boy, you know what I mean. Like you're
not thinking like you're all drunk too. Yeah, you're not
thinking I'm gonna end up like not here.
Speaker 4 (12:56):
You know what I'm saying, right, Yeah, you're just.
Speaker 7 (12:59):
Thinking it's a little argument. This is what we do
all the time anyway, you know what I'm saying, I
wouldn't feel like, nah, I don't feel comfortable enough to
go back.
Speaker 4 (13:05):
To the crib.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Yeah, I could see myself being like, this is due,
but I'm going home. But I could also see myself, Yeah,
you're like, let's just co happen.
Speaker 4 (13:13):
It's a big deal. Yeah, I don't know. You could
look at it multiple different ways, but I was.
Speaker 3 (13:20):
I was interested about it with Nick Rocco because I'm like,
you know that it tells a story either way, whatever
way you kind of want to look whatever frame you
want to look through. So anyways, Yuri Buchanic back on
the stand today. But I can't imagine him going home
to his wife being like hold me, yeah, because I
mean reading that, I mean, the flirting between the two

of them was so sick.
Speaker 4 (13:44):
If that is what flirting is, I don't want it.
That's how bad it was.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Like, no, like that ringe you're hot?
Speaker 4 (13:53):
Do you think I'm hot? Why do you like? I mean,
just what do you call that? They have like nickname
for each other? What do you Oh?
