Speaker 1 (00:00):
Especially in the morning show.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
And you need to know.

Speaker 3 (00:04):
We got you three things you need to know on
Bustin's number one for hip hop and the best throwbacks.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
You haven't any more fires.

Speaker 4 (00:13):
Today, we're sending a clear message that we will never
give into extortion, because that's what it was.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
They tried to extore, the Democrats tried to extort our country.

Speaker 4 (00:24):
Well, we don't need to point fingers. It's it's over
and now. But he loves pointing fingers. Thursday, November thirteenth,
and the government is back to governmenting people. The shutdown
is officially over after its historic run forty three days,
the longest in the history. Thank god, because Christmas is
around the corner, Thanksgiving is literally here. I mean, we're

(00:44):
two weeks away from the Turkey. It's like people got
to go places. That's the biggest travel day of the year,
the Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving yesterday, Just to put things
into perspective for you, nine hundred flights were canceled and
twenty two hundred flights were delayed. We got to get
the people back in the towers to say this plane
can take off at this time, and this plane can

(01:04):
tick up at that time. Or else, it's going to
continue to get ugly, and especially for people who are
trying to go away for the holidays.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Not good.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
I wonder how long it's gonna take to get people
back to work, because I assume that today's probably not
the day because the thing would just signed last night,
so is it monday?

Speaker 4 (01:16):
Doing this through the weekend, and it was just everything
was something like they have agreed. Now they've put it
on you know, DT's desk. Now he has to sign it.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
It's like for the god, it's just like, let's get
back to work.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Honestly, let's let's get back on planes and have them
beyond time.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
Yes, that sounds nice. All right, let's talk about Tory Lanes.
Poor Tory, if any of you feel that way, because
he has denied it again looking for an appeal after
he was found guilty of shooting our gal Meg thee
Stallion in the foot, A three judge panel unanimously upheld
Tory's conviction on his three felony accounts for the twenty
twenty shooting.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
I can't believe that was in twenty twenty. It feels
like it was closer.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Definitely was, But that was a quarantine, right.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Well, yes, quarantine radio. I went, I went into there.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
He was found guilty in twenty twenty two, by the way,
and he is currently serving a ten year since almost
got killed in there once.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
He's not getting out. No, it's done.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
But that was in twenty twenty year. We halfway through
a cent to his prison term, or.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
He didn't, I don't think, well, actually yeah, I don't.
I don't know when he started his time.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
I mean at the very least five years life, which
is still a lot.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
Yeah, that's a lot of Christmases behind bars. Meg, by
the way, hasn't commented on the ruling. I'm just going
to put this out there because I know it's going
to upset you. The latest with Meg is she just
did an interview with one of the magazines and she
said she's really hopeful to do the super.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Like to do it like as an attend because she's
not performing. Nothingst her.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
But I know, honey, years of hits, Yeah, a little
bit like Michael Jackson, like a little bit of time
all right. And lastly, I feel like this is one
Hollywood Walk Fame star that you can get behind.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
But I will let you speak. But remember the man's
no longer with us, So let's be careful here, can't
get mad.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
He right, Chadwick Boseman is going to get a posthumous
star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This one actually
makes sense to me. Sometimes we do these stars and
I'm like, what especially you? But Viola Davis will speak
on his behalf and his widow, Simone will accept the honor.
The ceremony is going to take place in just a
couple days, actually next Thursday. He passed away in twenty

(03:29):
twenty from colon cancer at just forty three years old.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
But in Hollywood, the talks of Chadwick was like he
would have.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Just please, with all due respect, I think he only
got one because he had passed away. His resume is good.
He made some good films, but he didn't reach the
iconic status that some others have.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
But we don't know if he ever would have. We
don't know, and they're given, they're given the stars to anybody.
So at this point I think he does well.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Let me say, his acting credibility was absolutely amazing. He
could do everything action, drama, you know, so he was good.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Yeah, there you have.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
It's three things you need to know for Thursday. November thirteenth,
A lot nicer than I.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Thought he was gonna be. Guys, that's really good.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Right, So let's do the check in here because you know,
we've been chatting about a lot of things. You might
want to comment on. You might have a story you're
dying to tell me. Trust me, I want to hear it. Uh,
what's going on?

Speaker 1 (04:20):

Speaker 2 (04:21):

Speaker 4 (04:51):
You call us and we talk about you in your life?
Six one seven nine three one one nine four five
six one seven nine three one one nine four five.
It could be anything you want. Jay is in Boston.
Jay wants to give some love to his kids.

Speaker 5 (05:06):
That's nice Jay, the kids and my friends.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
But yeah both, Jay, can you do me a favor
and turn down the radio in the background.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
Oh oh yeah, Well nobody wants to hear me talk
listening to you guys morning.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
I love it, Jay, Thank you all right. So yeah,
let's talk about your kids and your friends. Who do
you like more?

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Well?

Speaker 5 (05:27):
I like all my kids. I don't. I don't give
special treatments and none love that.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
How many you got?

Speaker 5 (05:32):
I got six of them?

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Damn.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
The man's got starting the starting five and a sub
can and the other kids get tired.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Uh oh j that's good for you. Man. Just out
in a boat. Santi tells me you're also a tattoo artist.

Speaker 5 (05:48):
Yeah, I'm out from Boston to Metapan.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Where can where can we see your work? Do you
have an Instagram account?

Speaker 6 (05:55):

Speaker 5 (05:55):
Yeah, it's uh I think life three six stars, ink Life.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Three six five, I n K L I f E
three six five correct.

Speaker 5 (06:08):
Check, I do traveling too.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
Okay, I'm gonna check out your line work here. See
what you got. What do you specialize in?

Speaker 5 (06:17):
Well, a little bit of everything. You know, practice makes perfect,
So I just practice on everything to try to make
you know, my perfection.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
Is Yeah, I actually see you did a man's bald
head at one point, son just saying, just saying, have
you ever thought of doing that?

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Getting a tattoo on your head? I think Joanne woul
one hundred percent leave no, but I know.

Speaker 5 (06:37):
That people are now thought about doing that. It was
an idea of mine. Eventually, when I cut my hair,
that's gonna be my next.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Thing answer for you. All right? Cool? Wow? Right?

Speaker 4 (06:50):
Do you ever worry about spelling words wrong? Because I
see you do a lot of word work on here,
like discipline.

Speaker 5 (06:56):
Before I before I even do the placement. Hi double check,
I triple track, just you know, to confirm with the
person before I actually do the tattoo. Now, if there
was ever a time where I messed up, it's definitely
never my fault.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Where did you know?

Speaker 5 (07:12):
I did it one time where the person they they
broke the name wrong. After I did it, they looked
at me and it was like, oh my god, I've
been misspelled it. So I'm waiting for that was like
what years ago, about five ten years ago.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Yeah, I'm been fixing it though.

Speaker 5 (07:32):
So it's okay.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Well okay, well well that's good. All right.

Speaker 4 (07:36):
Well I'm looking at your picture right now I see,
where'd you learn your your craft?

Speaker 2 (07:40):
Where did you learn the tattoo?

Speaker 6 (07:42):
Honestly, I started with og named Calico Jack, and then
I worked my way up and I started working with
the great artists in Rhode Island, Casey Casey's tattoos.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
I see you have a face tattoo.

Speaker 5 (08:01):
Mm hmm, yeah, maybe my eyebrow?

Speaker 2 (08:05):
What made you do that?

Speaker 4 (08:08):
Okay, all right, all right, any of the ladies in
your life feel the type of way about that?

Speaker 5 (08:13):
Uh no, nobody should, especially with my grandmother, right, No, I.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
Know, but you know then they're like, you have her name?

Speaker 5 (08:22):
No, no, no, that doesn't That doesn't fly with me.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
I love it, all right.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
Well, son loved all six of the babies for me,
will you?

Speaker 5 (08:30):
Yeah, definitely, especially my oldest son. Game.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
Yeah, Santi wants to know if all six have the
same mom.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
No, you're welcome.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
I got that answer.

Speaker 5 (08:41):
One of you.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
One.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
Oh get some serious game home game.

Speaker 5 (08:49):
Relast things happened?

Speaker 6 (08:52):
Yeah and.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
It Nick Cannon, if Jay smells near you, you're pregnant,
like no, Cannon, Okay, okay.

Speaker 5 (09:02):
I'm gonna go. I A'm gonna go. I am beating him.
He got too many.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
Well, you're ri ink Life three sixty five. If you're
looking for a tat in the Matapan area. Jay, thank
you so much for the call.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
Beb Hi everybody, good morning.

Speaker 4 (09:17):
It's Ashley in the gym of Morning show. Aj is
ow e double is in? And why do you think
E devil just chose a Joiner Lucas song to be
playing out of me?

Speaker 2 (09:25):
I see, I see what he's doing. I see what
he's doing. Official like d that's right, that's a that's
a smart man right there. He's like, don't worry, ash
I'll get you some music. All right.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
We're doing the check in six one seven nine three
one one nine five the six one seven nine three
one one nine five call me talk about whatever you want.
I'm going on your life. Michelle is in Rockland. Michelle
wants to shout out the Rockland and Abington Police.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Are they keeping you safe over there in Rockland?

Speaker 7 (09:52):
Michelle, Well, they are keeping us safe. But my shout
out is my dad was a retired rock and Police officer.
He passed away on November fourth, and Tuesday and Wednesday
were his services. And she's deoli of the rock and
Police Department and all his offices and the Avington Police

(10:14):
where his services were were phenomenal. The way they sent
him off, the way they stopped traffic and saluted hers
as it went by. They did him proud, and me
and my siblings were rarely touched with that. It was
freezing out they were at the cemetery, the honor God.

(10:36):
I also want to shout out the big the Magoon
Biggin's funeral home. They did everything from A to Z
for me. I didn't have to do anything. They set
everything up and he was just honored so greatly, and
I just I'm so thankful.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
Well, let's start out with I'm so sorry for your loss,
you know, losing a parent as it's the unthinking and
I know so many you know people go through it
and people have called us that are going through it,
and I can't imagine how that would feel. And so
number one, I'm sorry for that. Number Two one thing
that I've seen, especially being married to a firefighter, is
these guys really really really rally around each other, whether

(11:16):
whichever department that they're in. So I love I love
hearing that that that they did right by your dad.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
Thank you.

Speaker 7 (11:25):
Yeah, they really really did. I mean, we were just
touched by everything that they did at the at the wake,
the rock and Police offices all of them lined up
and each one went to the caskin and saluted him
and it was just amazing.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
Now I have tears in my eyes.

Speaker 7 (11:44):
Yeah, it was amazing. And then the funeral possession procession
just you know, the Rockland Police offices car in the
motorcycle and then all the Apvington Police offices stopping traffic
and salute and it was just amazing and we are
so grateful.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
Well shout out to the Rockland Abington Police Department for
doing that and doing right by your dad. And again
I'm so sorry for your loss.

Speaker 7 (12:10):
Thank you. And also Ashley, you're a great mother.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
Yeah. Well we don't know who these strangers are on
my Instagram right now, but you I trust, Michelle.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Thank you for the call.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
That is sad and so I you know, as that
was happening, I'm like, let me give you guys a
little laughy laugh after hearing something like that. I never
even told you this song because I genuinely am I'm embarrassed.
I'm driving home the other day and I'm drinking my
coffee and I'm listening to my you know book on
tape and I go to get over in a lane

(12:41):
and the guy is like, we're on ninety three. He
is slamming on his brakes in front of me, and
I'm like, I'm not understanding.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
I'm going go go. It was a hearse. Oh my god,
it was the funeral possession. I was behind. I was
behind the hearse.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
You're like going to heaven.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
In the morning show, Good Morning, Sustain's number one for
hip hop jam in ninety four or five.

Speaker 4 (13:15):
Hi, everybody, Good morning, Sashley and the jam in Morning Show.
I'm sure you guys have seen it by now, but
there was this massively trending story over the last twenty
four hours.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
That an alligator was spotted along the Charles River.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
Which is crazy.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
So I saw the initial video.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
It was a female I think she was jogging or something,
and she showed it like a little video and it
was a whole mini ol and a baby alligator in
the Charles.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
Now, I don't, I'm not a reptilian connoisseur. Okay, I don't.
I don't know things that alligator's not going to survive
in that winter.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
No, I would assume the minute it gets cold it
would die or once it freezes.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
Right, so you know, you know how the city is.
Everybody was coming together. They were like, we have to
get this alligator out of here. I can report as
of this morning. You'll be happy to know that the
alligator has since been saved Happy Rescue tonight.

Speaker 8 (14:15):
He was just tucked down lane on the bottom. It's
too cold for him to be out swimming around.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
We spoke to Joseph Kenny, the owner of Joe's Crazy
Critters and his one year old alligator al earlier this
evening after this little guy took a dip in the
Charles River. We have the location of the alligator where
it was last scene. Would you go look.

Speaker 8 (14:33):
For it if you want to give it to me.
I'm happy to go look for it, happy to take
a ride out there and see if we can grab it.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
And that's exactly what he did.

Speaker 8 (14:43):
Actually in that same year, you guys had sent me
the location after we spoke. He was tucked down into
some reeds kind of along the edge of the and
about a foot in a half of water and he
was just tucked you on lane on the bottom.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
Whitney Lieberman first saw the baby alligator her run Tuesday morning.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
He was floating just right on the surface near the concrete.
I was so caught off.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
Guard that I didn't really like to grab anyone else
and be like has anyone else seen what I'm seeing here?

Speaker 4 (15:10):
My body would be like it's a lizard. I also
am like, here's the thing. This is why these people
need to exist in this world. Like Danielle Murry from
ZLX down the hall, she's like she probably went to
look for it as well. I saw this story and
I was right onto the next like a wicker tree
from Target that I thought was cute.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
You know, I don't.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
I can't, like I'm not going to get this reptile out.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
I think for like a lost dog you go look
for you see a puppy, like, oh, can I help you?

Speaker 4 (15:38):
Well, even remember that like very rare bird was in
Marshfield and people were flocking to Marshfield to see it
that like pink bird.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
I felt in my.

Speaker 4 (15:45):
Body it'd be cool if I was out and about
and I saw the bird.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
I didn't go looking for it.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
That do you remember? More recent than that was the
lizard that was on.

Speaker 4 (15:53):
The loose in like it wasn't Yes, it was a monitor.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Yes, yeah, yes, People but this is the problem. This
is why you should not be able to own these
types of pets. And the alligator clearly was somebody that
they were like, listen, I can't keep this anymore. Let
me just go ditch it by the Charles.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
Well, how about the story too a couple of days
ago and may he rest in peace. But the guy
who died in his basement amongst like eighty five you're smirking,
but it's not funny because he's dead.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
But seventy five snakes down.

Speaker 4 (16:21):
Yeah, and when the house burnt down you could see
like the snake bodies.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Yeah, it's really I just think it's really weird that
somebody would call like sixties or eighty snakes and put
them in their house. Again, what do you do once
you're done with them, Like you just leave them out
in the open, and then this is what happens.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
People that own repped Now listen, we don't know how weird. Yeah, yeah, don't.
I don't know how this alligator got to the Charles.
He was baby one.

Speaker 4 (16:47):
He's safe, by the way, you know, he's fine. I
have long thought that anybody in this world that actively
went to a pet store and got themselves, a snake,
a lizard like those are the guys that probably still
live with their mom in their mid thirties.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
And the toughest part about that is, you know where
I'm headed?

Speaker 1 (17:07):
I do.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
My husband owned one. My husband owned a snake, and
I should have known that there was something really.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Off about that. I saw one of them an the
reptile though.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
Good morning Bastin's number one for hip hop jam in
ninety four or five.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
Ooh baby, ooh baby, that is going to do it
for us. I got major things to do at home today.
I bought a sixty foot wreath.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Oh what why?

Speaker 8 (17:43):
I know?

Speaker 2 (17:43):
It is so massive?

Speaker 4 (17:46):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
I don't even I know.

Speaker 4 (17:47):
When the box came and the fireman SAWID, he was like,
why why do I because remember I'm not supposed to
be adding Yeah, and I did promise I wouldn't add
anything to the collection of decors after the Grinch.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
But I couldn't.

Speaker 4 (17:59):
I just thought, how cool would it be to be
driving up to the house and have this huge, massive
lit on the house with a.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
Big red boat.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
Couldn't you see one that's ten feet?

Speaker 8 (18:09):
Like?

Speaker 1 (18:09):
Why sixty feet? Because I understand that, like if you're
going to see it.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
I want people to see it from the road.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
You want people who are flying in planes to see
it from the sky. Oh my god.

Speaker 4 (18:20):
But it's been sitting in the foyer of the house
because it's it needs to be like screwed together with
bolts because it's so big. So that's the that's the
that's on the GP today. We're gonna get that done.
I'm also feeling like maybe a Christmas tree this weekend.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
Really, you know what, we have a spot because we're
going to buy a real one for this season to
put in the family.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
Regret that.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
Yeah, not for the smell, because the smell is the
ten out of ten. It's the pine needles.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
But the kids, they've asked for it, so we're going
to Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:50):
Is it too early though? Did they come out this weekend?

Speaker 2 (18:53):
That's a good question.

Speaker 4 (18:54):
I will also just say to you, I know you, Joanne,
in the house, a lot of trees light up because
people don't get rid of them right away.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
I know you will be down immediately.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
We also live in the woods. We just go out
in the woods. In the woods.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
That's amazing, all right.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
Shout outs yeah, please Instagram shout outs going out to
Solo Cups Saturdays and biz Burger on.

Speaker 2 (19:10):

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
