Speaker 6 (01:52):
Up, Wake it up.

Speaker 7 (01:57):
People.

Speaker 6 (01:58):
Hi, very I we're in a very weird place.

Speaker 8 (02:02):
I feel like because yesterday was Tuesday, and it's my
It was my birthday and we celebrated hard.

Speaker 6 (02:07):
So now my mind is not computing that it's only Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Because we like celebrate on the weekend.

Speaker 6 (02:13):
Here's what happened.

Speaker 8 (02:14):
I know, I said I wasn't drinking yesterday. Believe that
where people were at with that. So then after I
worked out, I had this urge to want to have
just one singular glass of champagne.

Speaker 6 (02:28):
So I called the fireman.

Speaker 8 (02:28):
I said, let's get a mini bottle of clicks a
Vove and then that's one glass each and that will
stop us, because we all know I don't have self control.
So he's like, no, we have a whole bottle in
the fridge. I said, well, we were saving that for
Stevie Nixt. He's like, so there's stores and I'll go
it and I'll buy it. So then we cracked the

(02:53):
regular size of the Clakus, so then we had a
whole bottle of champagne. And so that got me like
a little buzzy, and then we continued on. Now I
don't even think my eyes were opened by like eight ten.
But nonetheless, if I'm drinking like that, my body thinks
it's a Friday essentially what I'm getting at.

Speaker 6 (03:12):
But I'm yeah, why.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Can't you just stop when your body gets buzzy? As
you say, That's the part I don't understand.

Speaker 6 (03:18):
No, that's a solid question.

Speaker 8 (03:20):
I when I was pulling the vodka out, that's when
I was like, this is I have a deep rooted issue.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Because that buzzy feeling is when it's so enjoyable and
you're not sick, you're not drunk. It's like a social
like you're on a little roller coaster. When you sit
down to go to the bathroom, you feel like, I
love it. Like when your body says I want the
five out.

Speaker 8 (03:38):
Yeah, when your hand, when your hands going into the
liquor cabinet you're pulling that out, that's definitely when you know. Yeah,
I don't know because I didn't plan on it, and
then I start getting excited and it turned into a
whole thing. But anyways, the fireman made filet fialats for
us with horse Radish mashed potatoes because I love horse
Radish salads. He made home garlic bread. The man he

(04:02):
chefed up last night for me. It was really nice.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
And how were the filets, because you know, the worst
thing you can possibly get is a filet that's overcooked.

Speaker 6 (04:09):
How do you like yours?

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Medium?

Speaker 8 (04:11):
Okay, I'm a medium rare galley okay?

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Good? Yeah, so you know that there are places in
Boston and just around the world where the chef refuses
to cook a filet beyond beyond medium.

Speaker 8 (04:22):
Because it's absolutely as a sin to you anything like that,
like if you don't have a little bit of reddish
in there, like it.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Just feels like it sounds like it's like a hockey pucket.

Speaker 8 (04:31):
It's I've also ordered a medium rare before and it's
come out like damn near purple. Yeah, yeah, so yeah,
it all depends on where you go. But it was
it was a really good night. What we can save it?
I can't, but there was a little bit of disappointment

(04:53):
in what he got me. Now, now listen, he got
me the Stevie Next tickets.

Speaker 6 (04:58):
That was the real gift.

Speaker 8 (04:59):
But he said he felt like he had to hand
like physically hand me something because it was my birthday
because we're not going to Stevie for two weeks. And
the man spent one hundred and seventeen dollars on it.
And I was flabbergasted, as you didn't.

Speaker 9 (05:14):
Like what it was.

Speaker 8 (05:15):
Flabbergast it is in what are you doing with your
like why are you who? You spend one hundred dollars
in this? Oh man, yeah, so any time birthday.

Speaker 5 (05:22):
Well like what it acts casually Jamie Morning Show and
you need to know.

Speaker 10 (05:27):
No, we got you three things you need to know
on Boston's number one for hip hop and the best
throwbacks you haven't any more vis.

Speaker 5 (05:34):
Are you kidding me?

Speaker 2 (05:35):
What an amazing catch by Grochowski. Oh my god, I've
seen it all out by this guy.

Speaker 11 (05:40):
With the forty second pick in the twenty ten NFL Drafts,
the New England Patriots select Rob Gronkowski tight end Arizona.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
I'm Rob Gronkowski tight end for the New England Patriots.

Speaker 11 (05:54):
I'll be doing my job out on the field, and
also I'll be being myself and having a lot of fun.

Speaker 12 (06:00):
The fourteenth annual New England Patriots Ron Burton Community Service
Award to Patriots tied in Rob Gronkowski.

Speaker 11 (06:10):
It was just honored to see and I just wanted
to be part of it and give back to the
community in a positive way.

Speaker 8 (06:16):
You have it Wednesday, November twelfth, and our guy Gronk
is signing his one day contract to retire as a
Patriot today. I had no idea that he was doing
this to fulfill a wish of a close friend who
just recently passed of cancer at the age of sixty two.

(06:37):
But her name was Suzanne Hurley, and she was a
local philanthropist philanthropist, and Gronk and her had developed a
very close friendship through doing some charity work here in
New England. And at one point she just said, hey,
can we make it official. We need to sign him
for one day so he can retire here as a Patriot.
She passed away. But Gronk is fulfilling his end of

(06:58):
the deal and the bar, and he will today retire
as a Patriot. This is like the least shocking thing. Yeah,
I feel like this had to happen. I mean, Gronk
still refers to Foxborough as his home field.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Listen, the Patriots don't need them need him because they're
eight and two. But Gronk still looks like he can play.

Speaker 6 (07:14):
He really does. It looks like he wants to anymore.

Speaker 8 (07:17):
Even when Tom was asking him to do that, was
it flag football or whatever?

Speaker 6 (07:22):
He was like, are you sure it's flag? It's no tackle?

Speaker 2 (07:24):
Right, Because most of the time what happens these NFL
guys retire, they put on a little bit wait and
then they all look like they used to when they're
playing days, he still looks like he can get out
there and catch them passes right.

Speaker 8 (07:33):
Well, listen, I think this is a beautiful thing. I
didn't know that there was this story behind it, but this,
this makes the most sense. The only thing about Gronk,
in my humble opinion, that does not make sense is
why is he not married to Camille Costa?

Speaker 1 (07:48):
Like?

Speaker 6 (07:48):
What are we doing with that? Y'all have been together
for ten years now. I don't know what are we
waiting for? What is the hold up?

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Because they never seem to have any problems, but they
seem very committed to each other. So what are you
dragging your feet on rock?

Speaker 8 (08:00):
We want to commitment in diamond form. Maybe they had
agreement in the beginning of the relationship they didn't want
to get married. I don't know what's going on, but
that's the one thing about Gronk I just can't get home.

Speaker 6 (08:08):
Yea something that?

Speaker 8 (08:10):
All right, let's stay in Boston sports and talk hoops
with Paul Pierce. Unfortunately he won't be on a basketball
court today, but you will catch him in court. Paul
is facing two misdemeanor drunk driving charges, and he has
scheduled to be in court today, the bodycam footage was released.
Now let's backtrack. So Paul Pierce goes out to dinner.

(08:32):
He admittingly has a few drinks. He is driving home
in la He tweets out, I took this picture that
night because I'd never been in such standstill traffic for
this long. I'm old, I'm tired, and I fell asleep.
There he is showing that he was in just bumper
to bumper traffic the same night he got pulled over.
Now hours after the traffic went away, he fell asleep

(08:53):
behind the wheel. He was just asleep. So the the
cops roll up on him and there's Paul Pierce just noted.
So they say, hey, it looked like he was maybe
under the influence. He ends up taking multiple sobriety tests
for him. Bodycam footage just come out. He he wasn't,
you know, reluctant to do so, he was willing to
do it. He did, in fact blow a point eight.

(09:14):
He was so close to being okay. But here's a
little clip in the body.

Speaker 6 (09:17):
Camstall where'd you play it?

Speaker 2 (09:24):
Boston Boston College.

Speaker 5 (09:28):
Professional Paul Pierce, Oh my god.

Speaker 13 (09:34):
He's like, yeah, cops aren't allowed to act like that
in front of celebrities, like you just felt like the
man was asleep at the wheel, and oh, Paul Pierce.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
Like in the other part about it too, Like if
you're gonna react like that, you really can't go and
arrest him afterwards. I can, but like get him a
ride or something.

Speaker 8 (09:51):
Right after all that Boston, he said no, like the Celtics,
I played professionally.

Speaker 6 (09:59):
I mean, listen, I would act the same way.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
I've also heard that when they offer you the breath
of lazard to deny it because you just never know
what it's gonna come back.

Speaker 6 (10:07):
You could do in the movies. I don't know if
you can do that in real life.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
I feel like you might get arrested, but I think
you have less evidence.

Speaker 6 (10:12):
I think he genuinely listen. I think it was a combination.

Speaker 8 (10:16):
Maybe he had one or two drinks and that's what
made him additionally sleepy, and he really was tired, and
I am sure he probably blew because he was like.

Speaker 6 (10:24):
There's no way, yeah, yeah, I mean, but there's no way.
I just slept it off.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
Buzz driving is drunk driving, as they say.

Speaker 8 (10:30):
Yes it is, so I don't know why you're saying
it to me like that. You know, I wasn't looking
at I never left my house yesterday. Judge you there
all right, and now let's go, Jill, let's talk Diddy.
Mugshots of Diddy is out and about now. It's a
blurry one. It came out a couple of days ago.
I wish we got something better. I think I liked

(10:53):
the pictures of him hanging out in the courtyard smiling
and laughing better because the mugshot.

Speaker 9 (10:57):
Is so so.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
But you can still kind of see that he has
age a lot, not in the years.

Speaker 6 (11:01):
But just in like gone, Yeah, he's completely gray.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
It's just not what we're used to seeing.

Speaker 6 (11:06):
So much drama.

Speaker 8 (11:07):
He's been in Fort Dix for like five seconds, and
we know that there was the old did He's been drinking?
Now it's such a back and forth thing. But TMZ
is saying, we can one hundred percent confirm that our
sources are telling us that did he got caught with moonshine?
Remember did he? And made sure that his camp tweeted

(11:27):
out not true, like that did not happen. We also know,
and this one's even more recent, that Diddy's looking at
some at some more news that he made a three
way call inside of Fort Dix. Now this is interesting
to me because anytime anybody calls us from jail on
this show, it's a three way call.

Speaker 6 (11:48):
We're actually E doubles in this week, and E Double.

Speaker 8 (11:51):
Gets more jail calls than anybody, and they always come
three way, right, somebody's got to call them or they
call that and then that person like.

Speaker 6 (11:58):
The three way. It happens, but it is not legal
in jail.

Speaker 8 (12:02):
And I guess Diddy has been working as the chaplain's assistant,
so he now has accents access to the chaplains assistant's
office wherein he made.

Speaker 6 (12:12):
This quote three way call.

Speaker 8 (12:13):
Now it looks like it was just a family type
of call, but nonetheless you're not allowed to do it.
So he did get a disciplinary citation for making that
unauthorized phone call. And when that happens, you not only
lose phone privileges, but you also lose some commissary privileges.

Speaker 6 (12:32):
No honeybuns for Dinny, Now that can go multiple ways.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
I mean that joke, the not the tart, but everything helps.
These all seem to be minor things, but because it's him,
I feel like they're looking at him like extra.

Speaker 8 (12:45):
Yeah, like, did he thought he was gonna sneak in
that office and make a three way call he came
be doing. I'm sure he called like one of his kids,
and then that kid was like, oh, let me call
Justin or whatever, you know, and then that's how it
all happens.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
But the Moonshine, though, come on, did you know better
than that?

Speaker 8 (12:57):
There's like, there's just so many rumors, like we don't
know what's true because there's a rumor that during that
freeway call, they made a plan as to what people
were what they were going to send to the blogs
or what they were going to tweet out about the
Moonshine And if that is the case, you like, you really.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
Can't be doing that it he's an idiot. Come on, man,
I mean.

Speaker 8 (13:13):
Sean all right, then this great thing he's know for Wednesday,
November the twelfth, we are going to do those tickets
to New Edition Boys to Men Tony Brax and we've
been switching it up every day. Today it will happen
at eight twenty. That show, by the way, is February fifteenth,
the day after Valentine's Day at the Garden. We're going
and we were promised by our guy Michael Bimins. Were
gonna be backstage, but you'll be there too.

Speaker 6 (13:35):
Eight twenty Good morning.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Say in the in Morning Show.

Speaker 10 (13:39):
Good Morning, Boston's number one for hip hop jam in
ninety four or five.

Speaker 8 (13:46):
Hi, everybody, good morning. It's Ashley and the Gym in
Morning Show. A big topic of conversation over the last
few days has been my birthday and obviously that was yesterday,
and that I'm really hard to buy gifts for. And
I couldn't agree with you guys more. I'm not even
and like fighting it at this point. I am hard
to buy gifts for because I'm old now and when
I want something desperately, I just buy it for myself.

Speaker 9 (14:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
But it's not that though. It's the fact that you
tell people who buy you something you don't like the gifts.

Speaker 6 (14:12):
No, I don't.

Speaker 8 (14:12):
You've done it to me, okay, but I'm trying to
You're right, I have done it in the past, and
I'm trying to be better now.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
No.

Speaker 6 (14:18):
I know I should just lie, but then they're like, oh,
do you like this? Would you use it?

Speaker 8 (14:22):
And it's just uncomfortable. But I feel like my friends
have done They've they understand the assignment now and they
get it and they buy me things like I'm wearing
a full sweatsuit that my best friend Jodi sent me. Well,
you know, a little black sweatsuit that's really nice.

Speaker 6 (14:38):
Thank you. Yeah, you're not missing with that.

Speaker 8 (14:41):
My friend Casey, after we worked out yesterday, she got me,
you know when I work out in the gym, she
got me the mats the tiles for the bottom in
your garage. Oh sorry, so you can put because she
always sees that I have, like the weights down on
a towel or whatever it is. So she got me,
which is amazing because I would never have bought those
and I need them.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
And now to your point too, if when you do
communicate and have a fully understanding of like what you like,
it's easy to shop you. Because I did buy you
like a sweater like two months ago, that's perfect.

Speaker 6 (15:07):
I was obsessed. Yeah, I was at was that my
birthday gift two months ago?

Speaker 8 (15:11):
Are we counting?

Speaker 9 (15:11):
Both?

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Think gift will come in a couple of weeks.

Speaker 6 (15:12):
Okay, I'll be forty two when I get my thirty nine.

Speaker 8 (15:16):
But anyways, the fireman got me Stevie Next tickets, which
is very exciting. But I totally get his feeling of
he wanted to physically hand me something yesterday he felt
weird because we're not going to Stevie for another two weeks.
So he comes out with the Well, first off, the
last week or so, all we've been saying in the
house is like, we have too much candy in here.

(15:38):
We just want to get rid of the candy. We
can't look at another piece of candy. His mom shows
up with her present for me, massive box of Phillips
Chocolate House candies best, by the way, best if you
are local to Dorchester and you can hit the Phillips
Chocolate House there, It'll be the best decision you've ever made.
I've never had a better peanut butter cup in my life. Anyway, out,

(16:01):
he comes with my birthday gift yesterday and he puts
it down and he goes, I know this is the
last thing we need.

Speaker 9 (16:06):
But.

Speaker 8 (16:09):
It's another box of chocolates. It's another box of chocolate.
So first off, we you know, the joke is that
we're turning into like my gut is Halloween candy at
this point, Like that is that's who I am. I
That's how I identify now is candy? So He puts
this box in front of me, and he's like, Ash,
I have to tell you the price on it.

Speaker 6 (16:30):
I just looked it up.

Speaker 8 (16:31):
He was saying one hundred and seventeen dollars. It was
one hundred and twenty five dollars. Okay for handcrafted New
York Times Award winning Sea Salted Caramel ganache, layered with
chewy caramel and smothered in premium dark chocolate, A pinch
of Brittany sea salt is the perfect finishing flourish, luxuriously

(16:53):
packaged in Jean Marie All Bond chocolate tear box with
a magnetic closure.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Listen, I'm going to tell you that that chocolate sounds
pretty amazing. It sounds like it tastes really special, but
not for one hundred and twenty four five one.

Speaker 8 (17:06):
Hundred and twenty by that Well, first off, then I'm like,
that's how much money? So we both had to have one,
right then we had to taste, Eh, get me a rollo.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Like I It was, you know, a rollo.

Speaker 6 (17:20):
It was fine, but I was expecting to take a
bite and be like floored.

Speaker 8 (17:26):
It was like when we had the chocolate that tasted
like grass that everybody buy one.

Speaker 6 (17:30):
I was expecting to take.

Speaker 8 (17:31):
A bite of that due buy chocolate and faint because
of the way people were acting about it.

Speaker 6 (17:35):
I just I like, I think in the end, my
palate is like trash.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
No, I don't think it's that. I just think for
your birthday maybe like the expectation was something different, and
now I sided with you, Like, I don't think I
would have wanted chocolate for my birthday. That would have
been like, oh yeah, I was.

Speaker 8 (17:53):
I took a bite of it, and I was just
like I wanted him and I both wanted to be floored. Yeah,
Firse by it for that much money. But in my head,
I'm like, why didn't you just keep the one twenty five?
And then when we were out for Stevie Nicks, like
put it to like tell me to go to the
merch line and get something.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Or bought you some earrings that are like, yeah, a
little bit more expensive something that you like, right, probably.

Speaker 8 (18:12):
A little bit more yes, but you go to and listen.
I think he'll still do all those things at Stevie Nicks.

Speaker 6 (18:16):
But I was just like, I know him. He felt weird.

Speaker 8 (18:19):
They didn't have anything to give me, so he rushed
this purchase because I can see you get free ship
to day on it because it's so expensive.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
And you said it's in New York, right, some of
home's Switzerland?

Speaker 7 (18:30):
Like what's is?

Speaker 6 (18:32):
My marriage? Is my marriage over?

Speaker 7 (18:34):
Like?

Speaker 9 (18:34):
Are we?

Speaker 7 (18:34):
Are?

Speaker 9 (18:35):
We? So?

Speaker 6 (18:38):
Anyways, I now have I'm bringing you on tomorrow. Actually
you can't.

Speaker 8 (18:43):
Yes, you need the I'm forcing you and need double
to try the one and twenty five chocolates.

Speaker 6 (18:48):
Jean Marie all bond, we.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
Can all have it.

Speaker 6 (18:51):
Feel rich.

Speaker 8 (18:53):
Hi, everybody, good morning. It's Ashley and the gam In
Morning Show. Speaking of the birthday yesterday, and it was
it was a weird day too, because a lot of
you guys were not listening to the show.

Speaker 6 (19:04):
You were off work with Veteran's day.

Speaker 8 (19:06):
But you're back now, So if you missed the show yesterday,
I'm officially thirty nine years old.

Speaker 6 (19:10):
It's my last year of my thirties.

Speaker 8 (19:12):
So as my birthday is happening simultaneously, the video that
I posted of Leila headbutting Daisy is climbing in numbers.
So if you didn't listen to the show yesterday, you
have no idea that when I left here yesterday that
video hit a million views.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
One million views, you're saying climbing. I think we could
use the word viral right, because it's ficially viral.

Speaker 6 (19:37):
Now, I mean we might hit two million.

Speaker 8 (19:41):
Now, I know this video, guys, at this point in
time has one point six million views.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
Oh my god.

Speaker 6 (19:53):
You hear the so she head buttzer, you hear the thud,
You hear my gasp. And here's the thing. I the
way I use social media and stuff.

Speaker 8 (20:04):
I watch these viral videos and I go to the
comment section because the comment section is where people dance, right,
and they say the wild things like that's always fun,
fun to do to go into the comment section. Now,
coming at this from a different angle, I'm watching this
viral video of my own kids and going into a comment.

Speaker 6 (20:23):
Section that's about me.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
That's right.

Speaker 8 (20:25):
It's the weirdest thing because usually I'm reading comments about
Cardi b or stuff on digs or some other parent
whose kid did something. Yeah, but now it's a viral
video of my own kids. So when I hit comment,
these people.

Speaker 6 (20:40):
Are talking about me.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
So the negative like even burns hard or too, because
on those other videos you could see something you disagree with,
but you don't care as much.

Speaker 6 (20:48):
No to well, because it's not you. It's not you,
but the comments in this.

Speaker 8 (20:56):
Like, I would be so ashamed to show that if
I this mother, what a bract in the making, What
wouldn't happen in my house? She would have been in
time out? Does this mother even parent? All this mom
cares about is getting this video online for people to see.
Absolutely not these both these kids are disgusting.

Speaker 6 (21:18):
Oh my god, No, if you have time hop in there.

Speaker 8 (21:23):
No, Hey, this is a This isn't a representation of
all parent This is just a representation of your parenting. Right.

Speaker 6 (21:30):
Ew that's a toddler, and that kid has resorted to
real violence. She needs to be put in therapy.

Speaker 8 (21:38):
Hey, this one was crazy. Abuse starts in the home.
The mom clearly gets abused and allows this. I'm my guys,
are we okay?

Speaker 2 (21:46):
That's a little insane, right, And then also to your point,
she gotta time out right right after that?

Speaker 6 (21:52):
The no, but they don't know that.

Speaker 8 (21:54):
And here's the thing, like about going viral, I guess
these aren't my people in the comments act Now, if it's.

Speaker 6 (22:01):
My people, you go to my birthday post. Those are
my people. These aren't my people. These are strange.

Speaker 8 (22:05):
I mean there's comments in other languages. These people don't
know me, so all they see is this video.

Speaker 6 (22:10):
They don't know that.

Speaker 8 (22:11):
I had been filming the ten seconds prior because the
girls were being so cute and they were playing.

Speaker 6 (22:17):
Together, and I was like, Wow, this is gonna be adorable.

Speaker 8 (22:20):
I also, by the way, I shouldn't have to define myself,
but I wanted to see how she was going to react,
Like listen when she looked at me. That was her
looking at me being like, all right, you're watching, but
I'm about I'm gonna do this. I'm checking to see
if you're looking. But the risk is going to be
greater than the like I'm doing it. And she took it,
and she took it. So many people were telling me

(22:40):
that I should have yelled at Daisy, yelled, whoah, she's one.

Speaker 6 (22:44):
She's not because she knocked over the blocks. Not gonna understand.

Speaker 8 (22:51):
And again I put the As soon as that happened,
I put the phone down. That's why you don't see
the rest of the video. And then she immediately went
to time out. But it was so funny because it
hit a million and I asked leylight, I posted the video.
If you haven't seen it at Ashley Felman tweetz on
the Ashley but I said, we had a million views?

Speaker 14 (23:09):
Do you know?

Speaker 6 (23:10):
Do you know what a million is?

Speaker 8 (23:11):
She's like, no, I remember we do the headbut you're
not gonna do that again?

Speaker 9 (23:14):
Right?

Speaker 6 (23:14):
She said no? And I go, where'd you learn to
do that? Shechoks me, Dennie I and goes Nothing.

Speaker 15 (23:21):
Morning Show.

Speaker 10 (23:22):
When you need to know, we got you three things
you need to know on Bostin's Number one for hip
hop and the best throwbacks. You haven't any more buyers.

Speaker 5 (23:31):
Are you kidding me?

Speaker 2 (23:32):
What an amazing catch by Gronkowski.

Speaker 6 (23:35):
Oh my god, I've seen it all by this guy.

Speaker 11 (23:37):
With the forty second pick in the twenty ten NFL Drafts,
the New England Patriots select Rob Gronkowski tight end Arizona.

Speaker 6 (23:48):
I'm Rob Gronkowski tight end for the New England Patriots.

Speaker 5 (23:51):
I'll be doing my job out on the.

Speaker 16 (23:52):
Field, and also I'll be being myself and having a
lot of fun.

Speaker 12 (23:57):
The fourteenth annual New England Patriots Ron Burton Community Service
Award took Patriots tie it in Rob Grindkowski.

Speaker 2 (24:07):
It was just honored to see and I just wanted
to be part of it. And give back to the
community in a positive way.

Speaker 6 (24:12):
You'll love to see it.

Speaker 8 (24:13):
Today's the day, Wednesday, November twelfth, and our guy Gronk
is going to sign a one day contract to retire
as a Patriot.

Speaker 6 (24:21):
If you're anything like me, you probably thought, well, duh,
like this had to be in the works.

Speaker 8 (24:25):
I didn't know the backstory to what's going on, and
that obviously made me choke up because we all know
how I am. But basically, Gronk had made a very
close relationship with a local philanthropist here, Susan Hurley. Him
and Susan worked closely together and extensively on charity work
throughout New England. In August when he did that big

(24:48):
playground in Boston. Remember when Gonk had his playground, He
donated one point eight mill and said he was inspired
to do it by Susanne Hurley, like she was one
who inspired him to start this playground. Anyways, on that day,
she asked, can we just make it official, Gronk, and
can you sign for one day and retire here as
a Patriot? Fast forward, she ended up losing her battle

(25:09):
with cancer and she recently passed away at the age
of sixty two. So what's happening today the chills is
Gronk essentially holding up his end of the deal. He's like,
you know, you've You've done amazing things for me in
my life and you've motivated me. Now I want to
do this for you and for pascination. Let's be honest.

Speaker 6 (25:26):
Everybody's really excited about this.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
It's always nice because he always finds a way to
give back to He's like, that's he's that special, that guy,
he really is.

Speaker 8 (25:34):
And you know, I remember just when he was here,
if he was out and about, he was always stopping,
always saying hi, just great with the kid, love to party.
So yeah, that's our guy. Gronk still, by the way,
refers to Foxborough as his home. So this is a layout.
This makes complete sense.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
But you mentioned this last time too, like can you
can you buy the ring and get it exciting?

Speaker 6 (25:54):
It's upsetting.

Speaker 8 (25:55):
I think that's the only thing about Gronk, Like if
I could have a real one on one with him,
I'd say a bunch of things. I would really like
gass him up and just tell him how much he's
meant to New England all these things, and I'd be like,
what's going on with you and Kenniale because lock that
woman down. I mean, she is just breathtaking.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
What are we doing?

Speaker 8 (26:11):
They've been a get like double digit ears put a
ring on that beautiful blonde finger bruh.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Or could they be secretly married?

Speaker 1 (26:18):
Maybe?

Speaker 8 (26:19):
Could they have had this agreement where marriage is not
our thing. We're just gonna be together. But we're all
asking it.

Speaker 6 (26:23):
I know we are, I know we are.

Speaker 8 (26:26):
All right, let's talk hoops and Paul Pierce, that's our guy,
another one that likes to party. I'm not saying necessarily
on this night, but Paul does like to get after it.
I'll set the scene for you. Paul Pierce goes out
to dinner, he has a couple of drinks. He's in
LA He gets in his car. He gets on the
four oh five, and the four oh five is always
bumper to bumper. If you know the road, you know

(26:47):
the road, it's not good. It's it's it's honestly, just
a way worse version.

Speaker 6 (26:53):
Of ninety three Absolutely Orleans.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
Yeah, it's awful.

Speaker 8 (26:56):
But anyways, he he's in such bad traffic that he's
dozing off. He he ended up tweeting after the night
and said, I took this picture of the night. This
happened because I'd never been in more standstill traffic for
this long. I'm old, I'm tired, and I fell asleep.
So Paul Pierce gets out of the traffic. The traffic
had kind of dissipated, everything was fine, and he ends

(27:16):
up falling asleep at the wheel.

Speaker 6 (27:18):
Cops roll up on Paul Pierce. They asked him to
get out of the vehicle.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
He does.

Speaker 8 (27:21):
They feel like he's maybe a little inebriated. They start
running him through test, which, by the way, he willingly does.
He does sobriety test, He takes a few breathalyzers. He
he blew point eight. He was right on the cusp.
Here's a little bit of the body cam footage.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
Where'd you play at Boston? Boston College.

Speaker 16 (27:43):
Said nice club, profession Paul Pierce.

Speaker 6 (27:48):
You know, Paul was like, don't you?

Speaker 2 (27:50):
Boston College is nice?

Speaker 8 (27:52):
But the Celtics also the cop fangirling in that moment
is so upset.

Speaker 6 (27:58):
You're putting this man through sobriety test.

Speaker 8 (27:59):
Actor.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
Okay, here's a random thing. Right, So if he fell
asleep and he was still at an eight, what was
he before? And I think that's probably what shot him
in the foot.

Speaker 6 (28:08):
He was sleeping it off.

Speaker 8 (28:09):
Yeah, no, and I'm sure listen, I don't think he
point oh eight again on the cusp you're not drunk
enough to the point where you don't understand what you're doing.

Speaker 6 (28:17):
I think he really took the breathalyzer because he thought
he was good.

Speaker 2 (28:21):
I think so too, But they also have to assume
that if he slept it off that much, then he
must have been drunk like an hour ago.

Speaker 8 (28:26):
Well, falling asleep at the wheel is crazy, but someone
on this show has done it.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
Yep, Okay, not me, Here's all I meant. Okay, it
was a time in my life where I was doing
not responsible things. And yes, so we've all been there, yes,
But I was like twenty two and I was on
my way home from night out and I fell asleep
on the Tobin Bridge, hit the side of the thing,
and came to. Luckily I was still in the lane,
because that could have ended very poorly.

Speaker 6 (28:50):
I don't even like hearing this story because you could
be dead.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
Yeah, and that night like changed my life, Like now
I don't like drive drowsy like anymore because that was
like you can't but that's what I.

Speaker 8 (29:01):
Mean like to fall asleep at the wheel. You're you're
on your next level of tired and or drunk. Yes, yeah,
I'm not saying you were.

Speaker 15 (29:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (29:09):
Well, Paul is also anime in court today, which is
why everybody's talking about this bodycam footage. He's facing two
misdemeanor and drunk driving charges, and like I said, we'll
be in court today, I'll keep you posting.

Speaker 6 (29:21):
All right. Diddy is obviously in jail and he's not
following the rules.

Speaker 8 (29:29):
The thing about this story, guys, is I didn't even
mention did he's munshot. It came on a couple of
days ago. I'm sure you've seen it. I feel like
people are talking about it again this morning. It was grainy,
it wasn't. I mean, listen, he's gray. I think it's
all the things that we expected. I more so enjoyed
the photos of him, like out in the yard with
the fellas, like laughing and stuff like right he was

(29:50):
in his like right place. The way Aaron Hernandez talked
about his time in lock up, it was like, oh okay,
but now these rumors are circulating, so the follow along
with me. Because Ditty's camp, they're denying everything they're saying
it's not true, and then sources on the inside are saying, wait,
these are one hundred percent true, and TMC is reporting
that they're one hundred percent true. But did He is

(30:14):
right now working as the chaplain's assistant, and while he's
working that job, he has access to a private office
that has like air conditioning and receives food for religious services,
also has a phone. So the rumor is that Diddy
made a three way call. It is illegal to make
a three way call whilst in jail. And if you
listen to our show, you're probably thinking, well, Ash, that

(30:35):
is people call you from jail three way all the time.

Speaker 6 (30:38):
Yes, but I don't think that they're supposed to be
doing that. And yeah, he got hit with this one.

Speaker 8 (30:45):
So he got disciplinary citation for making an unauthorized phone call.
Ditty's camp is saying that it didn't happen. The issue
is they're worried that when he makes these private phone
calls that they're they're calling blogs and they're reporting, oh, hey,
make sure you post this and do that tweet This
out all not something he's supposed to be doing. So

(31:08):
if in fact, he does get this citation, that could
result in him losing phone privileges and also commissary privileges.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
They're making it seem and I think I'm just assuming
this because I've never been in prison. But you are
only allowed to call certain phone numbers?

Speaker 7 (31:23):
Is that it?

Speaker 2 (31:23):
And those are the people that you get to talk to?

Speaker 6 (31:25):
Well, I've never been in lock up. Yeah, so I
can't speak to that.

Speaker 8 (31:29):
But I mean when if the rule is they can't
be I'm assuming it's like you get to call one person,
now that one person can't then three way somebody in yes, double.
I'm not saying you know the answer to this, but
you do get calls from jail all the time. Are
we allowed to be making three way calls? Legally?

Speaker 12 (31:48):
No?

Speaker 6 (31:49):
Legally no, but it happens.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
But if you have the technology on your phone, then
why is it illegal? That's the part I don't understand.
I'm really stupid, right, Well.

Speaker 8 (31:56):
It would be I'm in jail, yeah, yeah, I don't
have that. Yeah, and then so we I don't have
the technology I'm in jail, but you do.

Speaker 6 (32:04):
But you know that's not so.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
Yeah. But my point is is I'm the one who's
doing It's why is did he the one getting in trouble.

Speaker 9 (32:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (32:08):
Well, also, the calls are being recorded. But here's the thing,
if did, he's sneaking into the chaplain's office.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
To make the calls.

Speaker 8 (32:14):
Now we don't know what he's talking about. The reason
why these stories are tough to report. It's a lot
of well they're saying this, and he's saying that because
remember he's also dealing with the Moonshine incident. Absolutely, the
jail is saying he's out here drinking his toilet water moonshine,
and him and his family and his camp.

Speaker 6 (32:30):
Are like, no, no, no, no, he's not.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
I'm telling you. By next week, it's it's a yak.

Speaker 6 (32:35):
Have you ever hear lay Low? I mean the love
of God? You want an appeal lay Low buddy?

Speaker 8 (32:40):
The three things need to know for Wednesday, November the twelfth.

Hi, everybody, good morning, Happy Wednesday. By the way, we're
checking in on you. What's up in your world? What
you got going on? Talking about anything you want? If
you're new to the show, uh, this is literally the
part where you have a mic, you call me and
we talk about whatever is on your mind. Six one
seven nine three one one four five. That is six
one seven nine three one one nine four five. Tie

(33:33):
is gonna kick it off for us Ties in New
bed for a tie. Good morning, Good morning.

Speaker 6 (33:38):
How are you good, babe?

Speaker 8 (33:39):
How are you?

Speaker 6 (33:39):
What's going on?

Speaker 14 (33:41):
I'm good, I'm just I have a question for you.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
What do you got?

Speaker 14 (33:44):
I'm a I'm a huge fan of the Real World
and The Challenge, and I want to know how come
how come you've never been on the Challenge? I feel
like you would dominate a solid question.

Speaker 6 (33:52):
I get it off, but before I answer, what was
your favorite Real World season?

Speaker 14 (33:57):
New Orleans?

Speaker 5 (33:58):
My girl?

Speaker 6 (34:00):
It okay? So this is crazy.

Speaker 8 (34:03):
I feel like I only went on Real World back
in the day to get on the Challenge. That was
my inevitable goal because I thought the same thing I'm like,
I'm an athlete. I have to be on this right,
so I go on Real World. I only ever got
asked after being on the Real World one time tie
to be on a challenge and I didn't even make
the initial cut. They put me in as an alternate

(34:24):
and I never got to go.

Speaker 6 (34:27):
So that that's my now.

Speaker 8 (34:29):
It's so depressing because I mean, now, obviously I could
never hell would I explain that to Daisy.

Speaker 6 (34:34):
She'd be like, well, how do I get the boob?
It wouldn't make sense. But at that time when I
could go, I was more than ready. I just never
got asked.

Speaker 14 (34:45):
Who do you think would be your biggest alliance member
if you went in?

Speaker 8 (34:49):
I mean probably anybody on my season. I mean, Jemmy
is one of my best friends. She was on my season.
She goes in on those things and she creates just
the most drama, but I know she would have my back.
And then another one who I was with this past weekend,
the og Anissa. Anissa and I are very close and
I feel like as a VET, she would certainly have
my back. But I love these Real World road rules

(35:11):
questions and I appreciate that you're a fan, So thank
you so much for the call. All right, Ty, And
by the way, guys, I feel like that's the most
boring answer ever. I wish I had something more juicy
for you. But that's really how it happened. They asked
me to go on the challenge. It was the one
where it was like the season, so they picked four
people from my season okay, and put me as the alternate.

(35:34):
And of course all the four people from my season
said they were going to go, and I just sat
at home. I was so disappointed because at that time
in my life I would have been able to do it.
But kind of a boring answer. Nonetheless, Taylor is in Lakeville, Taylor, Good.

Speaker 5 (35:47):
Morning, Good morning?

Speaker 15 (35:50):
How are you.

Speaker 6 (35:50):
How we doing?

Speaker 8 (35:51):
Taylor?

Speaker 6 (35:51):
I know I've asked this before. Where is Lakeville?

Speaker 7 (35:55):
It's like an hour from Boston and by middle Taunton.

Speaker 8 (36:01):
Oh okay, now you're giving me reference points. I'm like, well,
we going north and going south.

Speaker 7 (36:05):
But I got it, Okay, I'm not the right person
to ask for directions to.

Speaker 6 (36:09):
Be oh son, who's worse me? There's no People will say,
how do you get home?

Speaker 8 (36:14):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (36:14):
I go on the roads, I turn right a couple
of times, and then I end up there. But what's up, Taylor?
What did you want to check in about?

Speaker 7 (36:21):
I just wanted to call and say happy belated birthday,
and I just want to say your amazing mom. I
don't let anybody else criticize how you, you know, take.

Speaker 14 (36:32):
Care of your kids.

Speaker 1 (36:33):
You know.

Speaker 7 (36:33):
Yeah, I listen to you guys. I listen to you
guys every morning. And it's just such a joy to
listen to you guys while I'm sitting in this terrible traffic.

Speaker 8 (36:40):
Oh my god, that I'm telling you right now. And
I like, these are conversations at Santi and I have
on air, but also off air. It's just there's so
many shows. I mean, there's great shows in this building.
I'm friends with people who have amazing shows. So when
people say that and they choose us, it's the ultimate compliment.
And I appreciate that I'm the number one villain the
internet right now, but at least I'm number one in

(37:01):
your heart tailor, and that's all.

Speaker 7 (37:03):
That matter is definitely, that's the best station is GYM
In ninety four.

Speaker 8 (37:07):
Or five, we're putting you in a commercial cut back, Taylor,
Thank you, thank you so much for the go Also,
I love it. Wow, that's really sweet, amazing that was
that you know that'll end up in a commercial.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
Yeah, you listen. It's been a tough couple couple of
days for you, so I understand how much MS mean
to you.

Speaker 6 (37:22):
Yeah, I'm getting abused online.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
But at least you're going viral.

Speaker 6 (37:26):
So it's so weird being on this end of things.
It's just the craziest. Good morning.

Speaker 8 (37:31):
It's Ashley and the Gym in the morning show.

Speaker 6 (37:32):
We're checking in ONNYA.

Speaker 8 (37:33):
What are you doing?

Speaker 6 (37:34):
How are you doing?

Speaker 8 (37:35):
We have a lot of new ears on the show,
So if you're somebody that's new, our personal favorite part
is this.

Speaker 6 (37:42):
You call us and we talk about anything you want.
You have it on your mind.

Speaker 8 (37:45):
You want to tell me a story, you want to
check in about something in your life, you want to
ask me something, You can do that here six one
seven nine three one one nine four five. That is
six one seven nine three one one nine four five.
A lot of times during the check and we have
people commenting on things we've talked about in the show
thus far, one of which was did he making three
way calls? Listen our jail knowledge it's not hot. Yeah,

(38:10):
we've never been locked up, so we don't really have
an answer to what the rules are, but we had
only assumed. We asked the double a, hey, can you
can you because you know he does a show where
people from jail call people from jail call our show.
We know there's a three way thing happening. Uh, he said, listen,
you can it happens, but it's it's certainly not legal.

Speaker 6 (38:29):
So thank you for this. We got this talk back.

Speaker 17 (38:33):
So just so you guys know, at least from what
I remember, when I was locked up, you had to
have pre approved numbers, like you had to write them
down on your numberless and then be able to call them. Also,
I mean it could be different, but also with the
three way calling is because they wouldn't be able to
trace who you're calling because that call, the third call

(38:56):
is originating fast somebody else's phone. That's why.

Speaker 6 (38:59):
And you know what, thank you, that's coming from someone
that was locked up. So that's the information that we need.

Speaker 1 (39:04):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (39:04):
I watched The Wire, guys.

Speaker 8 (39:06):
The Wire is one of my favorite shows of all time,
and so I know that that was part of the
reason because once you know, we know how the wire
toops work, we get them one number. If they're three
wing another number one, we're not gonna be able to
trace that exact number. So makes complete sense to me.
All right, let's go to a NETS and nets is
in Boston, and Nett wants to say hi and good morning,

(39:27):
and so do your passengers and net.

Speaker 6 (39:29):
First off, why are we all in the car together?
What's going on?

Speaker 5 (39:38):
I listen to you guys every morning. I do this
so when I'm out here my raiders on your Guys station,
Oh my god, you could just imagine the cracking up
my passengers are going on inside here with Ashley, I'm
telling you you are the ball and you just rolling

(39:59):
time In English, I'm talking talked to you, but I'm talking.

Speaker 6 (40:04):
I know exactly what you're talking and that listen.

Speaker 8 (40:06):
First off, you're a lift driver, meaning you have different
people in your call car all the time, and you
put us on so you make them listen to us,
which is the best possible thing you probably are introducing.

Speaker 15 (40:19):
Oh listen, they're coming and they have the years pad
or the phone on and you thought they're not listening,
and you said something and they're cracking up.

Speaker 5 (40:29):
Ronda about this? Am, I like, why are you laughing?

Speaker 15 (40:32):
What you just said. Okay, my god, that to be honest,
you guys, I would like to give a shout out
to my people. Please just go to our group Stom
and I would like ener Jamaican and this radio station
is listening out. My heart is going up for my
people right now, and I just want.

Speaker 5 (40:52):
To say we have it.

Speaker 15 (40:53):
Just like that.

Speaker 9 (40:54):
We have it.

Speaker 5 (40:55):
We are strong and we always will be a right.
We can't be what we always.

Speaker 15 (41:00):
Want to be.

Speaker 5 (41:00):
Anything that we intend to do, we can do it
as long as we put our mind to it. And
so Jamaican's out there, and any Caribbean country or the
Asian community and all of them the dam and oh
my god, so many of us are the I'm just saying,
just all the fake God have this and we have
to be patient, just be awake, and this way that

(41:22):
the lobbyes bring us through this tomb already and we're
going to pick up all the things that we love. Yes,
and so you know, just keep using your prior and
keep the people in central it's that West maland Mantico
be and over Chilan and of those people, the entire Carbean,
the old entire Creba. It was it was one.

Speaker 8 (41:43):
It was the most devastating storm they had ever seen.
And I can't imagine what you know some of your
people over there are going through. Do you get to
get back to Jamaica often?

Speaker 9 (41:50):
Isn't it?

Speaker 5 (41:52):
I usual to go home life once to hear about
when my children and used to be home. But I
went home in US to bury my mom and it
just upfeated that she she wasn't here with me. Well,
my sister and my uncle uh in this song and
we are trying to take off and pick off everything

(42:15):
that we can get to send home and have you
know it over all?

Speaker 15 (42:20):
Right, Well, that's what we are doing right home. But
you guys made me every day.

Speaker 5 (42:24):
I'm telling I.

Speaker 6 (42:24):
Love you for that. We're thinking about you.

Speaker 8 (42:26):
If you need anything, you call us and UH send
love to everybody that you know they're in Jamaica from us.
And by the way, the fact that you make all
of your lifts like passengers listen to us. This is
the ten out of ten. This is the best thing
I've heard all day, and thank you so much. Imagine
you get in an uber and you're like, hey, can
you put on.

Speaker 6 (42:44):
Kiss one to wait? And that's like can you go
your because no, absolutely not.

Speaker 8 (42:49):
Paula is in the one of the most beautiful towns
I personally have ever seen. I don't know how you
feel about it, Paula, but I love me some Marshfields.

Speaker 6 (42:59):
Me two beautiful town, beautiful.

Speaker 9 (43:03):
Beautiful, beautiful. I'm parking right now. Actually I don't live here.
I work here. I've been working here for three years
going on four. I love, love, love here that I
come here every day, seven days a week.

Speaker 6 (43:19):
Nice people in Marsfield, some of them very.

Speaker 9 (43:22):
Very nice people, very humble people. You know, they wilcome me.

Speaker 6 (43:28):
I love that.

Speaker 9 (43:28):
I love this neighborhood. I love it. I love it.
But I want to say good morning to you, Happy
be late birthday.

Speaker 8 (43:36):
Thank you.

Speaker 9 (43:37):
I want to say that I listen to you guys
every morning. I love three of you guys. I miss
the other one.

Speaker 8 (43:46):
Oh yes, yes, so the way I was wondering if
you yes, we do too. I actually got a message
from a guy today. He's like, I've been on vacation
for three weeks. I just got back. What is going on?

Speaker 16 (43:56):
You know?

Speaker 8 (43:56):
Obviously, Yeah, things are different, and it was it's tough.

Speaker 9 (44:00):
But I'm different. But I love you and ASANTI I
love you guys. Keep doing what you guys doing. But
I want to say good morning to my brothers sat
on the road and telling him that I love him.
I miss him. He's a truck driver.

Speaker 8 (44:17):
Truck I said, shout out, said, shout out to the
truck drivers.

Speaker 6 (44:24):
Paula, we love them too.

Speaker 9 (44:25):
Yes, yes, thank you, thank you you guys. Keep doing
what you guys doing. Good job waking waking people up
in the morning.

Speaker 8 (44:34):
Paula, question before you go, because I always ask people,
did you listen to the show before I moved to
Marshfield or did you hear about the show?

Speaker 6 (44:44):
What's before?

Speaker 8 (44:45):
My girl before all right, Paula, I appreciate you, thank
you so much for listening. So I love the Marsfield
I'll be home soon.

Speaker 9 (44:52):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (44:55):
Interesting, she was like what.

Speaker 6 (44:58):
He double said?

Speaker 8 (44:59):
You are going to hear this pretty ricky? Hi everybody,
good morning. How are we what's going on? We're doing
the check in here, our favorite part of the show
because we check in on your life. Enough about us
six one seven nine three one one nine four five.
That is six one seven nine three one one nine
four five. We just passed our year anniversaries on of

(45:19):
living in Marshfield. That's right, and it's funny because I
have people that come up to me in Marshfield and
they're like, hey, i'll be honest with you. I never
listened to jam in ninety four or five before you
got on it. Someone said, oh, there's a girl that
lives in town. Now she's on JAM and she's on
the radio. So I put it on and I listen
to you now, Nicki, I don't know if you are

(45:41):
one of them. I don't know if you listened to
jam in prior to me moving to Marshfield where you
fall on that.

Speaker 6 (45:46):
Either way, you listen. So I appreciate you, and people
call it. I love you for this.

Speaker 8 (45:52):
So people call from Marshfield all the time, and Santi's
dying laughing because he's like, you have to talk to Nicki,
because you know, every time somebody from Marshall calls in,
I'm like, they're so nice.

Speaker 6 (46:01):
Marsfield is great. And you're like, no, no, no, no,
no no. The people of Marshfield are not humble, says you.

Speaker 16 (46:08):
All right, let me preface this with Marshields gorgeous, gorgeous landscape.
It is so many great people. When I tell you
humbles the wrong words, you're not humble.

Speaker 5 (46:18):
Anyway, but you know what, like what road knows they're
from Marshfield.

Speaker 6 (46:23):
You know what that that's okay?

Speaker 8 (46:25):
So what about if we compare it to like what
I mean, what are we gonna bring to like Duxberry?

Speaker 6 (46:29):
You know, like where do we fall on that?

Speaker 5 (46:30):
Because we don't.

Speaker 9 (46:31):
We don't say the D word.

Speaker 7 (46:33):
We don't.

Speaker 8 (46:34):
But the thing is is like every I guess the
way it's been kind of delivered to me since I've
lived there is like, oh, Marshfield are like we're like
the regular people, but the Ducksberry like they're the rich people.

Speaker 6 (46:46):
No, by the way, I have not come away.

Speaker 16 (46:48):
So we say that, we say that, but then when
I go to like ropped In or I go out
of Boston to see people, they're like, oh.

Speaker 9 (46:54):
You're from Marshfield.

Speaker 5 (46:56):
You know what I mean, We're not.

Speaker 16 (46:57):
Everybody outside of Marshfield in a certain area did not
see us as the regular people. So it's wicked annoying
because I'm like, I swear I'm not from that nice
part of my shield. I mean, I'm in a nice
part of my shield down by the beach.

Speaker 8 (47:09):
People a little bit bougie, So I don't don't say
where I live because I don't know if you know,
but where do you live in Marshfield?

Speaker 6 (47:16):
I go, okay, okay, okay, what part do you live in?

Speaker 14 (47:19):
Like?

Speaker 6 (47:19):
Which part? Which beach do you go to?

Speaker 16 (47:21):
I grew up in Ocean Bluff in the winter. There
was one show you did where you were talking about
the outdoor showers and I was dying, Yeah, we had
an outdoor shower that was our full time shower for
the first year and a half.

Speaker 6 (47:35):
That's insane. Yeah, like.

Speaker 8 (47:38):
In the winter, that's crazy. Like this morning, trying to
shower in that thing, the water would freeze coming out.
But yeah, when I was getting the outdoor shower, people
that follow me on Instagram and stuff were very confused,
and I was like, guys, I live in a beach
town now, like this is this is.

Speaker 9 (47:52):
What I was dying.

Speaker 6 (47:53):
Yeah, that was the whole thing. Well, listen, I don't
know I there are Listen, there are some, just as
it depends on the people in which you surround yourself
from with.

Speaker 8 (48:03):
But I haven't. I haven't come across anyone being like
braggish that they're from Marshfield.

Speaker 16 (48:07):
But you know, I like the sound, Well can I can?

Speaker 15 (48:11):
I can?

Speaker 16 (48:11):
I do one thing while I got to let's do it.
You know you are from Marshfield and around the radio.

Speaker 7 (48:15):
Yeah, you know.

Speaker 16 (48:16):
It's a holiday season and there's a charity in Marshfield
that has my whole heart that I would love to
see get a lot of support and visual.

Speaker 9 (48:24):
You know.

Speaker 16 (48:25):
It is the Community Christmas, Marshall Community Christmas. This time
of year, they really need some support, and I think
this is a great platform for me to just mention that,
give them a shout out real quick.

Speaker 6 (48:35):
We'll give us a little bit more info.

Speaker 7 (48:36):
I haven't.

Speaker 8 (48:37):
I haven't heard anything about it, so tell us a
little bit more really.

Speaker 16 (48:40):
So it's down at the fairground. It's the little house
on the fairgrounds there when you first pull out across
the streets for the fire apartments, and they take in
donations of toys. I think right now since COVID, they've
mostly been doing like gift cards. They used to like
bag up a whole bag of toys that's age appropriate
for your kid, and they would handle deliberate to people's

(49:00):
houses around town.

Speaker 2 (49:01):
That's awesome for people.

Speaker 9 (49:02):
Struggling during Christmas.

Speaker 16 (49:04):
And now they give out a lot of gift cards
like Walmart Grocery cards and it's just something very near
and dear to my heart because we needed their help
in the last year. And uh, I'd love to see
them get some more visuals. They're always looking for donations
and it do so much good.

Speaker 8 (49:17):
Wow, that's I'm Wilson. I'm glad you got to get
that out there. That's amazing. I'll have to check them out.
My one last question for you, being from a Marshfield person,
I consider myself a coffee well, no, it's not bad.
I just consider myself a coffee snob. So if you
were to tell somebody where do you think the best
cup of coffee is in Marshfield.

Speaker 9 (49:34):
Be honest with you, tell me.

Speaker 16 (49:38):
Coffee shot down in Green Harbor.

Speaker 8 (49:41):
Everybody loves coffee. There's no better doughnut on the planet.
I'll give you that than Coffee Shack.

Speaker 16 (49:45):
They make them right there every morning. But I'm partially
the Starbucks, the one up by the seven eleven. That
whole team is amazing.

Speaker 5 (49:52):
Every day.

Speaker 6 (49:53):
Great shout out to the team.

Speaker 8 (49:54):
She gives me Starbucks and are we got like twelve
thousand class shout out the slack tie that they're getting mine.

Speaker 15 (49:59):
Twice a day.

Speaker 6 (50:00):
All right, Nikki thank you for the call. Listen.

Speaker 8 (50:03):
I think you sound like a nice lady from Marshfield,
so that's fine, But they don't like that.

Speaker 2 (50:07):
The town sounds really nice. Yeah, it sounds like a
special place. I would love to be invited down there
at some point in my life.

Speaker 8 (50:13):
Yeah, it's funny because I never felt that way about Marshall,
like that, the people of Marshfield are super chill, down
to earth. The way in which she is describing the
people of Marshfield, it's giving hollless.

Speaker 6 (50:25):
We are not like Hollis New Hampshire, PEP. We're just
regular people in Marshfield.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
