Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hi, everybody, Good morning. It's Ashley and the Gym in
morning show. We're doing Beyond the Swipe right now. We're
talking dating, love, relationships and anything in the in between.
Of course I had just mentioned and by the way,
six one seven nine three one one nine four five
that's six one seven nine three one one nine four

(00:21):
five dating, love, relationships, lack thereof anything you want. This
happens every every single year. This week I very quickly
mentioned it, but then just got a DM two dates
going out again on Friday. First off, you're an idiot, honey, Like,
why would.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
You move the date to Saturday? Yeah? Like, just move
it to Saturday.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
But either way, he's like date number three and we're
going out Friday.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Do I acknowledge? And do I show up with something?

Speaker 3 (00:47):
I think you do because it's day three and things
seem to be going pretty well, and it's Valentine's Day,
so you might as well like a nice card.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
See, I think cards too much.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
I'm thinking maybe one of those like small little boxes
of chocolates with the four P or like a couple
flowers or something. But I think a card is like intimate,
like you're like writing in a card or.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Something I just don't.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
It's you need to acknowledge that it's Valentine's Day, but
also just move the date if you don't want to.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Get her a gift or anything like that, move the date,
you know.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
But then maybe Friday will be that much more special
because it is Valentine's Day.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Yeah. Fun fact.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
We used to have a guy that worked in this
building and he had gone on he had who's on Tinder?
They're swiping, sweping, swiping. He meets this girl it's actually
Valentine's Day on the day. They're on Tinder and he says,
do you want to go out? And he's like, I
know it's Valentine's Day, but they were texting or whatever.
Long story short, it's his wife now and they have
two kids. But their very first date was on Valentine's

(01:43):
Day and he's like, we kind of made a joke
about it because it was our first date. You know,
no pressure. But again, you're a couple of dates in
I wouldn't I wouldn't concern yourself with doing something huge,
like just acknowledge it.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Would a flower be a little bit too much?

Speaker 4 (01:57):
No, I think that's fine, Okay, enough to to achnowledge
it two months, three months, six.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Well no, this guys, don't this is their third date.
Oh yeah, and I told you know what I said
to him, I wrote him back, I go bump the
date till Saturday. Then you don't give them to acknowledge
it at all. But the date is on Friday and
it's set. So I said, you know, get one of
those little candy boxes.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
I don't know, it's not even just pull her chair
out and.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Hey, heavy Valentine's Day. There it is, Kevin is in Providence, Hi, keV.

Speaker 6 (02:25):
Hey, what's it going good?

Speaker 2 (02:27):
So you've been with.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Your partner for six years?

Speaker 6 (02:32):
Is okay?

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (02:34):
You've been with her or him that long and you're
asking us what to buy for a Valentine's Day gift?

Speaker 7 (02:39):
The hell?

Speaker 2 (02:41):
How do you not know?

Speaker 6 (02:42):
So this is the thing, right, you've been with this
person for six years, you really you pretty much get
them whatever they want. And after some time, you know,
Valentine's Day comes up and then you just be like,
everybody got her everything, what else can I get her?
So then you get kind of confused on what else together,
and then you try to sneak it in and ask her, hey,
what is something that you're interested in and that She's like,

(03:05):
to be honest, I already have everything, but do you
still want me to be your Valentine's Like we've done
with each other for six years, Like what else can
I get you?

Speaker 1 (03:14):
What?

Speaker 6 (03:14):
So then we're not married yet, but we do have
two more boys at the house. You know, she just
we just had our daughter daughters, I should say, in
July July twenty first, so you know it's it's been
a blessing throughout that time. Yeah, you know, now listening

(03:36):
to listening to what you guys are saying is like
what can you guys give me for advice? And when
it comes to a great Valentine's Day gift?

Speaker 1 (03:45):
So yeah, you're running out of time because it's it's Friday.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
But as a mom with a baby.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Anna Toddler, does she have any sort of jewelry with
the girls' names on it? No?

Speaker 6 (04:00):
She does not.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
That to me is like priceless. I have a necklace
that I wear every single day. Literally shout out to
my guy asmar and Wooster. But I wear this necklace
every day and when I'm not with them, the fact
that I have it on makes me feel like I'm
with them.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
In some sort of way.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
I think now, because you're too late, you would have
to put it in a card that it's on the way.
But keV write this down. There's a jeweler that I'm
obsessed with called Catbird C A T B I R D.
They have beautiful, fine jewelry and you can personalize and customize.
They're out of New York, so they ship pretty fairly quickly.
Get on that today.

Speaker 5 (04:37):
Thank you guys so much. I really appreciate it.

Speaker 6 (04:39):
I'm definitely gonna look into it.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Okay, goodbye, Just like why are you calling?

Speaker 4 (04:44):
Thank you?

Speaker 2 (04:45):
But why are you calling us on Tuesday? Like you
had them? Oh, guys, fellas you know it does.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
It does sadden me that I know Valentine's Day coming up,
but I'm not getting anything.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
He already gave me the gift.

Speaker 5 (04:57):
But what more do you want? Though?

Speaker 2 (04:59):
I just love gifts. I don't know, I'd love.

Speaker 5 (05:01):
To open on the day.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Yeah, And you know what, this is me being a
be and I know that, but I'm a you know,
I'm a planner and I think ahead, like already we're
gonna be away, we're gonna be in Jersey. So I
already went and got his favorite chocolates that is packed.
I wrote him a card also packed something a little small,
a tiny little thing to acknowledge on that day he
won't have anything for me because he doesn't. That's just

(05:23):
he doesn't think he's Yeah, he doesn't think that way would.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
Do anything for him.

Speaker 5 (05:27):
Like in the bedroom six.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
One seven from nine three one one nine four five
six one seven nine three one one nine four five. Guys,
we're talking dating love relationships. You call and ask us
for advice. You could tell me a date story. Maybe
you're just going through a breakup. Anything you want six
one seven nine three one one nine four five it's
to be on the swipe. Good morning ship. Hi everybody,

(05:52):
good morning, It's Ashley in the gym in morning show.
I would also like to say shout out to all
the Kolarna.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
And after pay Valentine's Days that are happening on Friday.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Don't feel they don't you dare for one second feel
bad about that. You know what I call a good
Klarina Christmas. When you clarina something you haven't even paid
it off, and it ships. Nothing makes me feel better,
So don't feel bad about yourself.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Technically it's better than a credit card because you have
done pay.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
The fees zero percent interest.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
That total could be one oh one, have one hundred bucks,
but no, no, no, I like it in four paid installments
of twenty five dollars.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Feels good. Drew is in New Bedford. Hi, Drew, Good mornings.
So Drew, you've been with.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Your wife for thirty one years. That is insane. That
beats out Santi.

Speaker 5 (06:35):
Yep, twenty years.

Speaker 8 (06:37):
Hey for a book.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Crazy and you And now you're kind of also stuck
because you're like, after thirty one years, what do you
get somebody for Valentine's Day?

Speaker 2 (06:46):
That's a long time.

Speaker 8 (06:48):
Yeah, I mean I've got her flowers, guards, jewelry, everything.
But I'm at the point now it's like it's boring
to get the same stuff all the time.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
I know, what, what about a little night away?

Speaker 1 (07:00):
But if you guys like, yeah, you guys hop in
the car, doesn't have to be anything crazy.

Speaker 8 (07:06):
We've done that.

Speaker 6 (07:06):
I'm doing her.

Speaker 8 (07:07):
I'm giving her a day spak.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Okay, that's that's nice.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
I'm sure she'll like that because she probably you know,
doesn't take a ton of time for herself, and that'll
give her a moment.

Speaker 8 (07:17):
Oh, she's a pre school teacher. She's always dealing with kids,
so grew a moment to herself away from me and
the kids and everybody.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Yes, and she will absolutely love that. And I'll be
honest with you. I know it's People might say it's
played out. But I love a good dinner, like a
nice dinner, dessert, maybe at my favorite restaurant.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Maybe you hand me the phone and say order whatever
you want. You know that stuff.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
We like that.

Speaker 7 (07:39):
I do all the cooking.

Speaker 8 (07:40):
I mean, I grew up in the restaurants. I can
cook almost anything. If I see it in the restaurant,
I can make it. If I sing it on TV,
I can make it.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Oh, I got Drew.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
Does she like trips? Does she like to go go
places like? Not just locally?

Speaker 7 (07:52):
Like she likes the gambler?

Speaker 5 (07:56):
Just throw.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
Your encore.

Speaker 8 (08:01):
That's true, that's true.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
We haven't been there yet, Drew, it's done. You haven't
been encore. Get a get a room, have a nice
little night.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yeah. Let's like Florence. I give her five hundred to
play with and roll the dice.

Speaker 8 (08:16):
Yeah. Because I'm not much of a gambler anymore. I
used to gamble, and then I just stopped okay, all right.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
I appreciate you guys, all right, appreciate you listening. Man,
I've been kicked out.

Speaker 5 (08:31):
Yeah, let's be. You just start to run out of ideas.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
You No, I can tell.

Speaker 5 (08:37):
The restaurants can you eat it?

Speaker 1 (08:39):
I know, And I can tell the fireman's running out
of ideas. And we've only been together six or seven
years now. Yeah, I get it. But again, it's like
it's the little things like I love going out to
dinner and having a nice meal, and there's yes, you can,
but there's a million restaurants. You got to know you
do because because that might not be what they want.
They might want somebody to pay for their nails.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
You know.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
Uh, Lisa is in Boston. Lisa's been with her boyfriend.
You've been with your boyfriend for fifteen years. Yeah, well then,
well then I know what you should get for Valentine's Day.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
It's like this little circle thing dimond on top.

Speaker 7 (09:15):
Yeah, you know. I got one from my wrist for Christmas.
He's working his way down. I first got a necklace
and then I got a bracelet.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Okay, well yeah, we'll be we want the other one,
the smaller one.

Speaker 7 (09:29):
You know, it's Okay, I still get diamonds and we're
saving up for a house, so I can't complain.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Dragon his feet through fifteen years.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
It's crazy Valentine's Days On Friday?

Speaker 6 (09:39):
What is he?

Speaker 2 (09:40):
What is he gifting you?

Speaker 7 (09:42):
So it was supposed to be a surprise, but he
had to tell me in advance because I'm not a
I'm not really great with surprises. So Friday he's taken
me for Sousa lessons.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
Oh wow, okay, see, totally not up my alley. But
I I that it's a cute gift and that's thinking
outside of the box.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
That's what I like.

Speaker 7 (10:04):
Well it is, However, we're going. He bought me like
all my gifts for the year because we're going to
the Bad Bunny concert and that was expensive.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (10:15):
I didn't expect any other gifts, but in preparation.

Speaker 6 (10:18):
For the concert, we need to have a little number.

Speaker 5 (10:21):
I don't like that.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
I like that a lot. Yeah. When is that show?
That's the summer right, it's July, right, and it's Age.

Speaker 7 (10:27):
We're we're going in August August eighth.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Is it Agelett Stadium or did I make that up?

Speaker 7 (10:33):
No, that's it's in Puerto Rico. O, my god.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Yeah, you know what. The ring can wait. You know what,
I stand corrected, The ring can wait.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
That man knows what he's doing, trips and concerts, all right, Lisa,
Well you just made a lot of other women feel
less than because they're like, well, damn, I probably won't
even get a box of chocolates.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
Thanks for the call. That's that. That's crazy.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
See what he's doing, right, He's doing all these other things.
So she forgets about the range. She's like, oh, it's fine. Yeah,
he thinks that's a smart man. He's a poe in
the entire thing.

Speaker 4 (11:08):
I do know, for all the money he spent put
down her, he doesn't want to Puerto Rico does.

Speaker 5 (11:13):
He don't want you?
