Speaker 1 (00:00):
A boy show.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
When you need to know, we got you three things
you need to know on Boston's number one for hip
hop and the best throwbags. She haven't even worn vibe.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
She can't my nerve.

Speaker 4 (00:13):
Honey, what God like?

Speaker 1 (00:15):
You know, it's so crazy, Like my mom ma, someone
t I'm gonna give birth to a baby. She comes
to my house and whatever, she stay here for months
and stuff like that. You know what she did. She
threw away all of my cookies, all of my snacks.
Like she threw them away like I said, Oh, you're
not supposed to be having these snacks here. The kids
are gonna be eating all of those snacks. And it's like,

(00:36):
who told you that them snacks is theirs? Them is mine.
She threw away all my snacks, all my beef jerky,
all my cookies. You know, I'll be waking up in
the middle of the night and I just want a
little snack.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
I don't want to eat.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
No oat meal. She wants me to eat oat meal
all day, Like I don't want to op me cool
and very porridge. That's what she wants me to do.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
A porridge Tuesday, November eighteenth, and a Cardi B's mama
is like, I will make sure she is felt.

Speaker 5 (01:12):
Yeah, when she is out there.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
On tour, hiding all the snacks, throwing them out, saying
she doesn't want her or the kids eat them, stating
things mom's eating them and stealing them herself. Either way,
I think it's an amazing thing that Cardi's mom comes
and helps her out with a new born man. She
has a lock one on, you know. It's she's got
three younger kids and then she has this new baby.
She's also trying to get her body right for tour.
It's one thing after another for Cardi. So the help

(01:34):
is nice.

Speaker 6 (01:35):
Months will well, it's a good thing, but clearly she's
crossing some boundaries. You can't make decisions for your kids
like that, especially when they're grown.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
Like let the woman have haven't we seen her? Let
her have a cookie or so she's clearly doing something right.
So Cardie's got that going on. I also feel the
need to tell you that Offset is essentially saying that
he is not the one who put up those tweets
I told you about, well instagrams I told you about yesterday.
Remember when the the news came out that Cardi and
Stefan Diggs had had their baby, he posted and then

(02:04):
deleted on Instagram.

Speaker 5 (02:05):
That's my kid lol. He is claiming now.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
He was hacked.

Speaker 6 (02:10):
Well, here's a tough thing. It's hard to prove that
he wasn't hacked, but we all know that that's the
go to for somebody who like tweets some craziness.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
The only reason I'm not buying it is because remember
Cardi said yesterday that he was hitting her up privately,
over and over and over. She wasn't responding privately, so
he took it public, which is why I kind of
lend to the fact that maybe he really did do it.
Either way, he is claiming that he was hacked. So
there you have it.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
Takashi six nine. We haven't talked about him in a minute.
He's still out there. I mean, he has an ankle
monitor on, so we can't go too far. But he
is allowed to do work projects. So if he gets
asked to be on a podcast, which by the way,
he has been going on the podcast tour saying wild things.
For example, he was on a podcast Demi Levado came up.
He goes, oh, isn't she sober? And the guy's like, eh,

(02:55):
you know, she's sober. He goes, I'll give her drugs.
She's definitely gonna relapse. I might as well go get
her some drugs and get to her. That's like for
what he's just he says crazy things. But anyways, he
was out and about. He was doing a podcast on
Sunday with a guy by the name of Jack Dougherty
who later got arrested. But either way, he's doing this
podcast and his house gets I mean, I don't know

(03:18):
what they got, but let's just say his house was robbed. Yeah,
and his poor mother held at gunpoint, sixty years old,
which is why it's awful. He was obviously not home,
but mom was home, probably just lives there, takes care
of the house. She's held at gunpoint. They're running around
asking her for keys, asking her, you know, where the

(03:38):
money is, demanding certain things. They were armed, they were masked.
By the time the police got there, they couldn't find
the suspects, who probably just drove out, you know, drove
away in the car. Either way, I'm you know, Takashi
has already come out being like if it was another celebrity,
you guys would be up in arms.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
I know how y'all feel A mummy. You don't care,
but this is my mother. She's sixty years old. This
isn't right.

Speaker 6 (03:58):
She doesn't deserve that much. But it goes with the
territory when you're around him though. That's unfortunate, I know.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
And you watching the video is crazy because he has
home surveillance, so you see the cameras, you see her
in there. It's like, I'm sure he has a gait
idiot at least, I mean, for the love of God,
if you're a snitch, you have to have multiple gates,
all right. And lastly, Nicki Minaj is partnering with the

(04:24):
Trump administration to address the United Nations. She's going to
join the US Ambassador to the UN, Mike Waltz, to
deliver some remarks in New York City. They're going to
spotlight violence committed against Christians in Nigeria. Waltz has complimented
Nikki on Twitter, saying that she principled in an individual

(04:44):
who refuses to remain silent in the face of injustice.
Nicki then tweeted back and said, Ambassador, I am just
so grateful to be entrusted with an opportunity of this magnitude.
I do not take it for granted it means more
than you know.

Speaker 6 (04:57):
This is actually like pretty big doing this too. And
I hope nobody else make this makes this into a
negative thing for her.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
Yeah, because there has been a lot of negative press
around her, and I would say, well deserved. Nikki's been
acting crazy, but this type of stuff is important and
hopefully she's on the right track. Hey, that is three
things need to know for Tuesday, November eighteenth.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
Let's do the check in. What are you doing? How
are you doing? What's going on?

Speaker 3 (05:20):
Six one seven, nine three one one nine four five?
That a six one seven nine three one one nine
four five call ups. We're talking about your life, your world,
anything you want. If you've had it on your mind
and you want to chat about it, we'll do it
right here. Six one seven nine three one one nine
four five. It's the check in only on Jammin only
four or five.

Speaker 6 (05:37):
Say in the jam In Morning Show, good morning.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Bustin's number one for hip hop jam in ninety four five.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Hi, everybody, good morning. It's actually in the jam In
Morning Show. I feel like I'm all out of whack.
Layla's like poor babe, She's like projectile vomiting at the howl.
She has this crazy fever. I mean, it's like when
this stuff happens, when they're this little, there's not really,
you know, much to be done if it's just throwing
up and the fever. Hopefully she just has a stomach bug.

(06:06):
But the fireman's on the phone of the doctor. No,
I'm trying to figure it out. It's just like, you know,
it's real life stuff.

Speaker 6 (06:10):
You also hope it doesn't go through the house, which
is a whole other thing because that happened. To listen,
because you know it happened not too long ago.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
It's just how do you find ways to bring it up.
I don't like, I can't ever be honest.

Speaker 6 (06:23):
You said the stomach bug. I just followed through the
reality that it could happen to talk to him about life.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Sonome is in Wuburn. Hi Synome, good morning, Good morning.

Speaker 5 (06:34):
I love this. You wont gunna tickets on the show I.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
Did, and everyone was like, oh my god, you're not
gonna get the tickets.

Speaker 7 (06:42):
They're never gonna show up.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
I had a time last night, so it was good.
It was it was a little short, but it was amazing.
He did what he had to do.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
I love to hear this so short is in like
his set was was short. On the shorter side.

Speaker 7 (07:00):
He's played a couple of songs.

Speaker 6 (07:01):
You know he was there, you know, not too long.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
He was there enough.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Was it that MGM musical?

Speaker 4 (07:11):
Yes it was.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
I've never been to that venue, but anytime somebody calls
in and tells us that they went, they say, it's unreal.
There's not a bad seat in the house. Do you
agree give me a review?

Speaker 4 (07:20):
I definitely agree. I feel like TD you need to
step up. I love it.

Speaker 6 (07:25):
Wow, no matter what side, no matter what angle you're on,
it's perfect seating.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
I love this so nome. Thank you for the call
because I have yet to go to a show there.
There's not anybody that I'm like, oh.

Speaker 5 (07:37):
I have to. But again, everybody speaks so highly.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
Sometimes the smaller venues are a little bit more intimate,
you have a better angle.

Speaker 6 (07:44):
I've never been, but I always say that the acoustics
in their program.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
They do. And when Santi says that all the acoustics there,
I giggle to myself because he's never wants Benny has
no idea. This is interesting. Angel is in Lowell. Angel,
Did you talk Did you talk to Angel son or
did agel. Okay, so Angel is in the land of
make believe. I guess you feel like we have a
do not call list on this show people that we don't.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
Y'all gotta let it ring, lit, y'all gotta let it
ring till the person gets annoyed. List, so you guys,
like three times, y'all don't pick up you.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Ready for this?

Speaker 5 (08:19):
We can't see phone numbers.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
We we it is It is literally illegal for us
to see phone numbers, So how could we possibly screen
your call if we don't know it is you calling?

Speaker 4 (08:32):
Well, well, for the roll of the dice here, I
didn't even get to talk yesterday, so we have that.
Uh yeah, So basically y'all made me sit on the
phone and made me cry.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Yeah, okay, well that's fine. That probably happened to a
bunch of other people too. As much as I would
love to never play a single song and or commercial,
we have to because that's the way we make money.
And I can't get to every call and it's it's upsetting.
I would love to talk to everybody. So Angel, no,
let's get this out there. There's no such thing because
we literally don't know who is calling because if we did,

(09:02):
we wouldn't take Katie's call every single night. You know,
all right, Angel, thank you for the whatever this was.
I mean, it's funny because people actually think we ignore. Yeah,
and I don't know how. I mean, how many times
have we taken calls when people are like nasty and
mean to us? We don't we can't see who's calling.

Speaker 6 (09:21):
The no numbers pop up, But Angel calls for that
just to say that he was on the no call
list even though he got through. When he's on the air, right, make.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
It makes it? And I and do you know how
many times guys, after we have conversations we have to say, hey,
thank you so much for calling. We ran out of time.
Call us tomorrow.

Speaker 5 (09:35):
I hate it. I wish we could go to everybody,
but we can't. I have too much going on for this, Like.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
I yes, seriously six one seven nine three one one
nine four five. People wonder why I'd have a drinking
problem six one seven nine three one one nine four five.

Speaker 5 (09:49):
Call us, guys.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
We're talking about you, your life, your world, anything you
want one more time? Sixty one seven nine three one
one nine four five check it, everybody, Good morning, It's
Ashley in the Gym Morning show. By the way, speaking
of Drake Son, Drake was on his Instagram this morning
playing tennis with Sexy Rett.

Speaker 5 (10:07):
You have to check those things, Yeah, check those Okay,
that's interesting.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
Yes, all right, we're checking in. Let's go to Dennis
in waymou. Dennis wants to prove to everybody, which is
a fact that we do not screen calls.

Speaker 5 (10:19):
Thank you, Dennis.

Speaker 4 (10:21):
Good morning guys. I usually call and have jokes about
Ashley yep, and I don't think she appreciates it. But
I always when I do call, I always get put on,
so I don't think I get screamed.

Speaker 5 (10:34):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Yeah, Dennis has made fun of me many times. I
believe Dennis at one point said he worked at the
local CVS and my burden cream or something crazy was ready.
So yes, Dennis, thank you. I you know, the jokes
are fine, but you are solid proof that we don't
screen calls.

Speaker 5 (10:49):
So thank you for that.

Speaker 4 (10:52):
Oh sure, it being Thanksgiving. I'm in a truck from
six am to ten am, so I'm a full time
Ashley listen. Wow, and you guys do a great job.
I'll get in the side like you guys are the
best show in Boston.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
Oh my god, Well, thank you guys, hey for all
the other calls to get through those to get to that.

Speaker 5 (11:10):
I'll take it. Thank you so much. It is my cream.

Speaker 3 (11:12):
Ready.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
Do you have any idea?

Speaker 3 (11:14):
Thank you?

Speaker 5 (11:18):
That was really nice.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
But yeah, I just somebody wrote me and was like, wow,
you really handled that like a lord. It just it
makes me mad because how many times have we put
people on or played talkbacks where they're being nasty and
means to us like I don't shy away from any calls.

Speaker 5 (11:31):
I never would, but hey, but do we run out
of time often? Yes?

Speaker 6 (11:36):
Absolutely?

Speaker 3 (11:37):
And that won't mean that in a braggeat. I mean,
it's not Brigden like we trust me. If we weren't
playing two songs in a row, I would have to
hear it. I would have to hear it. Joshus and
Chelsea wants to give a little shout out to his podcast.

Speaker 5 (11:49):
Hi, josh No, my.

Speaker 7 (11:51):
Podcast is one of my coworkers' podcasts. It's called Solo
Cup Saturdays. It's a couple of local DPW guys love
it and everybody should go on Apple Music and Spotify
and subscribe.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
This is the one that you gave a shout out
to the other day and I go read the bio
because we didn't know what was what was going on.

Speaker 7 (12:09):
Yeah, it's one of my close friends, John Benacore. He
runs it. He's real good guy and a bunch of
friends over there.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Well, Josh, most people when they have a podcast, they
kind of like they have a certain topic that they
kind of stick to.

Speaker 5 (12:21):
What do they talk about on Solo Cup Saturdays?

Speaker 7 (12:24):
They go, they go talk about anything. It's just a yeah,
anything and everything they talk about.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
Okay, Well, if you want to check it out, if
you're looking for something new to listen to on Apple,
you can check out Solo Cup Saturdays.

Speaker 5 (12:35):
Thank you for the call, Josh.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
Steve is in Saugus, speaking of running out of time.
We are, but I had to go to this one.
Steve said he was in the car with his daughter.
She's with you, and she heard me say if you
have something to say, call me and say it.

Speaker 5 (12:49):
So put her on, Steve, Let's talk to your little girl.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
Here. She is here, I tell you, say, hi, Oh
scared everyone a Christmas?

Speaker 3 (13:02):
Merry Christmas? Hey, not even Thanksgiving. I like her attitude.
We're moving on. She's ready for Klaus Steve, thank you
for the call. It's always talk with the kids because
you just never know. That's why I don't put my
own on. They clam up, did your elf on the shelf?
Did it come from the North Pole yet?

Speaker 5 (13:19):
Hell?

Speaker 3 (13:20):
No, December one enough And remember I got the four footer.

Speaker 6 (13:26):
Walks around.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
Everyone's like, are you stupid? Like you should have seen
the nasty messag. I'm not you. That's going to be
I think.

Speaker 6 (13:30):
You should use the big one.

Speaker 5 (13:32):
No, that's how can I because that one's going to.

Speaker 6 (13:35):
Have more magic from the North Pole and the presence.

Speaker 5 (13:37):
Is going to be very cute.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
Though.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
We were over my neighbor Lisa's yesterday and she has
her kids are older, so she puts hers out as
like decor. And I told Layla, said, you might want
to go over there and tell him, like, you know,
tell l fie l c her soon.

Speaker 5 (13:51):
So she did. She went over there at a full
long conversation. Dude, they're invested.

Speaker 6 (13:55):
Yeah, our elf comes the day after Thanksgiving.

Speaker 5 (13:59):
What's your health's name?

Speaker 6 (14:00):
It's a girl. I forget what her name is.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
No, I'm not want to figure that out for when
you right here, she's here. Susan from the north Pole
say show good morning.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
Bustin's number one for hip hop jam in ninety four
or five.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
Nancy Got Got, Nancy Got Got. Okay, I think we
all can admit that we've gone on social media and
we have sent a post to our bestie and been
like look at this, yes, like and and talked trash.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
Right.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
I mean, let's if you haven't get off your high horse,
because that's listen. We all know that everybody talks a
little bit of you know what, the way to do
it is respectfully to your friends. It's like, what's happening
on my Instagram post with the headbuts get stop talk
bad about me, but have respect do it in the
DMS to your friends.

Speaker 6 (14:54):
I feel like sending that to your friends is one
of the most consistent things that people do, like on
an everyday basis.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
Solutely let's let's let's keep it even more real song.
Some people follow people and like in this case because
they don't even like them, but they like to watch
the videos and send them and talk smack.

Speaker 6 (15:09):
Absolutely. I feel like I follow some people like that too.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
So Winnie, who used to work at Kiss Want to
Wait posted and she said, sometimes we get Karen's or
negative Nancy's. Now. Nancy meant to send the video of
Winnie to her friend to talk smack, but instead the
age old mistake sent it directly to Winnie. Oh my god,

(15:35):
she said, she is so gross, but I follow her
just to see how gross she is and her lisp.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
Ha ha ha ha.

Speaker 6 (15:44):
It's like really mean when you're reading it like that,
But we know people do it.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
Ah, absolutely, And I think even Winnie could stomach her
doing it respectfully and sending it to her friend, like
I mean, when he's never gonna like her or be
friends with Nancy. But it's like you want to talk
bad about me, Paul, lease go just yeah.

Speaker 6 (16:01):
Do you remember the time that I did this to
another literal in our industry.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
A little literal other radio person. Yes, I do.

Speaker 6 (16:09):
And I like the pannic that you feel when you
realize what you've done is like so bad.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
It's just like your butt, like you know when you
get nervous, and it's like her, like, we didn't we
were planning how were we going to come back from
it because we didn't know.

Speaker 6 (16:24):
And I don't remember what happened because I'm so horrified
that I blocked that part out like how did we recover?
And I say we because I'm trying to send the
video to you.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
Here's here's what you do if you like you send
the video. Here's how I do it. So this doesn't
have to make you send the video. And then you
close the app and you take a breath. Then you
go back into the app, and then you start typing
because at that point the video is sent to who
you want to send it to. Right, yes, unless you
accidentally just send the video to which.

Speaker 6 (16:53):
You can get away with it. It depends what you
wrote in that message too. I guess it goes the
same thing. Texting the wrong person. I used to work
with somebody who we were all in the same room.
He texted he was he was trying to text me
saying why this person got like go from another job
that they were involved in. He accidentally texted the other
person that was in the room telling them why they

(17:15):
got like go from the other job that they were
involved in. And I remember watching it all play out
and not understanding why this person was in full panic mode.
But it was so blatant and so to the point
that he had to admit to her that he accidentally
sent a text, but she clearly knew, but also why
they got let go too.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
I did it to my college coach. Yeah, remember I
was I meant to text my best friend. Were sitting
in a gym. It was the summer, and our coach
was there to recruit, and she walks in and I
text my best friend and.

Speaker 5 (17:44):
I was like, oh god, the bitch is here. And
I sent it to the bandage. I sent it to
the girl. So there was just no way to recover
from it.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
And in my typical best friend fashion, she was like, people,
you can transfer, people will pick you up, like you're good,
You're a good enough shooter somebody. We were really planning
on what other schools I could go to because I
didn't know how to. There's no other way to recover
from it. Like, she was walking in the gym and
I text her I so I watched her pick up
her phone, all of it.

Speaker 6 (18:10):
But like, how'd you come back from that?

Speaker 3 (18:12):
Cause I just apologized and I just yeah, like yeah,
like there's not what else.

Speaker 6 (18:17):
But honestly, like that's bad, that's uncomfortable. But you could
have said worse than like the bitch.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
You shouldn't like it. Yeah, but it's just accidents happen.
But this Instagram thing is running ramp that people are
they're hitting the video. So here's the thing. If Santy
posts a story where he's like showing card or something right,
and I open up that video and I'm watching it
and there's a text at the bottom that's going to Santa,

(18:43):
you have to just hit the arrow, send it to
your friend, give it a second, and then.

Speaker 5 (18:47):
You talk your trash like the rest of us.

Speaker 6 (18:50):
Yes, And the tough thing with Instagram is that they're
constantly changing things so often that sometimes you lose track
of how to do this, like effectively.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
Has anybody done that? I know you have? And if
you're get off the high horse and come down to
earth with us six one seven nine three one one
nine four five six one seven nine three one one
nine four five. I meant to send it to my
friend and talk a little smack, but I accidentally send
it to the person.

Speaker 6 (19:18):
Say good morning.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
Bostin's number one for hip hop heam in ninety four five.

Speaker 3 (19:26):
Hi, everybody, good morning. I'd like to correct myself there.
That's that's the one thing about live radio that I love,
but also you know, can get you messed up as
we were hearing about Brian Walsh changing his plea to
guilty from not guilty. You know, it was happening live.
I was trying to mute the TV, so I may

(19:46):
have made a mistake right there. But I have a
little bit more information now. Brian walshould we all know
has uh Or is being tried for the murder of
his then wife on A Walsh. He was expected in
court today.

Speaker 5 (20:00):
We knew this.

Speaker 3 (20:01):
They were gonna start picking the jury for his trial.
He was charged with three different counts. He initially had
pled not guilty to all three counts. The crazy thing
that is happening now this morning is he is changing
two of his three plea deals. He's basically pleading guilty
to two of three. The two that he's pleading guilty
to guys is misleading a police investigation and essentially improper

(20:24):
transportation of a human body. Yes you heard that correct,
So he is basically saying, yes, I evaded the police
and I lied to them with this investigation, and yes
I moved her body around. But he is still pleading
not guilty to the murder. So essentially this trial will

(20:44):
now focus on the actual murder of on a Walsh,
not the other two, not lying to the cops, not
moving the body. He's like, I did those things, but
he's still pleading out not guilty to that murder charge.
I was saying to Santi off Air, I'm not a lawyer,
you know whatever, But just hearing that, that leads me
to believe that he doesn't believe the Commonwealth can prove

(21:07):
that he killed him.

Speaker 6 (21:08):
Yes, even though we all know.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
That he did, even though we all know that he did,
he knows they have enough to prove that he moved
that body around, and he cut it up into pieces
and moved her around, and that he lied to the
police about her whereabouts. Remember he told him that she
was in DC for work, meeting, all the things. But
what that tells me is he doesn't believe that the
Commonwealth can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he is

(21:32):
the one that killed her.

Speaker 6 (21:33):
Which is crazy to think that he believes that because
there's so much evidence proven that he did it, like
the fact that he's searching how to dismember the bodies
and all this stuff. And he pleaded guilty to these
two things. But it's probably the fact that they can't
now use this in the trial. I assume, Yep, this
whole thing is crazy.

Speaker 5 (21:48):
It's so crazy.

Speaker 3 (21:50):
He's guilty, Yes, he obviously is.

Speaker 5 (21:53):
Guilty, but.

Speaker 6 (21:56):
Yeah, oh she was.

Speaker 4 (21:57):
You know, I.

Speaker 6 (22:01):
Wait what I was saying.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
Okay, so this is listen a lot of moving parts here,
but I want to make sure that I corrected myself.

Speaker 5 (22:08):
Brian Walsh has.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
Changed his plea deal on too, has changed his plea,
I'm sorry on two of the three charges, pleading guilty
now to line to the police and moving the body illegally,
saying yes I did those things. But he's still pleading
not guilty to her actual murder. So they're going to
pick these jurors today. They're going to go to trial,
but he will only be looking at that murder charge

(22:30):
as he pled guilty to the other two.

Speaker 6 (22:32):
Son shout outs, Oh Jamie, to the juice, the rest
in peace

Speaker 3 (22:36):

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
