Dashy and the jam In Morning Showwith DJ fourn and Saw a Big Morning
Bustin's number one for hip hop damIn ninety four five. Hi, everybody,
good morning, Happy tesday. We'redoing the check in right now,
checking in on you, your life, your world. How the hell are
you? What's going on? Youcan ask us something, you can tell

(00:21):
us something. You can just saywhat's up? Six one seven nine three
one one nine four five. Thatis six one seven nine three one one
nine four five. We're going tokick it off with Maria in Gloucester.
Hi. Maria, Hi, guys, how are you doing? What's up?
Babe? Quick question? I knowyou said you did pelvic floor therapy
before and you loved the lady youwant to go see? Yes, who

(00:44):
was it? Okay? So,by the way, I still go to
pelvic floor therapy. But originally, yep, I went to pelvic floor therapy
after I had given birth to Layla, because I, if I'm being frank
with everybody, was like laughing andpeeing myself, sneek sneezing and peeing myself.
So I had to strengthen that badboy back up. Yes, So

(01:06):
now Maria, I'm going just tokind of like prepare myself and prepare my
pelvic floor for birds. Yeah,so I go to Cray therapy. That's
what it's called Cray therapy. Itis in Braintree, and my pelvic floor
therapist is a woman by the nameof Cindy, And I like, there's
not enough words for how much Iwould recommend not only pelvic floor therapy,

(01:33):
but her just in general, becauselet's be honest, it's you know it,
that's just that's a special area, okay, and right, you want
to feel comfortable and you want totrust the person. But I was just
so over peeing myself, Like Iwould jump and pee, I would laugh,
and it just it got to thepoint where I was like, Okay,

(01:53):
I need to fix this. Somany women just suck it up and
deal with it when there's so manydifferent things you could be doing, you
know, just your breathing and andand all of the things. So yeah,
if anybody is listening and they're they'reworried about their pelvic floor, uh,
Cray therapy in Braintree. I seeCindy, and honestly, everybody over
there is nothing but nice. Goahead, Sony's gonna make a quick vagina

(02:15):
job. You like it's stronger.Well, I'm not sneezing and peeing myself
anymore, but Cindy has given vaginastrength. There you go, Maria,
if you you're welcome, babe, thanks for the call. I don't think
enough women prioritize their pelvic floor postbirth, because you can mean think about

(02:37):
the things that are happening to yourbody. I have to imagine that most
women don't know like where to gofor Maybe it's embarrassing as well. I
did. Well, I'm not embarrassedfor some people yet for sure. And
again, therapy to get ready forbirth and strengthen your public floor to get
ready is gonna look different than posthaving a baby and figuring all that out.

(02:58):
But you know, I think, yeah, you're right, it could
be a little bit embarrassing or it'sit's it's intimate if you will, and
fun fact for you. Cindy isnot only my pelvic floor therapist, guys,
but she also is an amazing photographerand she always does my Halloween photo
shoot. So I just feel sobad for her because not only is she
taking care of my vagina, butshe's taking care of my photos as well.

(03:20):
It's a two for one special care. Let's talk to Doug. Doug
is hi dog? Hey, how'sit going? Doug? Will you do
me a fa? Okay? Wesounds a little bit better. Now.
Do you have us on speaker Bluetooth? Yeah? Okay, yeah, let's
get us on speak because I wantpeople to hear about this. You just
started a brand new foundation. I'mcalling to bring some awareness. I started

(03:47):
called the Greater Than Addiction Foundation. And we're out of your hamster. Okay,
so it's called the Greater Than AddictionFoundation. You're out of Nashville.
Why did you start a foundation likethis? Are you yourself in recovery?
I am. I've been. I'mcoming up to two years in September.
That's amazing. Yeah, it's it'spretty sweet. It's definitely living a better

(04:13):
life than I was an act ofaddiction, found out a lot about myself
and just trying to help other peoplethat really need the help. Because when
I went into recovery in New Hampshire, there's not really many options. The
only options you can really find isgoing into a twelve step recovery program,
and that's that really wasn't for mebecause I'm not really a religious type of

(04:38):
guy. Yeah, so, andtheir whole model they kind of want to
like pull you out of your homeand bring you into a sober house,
which just isn't practical because like youdon't want to uproot your whole life to
get help. That makes sense.Well, listen, I haven't gone through
it, but I know so manyfriends that I've lost friends to addiction.

(05:01):
I know how hard it can be. I know that you know there's somebody
for sure listening right now that's struggling. If they're hearing this conversation, what
do you feel like, Doug theGreater Than Addiction Foundation can do for them?
We can, We'll take a lookat their application. You can go
right on our website Greater than Addictiondot org and you can fill out our

(05:25):
intake form, or you can dosome research yourself right on the website.
We have over two hundred programs listedon our network in every state across America,
it's not Justiny Hampshire. And ifyou fill out our intake form,
we can start the process in findingthe right fit for you individually. That's

(05:47):
kind of the route that we takeis we realize that everybody has different goals
and different therapy options. Yeah,so we really like to do that.
I love that, Doug two yearsin counting. That's amazing. Like I
said, I know somebody listening isprobably struggling right now. If you could

(06:08):
give them one small piece of advice, I'll let you leave everybody with that.
What would it be? The sunwill rise again even if you have
a bad day, and you'll riseas well. I love that. Okay,
Doug, Well, thank you, thank you for the call. You
guys know that. I you know, I've lost so many people to addiction.

(06:30):
I know so many people that strugglewith that and that's a daily thing.
And to be two years is amazing. That's a daily struggle. That's
a second to second, minute tominute struggle. So I love that he's
doing that. If you want totalk to a song, I was gonna
say we should play a song forokay, We're gonna play a song six
one seven nine three one one ninefour five. If you're on hold,
do not go anywhere. Six oneseven nine three one one nine four five.

(06:53):
We're talking about whatever you want. It's the check in only on Jamin.
Hi, everybody, good morning,It's Ashley the Jam of Morning Show.
We are checking in with you inyour life right now? What is
going on? Rache is an Attleborough. Rachel is a first time caller,
and Rach, damn. I alwayssay, you know, you think you
got it bad, there's certainly someoneelse that has it worse. You were

(07:15):
walked out on a month ago byyour husband. Yeah. So on top
so, yeah, so we werehaving issues and I brought my baby and
my two other kids out to avacation that was a five hour drive.
He refused to come with me.Okay, no problem. I had the

(07:36):
conversation. You know, if thereare no changes when I get back,
I can't be doing this anymore.I have three children I need to raise
in the stress and anxiety of youonly worrying about me but not your baby
kind of rubs me the wrong way. Now, on top of that,

(07:58):
my landlords are because they're older andthey do not want children in the house.
And if we reverse my life goingback almost ten years now, just
like the previous caller, I wasan active addiction. I lost my boys.
Wow. Then I got full custodyback and got married. I'm literally

(08:22):
where I wanted to be. Igo on vacation, we come home.
He has been nowhere to be found. Except for twice, and one of
the days he left in the middleof the night because the baby is very
sick and he couldn't handle it.So now I'm dealing with what the hell
do I do to protect me andmy family? And then not only that,

(08:43):
is he's not even going to thecourt for the eviction that he's supposed
to be going to rach This isthe first off. This is a lot,
So I don't know how you're dealingwith all of it, but I
will say it doesn't sound like hisfirst priority is the kid, And to
me, that means he's gotta go, Like you gotta you have to do

(09:03):
your best to move on from that. That that's really what I hear in
this. And like the thing is, I'm okay with that because at the
end of the day, I knowmy babies are going to be taking care
of damn well good because I'm apretty damn good mom. For everything I
went through, I pushed through it. Yeah, and I'm a good mom,

(09:24):
like you know. So now it'sthat maybe it's time to go to
the courthouse, or yeah, maybeit is you have to go. You
gotta make that decision for yourself. That's what it is common any message that
comes through which he has blocked. But if I like, he calls me
another number, so I'll just unblockit. And then it's well, I'm

(09:46):
gonna come take here when you're sleepingbecause he has the house key and m
not too Mike of Tea, Yeah, how about we change the locks on
the door. Let's just start therefor sure. Yeah, will for the
babies. Yeah, I didn't thinkabout that. Now. He's not abusive.
He's a great guy. I justfeel as though when he had this
baby, thinks the baby replaced him. Maybe we shouldn't call him a great

(10:09):
guy if he's threatening at before beforethe baby was born. Yeah. Normal.
You hear people say this a lot. Well, in the beginning of
the relationship, it was great.Well guess what that doesn't mean that's going
to be that way the whole time. And Rach, you got to figure
out what's best for you. Sogood luck to you. Change those lucks,

(10:33):
figure it out, keep us posted. Okay, I call you guys
next week. Will we'll be here. Thanks for the call. You have
a good day. Sounds like absolutelyterrible guy. Terrible see Yuah ash is
in Plymouth, hi ash Hire.My god, I'm so excited. I

(10:54):
listen to you guys every morning,my son and I actually, and I
just want to say, give ashout out to my son Dominic. He
probably can't hear because he's on theSchool of Us right now, but I'm
like, I'm like shaking, I'mso excited. Oh my god, well
listen. We appreciate you listening somuch. Of course, it's it's just

(11:15):
I couldn't. I don't know thefact that you guys, you know,
brought an addiction with a touchy subjectto me because I have just over five
years clean, So like it's Icouldn't get a date together before. Yeah,
I shouldn't be now with the otherWell, that's why, you know.
I felt like he was kind ofdownplaying being two years clean. And

(11:37):
that's such an amazing feat because everyday is a battle. How how long
have you been clean? Ash?Just over five years? Wow? Five
years? That is crazy, that'samazing. It is thank you. I
really appreciate that. You know.My son's actually weeping in right now because
I told him I was like tryingto text so bad, texting that I'm

(12:00):
going to be on the radio. But I was like shaking. Solo words
probably probably smelled it all wrong.I want to congratulations too, Thank you,
thank you. I appreciate that beautifulthing. We're in the final stretch,
baby, well, Ash, thankyou so much for listening. I
mean, I can't say enough.I know you have a ton of options
and it really doesn't mean so muchto us that you choose us, So

(12:22):
thank you for that. Oh yes, No, I love you guys.
I love you guys so much.Thank you so much. Send Dominic my
love. Thanks for the call,Thank you so much. Bye, guys,
bye, just texting crazy to ourson kids. Like, what the
hell Riz wants to talk about theCeltics winning? Yes? Please, hi,
Ris, Yes, yes, wewant to end on a positive.

(12:43):
Yes. One more game and theCelts are done with you and we're done.
We are going into the next round. How do you guys feel about
us winning at home? I like, I like winds, no matter where
they are, I'll take them.I love that Lebron will be on the

(13:05):
beach somewhere and we'll still be playing. That also brings me exactly. Listen,
I think from the beginning of theseason, everybody has kind of felt
like a magic around this team.Of course, of course, The only
thing that I'm concerned about is theinjury from plasingas. That's it. No,
I don't like I don't like seeinghim in a suit with a boot.

(13:26):
That doesn't make me feel good. No, that doesn't. That doesn't
and it's and it's nerve wrecking. But at the same time, I know
he's a warrior, so you'll pullthrough. Riz. Let me just take
a second. So, son, there's a sport called basketball. It has
an orange ball and you put itin this net thing. Yes, and
sometimes it's worth two points and othertimes it's worth three. There's are in

(13:46):
the playoffs, very important, youknow, Riz. We got to make
sure he's on the same page.Of course. Come on, all right,
Ris, Well, no, I'mglad we ended it with you.
Thank you for that. Go sees. A win is a win. We'll
take it anywhere. But yeah,we've we've been talking about the Celtics here
and there, and this team isdefinitely special. I love watching them play.

(14:07):
Do we feel like they're gonna winthe championship? Yes? I think
they can, absolutely think they cando. We think we'll get to go
to a playoff game. Because youhaven't mentioned the Celtics I've been been in
to hit the group time. Yeah, something. What about addiction? What
about that conversation
