(00:00):
The game is one of the trenches. They just don't have to beat up
front, all right, so youbetter have beef up front. They have
the skilled position players, they havethe defensive backs, they have the quarterback.
They don't have to beat up front, they says, your weekly stop
for all things college football. Nowhere are your hosts, Ryan Coyle and
Sean Brace. That's right. Youcannot win without that Beef up front and

(00:25):
a good evening everybody. Another editionof Beef up Front, your weekly stopped
for all things college football, andI am Sean Brace is always joined by
Ryan Cory, Ryan and a goodevening to you college football. You know,
some people were saying some of thosegames were kind of, you know,

(00:45):
underwhelming as a whole. Last week, I don't know. I just
sat on my couch and didn't moveand enjoyed it from start to finish.
I loved every second of it.Had some winners, had some heartbreak,
a normal Saturday at college football.Your thoughts, Yeah, I mean,
I feel like usually when you gointo a slate that with that much hype,
I feel like unless every play comesdown to the final play, like

(01:06):
the Notre Dame Estate game, youmight be leaving a little bit underwhelmed,
but started off the day with thewinner with Florida State. That was an
exciting one. In overtime, movedNotre Dame a little bit of juice at
kickoff to plus three and a halfhit on that. So it was still
all in all fun day, andlike you said, it was just started
at twelve watching and didn't go tobed until the USC Arizona State game is

(01:30):
over. So just a fun dayand all, and looking forward to another
good week this week, absolutely allright, A lot to get to first
of all, of course, wewant to get everybody involved. Always find
us on socials at Fox PHL Gamblerstreaming right now, Ryan Coyle thirty five,
you don't have an underscore, rightjust Ryan Coyle thirty five. Yep,
I knew that and I am seanunderscore brace all right, Ryan,

(01:52):
A couple of thoughts from the weekthat was as we just brought it up,
and let's start with Notre Dame andOhio State. Take through your thought
process and why you bumped that upto the hook three and a half and
you came out on top. Anice call there, a great game.
I'm so bummed because Notre Dame shouldshould have came away with that victory.

(02:13):
The interception was there for the takingon that final drive, and a safety
from Notre Dame did not come upwith it. And if you want to
win the big time games, yougot to come up with the big time
plays. And it doesn't get anybigger than that final drive at home.
If he does that, his nameis going down. And uh, you
know, that's an unbelievable statement.Victory over Ohio State instead Ohio State McCord

(02:35):
drive him down and the regulation tenand on the field and back to back
plays. No good. But whatwas your takeaway and why did you bump
that up to three and a half? I had I had Notre Dame for
our pics just I thought they weregoing to win the game outright, But
as I got closer and closer,I just thought it was gonna come down
to potential like last second field goal. So that's kind of why I bumped

(02:59):
it up a little bit, justa play it safe there, But I
really thought the game was over onthat fourth and one stop that they had.
I thought that was really like thefinal nail in the calf in there,
and then you know, Ohio Stateeventually got the ball back. Kyle
McCord didn't like the World on fireand the staff book, but he came
to play on big plays. Ithink they went ten of seventeen on third
down, and including that big thirdand nineteen throw, he stepped up when

(03:22):
it mattered most. He had notouchdown, but he had no interceptions.
He took care of the ball. And this is Ohio State team. More
times than not. The way thatthey're gonna play football is they're gonna go
out there now Scoria. And thenyou saw Ryan Day kind of gloating about
it how they went punch for punchwith a really physical Notre Dame team.
Credit to them, but Notre DameI still think pushed them around up front.
And I think Michigan kind of watchingthat game, watching that game from

(03:45):
home, is looking their chops, thinking, you know, we're still gonna
be able to do what we've doneto them the past two years, and
that's impose our will in the secondhalf and really run the football. So
I think big picture wise, Michiganis still kind of leading the pack there
for that matchup begins Ohio State downthe line and then Notre Dame. It's
just such a heartbreaking loss for them, because that is a program changing win,

(04:06):
especially under a second year coach. You're going to be in recruiting battles
for kids in the Midwest, mostlikely with Ohio State. So that's a
soul crushing loss there, and nowit's a really quick turnaround to go play
a duke team that's on the comeup as well. Can they bounce back
from that? Is it going tobe too much of an emotional hangover.
That's a big thing to monitor goingforward. But Notre Dame wins out.

(04:29):
They run to the table. They'regoing to be in the conversation come playoff
time. Still, they still haveplenty of opportunities to get some good wins.
Duke Louisville is a really good teamcoming up next week Clemson. Say
what you want about them, they'restill going to be around eight to nine
wins most likely, and they haveUSC as well, so plenty of opportunities
for some good wins. I don'tthink they'll hold a three point loss to
Ohio State, who's most likely goingto be a top ten team the rest

(04:50):
of the season that much against them. My heart skipped a beat when Marvin
Harrison, junior went down with thatinjury, I thought for sure he was
going to be dumb for the season. Luckily, I'm just a doctor from
my couch and not actually in reallife. And he came back and man,
what a talent, what a beasthe is. And you know,
a lot of fun too to seethose prep kids out there and tearing it

(05:12):
up. And it happens on Sundaytoo, more of the prep kids tearing
it up for the Eagles. Soa lot of prep love going on in
Philly these days. All right, keep it moving. As far as college
football, from last week in FloridaState at Clemson, this was one of
the games that we nailed, andthis was a spot for Florida's State to
go in there and say, hey, it's no longer the same old song

(05:32):
and dance. There's a new sheriffin town. They got lucky, though,
and it was due to a kickkicker that was pulled off of the
street that kicked from him and previoustimes and apparently he was in grad school
online grad school had some some timeleft to be able to come in and
kick, and Dabble made the calland came down to him and he pulled
it and Florida State gets the ball, they go to one, unable to

(05:57):
make it happen in regulation, theygo to overtime, and that's where they
were able to win it. Butyour thoughts on that game from a whole
you are the seminole backer here onthe program. Yeah, so, I
mean that was certainly not the bestFlorida States looked that we've seen them so
far in the year. But mywhole take with them, which why I
thought it was a bit of abull move to take them with that national

(06:18):
title pick, was it could bea September to remember for them or a
September to forget. They could eitherbe two and oh leaven or excuse me,
two and two leaving September with lossesto Clemson and LSU, or they
could be four and now and nowthey have a pretty picture perfect walk to
an undefeated regular season and looking likethey're going to be probably in the top

(06:39):
four as we head into the ACCtitle game. You know, there's still
certainly some spots that they could slipup down the line, but schedule from
here on out is looking pretty easy. And I know some people have been
saying that they're not looking that great, like they're not looking like maybe like
a Penn State has looked really impressedMichigan at times as well, especially with
their defense, But Florida State's kindof giving me like the Eagles vibes,

(07:00):
where it's such a talented team.I don't need to see them go out
there and put up a forty toten victory. I know they're just gonna
go out there nine times out often and be the most the more talented
team on the field. And Ijust have confidence that they're going to go
out there and win the football game. Like I wasn't worried at all.
That's why I took them live athalftime. I believe I got them at
plus one eighty five on the moneyline two at half because I just felt

(07:23):
confident in them. In the secondhalf, they just got more dudes than
the rest of the guys and thatexperienced quarterback. This is a team that
just has that confidence in that unwaveringtype of swagger that I think is really
gonna help carry them throughout the restof the season. And they got a
pretty favorable schedule going forward. Yeah, they got good, good sized receivers
on the outside. They're very aggressiveand that's what They were able to score

(07:44):
that touchdown in overtime, and youjust knew it was coming. It was
just like just they continue to firethe ball down the field and try and
make plays. Credit to Clemson secondary. I thought their corners and safety played
really well and basically kept them inthe game because Florida State had a couple
opportunities to go up there one onone with their wide receivers versus cornerbacks and
weren't able to make it happen. But of course when overtime called, that

(08:07):
was the play that they were ableto hook up on. We will talk
more about Clemson as they are onthe road at Syracuse. Let's keep a
moving. Two quick ones here,Obama and Old Miss, And that one
scared the Bejesus side of me,and rightfully so, because Lane Kiffin talks
a lot man. He talks agreat game, but his team comes up
short, especially when they go upagainst Alabama. Most teams do. But

(08:31):
he is owing five against Nick Sabanin his lifetime. Owing four at Old
Miss versus Saban and Alabama just areally tough one to swallow and one that
I didn't want on my card becauseI heard it and I'm pretty sure I
said it on the previous podcast lastweek. If not, now win right,
I must have heard that saying onevery college football podcast, previous show,

(08:56):
pregame, whatever it may be,they all set and I'm like,
they're not beating Alabama. I didn'tthink it was gonna be that ugly,
really was man? That that wasa bad game for Lane Kiff and your
thoughts and no one. Yeah,I thought Old Miss was kind of walking
into a near impossible situation there.Alabama never loses two games at home in

(09:16):
one season, let alone two ina row, so that was a really
tough spot to walk into. That'swhy I said, all right, if
you want to have some fun withit, throwing that Jackson Dart ticket.
He didn't look exactly the part thatmuch in this one. But they still
have Old Miss, still has anopportunity in front of them this week.
I'm sure we'll touch on a littlebit LSU as well, so they have
a quick bounce back spot and thena pretty favorable schedule from here on.

(09:39):
But Alabama, they have a veryfavorable little schedule going forward. Just their
their toughest game left is LSU,and they get them at home this year.
So despite that loss of Texas,we were saying last week, you
can throw that out the window, like you you went, you went out
in the SEC, You're gonna goto the playoff. And I still think
Georgia doesn't look exactly the part thatwe've seen them from these past two seasons.

(10:01):
They might just be missing like alittle bit of that it factor.
Carson Beck might be a more talentedquarterback, but Stetson Bennett I feel like
was just the guy for that team. He had everyone's confidence. Can Carson
Beck step up in these big games, in these big moments, that still
remains to be seen as well.So the SEC I still think is pretty
open and in terms of maybe someteams coming through because Ole Miss has a

(10:24):
chance to really knock ELSU out thisweek of the playoff contention. Georgia still
on defeated. Obama is looking maybeto find their footing, but the SEC's
not looking as dominant as we've seenin years. Pass I really like the
Big ten and Pac twelve over themright now. But another big game this
week with LSU and All missed andreally an elimination game for both of those
teams playoff hopes Georgia Auburn going headto head this weekend game being played in

(10:48):
Auburn. Three thirty kickoff, fourteenand a half is what DraftKings is showing
here. As I said quickly onthis one, thirty one nothing was the
thirty one nothing. All I knowwas twenty eight to four first downs,
thirty one nothing, Penn State overIowa. I was impressed. I continue
to be impressed by Drawer and whatFranklin has cooking right now with that squad

(11:09):
really good, you know, asfar as skill players are concerned on the
outside, good running backs, soliddefense. Penn State has the Look what
was your takeaway? Yeah, thatwas one of the plays I really liked
last week. We both laid thefourteen and a half there with them,
and that was an easy victory.I tweeted it out earlier. It might
have been last week or just earlierthis week. But if Drew Aller continues

(11:33):
to take care of the football,I think Penn State will win the Big
Ten. Penn State right and howit's pretty insane that they're a few they're
this far into the season, aquarter into the season about but Penn State
is the only team in the countryright now without a turnover, no turnovers
on the season. Oregon only hasone turnover, one interception. But Penn
State with basically a freshman quarterback playinga guy that just got some some reps

(11:58):
here and there sparingly last year,no turnovers. That's super impressive and the
way that they can win games withhim kind of just being that game manager
type guy right now and really justbanking on that defense. I don't care
that it's Iowa. You're still shuttingout a Big ten opponent. That's big
time, especially an opponent like Iowathat's a ranked opponent as well. It's
not like it was this week againstNorthwestern. So I really think that offensive

(12:20):
line is a great group upfront. And Penn State looking more and more as
Aler gets more comfortable like a nationaltitle contender. We just know that's going
to come down to these two biggames against Ohio State and Michigan. That's
right, all right. And finallyfrom last week Colorado, they continue to
pull ratings. They got absolutely smacked, as we kind of thought it would.

(12:41):
The one play that we did sayon this show is the over on
the team total didn't get there.Would they have forty two a half or
something like that, thirty five ahalf and forty two, like midway through
the third we needed three points,I think it was, and it didn't
happen. That's gambling. But theydid roll them and or and dominated from
start to finish. I think theyhad twenty two points in the second quarter.

(13:03):
I think Colorado had twenty one yardsin the second quarter. Just an
absolute beat down. And you know, now there's no surprise there. But
I guess let's go ahead and fastforward, and we will do that for
this card. Do we expect thesame type of result this week in Colorado
versus USC twenty one and a halfpoint spread, So I think Colorado is

(13:24):
going to be able to move theball a little bit more against USC because
we still haven't seen them being exactlygreat defense. I mean, Arizona State
put up twenty eight points on themlast week, and they're a team that's
in a full rebuild right now.My play for this game, though,
I'm looking at the first half underof thirty eight and a half. Never
liked to take like a full gameunder with Caleb Williams and Lincoln Riley,

(13:45):
but I'm looking at this as likea body clock game USC body clock time
nine am, and Colorado it's atten am, so this is gonna be
like a sleepy first half, Ithink because they wanted the big Newon kickoff
out there. They want the ratings, like you're saying out as polling.
But I'm just not expecting these teamsto come out and light the world on
fire unless they've been practicing all weekssuper early, maybe to get ready for

(14:07):
this, but still that's gonna bean adjustment for sure. That's gonna be
like a five thirty six am wakeup. You're getting to the hotel or
to the stadium six thirty at thelatest. So this is like a JV
football game on a Saturday morning typething timing wise, But I'm looking at
that for the first half. Ithink that could be an interesting play because,
like we were saying with with Oregon, they put up all those points,

(14:30):
but then they took their foot offthe gas. The big the packs
wall of going forward has all thesebig games, I don't think these teams
in these blowouts really want to beshowing too much. So I do expect
Colorado to move the ball a littlebit more against this USC team, but
I'm expecting more of the same thatwe saw against Oregon and for USC to
win this one pretty comfortably again, especially with Hunter out once again, highest

(14:50):
total on the board at seventy threeand a half USC, do you play
any defense? I guess it's thebig question there. Not really, So
all right, let's keep it movingoff of that game. Let's talk about
a game that has two ranked rankedteams going head to head. And we
touched on at to start, andit's definitely one that has my attention it

(15:11):
should have yours, and that isDuke and Notre Dame. Duke, of
course, with the big time upsetover Clemson to kick off the season,
big time victory, maybe the biggesthome game and Durham's and Duke's history in
Durham, this one, I thinkit takes up another level as game day
is there and Notre Dame with allof the attention that they had last week.
Really interesting spot total coming in atfifty two five and a half is

(15:35):
to spread the Irish or favorite onthe road at Duke, where are you
going in on this one here?Because I was eyeing up the total,
I talked to myself both ways.I liked the over I thought, you
know, you'd see Sam Hartman startto sling it, You're gonna get Notre
Dames. You know they want toget that bad taste out of their mouth.
Duke's defense is really good, though, and I don't want to underplay
them. Good quarterback play from fromDuke as well. I want to believe

(16:00):
we're gonna see some fireworks, butI won't be shocked if this is a
low scoring, knock them down, drag him out type of game with two
solid defense. Where are you goingon this one? Yeah, I'm expecting
kind of the same style of playthat we saw last week with that Notre
Dame Ohio State game. I'm expectinga lower scoring battle and this one I
actually have Duke winning this game outright. My pick on the Beef up Front

(16:22):
podcast on Pick Swop Media this weekwas twenty three twenty Duke. So I'm
taking Duke plus the five and ahalf there or whatever it's up to now,
six, but I'd say keep thepoints as well. I just think
such an emotional hangover type spot. And like I said at the beginning of
the year and the Week one gameagainst Clemson, this is like the Super
Bowl down there and Durham right now, this is I think this game goes

(16:44):
up a notch, Like you said, with Game Day in the house.
Now, this is just another bigspot for this Duke team that's certainly on
the rise. Well, Mike Elko, make it pass this here in Duke.
I don't really know. He mightbe able to go and get a
bigger job, maybe like a MichiganState now that they have all that money
from the melt Tucker situation, theycould go pay him. But this is

(17:04):
a Duke team that's legit. Ithink Riley Leonard showed that he's a He's
a player, He's like a Hemight not be the most gifted passer in
the world, but the dude's agamer. And I just think that loss
last week, as we were talkingabout with Notre Dame, was such a
big spot for them, not justin the moment, but program wise.
That's just such an emotional hangover typespot the ten men on the field as

(17:26):
well. I mean, it's somethingthat I think it might just be a
little bit too hard to get over. So I'm gonna take Duke at home.
Vegas can keep the points if youwant to play it's safe there with
that, do that, but I'mgonna take them on the money line.
I'm feeling pretty confident about that one. Yeah, I kind of like the
points. If I'm gonna make aplay right now, I'm gonna ride with
the home the home dog. Andespecially what we've seen Riley Leonard, Like

(17:48):
you brought up man quarterback play Ijust heard today on esp and I want
to say it was that he couldpossibly be a first round draft pick next
year. Yeah, coming into cominginto the year, it was he was
one of the names I heard rightbehind Drake May and Caleb Williams at the
top. So he's a guy that, if you remember from the Clemson game,
is a pretty raw in terms ofterms of high level football. He

(18:11):
was like a basketball player first allthroughout high school and it seems like he's
really just starting to get into itnow. So it might be some untapped
potential there. But if you throwhis name in the mix along with Shador
if he's coming out, you seewhat Pennix has done, You see what
both Nicks has done. JJ McCarthywas talked about in that air as well,

(18:32):
like you could be looking at seveneight quarterbacks in the first fifty picks
of this year's draft, and withall of them respect. He could still
prove me wrong. I just don'tlook at him to be on the level
of those other names that you justtossed out there, especially throwing the football.
He's a gamer, absolutely loved everythingI saw. But at the professional
level, I need my guy tobe able to sling it down the field

(18:56):
and compete with the best of thebest, and I just did not see
that so far. I would hey, prove me wrong against Notre Dame.
Come up with that victory. I'mtaking the points. You're going on money
line. I like that. Allright, let's keep it moving. Next
game up, We're gonna go toFriday here. This one definitely is the
game of the evening and I wasout of Thursday and Friday both nights.
This is definitely the best game onthe college card, and I'm looking forward

(19:18):
to this one. I'm pretty sureyou are as well. PAC twelve Utah
and Oregon State. Oregon State comingoff at at tough eight thirty eight to
thirty five loss. Really good fourthquarter on the road against Washington State.
Good call by you, and Irode with you as well. Keep the
points and Washington State ended up winningthat one. Got a little tight there,
at down the stretch, but OregonState's able to toss up a ton

(19:40):
of points. Utah's got an unbelievabledefense. Willcam rising play, won't be
play? I don't know, butI do know this Utah has burned me
twice, but both times it's beenat Utah Friday nights at Oregon State.
Oregon States at three and a halfpoint favorite forty four and a half is
the total one Draft Kings Sports Book. What do you say to that,
Ryan, Oregon State's kind of aUS spot where they might be in the
position of a little bit of anemotional hangover as well against this Utah team.

(20:04):
I think Utah has a good chanceto go on the road and win
this one as well. But I'lltake the points here with the utes.
It's not being talked about enough howgood Utah's defense has been, just because
I think how good the quarterback playin the back twelve has been. With
all these guys going out there puttingup forty fifty points with ease, Utah's

(20:25):
defense has been arguably the best unitin the entire country this year. After
holding UCLA last week to only sevenpoints, they lowered their season average to
only allowing nine and a half pointsper game. That's six bets in the
country, and they held a UCLAteam that scored at least twenty seven points
in every one of their games toonly seven points. They started that game
off with the pick six set thetone, and it's kind of one of

(20:48):
those things where you get this teama lead early, it's gonna be hard
to climb to climb back and climbout of that hole. So, like
you were saying with Rising, ifhe is able to come back, that
just pushes this team sealing up alittle bit more. But they don't really
need him right now the way thatthey've been playing. And I do think,
like you said, Oregon State showedthe ability to go out there and
score last week, but on anideal day, they want to be playing

(21:11):
a twenty to seventeen, a twentyfour twenty type of ball game. That's
the way that they're built. SoI think if they do go out there
and try to play that style, that plays right into Utah's hands as well.
So they might be better suit itto go out there and try to
go score for score. But aswe saw with Utah last week against UCLA,
they've done it against Baylor. That'snot saying much, but still that's

(21:32):
a Power five team. They've beenkind of tested Florida, who went out
there and showed that they can actuallyplay some ball like. It might not
be so much who Utah or Utah'sopponents have played, but more so what
Utah is able to do on thefield themselves. That defense is legit,
and I wouldn't be surprised to seethem at all go on the road here
and pull off the victory. Djuwit they get three interceptions, They played

(21:55):
a really bad game and they stillthrew up thirty five and lost within three,
you know, or lost by three. Yeah, it's a tough one.
It's definitely a tough game. Iwant action on it, but if
I don't place the wager on it, I'll be happy to chill. Definitely.
I'm a believer in Utah and thatdefense. Defense travels, But in
Oregon State, they gotta come awaywith the dove. This is a big

(22:18):
time game for them, coming offat at tough loss last week to Washington
State. All right, let's keepa moving next game up on the card
for US here. Double digits spreadreally intrigues because of Kansas and the few
times that I'll be able to watch. Kansas bet on him one time,
and they delivered in a big wayearlier this season. They think that game
was also on a Friday. IfI'm not mistaken. Sixteen and a half
point Dogs here on the road atTexas, three thirty kickoff, sixty one

(22:42):
and a half is your total.Essentially, he's the best start in Kansas
history, Kansas football history, allthe way back to like nineteen thirty four
and no start Texas. I wasactually talking to Chris Hassell. He called
the Texas Alabama game a little earlier, damn excuse me, and he was
wax and about that defense and someof the big weapons on the offensive or

(23:03):
on the wide receiver position for Texas. We all know that they have plenty
of talent, but Kansas got somedogs too. They can run. Where
are you going? Sixteen and ahalf two teams that haven't played really in
a close game down to the wireyet. Texas average margin of victory so
far this year twenty two and ahalf points per game, and Kansas has
won their games by an average offifteen points per game. So both teams

(23:25):
have been pretty dominant throughout the earlystart of the season, Texas been a
little bit more tested obviously with thatBama game. Kansas had the Missouri State
game in Week one, which kindof inflates that number a little bit.
So I think there's a good measuringstick game. We know what Texas is
at their peak. But now asthey start to get into conference play a
little bit more and things might geta little closer. But Kansas last year,

(23:47):
they started out I believe it wasfour or five and zero and then
they went two and seven down thestretch. So is this kind of the
same start that we saw last year. This team is just going to go
as far as Jaylen Daniels takes him, and if he's able to go out
there, I just don't think theyhave the horses to compete with this Texas
bunch. What I was listening toearlier, I forget what podcast it was
exactly, but they were touching onTexas forever now, even with the when

(24:11):
they were struggling and when these coachesdidn't have great success, they got good
recruits, they got good players, but they didn't develop them into high level
type guys that are NFL players. You look at both sides of the ball
with this team. They have NFLguys everywhere. I just don't really see
that when I'm looking at this Kansasteam. So I'm going to take Texas
here minus the seventeen. I thinkit's a little bit of a slice of

(24:33):
humble pie for Kansas. You're moreso a seven and five, eight and
four team on your best day,and this Texas team is a legit title
contender. I believe in them moreand more every week, just because not
this offense, but this defense.Their defense has been really good and they
can go out there and score fortyfive points if they need to as well.
So I'm gonna take Texas there minusthe seventeen, and I feel like

(24:56):
everyone's going to be on the over. I'd be a little bit hesitant to
do that. I think Texas mightbe able to them out of their take
them out of their groove a littlebit, and slow the game down and
kind of kind of dominate this onefrom start to finish. Five teams under
under double digits as far as oddsare concerned. Eight to one, eight
to one, eight to one,Ohio State, Texas, Florida State,

(25:17):
five to one, Michigan, Georgiacoming in at plus two twenty that is
to win the national championship. Bigspot for Texas. Remember I was questioning
them last week, and what didthey do. They went scoreless in the
first quarter against Baylor, and immediatelythey threw up a twenty eight spot if
I'm not mistaken, in the secondquarter and just completely ran away with it.
Baylor nowhere close to Kansas. Iactually think Kansas runs with him.

(25:40):
You're not gonna go ahead to headon this one. I'm gonna back Kansas,
not to say that, you know, I'm flexing on your or I
believe you know any I think Texasis very well capable of, you know,
winning by twenty four here. ButI'm gonna take Kansas just because they
got some dogs. They got someskilled players, and the few times that
I may aim at to watch, they put up some decent numbers on offense.

(26:00):
So I don't think they'll ever beaut of this game. Maybe the
backdoors open, we'll see should bea phone one. All right, who
let the dogs? Soopop two dogs. Let's get to it. I think
you and I are on the samepage here, which should be scary.
Let's start with Clemson and Syracuse. You know I had Julian Edla from Draftking
sports Book on my show a littleearlier today, Beef, and he said,

(26:22):
man, last week was it?That was the Super Bowl for Clemson.
Big time let down. Now theygot to go on the road,
carry your Dome, Syracuse undefeated thisyear, six and a half point home
Dogs, noon kickoff. This isa dead man, dead team walking.
His thoughts were on Clemson, wheredo you stand? Because I'm gonna Backcus
in this one. I'm gonna takethe points as well. Were you at
in this one? I think it'sanother situation where the Clemson tires should be

(26:47):
on upset alert. This is aSyracuse team. They haven't exactly played,
you know, not the eighty fiveBears, the twenty sixteen Seahawks or whatever.
They played Colgate, Western, Michigan, Perdue an Army. But they're
off to a four and no start. And like you said, this is
a dead team walking in Clemson.Super Bowl type game up there at the
Carrier Dome. You know they're goingto pack it out for this one.

(27:08):
I do think Clemson's on upset alerthere just because last week was deflating.
You missed a twenty nine yard fieldgoal. I believe it was to be
Florida State and really get your seasonback on track. Now you know that
you're out of the playoff hunt.Your best hope is just to kind of
maybe make it to the ACC titlegame. But you're owing two in the
conference already, so not much motivationgoing there for this Clemson team. I

(27:32):
do think Syracuse has a good shotin this one. When I first looked
at the board this week, thatplus seven you said, down a plus
six and a half? Now,right? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
that really just jumped off the boardto me. So I think this is
a certainly a winnable game for Syracuse, and they've shown the ability to put
up some points, and I don'tknow if this Clemson team is built to
put up points yet this year.So I do really like Syracuse this week.

(27:56):
Plus that six and a half? All right, let's stay with the
noom kick. I liked the doghere Kentucky. Actually, WHOA did that
just flip? Today? Florida's nowdog here plus one and a half Kentucky
favorite. I thought Kentucky was thehome dog. I apologize if I got
that wrong. Anyway, short lineminus one and a half for Kentucky forty
four is your total noon. Idon't know. Maybe it was a mental

(28:19):
lapse by me by thinking like Kentuckyshould be the underdog here, but maybe
the line is telling or something here. You know, Florida at the Swamp,
they had to have that game againstTennessee and they played really well.
Other times that I've watched Florida,it's been a little suspicious. Kentucky,
though, is the story. Theygot a good running game, decent linebackers,

(28:40):
quarterback play, moving the football. They should be playing at a better
level. I was actually listening toon college football radio and Sirius they got
that Kentucky Sports Channel whatever it is. The one big guy, he's a
big time, diehard Kentucky football fan, and he was like, man,
you gotta like him up against Floridain this spot here, where do you

(29:02):
stand out? Point and a halfhome favorites, forty four year total,
noom kick. So this is agame that I particularly don't have the best
read on. I would say justbecause I haven't watched that much of Kentucky
because they haven't really played anyone yetthis year. But doing some research on
this matchup earlier. A couple offun facts for you Kentucky's last ten games

(29:22):
against AP ranked teams have gone underthe total point line, so I was
kind of looking at this game originallythinking maybe like a twenty three twenty type
game, So just squeaking the underthere. But Florida has also failed to
cover the spread in eight of itslast nine road games against non AP ranked
teams, So that's another little interestingnugget there. If you made me give

(29:44):
a pick on this game, Iprobably would just take the under. I
think these two are two evenly matchedteams, and we saw Florida at their
worst against Utah. Maybe that wasjust telling us more so what this Utah
defense was going to be. Letwe saw them against at their best against
Tennessee, is that maybe just sayin Tennessee's not decrede of a squad.
This year, we haven't really seenKentucky against anyone yet. They were able
to go out there and put upsome points last week on Vandy, but

(30:07):
once again, that's Vandy. Sothis is a game that I don't know
if I'm exactly gonna lay anything on, but if I did have to make
a pick, I would take theunder. I think these are two physical
teams that are going to want torun the ball and maybe play some game
manager type football. I might comedown to a kicker's foot at the end.
Murtz has definitely been playing better forFlorida. Hasn't thrown an interception since

(30:29):
the first game against Utah. Ofcourse, we know how talented Devin Leary
is when he's healthy, so that'sa big deal for Kentucky. Last time
that these two teams played on Septemberto tenth of last year, Kentucky ended
up winning twenty six to sixteen atthe Swamp. Yeah, that was the
big one too, because that wasright after Florida had knocked off Utah went

(30:52):
up into the polls. All thehype was around Anthony Richardson, and then
after that Kentucky game, they kindof pushed him around and they spiled out
of control a little bit. Perfectsegue because after that first win over Utah
last year, I actually took aflyer in Anthony Richardson twenty five to one
to win the Heisman, and thennothing happened after that. He went to
the other way. Let's talk alittle bit about the Heisman. I want

(31:12):
to start with Pennocks and what he'sdoing out there with Washington. They're scoring
a boatload of points, Washington, what do they have to prove to you?
Still? What's what when I bringthat team up and Panics and what
they're capable of? What are youlooking forward to there? This week?
They're my lock of the week.Minus eighteen this week, I believe is

(31:33):
the number right now. Still, that's my favorite play on the board against
Arizona. Washington's won every game thisseason so far. I know we're still
early in the year, but they'vewon every game by at least thirty four
points. Like it hasn't even beenclose in some of these contests. Two
first round most likely receivers to hisright and to his left working with him,
and as long as he stays healthy, this team is going to be

(31:53):
able to go up and down thefield with just about anyone and score points.
It's kind of been my message ofthe season, I think. But
worried about the ceiling of some ofthese Pac twelve teams just because they all
have to play each other at somepoint they might knock each other off.
But this could be the year wesee maybe a two lost team out of
the Pac twelve get in just becauseof how good they are. At the

(32:14):
top of the conference. So I'mdefinitely buying the hypeball in Washington. I
saw Joel Clyde actually had him ashis number two team in the entire country.
Like they're getting the nationwide respect andthey might not be getting it from
for more so the casual football fansjust because it's Washington. It's not like
an LSU or an Alabama or Georgia. Still Washington team. But this is

(32:35):
a team that I'm buying a lotof stock in and I wouldn't surprise me
to see them in that fourteen playoff. Come come on New Year's Eve this
year. Well, it would benice if they can get a game day
or you know, the big noonkickoff instead of Colorado and USC. But
we all know the reason why,and the eyeballs are there, so it's
a lot of fun. Anyways.Pinnox right now is the leader for odds

(32:59):
on favorite for Heisman at plus threesixty on Draftkiings sports book fell about Kyla
Williams four to one, you weresix to one, Bo Nicks ten to
one, Jordan Travis twelve to one, and we'll stop there, so competic
good topped Williams correct, right,Yeah, because I saw him earlier in
the week I think at both plusthree sixty. So that's pretty that's that's

(33:21):
something with the numbers that Kayla Williamshas been putting up too. I mean,
the thing you have to look atwith Washington, though they have the
Arizona game this week, they haven'treally been tested yet. But after that
they still have Oregon, USC Utah, Oregon State, Washington State. That's
five ranked opponents down the road andyou're ending the season with four of them.
Who knows if if some of thoseguys will be ranked by the time

(33:43):
they match up. But that's notan easy slate, and especially when you
play at Washington, we know theweather up there, and when you're looking
to throw the ball forty five fiftytimes that it's a little bit worrisome.
But they've given you no reason notto believe in them. At the moment.
That number against Arizona this weekend isnow up to nineteen and a half.
I think some people are believing inwhat you were saying as well.

(34:04):
So if you can get that numberright around that eighteen eighteen and a half
mark, folks, you need togo ahead and fire, because beef is
on the Huskies. All right,Ryan Coyle, great stuff, great episode,
Good luck in all your players. In the final words before we get
out of here this evening, keepthe points the home dog. The Rebels

(34:27):
get back on track this week, knock off LSU. LSU's toughest two teams
they played so far at Florida Stateand Arkansas. They gave up forty five
and thirty one points to them.I think Ole Miss gets back on track
this week and we see the offensemoving a little bit better than they did
with that ten points against Alabama.I like it, I like the approach,
I respect it, but they're notgetting any more of my money.

(34:49):
I'm so so mad at myself fora still place in that wage or even
though I knew, I'm like, they are not winning this game. They're
just not going to. And Ithought for sure that maybe they would come
around that mark and cover the number, make it a little bit more interesting.
But that was a one sided affair. Lane not his best showing as
far as play calling is concerned. So hopefully for our sake, they get

(35:12):
back on the bull and go fora ride this weekend and come away with
that dub like to see it,especially over LSU who squeaked out that Wick
victory last weekend over Arkansas. Allright for Ryan Coyle, I am Sean
