even Thursday night's got some potential aswell. A good evening, sir.
Yeah, this is the weekend sewnother than you know, week zero,
week one officially getting kicked off.This is the one I've had highlighted on

my calendar dating back to the offseason. And now we even got a few
more games where a few teams areout there surprising, and we got even
a few more ranked, ranked matchups. But Florida State Clemson, that was
really the big game of the week. Clemson's kind of sputtered out of the
gate. They're actually not even rankedthis week, which is weird to see.
But then you got the big NotreDame Ohio State game as well,
So some huge brands this week,some of the biggest brands in college football

swearing off, and we're going tofind out what direction I think some of
these teams are going, whether they'regoing to be pretenders or whether they're going
to be legit playoff threats down theline. Not only is Clemson not ranked,
they're not favored at home against FloridaState, and the look aheadline from
the summer at Clemson favored by twoand a half Flip the script. Here
we are on a Saturday, kickingthings off at noon with that huge ACC

matchup, and Florida State is atwo and a half point favorite on the
road at Clemson. It's been along time since Florida State was favored favored
at at Clemson. Ryan, let'sgo ahead and just real quick your thoughts
from last week. A few gamesthat maybe stood out to you that we
discussed, you know, leading intowe put so much work and effort into
trying to find the edge and hopefullya winner or two. I know you

did as well last week. Menot so much in the early part,
but in the end of the evening, I feel like I couldn't miss.
Let's go ahead and start with Floridaand Tennessee. Florida too many points at
home. They were by far thebetter squad. Really tough for Tennessee to
go in there and come away witha dub. Yeah, that was a
big game with the trends, orit was since two thousand and three Tennessee

hadn't gone to the swamp and oneand sixteen out of the past eighteen Tennessee
had won themselves out a right orexcuse me, Florida had won sixteen out
of those past eighteen in that rivalry. So trends were certainly on Florida side
and that one, and they tookadvantage of that, and I think they
might have built some of what ofan identity for themselves. Graham Martz isn't
going to be the quarterback that goesout there and throws for three hundred yards

and lights it up like some ofthese Pac twelve guys have been, but
up front at the line of scrimmageand in the running game, they showed
that they could push Tennessee around,and they made Tennessee looks off. They
ran all over them. They shutdown that passing attack, and now they
kind of got some hope I thinkgoing for the rest of the season,
because that's what we talk about lastweek. You go out there, you
dominate Tennessee, you win that game. You want to know an SEC play.
No one cares about that Utah gameanymore. And now you got full

steam ahead, everything going in theright direction confidence wise. Let's go make
some plays now in the SEC Eastwhere they have a shot to kind of
be that next team I think behindGeorgia. And we saw Georgia two last
week not looking like they're they're dominantself. I was all over South Carolina
plus twenty seven and a half andthey struck some real fear into Georgia's eyes

going into the fourth quarter. Sothe the SEC East I think is wide
open. Behind Georgia, they're stillobviously the top dog, but there's room
now for Florida to kind of getback there. And what was after week
one looking like a potential loss seasonand Billy Napier already being written off,
now they got a full seam aheadmomentum going. So that was the I
think the biggest overall win of theweekend. We'll talk more about Utah and

that home field avantage that they possessed, because it was really tough to ask
Florida to go up there and winWeek one I did. Didn't happen.
We got a re visit that ofcourse, UCLA in Utah. Other items
from a Saturday last weekend and allthings college football. Sixty one yard walk
off. If I'm not mistaken,Missouri over Kansas State. That was exciting.

Penn State though, let me getyour thoughts on Penn State holding it
down against Illinois. I didn't thinkAller played all that well defensively, they
stepped up in a big way.If Penn State's able to bring that type
of defense with the potential that theypossess an offense, they very well could
win the Big Ten. Yeah,that's what we talked about last week as
well. Sean. I think goinginto it, my big concern or not

even concern, but what I wantedto see was Howes drew Aller or face
off on the road, his firsttrue road start as a Big Ten quarterback.
You know, Illinois wants to kindof slow it down and muck it
up and make it an ugly game, and they did just that. He
only went sixteen of thirty three fortwo hundred eight yards. But the big
thing was he didn't throw any interceptions, he didn't turn the football over.

They had two rushing touchdowns from therunning backs. They had forced Luke Altmeyer
into four interset he eventually got benchedfor John Paddock later on in the game.
So that defense is legit. Andthat's the thing I like most about
this Penn State team. They canwin either way, and last week's just
another way of showing it. Wesaw them. I know it was only
against Delaware, but went out andput up sixty three points. They went

up and put thirty one points upagainst the West Virginia team that held Pit
last week to only six points.So they can go out there and they
can put up some points, orthey can win games where if the offense
and the passing game isn't clicking,that defense and the running game is good
enough to withstand some of these uglygames. And I think that's what they're
going to kind of be in storefor this week as well, with an
Eyewa team that, as we know, doesn't exactly light up the offensive scoreboard

out there, but they are goingto win games with the beef up runt
at the line of scrimmage and getsome defensive plays as well. So this
is another good test for Drew Aller, and we talked about this last week
a little bit. You win this, you get past this, you're going
to be six and oh heading intothe Ohio State game with Northwestern UMass up
next. So another good test forhim, and I do want to see

a little bit more out of himin the passing game. If they can
eventually go and beat o Highest State, they're gonna need to be able to
throw the ball around a little bit. Beef up front, Ryan Cole thirty

From the podcast perspective, all right, we're gonna mix the two because
the biggest story in college football is, of course Colorado and Dion. Last

week, I struggle, Ryan,I said it on air all throughout the
course of the week on a dailyticket. I look at Colorado from a
gambling lens. I love it,Don't get me wrong, dude, I
was a big time Dion fan growingup. Of course I had the bandana
even I think there was one yearwhere he played for the forty nine ers
and he rocked a headband. Thinkabout this at Nike headband around the neck.

I'm pretty sure if you go backin time look at some of those
pictures, you might see that maybethat I was rocking at a practice,
never in a game, but atpractice. But bottom mine is this huge
fan of Dion and everything it bringsto the table. Shador is unbelievable.
I look at it from a gamblinglens. There are twenty four point favorites
against the team that they said theywere taking it personnel. They barely squeaked

out that win. I know it'sexciting, and watch out if Deon stays
and he continues to get the recruitsand he's adding Warren Sapp to the coaching
step next year, It's going tocontinue to be a story. But when
it comes down to it, theycame up small. Your thoughts on last
week against Colorado State and then let'shit the fast forward button? Fourteen points

spread two weeks leading up to thisgame now twenty one Travis Hunter out.
You know how big of a rolehe plays on both sides Oregon minus twenty
one at home. Your thoughts onthat game? First things? First,
though last week and versus Colorado State. I'm just amazed at the way that
Dion and Colorado have been able tojust take over at the country. Just

listening to other podcasts, like there'sone I was listening to they said They're
at A guy was at a parkin Boston and he heard two moms talking
about Deon Sanders and Colorado. Andthen I was at I was at the
bar last week and everyone was gluedto the TV for Colorado Colorado State like
it was the Super Bowl. Likeif you said that twelve months ago,

or even six weeks ago, Iwould have looked at you like you had
ten aheads. No one would havecared about that game. But it's just
crazy how they've really taken over theentire sport and just really have become must
watch TV. They're going to bemust watch TV again on Saturday. But
I think there is a little bitof the wheels starting to fall off with
this team. They got the hypetrain going, they had the momentum at

the beginning, but the issues thateveryone talked about throughout the off season I
think are going to slowly start tocome to fruition. We're already seeing with
Travis Hunter, this team just doesn'thave the depth and the guys talent wise
to just make a run at thisthing. You're gonna lose guys throughout the
season. They don't really have peopleto fill in right now. That's what
you're saying, though. He Deon'sgonna get the guys, gonna get the

recruits. All this publicity, whywouldn't you want to go and playing Boulder
right now? And that that stadium, the atmosphere looks sick to be a
part of. But those guys aren'tgoing to be able to help you this
year. And I think that's theproblem with this Colorado team. Why at
the end of the day, they'llprobably be i'd say a seven and five
team by the end of it.And I think we start to see them
kind of get mismatched a little bitbecause the rest of their schedule in the

Pac twelve is going to be tough. Back to back week's Organ USC,
I just think Organ is much moretalented from top to bottom. And when
you look offense wise, this wasthe stat that really stuck out to me
the most. This Organ team's averagingfive hundred eighty seven yards per game on
offense, three hundred and fifty seventhrough the air in two hundred twenty nine
on the ground, So talk aboutbalance with this team, they can hurt

you on the ground. Bo Nickshas more experienced than basically any other quarterback
in college football. He can goout there and beat you with his arm.
Colorado's only averaging four injury or they'reexcuse me. They're averaging four injur
eighteen passing yards per game, butonly sixty one rushing yards per game.
This is a completely one dimensional team, and organ is going to be so
much better up front in the lineof scrimmage. They're able to just shut
down that running game, make makethem completely one dimensional where Shador has to

go out there and throw for fivehundred yards just have a shot in this
one. It's going to be along day. So I think this is
the first time we really see Coloradosare at a disadvantage and the mismatches start
to come into fruition. But westart we started to see that last week
against Colorado State. Thing's only goingto get worse from here, but they're
going to be tough. They're goingto fight, and Dionne has showed that

he can coach these guys up withthe best of them, so never rule
them out. Twenty and a halfstill a big number, and we saw
the last time they were twenty anda half point dogs. But I'm not
feeling comfortable, comfortable and confident enoughto say that they have a chance to
win this football game. All right. Follow up, of course, we
gotta come with the almighty equalizer.Let's just call it twenty one. I
know DraftKings had a flash at twentyone for pretty much the course the full

course of the day here today aswe're recording this. And second, I
want to ask you the difference inthe spread that Travis Hunter makes right like
going into this game, as Isaid last week, up into Saturday afternoon
before the game kicked off. Gamewent off at ten o'clock. Oh,
by the way, most stream gameand ESPN history top five ever on television.

It was a ten o'clock game betweenColorado and Colorado State. That's just
madness. But Mountain West team toColorado win four games last year. I
don't think they did our Colorado Yeah, yeah, maybe one and eleven,
two and ten. It's crazy anyways, So Travis Hunter does he move the

line that much? Or is thisa matter of Oregon looked impressive last week
and all three weeks at they're threeand zero and bo nix and they're throwing
up crooked numbers. I know it'sgonna be tough. As you said,
they'll fight, though, I believeDion has enough talent on that squad.
I'll tell you right now, TravisHunter was there, and you're giving me
twenty one. I'm taking twenty oneall day fourteen. I'm thinking twice about

it. I'm actually looking at theteam total from Oregon's perspective. I do
believe they throw up points, asyou said, with the defense all that
on Colorado not being all that muchthere, I think they're gonna I think
Colorado's walking into a buzz saw,as they say. But Travis Hunter,
know what type of difference does hemake to the point spread? And as
far as what we're talking about withyou know, Colorado and Oregon and the

fourteen point spread, would that bea difference in your mind? I think
if Shador was out instead of TravisHunter, it makes a much bigger difference
than the spread because he's the guythat's touching the ball every play. Travis,
he plays both ways. That's obviouslya very welcome asset for a team
that is lacking playmakers on both sides. But I but he can only make

so much of an impact. He'sa corner. It's not like he's dropping
back to throw every play, sohe has somewhat of a limited role.
I think in this spread, Ithink it would probably been, you know,
maybe a two and a half threepoint line move with that. But
I think they saw what we sawwhere they're not as good as advertised,
certainly to the public. And Ithink this is going to be a year
where very Vegas is going to berooting against in Colorado every game because it

feels like everyone's just gonna be ontheir side trying to take him. Like
you you bet. There's going tobe a lot of tickets this week on
Colorado money Line because people are like, oh, you can't. You can't
be a twenty and a half,twenty one point dog in this in this
spot. They got this, wecan we can make rich money off of
this. There's gonna be a lotof money on Colorado all week. But
I that's ships sailed. That shipis sailed. That was there for for

Nebraska, that was there for TCU, and they got lucky against TCU,
but hey, look they came outon top. That ship is sailed.
They're not going in to Oregon comingaway with the victory outright. Yeah,
it's just I think that the talentdiscrepancy is going to start catching up to
them, but it's it's still gonnabe a fun product and damn well,
you know we'll be there watching it. So until proven otherwise, and unless

Shador Sanders comes off the field,I think they're going to be in every
game and have a shot. He'sthat good and he can elevate the guys
around him. But it's gonna befun to watch him go head to head
with Bonnicks and Caleb Williams and see, really, is he that Jake,
Because if he is, he canplay himself right up there, I think
to that quarterback two spot behind KaylebWilliams. In the long run. Yeah,

well, we're going to see alot that just molds and takes shape
over the next two to three weeks. In college football, as always,
the saying is it works a cellphone. Right. We know that with
the College Football playoff for the fourspots next year might be a little bit
more difficult with the twelve, butbottom line is the heisman all these awards,
they work themselves out and contended versuspretender. I give all the credit

in the world. It's been agreat start to this Dion situation in Colorado.
One question I want to ask youis how long does he stay there.
I'm not trying to pour cold wateron this, but we gotta be
honest with this. It's a dogeat dog world. The almighty dollar controls
all. I know he's doing wellin Colorado, but he can do better

off in other spots. We allknow that we're no dummies, and he's
like Taylor Swift. The economy thathe's brought or the the you know,
the spike in economy that he hasbrought to Boulder, It's documented, it's
out there. So my point is, what if I don't know, gains
Well calls or Texas A and Mwho spend all that money on Jimbo Fisher.

What if it's not his season,or what if they get rid of
him at the end of this year, which could very well take place places
with big pockets. What if theycalled don this offseason? What does he
say? Well, I just wantto say too. At the beginning of

saying that potentially the Falcons or something. But they're off to a two and
our start as well. But backto the year, what was the original

pain you down. It's twenty onepoint spread. Which way you going?
I'm thinking I'm taking Colorado with thespread. I'm taking Colorado with the spread.
But I do like the the over. I think Organ's going to go

half right now, I believe,But I do think Colorado puts enough fight
them, and Dion's not going tolet them go over there and get rolled.

So I like them to potentially havelike a back toward cover situation.
But I am expecting a lot ofpoints in this one. Throw the ball

Because the one play that I'm lookingup the most is is because I gotta

did the first two weeks. Ijust think these numbers have been outrageous in

the market was completely wrong, orthe odsmakers were completely wrong, and all
things Colorado leading up to it.To your point, though, as you

we've definitely spent three quarters on tothe end. But I do want to

I'm talking about Ole Miss. Yes, I said this Ole Miss will be
either Alabama or Georgia this year.Said it to him two weeks ago.
As we sit here right now againstAlabama, Milton back in the starting quarterback
position. But it felt a lotmore confident of Nick Saban tried to roll

one of those two bums that hehad playing quarterback from last week. I
definitely would stick to my guns onthis. I don't know if Alabama will
lose the Old Miss because of thespot that they're in the way that Alabama
has played as of late, butI do feel comfortable saying I'll take the
seven. It's now down to sixand a half. Let's just go ahead
and say seven points spread right nowOld Miss versus Alabama game being played in

go into Tuscaloosa and win this game, don't bet this game. Don't bet

said they still have Georgia on theschedule, but that's on the East so
that doesn't matter for them. They'regoing to have They're in the driver's seat,
they're they're leading the pack to goto the SEC title game. I'd

have a chance to win both ofthese games instead of just taking them straight

but with Pennex and Bownecks and CalebWilliams, they're gonna be up there.

right up there in the conversation.So I'm not saying exactly ole Miss is
going to win both these games,but if you have any merit, any
decision of thinking that they might,I'd go and sprinkle on those instead,
because if they take care of businessthese next two weeks, they're in the
driver's seat going forward. But justgoing back to this game itself, I

do think ole Miss puts up afight. It's kind of a question mark
what's going on in TuS closer rightnow. But Nick Saban's only lost nine
games. He's one hundred and threeand nine in his career in a seventeen
year career at Alabama just lost theirlast home game. You can't really predict
him to lose back to back homegames. I know what happened with Texas.
They didn't look great and then theycertainly didn't look great last week.

In South Florida. But still it'sone of those things, Nick Sabans still
on the sideline, you can't fadethem to that extent. So I do
like Old Miss to go in thereand put up a fight in this one.
If we're just taking the spread here, I do like them to cover
that. But Alabama at home,I'm just not going to take them to
lose this football game. But goingback to that Old Miss thing, I

do think they have a legit chanceto pull off these upsets. But I
