Goodenbird here with Beyond the News.King Charles the Third is going to be
crowned coronated in the UK this weekendand there are some people on this side
of the pond who are going tobe observing and entertaining themselves during the coronation
as well. David Palamidi is amanager at the pub Tampa that is going

(00:20):
to be opening early on Saturday forpeople who want to be together in part
of a crowd during the coronation.David Palamidi, thank you very much for
joining us on Beyond the News.My pleasure. So tell us what your
establishment is doing on Saturday for thecoronation. Okay, so what we're gonna
do. We're gonna open up earlierat six o'clock in the morning. We

(00:43):
are going to start our brunch anhour early at nine, but we're going
to start off with complimentary scones andhave price on our British breakfasts as well
as tea service and Royal drink specials. It sounds like something that will work
for that time of the hour orthe time of the day, I should
say. I assume you're going tohave the goings on in London up on

(01:04):
big screens. Absolutely, all right, So are you allowed? Are you
able to serve alcohol at that hour? I know it's it's kind of early,
so that that might be an issue. At seven o'clock you can actually
start serving alcohol in the state ofFlorida right now? Are what kind of
interest have you seen? Are areyou expecting a big crowd? Are you

(01:25):
taking reservations? We're not taking reservations. We've had phone calls and there seems
to be people who are very interestedin joining us that day and definitely having
being part of the coordination here onthis side of the pond. Now,
how would you say things break downin terms of interest? And this may
be an extension of how your customerbase breaks down. I don't know you

(01:47):
Are you tending to see more UKexpatriots or maybe people from other parts of
the Commonwealth nations versus Americans who arejust fans of royalty. It seems to
be a kind of a mix ofboth a lot of interest both from the
UK residents that are here as wellas the US residents that are here.

(02:10):
All right, anything else that wewould like to know or you would like
people to know about the event thatyou're going to be involved in on Saturday.
We just want everybody to come onin, enjoy, have a great
time, wear your fancy hats, and be prepared to be served with some
of the British cuisine that we servehere on this side that you know is

(02:31):
part of the pub culture. Now. That's interesting because you mentioned people who
might be wearing hats, and Iguess that's that's sort of a thing having
to do with these sorts of events. Absolutely all right. Well, David
Paulamedi with the Pub Tampa, thankyou very much for joining us on beyond
the news. I appreciate it.You have a good day now,
