(00:03):
In its earliest days, the majorfunction of radio was news. Going on
here, beautiful, let everybody go. Why don't you put on a show
and charge it mission? Okay,so I would say something, wouldn't use
(00:26):
it? And comedy. Now you'retalking. It will be a show for
everyone who loves music and murder.Come on, Chuck, we got it
a show to dude, showtime. Are you ready? I'm ready to get
your job. Wow, what afantastic when yesterday I just wanted to see
(00:51):
what that felt like, and thereit felt pretty awesome. It's never gonna
do it. That was, butas ugly that we got stomped by the
Dolphins, just stomped. I wasat that game, and the only thing
that made it worthwhile. There's acouple of things that made it worthwhile,
but one of them was just peoplewatching Miami Dolphin fans who took over half
(01:15):
the stadium. They've got some flair. How's that flair? And you know,
half of them look like they're carryinga brief briefcase full of cocaine and
the other half looked like a gettingready to go to a nightclub. But
you got to give it up forthem, man. They get into their
(01:36):
they get into their team, theyget they get some spirit. But yeah,
that was Uglyan sent me highlights fromthe game last night and I haven't
listened to the to them picked whathighlights. Yeah, it was ugly.
It was ugly. Tyreek Hill isjust ungodly fast and uh watching him just
(01:57):
burn people on that first reception forthe touchdown was their very first touchdown.
He caught the ball and when hewent into his next gear, it was
like, WHOA, so fast, just leaves everybody behind him. It's kind
of player you want, man, that's disgustingly good. The Eagles got spanked
(02:21):
last night by the forty nine Ersthat I think a lot of people thought
that was going to be a prettyclose game. It was going to be
quite the battle, but no,Eagles did not play well and the forty
nine ers just spanked him. Andthat is definitely turning into quite the rivalry.
As there was about six or sevenfights on the field last night.
A couple of people got ejected, had a security for the Eagles got ejected.
One of the forty nine ers playersgot ejected, getting each other's faces
(02:45):
on the sideline. It was prettyintense. I under stood up for about
half of it, and then Iwas like, yeah, I'm gonna go
to bed. But I knew itwasn't gonna be pretty when I woke up
this morning. So you know, football kind of sucked yesterday unless your team.
You got a team that won yesterday, good for you. Coming up
this morning, we're gonna have sometransit Perian Orchestra tickets to give away for
(03:07):
the show Capitol One. That's onthe fourteenth of December, so not too
far off here VIP table for overtimeLive with cochron Rivera. That's Tomorrow Night
brought you by fog Enigma, andthat's at d C Stakes, DC Prime
Stakes and Lobsters. And then wehave Frampton tickets to get away. Frampton's
still live guess so yep, Ilove it. I think the name of
(03:29):
his tour is like the never EverSay Never Tour, which I love is
awesome. He's gonna be at theHaul at Live on March tenth. And
then for the big Word of theWeek, we'll have a new letter for
you. New word we started thisweek at seven thirty and that's gonna be
your chance to win Stevie Nicks ticketsat the end of this week. All
right, coming up on the showthis morning, we'll chat with London Fletcher.
I'm sure he's in great spirits thismorning. We'll find out about eight
(03:51):
o'clock. And I could sense andhear the frustration in his voice even postgame
last night, he was down inthe locker room with Julie. I was
like, you could hear he wasjust and some of the play calling towards
the end of the game. Idon't think I've heard him that. I
don't think i've heard him make hisdisappointment that evident in the past, but
(04:12):
he did yesterday six fifteen. Willtake care of some quick business here.
We're back to it in just afew It's a big one hundred good morning.
This is Big Rock in the Morningwith Jackson on Washington's Classic Rock.
Big one hundred Washington's Classic Rock. It's a big one hundred honest question.
(04:33):
And I'm saying this is a MotleyCrue fan. I like Motley Crue.
We bought all the records, convincedNeil really sang, I mean Kenny really
sing. No, I didn't thinkso. Don't don't get me wrong.
I'm still a fan. I lovethe songs, love Motley Crue. When
I was younger, I was ahuge Motley Crue fan. But sometimes I
(04:57):
listen and go Evince, he's notNo, it's not a great singer.
No, but it works. Andthat's the magic of Motley Crue. I
guess it doesn't matter. It justworks. And I still get into their
songs. I still sing them.I still like listening to them. But
their show back in the day, back in their prime, yeah, was
(05:17):
great, Oh fantastic. I sawthem when they did the tour with Ozzy
and that was Oh that was shotat the Devil. That was amazing.
Yeah. See, I mean, how you know, Well, I guess
then back then Motley Crue wasn't quiteas huge. But it's like seeing Motley
Crue and Ozzy in the same show. I was flipping awesome. And a
(05:38):
lot of crazy stuff that happened onthat tour back when they were in their
partying primes. Hey, if youput up your Christmas tree yesterday, you
did it the right way. Accordingto tradition. I didn't even know there
was such a thing until this morning. There's a tradition Sunday was the start
(05:58):
of the Advent, and I justthought it was the reason to eat those
little chocolates. And my dad sendsme an Advent calendar that's got little shots
of booze in it. No howhard it is to wait till the next
day, you just have that much. Yeah, I mean, I'm like,
you know what, let's just wipeit out now and just call it
a day. Yeah right, Actually, that's a great idea he should send
(06:20):
me, Like twelve of those Sundaywas the start of the Advent. You're
supposed to take it down on Januarysixth, that is, if you follow
the tradition when you put up yourChristmas tree. Some people do it around
December first. I've even seen, although i'd call him fake, I've even
seen the Advent calendars that just starton the first. They just do it
(06:42):
on the first, and they runright up until Christmas Eve. But those
aren't real. And I've always beenone to wait till the last minute,
like mostly because I think we alwaysdo a real tree every year, and
I'm just like, I don't wantthat thing drying out and burning my house
down. We had a neighbor's housethat burned down because Christmas tree freak yu
out. So I'm like, alwaysjust wait till the last minute. Keep
this thing alive. But Sunday wasIndeed, the first day of the Advent
(07:05):
is in the Advent calendars. It'san old religious thing, and apparently it
varies every year. I didn't knowthis either, but the traditional Advent varies
every year. It always starts fourSundays before Christmas, so that could be
anywhere between the twenty seventh and Novemberand December third. Per tradition, it's
(07:27):
when you're supposed to open the firstdoor of your Advent calendar, but also
when you're supposed to put up yourChristmas tree. Put yours up? Yet?
I got it? Yes, Soit's oh, you know what I
did. I saw a picture ofyou with your tree. Here was my
first thought. Actually I saw that. I see that this morning. I
can't remember you posted it somewhere right, Yeah, that was you, Okay.
(07:48):
I was like, dide your treeshort. You went with a short
tree. It's a shorter Yeah.I do that too. I don't know
why I like them better. Ithink they look cooler. So I always
go like, I don't know, like my height or you know, maybe
a little taller than me. Ijust think they look better in the in
the room. My kids always like, I love the biggest one they got.
(08:11):
Dude, the ceiling is only sohot, man, the bigger,
like I found, the bigger itis, the more cluttered it looks.
Yah, it doesn't look good right. Well, yesterday it was a it
was kind of a spontaneous purchase becausewe had planned on getting next weekend.
Yeah, we were out for awalk and we went by one of those
lots. I'm like, oh solike checking out, and then ended up
(08:33):
getting it and then I had tocarry it home for like two miles.
Yes, that's eventage to getting asmaller one. Hurt. Yeah, all
over today the advantage of getting asmaller one I have. You know,
I guess it's in the new Ilive in an old house, but in
the newer construction. You know howthey have those like where the living room
has the huge like you know, vaultage. They go up like twenty thirty
(08:54):
feet. You see that in alot of new construction, and then like
the stairs go up and kind ofwrap around that main room into the bad
So you know, plenty of friendsthat have newer construction and those kind of
houses they can put a flip andtwenty five foot tree in their house and
I'm like, yeah, a whyand how do you get it? That's
a pain in the ass. Yeah, and they need a ladder to decorate
(09:15):
it. And it's just like,ah, yeah, I don't think it's
worth it. It's a lot ofwork, a lot of work. My
tree is like it's standing and it'sjust there. Bear yeah, And I
don't know when we're gonna get aroundthe decoration. You do the white lights
or colored lights? Color lights?Yeah, used to be. I used
to have like a color coordinated tree, like a long time ago, like
(09:37):
all the lights were coordinated. Andthen a few years ago we are like,
let's just throw as much color andtaxic I like color, yeah,
and it looks so much better. You get those people that want like the
perfect Pinterest Instagram tree, you knowthey do. They're like perfect decorations and
only white lights. And I'm likenow, and I like blinking too.
(09:58):
I don't care if, I don'tcare if we get seizures when they walk
in my house. I want theblinking lights. And my lights are all
different sizes. And I love whenyou shut off all the lights and you're
watching TV and it's blinking. Ilove my wife hates the blinking lights,
so we compromise and we have lightsthat can go back and you can make
(10:18):
them solid or you can make themblink. So when she's not around,
I make them blink. She doesn'tlike the I love it. I love
it. I think it was alwaysmy favorite part of the Christmas tree wave
lit up and blinked all over theplace with tons of color and crappy ornaments
like that you've collected through the years. That's the way it should be,
every ornament with a story. Andmy grandma used to to have a string
(10:41):
popcorn. I remember doing that.I remember doing that as a kid.
We used to do that at schoollike we would when we decorated the tree
in school. String popcorn. Anduh. The only reason I remember that
is because she would give us,like, you know, needle and thread
and that's how you would do it, and it would string the popcorn.
And I was always jabbing my fingerwith a needle when I was like eight
(11:01):
years old. Oh, I don'twant to do this anymore. It is
six thirty eight and coming up thingsI know just around the corner. Plus
we'll clue you in on how youcan win some tickets. Tons of them
today TSO at cap One. That'smid December fourteenth. VIP table to join
us tomorrow with coach Ron Overtime Liveand Frampton tickets to give away, plus
(11:26):
Big Word of the Week. We'regonna have Stevie Nicks tickets, but that's
not until the end of the week. So we give you your first letter
today at about seven thirty. Itis six thirty eight. Good morning,
Washington's Classic Crocket. It's a bigone hundred. It's Foreigner, so big
rock Morning's Jackson here and thanks forlistening to appreciate it. You know,
it's always something, it's always somethingwith this Can we just blow this season
(11:48):
up and start over? But Iguess that's kind of what they're doing with
the Commanders. I guess that's kindof since April it's been let's blow it
up and start over. There needsto be more blowing up. Yeah,
a lot, Yeah, blowing upbe I mean it's did you see the
fire alarms went off at stadium lastnight? Why why did they go off?
(12:09):
I don't know why did they gooff anywhere where? It's like,
you know, because because it's FedEx, because it's the Commanders and the last
game because yeah, no, howthey couldn't shower last time. Watching some
of the postgame interviews, why andthey're telling people to evacuate the building,
It's like, what the hell's butyou know, it's just part for the
(12:30):
course, part for the course. It has been an awful here, awful
blow it up. I would notbe surprised if Rivera got fired today.
Now they may wait till the endof the season. And here's the thing.
I like Ron I really do.I think he's a great coach.
He's just not working right now,you know what I mean, It's just
(12:54):
not working. And so I thinkit's we've all come to the conclusion that
he's definitely gone at the end ofthe year. So at this point,
you know, I put money onthe fact he'd probably consider it a blessing.
Yeah, in the back of hishead, he's not going to say
that, but in the back ofhis head, you know, if he
knows he's going at the end ofthe season, don't you think he just
let me go on? I don'twant do I have to ride this out?
(13:16):
Because you know, look at therest of the schedule, the Rams,
forty nine, Ers, Dallas, you know, Jets, he looks
tortured. Oh yeah, man,he's just you know, looks miserable.
Look. And you know, Iwas talking to a buddy yesterday about it,
and we were discussing the fact thatevery city goes through this. This
is not unique to you know,Washington commanders. This is every city has
(13:39):
years where they suck bad and youknow, you fix it and you move
forward. So this is nothing different. It's the NFL. It just sucks
when you're in that period. AndI gotta think, man, I mean,
make the fans make it look likeyou're doing something. You know,
(14:01):
they did that with the del Rio. And I don't know, man,
I really don't know. I don'tknow. I don't know what the answer
is. I know that the season'sgone. They're gonna have a losing season.
There's no way they can have, you know, big time. Yeah,
and in the it's a gauntlet finishingout the season here. So it's
just like, man, maybe it'sjust time. I don't I don't know.
(14:24):
I don't know. Maybe I'll askhim tomorrow night if you could go,
now, would you because I wouldthat's that's that's gonna be awkward.
Tomorrow I would go. I absolutelywould be like, yeah, man,
I mean I wouldn't say that publicly, but absolutely in the back of my
head, I'd be like, oh, just let me go. Let the
(14:46):
enemy take this thing over, youknow. And plus then the enemy gets
kind of an audition for the lastyou know, handful of games to see
what he can do. You know, I don't know. It's not pretty.
It is time for things. Iknow, it's six point fifty four.
I'm big one hundred and I can'tget over. Oh ps, little
(15:09):
heads up. Forever stamps are goingto jump in price that might fall under
things. I know, from sixtythree cents to sixty six cents. It'll
be the second price jump this yearand the fifth since twenty nineteen. So
if you're going to buy those foreverstamps, you should buy them ahead of
time so that they don't but theythat's hence the name forever. Whatever price
you buy them at, they're goodforever. When was the last time you
(15:31):
used a stamp? I actually justrecently, Yeah, yeah, because and
I was ticked off because I didn'thave any laying around the house and I
was scrambling I couldn't find stamps.I finally found some stash somewhere. It's
always when you need them that youcan't find them, but you very rarely
use them, right, but occasionallyI have male stuff. Yeah, I
don't remember the last time that Iand have used the stamp on my computer.
(15:56):
Dude, it just crashed. Ijust lost my things, I know.
Well, let me see if Ihad an alternate source. I just
had them all out laid out forme in front of front of me to
give them to you, and thenit just the program just crashed. This
is I'm like, i'mlike the commandersthis year. I just can't get anything
(16:19):
work. And it is a Mondaymorning. All right, let me see
if I can find this alternate source. Because I had some good stuff for
you today too. I love learning. Yeah, you know it just here.
Look, it just crashed. Sinceyou're on stamps, did you know
that the weight limit of a smallUS Postal Service flat rate box is seventy
(16:40):
pounds. Seventy pounds. I didread that this morning. That was one
of the things I was going totalk about. And well, here you
do, you have something pulled upover there. I do. I'm just
gonna let you take it. Yes, seventy pounds and it was they say
that you cannot go over seventy pounds. You could take the heaviest substance on
Earth and put it in one ofthose flat right boxes and it still wouldn't
reach seventy pounces. That's what theysay. You can take that box and
(17:03):
mail anything you want and never haveto worry about Wade and Osmium is the
dentist. I saw that, andI was like, what is osmiam Call
me stupid, but I have noidea what osmim It is? Okay,
good, but I know it's thedentist material owner. What else you got
there? All right? So theword care you can care package? Yeah,
that was originally an acronym for cooperativefor assistance and relief everywhere, and
(17:27):
it was an organization called Tailer thatstarted back in nineteen forty five. That's
why we use the term care package, all right? What else? I
kind of like this, so I'mjust gonna sit back and listen. All
right? So JFK Lee, HarveyOswald, and Jack Ruby all died in
the same hospital. Get out reallythe memorial in Dallas because JFK died when
(17:48):
Oswald shot him, Oswald died whenRuby shot him, and then Ruby died
of lung cancer in the same hospital, the same hospital, not at the
same time. It's good good anymore. And the Cowardly Lion and the Wizard
of Oz. That costume was madeout of real lion. I did see
that, and that had me like, you know, almost going into the
(18:12):
rabbit down the rabbit hole. Thismorning, I was like, what was
it really? And I'm like, stop, I gotta go to work.
I'm going to sit here on mycouch and start digging into the costumes of
the Wizard of Oz because that's whatI do. Yeah, made out of
like it was it real life, like a real lion skin. Interesting,
That's cool. That doesn't seem likethat would be uh, it seems like
(18:33):
that would smell bad. It alsoseems like that in this day and age,
while that was a long time,Yeah, would probably be pretty illegal,
frowned upon. If you've skinned thelion word as a coat. Yeah,
I mean, if you're down with, oh I found some more.
If you're down with, like, you know, Peter running by and throwing
fake blood all over you. Right, Peaches and nectarines are my program came
(18:55):
back up. Peaches and Nectarines arethe exact same fruit. I did not
know this until this morning. Nectarinesjust have a recessive gene that keeps them
from being fuzzy, but they areidentical. How about that if minimum wage
would have grown at the same rateas Wall Street bonuses. As you throw
on your work boots this morning andhead out the door for you know,
(19:18):
ten hour day, think about this. Had minimum wage grown at the same
rate the bonuses they give on WallStreet, it'd be thirty three bucks an
hour today. Wow, thirty threebucks an hour. All right, Well,
that's things I know and some thingscrash new And it is six fifty
(19:41):
nine, coming up seven to thirtynew letter. It'll be the first letter
of the week for the big wordof the week and your chance to win
Stevie Nicks tickets, plus going togive you a chance at Trans Siberian Orchestra
tickets. Tis the season that showto cap one on the fourteenth of December,
And as we were talking about earlier, we will have a VIP table
for four with one hundred bucks ona gift card that you can actually use
(20:03):
tomorrow night at DC Prime Stakes andLobsters for overtime Live with Coach run RIVERA
brought to you by fog Enigma. So that's all coming up. It is
Big one hundred, Good Morning,Washington's Classic Crockets, Big one Hundred's Guns
and Roses Patients seven twelve Good Morning. So Kiss played their final show.
I think for real this time.I think this is it. And because
(20:26):
the video they played at the endof the Holograms, I think we're right
about them letting Kiss live on forever, whether it's having actors up on stage
pretending to be Kiss or Holograms.I mean, you know, Kiss is
not going to go away anytime soon. But I think that probably was their
last show. I know they've beensaying that since two thousand and one,
(20:48):
by the way, But after theshow on Saturday night, I believe that
was at Madison Square Garden, theydid a little virtual version of the band
fake Paul Stanley said, quote yourlove, your power has made us immortal.
The new Kiss era starts now,and then they threw the avatars up
(21:11):
on this giant screen and then theyplayed God Gave Rock and Roll to You,
with Paul telling the crowd again thatthe new Kiss era starts now.
I have audio saying it. Yeah, if you want to see the video.
I put the whole thing up onmy one of my Facebook pages.
It's Jackson Radio ja XO in Radio, Facebook dot com slash ja xo in
(21:33):
radio if you want to see thevideo of the Digital Kiss. But yeah,
it sounded a little something like this. Let's listen. Our shows are
about joy. The future is soexciting you can live on. Internally,
(21:56):
the band deserves to live on becausethe band is bigger than we are.
Digital Kiss was actually created by GeorgeLucas's special effects company in conjunction with the
same people that did the Virtual Abbasshow. If you remember that well back
no word yet on any of thefake Kiss shows. But the real Paul
(22:18):
Stanley says, quote, what we'veaccomplished has been amazing, but it's not
enough Jeans Jeans over there, notenough money, right, That's what the
band deserves to live on because theband is bigger than we are. Jeans
did say, we can be foreveryoung and forever iconic by taking us to
places we've never dreamed of before. The technology is going to make Paul jump
(22:42):
higher than he's ever jumped before. And again, you can find that video
on my Facebook page. But doyou think Peter and Ace will get any
money from that. Uh no,God no, no, they got screwed,
dude, They totally got screwed. And I guarantee you the I don't
even know who's playing guitar and drumsand Kiss anymore. I gave up years
(23:03):
ago trying to figure out who itwas. Now fair, is that the
guy's name? He was in aKiss tribute band? Yeah, huh.
He's probably probably makes just as muchmoney playing and Kiss as he did in
the tribute band. Because I suspectthat they're not going to see a dime
either. That's just the way Paul. That's yeah, it's the way Paul
(23:25):
and Gene roll. But I suspectI'm not a big fan of the hologram
stuff. I gotta be honest withyou, I'm not. It just doesn't
do it for me. I hada friend that went to the Ronnie James
Deal Hologram show said it was coolfor a minute, but then it was
like, all right, this iskind of a it's kind of and where
was it they did the Tupac Hologram. I saw that one on TV.
(23:45):
That was a big festival show,I think, But there was a Ronnie
James Deal one that was touring andI was like, nah, I'm not
doing it. I'm not going tothat. I mean, why not just
watch it on TV? Yeah?Right, exactly. I don't know,
but I guess if you're a hugefan of a band, you know,
you know, follow them as longas you can, even if they're not
(24:06):
not really there. I know,I know, but you know they're not
really there when you throw on theirrecord at home, which is why I
say watch it on TV, saveyourself the time of the half. Yeah,
but you can go into an arenaand you get that there is let's
be honest, there's nothing like thatblasting like bass and drums and just how
(24:29):
it makes you feel it vibrate throughyour whole body when it's coming through speakers
that big. When you go toa concert, you're like, oh,
crood, my whole body's vibrating fromthe sound. That's hard to duplicate,
you know. So I don't know. You gotta be a big fan of
live music, I guess, eventhough it's not but it's not really live
music, right, it's a hologram, true, Or they may do the
(24:52):
you know Kiss tribute bands, Kisswill Live on it just won't be Paul
and Jean up there. It'll justbe somebody playing in gene And see,
that's what I've always said, thegiant else in the makeup. I think
eventually they will to be honest withyou. I'll see what happens. All
right, seven seventeen and good morning, do you We will take a quick
break here. Coming up just aroundthe corner, we're gonna give your letter
(25:15):
for the big Word of the week, first letter of the week. At
the end of the week, it'llspell a word and we have Stevie Nicks
tickets up for grabs this week.Right, sit tight, it's a big
one hundred. There's pink flood.Wish you were here, Washington's Classic Rocket's
Big one hundred and seven and thirtyfour. Do you ever wonder why politicians
(25:36):
vote for themselves? I was curiousabout that. You always see the you
know, I always thought it wasjust for the cameras, but apparently it
can matter on occasion. A coupleguys that were running for city council and
Rainier Washington. It's outside of Seattle, and one of the guys is like,
(25:56):
he didn't want to vote for himself. He thought it was just egotistical.
He thought up be embarrassing to votefor himself. He lost by one
vote. He lost by one votebecause he refused to vote for himself,
which I found pretty interesting because theguy he ran against did vote for himself
(26:18):
and won by one votes. Hadthey tied in the past. I remember,
this is just kind of a smallcity council seat. But in the
past when they tied, they wouldif I think there had been a tie
once before in their history, andthey flipped a coin to see who was
going. They're not gonna do itagain, just flipped a coin. He
lost two forty seven to two fortysix, and just said he felt that
(26:45):
was too narcissistic to vote for himself. But the other guy was like,
I'm voting for myself. As youalways see the cameras on the politicians,
even the presidential election, when yousee him go and drop a ballot in
the box for themselves. Again,I always thought it was just for show,
but apparently, apparently, apparently canhelp you in some of these small
(27:07):
enough Yeah. Yeah, you imaginea presidential election where it came down to
like, well, wouldn't because ofelectoral college. But no, I don't
even want to imagine that. Godknows we've got a strife and conflict in
this country with stuff surrounding elections. All right, it is time once again
to give you your letter of theday for the big word of the week,
(27:30):
your first letter of the week, and at the end of the week
it's going to spell a word. That word is going to win you Stevie
Nicks tickets. So today's letter, the big word of the week on Big
one hundred two days letter is theletter H. The letter H is in
ham, the letter H. Allright, that is your first letter of
(27:52):
the week. Five letter word bythe end of the week on a normal
work week. If it's a shortwork week, we shorten it up but
five letters this week, and atthe end of the week it'll spell a
word and will be your chance tosee Stevie Nicks at CFG on the seventeenth
of February. Right now, Ihave Trans Siberian Orchestra tickets to give away.
I'm gonna do World's Easiest trivia. Those that listen know how this works.
(28:15):
You really cannot fail. You justgot to get through on the phone
line. I say that, butthen somebody will fall flat on their face.
Eventually, it's almost happened in thepast. World's Easiest Trivia one eight
hundred four nine three one double ohthree. This is for Trans Siberian Orchestra.
Nice little Christmas show for you.Tis the season at CAP one on
(28:36):
the fourteenth of this month. Allright, one eight hundred four nine three
one double o three. Good luckfrom Big one hundred Washington's Class Crockets,
Big one hundred Free Fallen is TomPetty seven to fifty one, London Fletch.
You're going to be on the showcoming up here. I just you
will talk about that. Well, there's no other way to say it.
That absolutely embarrassing ass woman. Thecommanders took yesterday at home at FedExField,
(28:59):
by the way, that's the stadium, was taken over. Half the fans
in the stadiums they were Dolphins fans. They're characters, they're fun to people
watch. They took the place overand seeing all these people from Florida in
cold weather was absolutely hilarious. Italked to one guy. He had this
like little tiny wind breaker on,little Miami Dolphins wind breaker on, and
(29:19):
he's like, it's all I own. We don't get this kind of it's
all I have. I'm freezing, like, well, you got the win.
Shut up, You're you're You're fine. So we'll chat with London about
that game. Cone up just aftereight o'clock this morning. I spent the
(29:40):
rest of the weekend hanging out inAshbourn, hoping to meet some freaks,
but they did not present themselves. After last week's conversation about Ashbourn being the
sexiest place on planet Earth based ontheir consumption and purchasing many things from a
website that specializes in sex toys andthe like. It's a true story.
(30:03):
I'm making that up number one inlike several different categories Ashburn, Virginia.
They're freaks over there. Hey,this is why I'm a big fan of
hard copies of everything. Perfect example, this morning, I was like,
I gotta print stuff out, LikeI put everything on my laptop and then
I'll pull something up to talk aboutit, or pull up a story I
want to talk about, and thena couple of times, you know,
(30:26):
my laptop is basically crashed, notthe actual laptop but the program I'm using
all crash and close out, likeright right when you're in the middle of
something, and I'm like, man, see if you print stuff out that
doesn't happen. But I read astory this morning that if you have a
PlayStation, you know, there's allthese this content you can purchase and put
in your PlayStation library. And mykid's got a ton of stuff in his
(30:49):
so you can buy things like TVshows, you know, songs, all
video games, whatever you like. And it looks like there's been a falling
out. I wouldn't call it afalling out. Actually, Discovery recently merged
with Warner Brothers. That means asof January first, so not too long,
you will not be able to watchany of their stuff on your PlayStation
(31:11):
anymore. Even if you purchased it, it's going to disappear. It's kind
of bogus if you purchased it,though, it's going away, going away.
Some of the shows disappearing, MythBusters, Naked and Afraid, Shark,
week Cake Boss, Say yes tothe Dress. If you're paying to watch,
say yes to the dress. Youdeserve to have it disappear. Deadly
is Catch four Weddings, and there'sa ton more. So if you have
(31:37):
physical copies, this doesn't happen, but yeah, they're because of this merger.
The PlayStation is not going to beable to carry this stuff anymore.
And that's even for it. Theysay, people that purchase the stuff,
it's going to disappear. I supposeif you made a big enough stink,
you have some sort of class actiontogether people that purchased all this stuff and
now it's gone. But I guaranteeyou some were in that agreement you sign,
(32:00):
it says that somewhere in there,it says, so when you buy
digital stuff, it's not like youactually own it. I think I lost
a phone years and years ago.I was on a boat in a lake.
Let's just say my phone is atthe bottom of that lake. There
(32:22):
was no saving it. It's gone, and I lost a bunch of photos.
I had not backed them up,was not using the cloud, and
lost a ton of ton of likefamily photos, stuff like when my kid
was younger. I mean, itwas a bummer to lose all that stuff.
And then I swore after that Iwould back everything up. I've had
(32:42):
computers completely die where I've lost stuff. I'll never make that mistake again.
Did you know if you get yourcomputer too close to full. I never
paid attention to storage. I justwent about my business and did what I
had to do. And I hada MacBook one time that reached its capacity
on storage. And when they dothat done, really they never knew that
(33:04):
they crash and they're done. Yeah, nor did I. And I just
figured i'd get a warning and Iprobably did get a couple of warnings that
I blew off. You know, your disc is almost full. I lost
a phone full of pictures differently thanthan you drop in yours at the bottom
of a lake. When Apple firststarted their thing where you could sink the
new phone instead of having to putthe was it the card into the new
(33:28):
phone, you know, you knowthat thing that you can do now where
you can just oh yeah, seeyou just seek the phone. Yeah.
Well when they first did that, like the technology was new at the time
that they had just started. Somy old phone, I sinked it for
the first time. So it sinkedall the new stuff and the old pictures
that was on the old phone. It deleted everything, everything gone. Yeah,
(33:52):
And so the old phone had whatwas on the new phone, which
was nothing. And it's you know, with photos, it's tough. Really,
you just got a back that stuffup. It's the only way,
you know, keep it on thecloud or whatever cause, let me just
look here. Yeah, I havetwenty three thousand pictures on my phone,
twenty three thousand pictures. Now,obviously it's not feasible to have twenty three
(34:15):
thousand hard copies of all of thosephotos, right, So you know,
with photos, I just make surethey're backed up not once, but twice
somewhere. But like record CDs stufflike that, if I really like a
band, I buy it. Ibuy it. I go out and buy
the physical copy because I'm like, that's mine. Can't take it away.
(34:36):
Movies, DVDs, you like something, go buy it, can't take it
away. But no, if you'vegot PlayStation and you had the whole season
of MythBusters or all the seasons ofMythBusters and you paid for them, they're
gone. Now, well they're notgone yet, they're gone January first.
I wonder if there's a way youcan back those up, like meaning maybe
I wonder if they're have to lookat my hene can watch them on another
device or is it just it's aPlayStation thing. I'll go look at my
(35:00):
kids PlayStation, see how he doesit. But I bet you there to
skirt it. There might be somesort of way, like hey, these
are going away January first. Ifyou'd like to save them, since you
paid for that, you can movethem somewhere. I guess it is seven
fifty eight. We'll chat with Londoncoming up here in just a few minutes
(35:20):
plus later this morning with what havewe learned on the show today. You're
gonna have a chance for you towin Frampton tickets for show coming up in
March. More on that in justa bit. It's big one hundred Washington's
Classic Rocket. It's a big onehundred. Jimmy Hendrix and fire. It's
eight o waight, good morning onthe line with us this morning. Talk
about that shellacin yesterday is a LondonFletcher future Hall of Famer. I might
(35:44):
add London Fletcher by the way, congratulations on the nomination there, Bud.
It's gonna happen. I appreciate it, speak of it to exist it.
Yeah, it's gonna happen. Trustme, it's gonna happen. So this
wow, wow, two weeks rowwe give up forty five points. I
mean, and that was the firstgame with the rivertical on the defense.
(36:06):
So though I didn't see much difference, I don't know what are your thoughts.
I'm my mother of the mindset whileas well, you know, it's
just one thing to have the exposiveoffense. I thought we'd be more competitive,
thought the game would be you knowmore, let's call it closer.
You know, we put a muchbetter for a fight to see the exposive
(36:31):
plays and see Tarik Hill have thosetwo long touchdown passes after you know,
one of the things we ron tookover the defense. You know, the
exposive plays were the issue, andyou know, hey, we're going to
try to limit the pair of thingsdown star players or played fast and played
(36:51):
better, but then third play thegame to reco for seventy eight yards.
Yeah, oh what what has changed? Just just surprised that there were so
many opportunities for him to have oneon one situations where you would love to
see maybe a little bit more stayover the top of him on a content
(37:14):
basis like Bill Belichick used to have. Even though they may have been playing
man and man with the Patriots, they had that staatey. You know,
instead of being in the middle ofthe field, he was if greek Hill
was on the right side, hewas leading to the right. He was
over the right if he was tothe left. He leading to the left,
over the top, over the left, almost like a covered two two
(37:36):
man type of type of deal. And we really didn't do much of that.
Not that I saw in a oneon one situation. Is going to
lead the bad things. It's goingto lead the very bad thing. Yeah,
you know, first first touchdown wasyou got Kwarn who's uh, who's
a good young rookie player. That'sa tough cover to ask him to have.
(37:58):
Greek Hill, one of the bestestplayers and the National Football League,
who's a who's a you know,dynamic receiver, requires more of a hybrid,
that's what he was. And comingout of college safety, who can
play the NIKA with that's just atough cover for him. Yeah. Absolutely,
well, yeah, I mean, let's be honest, it's gonna be
a tough cover for anyone. Ithought, you know when he yeah,
(38:20):
exactly when he caught the ball onthat play and then the separation after he
caught the ball, when he whenhe went into high gear towards the end
zone, and I was just like, holy crappy fast just right, Yeah,
there's fast, there's uh, there'syou know, a lot of most
there's a lot of fast players inthe NFL that you see to reach hell,
(38:44):
jayl Wato, some of the otherguys, even Terry who has a
different level of fast. Yeah yeah, so uh yeah, I could listen
into you call the game yesterday.I could hear a few times throughout the
game where I could actually hear thedisappointment in your voice on some of the
play calling and things of that nature. Was a tough one. And then
(39:05):
because it's the Commanders and because it'sfed X, of course the fire alarms
are going to go off post gamein the locker room, right yeah.
Yeah. When that happened, Iwas just like, man, what else
can happen? Was Wash going row? So Julie, Julie and I we
were in the in the locker roomgetting ready to interview coach Rivera and the
(39:28):
fire alarm goes out, Like whatare you kidding me? But just with
with so many things that has happened, you know, at the at the
Stateum of Leyland, and then andyou know the new ownership group there,
they're they're working their their tails off. Yeah, and Trista Langdon, who
runs the stadium, he's working herher tail off, working you know,
(39:49):
uh seems like probably sixteen hours aday just getting everything, trying to get
the stadium to be you know asas best, uh best and experienced as
possible. Yeah. So, youknow, I don't know what happened,
why it happened. It could havebeen some some Dolphins say pulled the fire
alar. We don't know. Yeah, but the fact that it happened at
(40:13):
at our stadium was just you know, it's another layer to to a story.
Yeah. Absolutely, on that picksix that Sam throw, I'm gonna
cut him a brake on that one. That's a quick play and it's designed
to be quick and I don't thinkhe even has a chance to see the
defender. I think that that wasjust an excellent play. And tell me
if he agreeves me on on Miami'sdefense. That was just a great play.
(40:35):
Yeah, yeah, it was.It was a great play, great
play by Bangyiko where you know,we asked Sam about it and then you
know, for him, he catchesit. Sam, he takes a stab
it right now. It's just youknow, you got to get it out
of your hands. So you're tryingto get that uh that tunnel screen on
to to to the receiver and Mangykoto his credit, instinctive play. He
(41:00):
I thought, maybe wild, hepossibly could have gave a little bit more
of a of a pass set,but he also has the responsibility to get
out and uh he's he has tobe one of the lead blockers on that
play. So it's a it's atop play where I mean and thank GK
just made it. He made ahack of a football player. Yeah,
I mean, you know, watchingit there in person, I you know,
(41:22):
I will admit I was impressed.I was like, all right,
that's that was a great play.Well, what do you think the issue
with mclaura not getting the ball whenyou got you know, one of the
best guys on the team, oneof the best guys in the league,
and you know clearly he's frustrated. What do you think the answer there is,
you know, it's just maybe alittle bit more concerned to effort.
(41:45):
I was to say, I wouldsay to to get teary of the ball
when you when you look at youknow, you watch Ceedee Lamb the other
day on on Thursday night and hehe had on twelve targets or something like
that or you'll see you aren't changed. And he may have twelve fourteen targets
and you know Stefan Days has youknow, double digit targets. You know,
(42:07):
maybe just a little bit when you'regoing to a ball game, Hey,
this is these are Terry plays there. We have you know, eight
to ten plays where there is nohey reading any read the defense. We're
getting the ball to Terry. Idon't know. I don't know if they
have that in the in the system. And this may maybe just a case
(42:28):
where you know, you want toteach a young quarterback to kind of go
through his process and not tell himwhere to go with the football. Hey,
base based on what the Prescot lookis, recoverage, those types of
things, you know, you getyou get, uh this where you know
your process tells you to go withthe football, where you may have to
(42:49):
tell that, hey, all right, I know we've coached you, but
uh these this ball is going toTerry. Yeah, so it's you just
don't know. Yeah. I hadthat conversation with a buddy of mine I
was at the game with yesterday andhe's like, why is he not throwing
to McLaurin. He's open, andI'm like, he's going some new quarterback,
I said, watch him, he'sgoing through his progressions. He's like,
(43:12):
well, he should be looking atTerry first. I feel I feel
like that sometimes too, where I'mlike, yeah, the first the first
look should be with Terry Sackers. There was a yeah, because Terry's don't
get opening and and the Dophins theyhave to outstanding corners and Xavi and Howard
and Jalen Ramsey. But yeah,Terry and Terry makes a lot of people,
(43:36):
you know, look look the averageso to speak of, he gets
open against. He's gotten open againstthe top corners before. So it's just
a matter of until you really reallysee that all twenty two, which you
know, as you're watching the game, you're looking at so many different days
and you know there's times where Isaw Terry open as well, like your
(43:57):
your buddy, but not knowing, hey, what the the primary read?
Who are the who's the one threeon this read? And a lot of
times you don't have time to getto the third progression or to come backside
if you start, you know,on one side of the field. Absolutely,
So what do you think. Obviouslyit's gonna be tough. Uh,
It's been a tough year and therehave been changes and there will most likely
(44:21):
be more and how do you whatadvice would you give to these guys,
because it's going to be tough tokeep a locker room together with the way
things have been going. What advicedo you give these guys to finish out
the season. Yeah, it's itis tough. I've been in a situation
like this, you know a timeor two where you kind of can tell
that things are going to be differentright the next season, and and you
(44:45):
know you're you're at a situation herefour and nine. It's really your leaders
have to have to be the onesto lead the charge in terms of keep
it guys in the right mindset, being professional, remain a professional, going
about uh your business every day ina manner that hey, we're still trying
to win football games. There's theevaluation still taking place. So with the
(45:10):
new coach, whether if there's achange at coaching on the coaching staff,
those coaches will re evaluate you.If there's a change of the front office
with GM and all those types ofthings, those guys will will come in
and they're gonna look at those lastfour, four or five ball games.
Hey, how guys played out ofstretch? How how are these guys when
(45:30):
adversity sets in. Are these someguys that I can can I can count
on because it's easy to be allin what things are going great. I
want to see the guys who areplaying well. And I saw, you
know, laying the ball game.I saw some guys still out there hunting
on defense. I saw you know, Kendle full of Percy Butler cam Curl.
(45:52):
There was a couple of other guysstill, you know, on the
goal line, still trying to maketackles and and and prevent prevent them from
getting in the inzones. So youknow, at that point the game was
a let I don't know, thirtyeight to thirty eight to eighteen, whatever
the score was, it okay, thirty eight to fifteen, yeah, at
(46:12):
that point. So those guys areguys who're looking like, man, these
are guys that I want to haveon my football team based on the way
their fight to the very end.Yeah, one percent agree, hundred percent
agree. Well, when things aredown, man, I always like trying
to be the glass half full kindof guy. When things are down,
there's only one place to go,and that's up. So we can only
go up from here. Now,that's assuming that somebody doesn't score forty five
(46:35):
points on us during the byway. The way things are going, I wouldn't
be surprised. But as always,London, I appreciate your time, man
and looking forward to better things, that's for sure. Thanks, Thanks for
the chat. I appreciate it allright, buddy, have a good one.
That's London Fletcher and it's right hereon Big one hundred and eight nineteen.
(46:57):
That conversation brought to you by Betthree six five. It's never ordinary.
Rock n Rock Morning with Jackson onWashington's Classic Rock Big one hundred.
Washington's Classic Rock is Big one hundred. There's Eddy Money. You can hear
(47:22):
the frustration, and even London Fletcher'svoice on this Commander's football team can't.
It's just wow. But on abright spot, we're gonna have some tickets
to give away coming up with whatdid we learn on the show today.
I've got some Peter Frampton tickets togive away for a show on March tenth,
and we will do that right aroundthe time Dennis steps in to uh
(47:45):
talk some sports. Get his takeon that second week in a row,
we gave up forty five points.I was not kidding when I said I'm
afraid we're gonna give up forty fivepoints during the bye week, and that's
not possible. But I didn't thinkany of this stuff was possible. I
think it'd be possible to have theshowers quit working after a game. I
think it possible for the fire alarmto go off during postgame interviews yesterday,
(48:07):
but they did. Florida man, let's do it, Florida man. I
don't know what it is with Floridaman and hiding their drugs in their junk.
But here's another one. Clearwater,Florida man claims the drugs deputies found
wrapped around his penis did not belongto him. We had a guy that
(48:31):
was in jail and they he hadstuffed him up. I won't even get
into it. It's a common beam. He was riding in a car that
was pulled over after police say hewas driving without his lights on. Driver
of the vehicle was arrested by policefor DUI and possession of marijuana. Search
(48:52):
of the car uncovered a gun underthe seat, So then the deputy searched
our Florida man here and found bagsof meth and cocaine wrapped around his penis.
He was arrested, and the policereport states that the package wrapped around
(49:15):
his junk was not his. Idon't know how I got there. I've
never seen that before in my life. Uh yeah, I don't think that
one's going to stand up in court. As they say, possession is nine
tenths the law, and when it'staped to your junk, that's pretty much
possession. And these people they arealways like, I don't know is on
(49:36):
mine? Oh I got there. There was a story last week about a
guy. He was in jail. They they got him for bringing contrabandon into
jail because they found, like, meth I'm turning to think out a word
this. How did I word it? Last week? Tucked up under and
behind? Yeah, and he saidwhat was his excuse? He said,
(49:57):
I'm want to put it there whilehe was sleeping. Yeah, then it
must be headache powder. Yeah, that was it. Somebody put it there
while he was sleeping. Clearly someonetaped the methan coke to this guy while
he was sleeping. This not his, And that's in Florida. Man at
eight thirty three on a Monday morning, right here on Big one hundred,
Washington's Classic Rocket's Big one hundred SeparateWays from Journey. That's a jam.
(50:22):
Listen to that on my yach loveJourney. Yeah yeah, you big Journey
fan? Absolutely yeah, step Perry. I think when I was younger,
I was a monster Journey fan.Yeah, I mean I still like him,
but seventy two they were gigantic, giganic, sold out steady by the
way. Fun fact, if youwatch the DC Housewise back about ten to
fifteen years ago, and that crazylady that was married to that dude,
(50:45):
where the they were the White HouseCrash, the White House Crashers crash.
Do you remember those two they crashedthe White House saw that season. I
don't think I followed it down. She claimed she was a Redskins cheerleader.
I mean they were nuts. Shegot divorced from him, areed up,
ended up marrying Neil Sean. Yeah, yeah, so Neil's crazy guitar player
for yeah, yeah, yeah, that's crazy. I can't remember her name
(51:08):
now, don't remember who I'm talkingabout though, I did not watch that.
Oh you're talking, Oh you're talkingabout there's only one year of the
DC Housewives. There was only theone year she was on, but they
they were featured with some other Iremember when they did that, but they
(51:28):
were certifiable. You you could watchthat season. I'm telling you, look
at what you're doing. Give goodshows. You give me another show to
seeing you. Some chorty clips thatI hope you enjoyed over the weekend.
Although they're a little bit of aspoiler. I know that one you sent
me. I was like, damnit, Dennis, A little bit of
but it was fine. It waspretty funny. A little bit of a
spoiler because it's from season two andI haven't got that far yet. And
(51:50):
I'm like, Okay, well nowI know how season one is because he
just said it. And by theway, he just has some breaking news
here. Tyreek Hill scored just anothertouchdown this moments ago. Yeah, I
think if we're not careful, he'llprobably score like six more during the bye
week. That game was over andover early. He smokes, well,
good, good conversation about you inLondon, But I will tell you this,
London has seen so much football andhe knows so much more than we
(52:14):
do. Did you listen to himcall the game yesterday? Yeah, there
was pure disappointment. There was I'venot heard him like that, and he
has every reason to be excited becausehe's on the verge of hopefully making into
the Hall of Fame, I meanthe Hall of Fame. But that team
is pulled to shoot, it reallyhas, and I feel bad for Ron.
I know you're gonna be speaking withhim in person tomorrow night with Julie
(52:35):
at overtime at DC Prime Stakes andLobsters. We should just talk about the
best place to get pizza. I'mtelling you, man, I just looked.
He looked miserable, and rightly soit should be. And it's going
to be a tough row the restof the games. And it's not going
to be pretty now. By theway, Miami is really really good.
Oh no, they're fantastic, dude. And here's the NFL. Yeah,
and you leave Tyreek Hill one onone, Yeah, that's gonna equal trouble.
(52:59):
Yeah. And it's clear that whenit comes to our cornerbacks, we
cannot cover fast wide receivers at all. New teams of the league can't cover
Tygreek Kill. I agree with that, right, I agree. That's kind
of like with AJ Brown or C. D Lamb, the DK Metcalf.
Those are the cream of the crop. Wide receivers that are hard to,
you gotta do like London was talking, you got to you gotta float of
(53:20):
safety to that side, you knowwhat I mean. I mean, that's
absolutely I mean but that that's allscheming, right, and that's coaching.
And you know they're gonna have tofigure that out next season and get some
better players too, you know, because I I some wide receivers get shut
down by really good corners. Yeah. True. Uh And you were talking
about McLaurin. I will tell youthat Jalen Ramsey, even though he's a
(53:40):
little bit on the older side, still one of the best cover guys in
the NFL. Sure, and hehad him locked up several times. But
there were also quite a few timeswh McLaurin was open. Yeah, and
I listen, I agree with youguys completely when you're talking about it.
You have got a design place thatare terry centric and he needs ten to
twelve touches at least. Yeah, you can't goes. He's a star and
(54:00):
he needs the ball. I getit that Sam is the first year quarterback
and he's you know, he's doingwhat he's supposed to do. He's going
through this is not a same issue. You can watch him go through his
progressions. Yeah, but he doesit well too, by the way.
Yeah, but you you might wantto bump Terry up on that list of
well you have to have you haveto have plays that are designed for so
that he's the first look. Yeah, and he'll say, listen, I'll
(54:20):
get open, toss me the ball. And there wasn't enough of that.
It wouldn't have mattered, though.I mean, Miami's that good. Looks
fantastic this year too, though, yeah. Uh and uh, I'm trying
to dots and uh, he droppedone, didn't he. It's it's so
hard when you're at the game.Sometimes you don't catch things as much as
good weapons. Yeah, oh,great weapons. But you know the the
(54:42):
O line. You know, Sam'sstill running for his life for the most
part. I think he's he's beensacked almost sixty times now, right,
yeah, somewhere around there, andthat's dreadful. So yeah, and you
want to now, hopefully we won'tlose that. As you mentioned, anything's
possible, anything's posible, And thentravel to the La Rams the following Sunday,
the second worst stadium in the league, so fine behind FedEx. Why
(55:07):
do you say that. I justlooked at a list of the worst stadium.
Oh really, the brand new stadiumso fine? So I listed his
second. Really, wow, Iwonder why. I don't know. Well
here i'll tell you. Hold onall right, well i'll tell you.
By the way, I don't knowwhile i'm looking this up, I don't
know if it's completely legal, likehow you start conversations. I was my
(55:30):
favorite. I don't want to keephim nameless, and I'm not going to
tell you where he was or anythinglike that. I got a guy.
There was a guy. Yeah, there's a guy selling barbecue at the game
in one of the lots yesterday.Okay, yeah, I want. I
wanted to come in and give hima plug, but I'm like, what
if he's doing that, I'm notgoing to say anything. Yeah. All
I'm gonna say is wow, flippingamazing, dude, amazing. Did you
(55:52):
have to purchase this food? Well, of course he had to purchase Okay,
just check it, right, So, yeah, he was selling it.
It was delicious. He takes betterthan anything that's insight that hell hole
of a stadium. Absolutely yeah,And he takes cash cash after Venmo and
he said chicken chicken, big oldchicken legs and half smokes and racks a
rib. Maybe they should get himto cook inside the stadium. Oh it
(56:14):
was so good, by the way, I want to I want to say
one thing about the food in thestadium and the rest of the You know,
we only have like a handful ofhome games left anyways, right,
But if I'm ownership, I'm saying, listen, you can buy a twenty
dollars vouch your and you can getas much food as you want. That's
a great idea. That's a greatidea. He still come to our games.
We do care about you, andthis is this this is a all
(56:35):
a branch to the bad football you'regonna watch fantastic, but I want you
to have a good time here, and I want you to eat as much
as possible. Yeah, and theyshould do a special one beer. So
I hope they do something like thatbecause we're not going to have sell out
sound stretcher. That's a great idea, like some sort of incentive chockfold them.
Yeah, yeah, it really is. I'm sorry. SOFI is number
three on the list of words,So why do they say it's a bad
stadium? Number one is FedExField.Do I need to explain that one to
(56:58):
you. I think you got itbetween fire alarms and no hot water and
collapsing rails and sewage leaks. AndI'm telling you, the second to least
popular stadium is Levi Stadium in SantaClara, and they have a repeated problem
with the grass surface. That's true, they do, they do. Yeah.
Third is so fine and Inglewood comesin third and third worst. That
(57:22):
surprises me. What they've got thatseventy thousand square foot video board. Yeah
right, and the screen is suspendedfrom the roof, which is cool,
but so that fans can get afull view. But apparently they have struggled
with their lack of shade throughout thestadium. And when it gets warm in
California, you're sitting in the sunjust baking. That's what people complain about.
Well, when you spend that muchon the stadium, that should not
(57:42):
be happening, right, I agreewith that. Hopefully they'll fix that bake.
Yeah, just throwing a couple hundredmillion to fix that shade issue and
you're all set to go. Iwalked in this morning, jumped on the
air, said it wouldn't surprise meif somebody got fired today. Do you
think anybody's going to get fired today? You think this Commanders? Yeah,
Commanders till the end of the season. You know what, I don't think
(58:04):
so, no, I did.And here's why. What's it gonna serve.
I don't know. It's gonna showthe fans you're doing something. I
think you've already done that with delRio and the d Backs coach. I
think that if you do it anymore, I think it's just a point where
you're saying, well, how manypeople do we need a fire to tell
everybody it's bad football? Right now? We're not gonna win any games.
So I I understand why you're askingthe question. Yeah. Uh. And
(58:24):
maybe if it were earlier in theyear and del Rio hadn't been fired.
Uh. No. I think everybody'shere until the end, unless something really
wacky happens behind the scenes, whichI doubt it. Well, because we
don't know. Sometimes, you know, there's always finger pointing and shouting matches,
and you know, I want youto do it this way, and
I'd like it to be that way. On this just came over. Tyreek
(58:47):
scored again. Okay, congratulations Tyreekfour touchdown performance versus the Commanders. Oh
boy, Yeah, he's something else, I mean football, that's a guy
you want. Yeah. And bythe way, if you and I know
you watch Tua during the game fromMiami, he's got an arm, dude,
(59:08):
cannon. Yeah, but you knowwhat, there's nothing overwhelmingly special about
him, but he executes really well. I think Sam is more athletic,
Yeah, honestly. Yeah. WellI'll tell you what. Too doesn't want
to run anymore because of the concussionissue he's had over the last couple of
years, and that could be itabsolutely is. Yeah. Well, look,
(59:28):
you can only go one place fromhere. Yeah, I really it's
gonna be an interesting conversation. Iknow that. I know you won't find
it awkward, but maybe fans will. But I'm really curious, you know
about what Ron We'll talk about tomorrowwith you guys. And I told you
pizza. Yeah, well that's fine, but but seriously about you know,
favorite holiday the last several games, does he still have the team? You
(59:51):
know? And it's tough, Imean all those things right now, you
know, And what's he doing differentlyon defense? Just so he can evaluate
or people can check out what thesekids are doing. They're playing for jobs
next year. Yeah, they reallyare, even even if a new coach
is well, London was saying that, you know, even if a new
GM, new coach is coming in, he's watching these He's watching these players
now, absolutely, he's watching yeownership is everybody. They're hustling, you
(01:00:13):
know, during tough times. Yeah, you know, when there's not much
left to fight for, if you'restill fighting. Yeah, I will tell
you though. You know, thebiggest thing for me is the fall from
grace of defense from last year tothis year. It really is extraordinary how
bad it got so quickly. Yeah, that's true. I know we made
some trades, but it was alreadybad at that point, and to be
a top five defense and then benear last now in the NFL is extraordinary.
(01:00:37):
So they've got a lot of draftingto do, they've got a lot
of free agency to pick up newcoaches, new gms or wherever they're bringing
in. But I think it's goingto just be a whole new brand.
And by the way, I don'tthink that it's a it's a rebuild.
It's not going to be that. It's going to be a retooling of the
team. They've got. They've gotplayers. Oh yeah, No, I
don't want anybody to panic about that. They're not gonna be if they'll be
(01:00:59):
new infra struct Sure in the managementside, that's fine. Sure, but
they're gonna build on what they haveright now. And I have a good
draft and I don't think Sam's goinganywhere. I think he's proven quarterback.
I think he's good. I don'twant to And by the way, getting
a quarterback, you know, whatare you going to do? Trade all
your draft capital get one of thetop two guys. I mean that's near
impossible. And that is not alwaysa well, don't agree that it's not
(01:01:21):
always. Because they can build onthe offensive line with all the draft capital
they have and get some other playersthey need and free agency because they have
so much cap space next year, this actually could be a very competitive playoff
team next year, just like that. Carson Wentz. Yeah, that's that's
the example. Its stuff like that. You know, you go out and
get the best course. It doesn'tmean anything, No, it doesn't.
It really doesn't. I mean sometimesit does, sometimes it doesn't. But
(01:01:45):
I think we we we show themwith the previous owner and then if you
look at Carolina, don't let thempick the quarterback. Hire the people to
make the right decisions and leave themalone. And I'm a feeling that Josh
Hairis rolls that way, which isfantastic. Be fine by me. I
want magic opinion. Yeah, yeah, we'll get magic here for you.
Eventually, we'll get them, getmagic on the line. All right,
all right, thank you, Okay, guys, have good Monday. Hey
(01:02:07):
what did we learn on the showtoday? This is going to be your
chance to win Peter Frampton tickets fora show coming up in March the Hall
at Live March tenth. And letme see, let me come up with
a good question from this morning.Hmm. I was gonna do something just
(01:02:28):
for what we just talked about, but that's too easy. I want to
go further back, how far, like mid morning, because we went all
the way back to the to theyou know, six am last week,
So mid morning, let's uh,let's go with Well, that's great,
we'll go with We'll go with Floridaman, We'll go with Florida man.
