(00:01):
In its earliest days, the majorfunction of radio was news. Going on
here, beautiful, let everybody go. Why don't you put on a show
and charge it mission? Okay, show, I would say something with music.
(00:25):
I'm Tommothy, now you're talking. It will be a show for everyone
who loves music and murder. Comingon, Chuck, we got it a
show to dude. Showtime. Areyou ready? I'm ready? Your job?
Well? Well, well, well, good morning. Can you hear
(00:46):
me? Am? I alive? You are live? We are live.
What's up? Crash? What's up? How things this morning? Man?
Quiet? Huh? Yeah, you'rethere all alone. I'm sitting down here
in tent City, the Commander's trainingcamp. It kind of resembles a refugee
camp in a good way. Nowthere's white tints everywhere, you know for
(01:07):
media. You know how it is, you've seen it. So yeah,
we're broadcasting live throughout the morning. We're gonna have a few special guests this
morning. I want to say,Santana Moss is gonna stop by at some
point. Let me tell you here, I'll run down the list of people
I plan on speaking to. Someof these will be while we're on the
air. Some of those might happenafter we're off the here, but then
I can plan back for you tomorrow. I think zach Ertz tight End is
(01:30):
gonna stop by at some point thismorning. Santana Moss is gonna stop by.
We may get a chance later thismorning to speak with Dan Quinn,
also Bobby Wagner, Terry McLaurin.Right, yeah, looking forward to that
one, and probably a few others. So we've got a fun filled morning
here. Man, it's gonna becool. Sun is just starting to come
(01:53):
up a little damp out there, but I think that the rain is gonna
I don't know. We may geta few sprinkles and check hours here and
there, but I think for themost part, by the time practice gets
underwright about nine o'clock this morning,we should be good to go. So,
hey, Dennis, are they allowingfans out today? Is that one
of those things? Is it ticketed? Yeah? So I guess you.
Uh, I don't know how youprobably Commanders dot com is where you'd want
(02:15):
to get information on that, ButI do know that the fans can come
out for a ticket price, I'msure, but usually you know, training
camp tickets are really really cheap,So check that out on their website all
right throughout the morning. Here,we've got to let's see Florida man.
We'll chat with Dennis. This isa sports centric morning, so Dennis is
(02:36):
hanging out down here this morning.Plus we'll get to things I know coming
up before six am. We gotsome tickets to give away. We're gonna
have Roywood Junior tickets to give awaythis morning, and we're gonna continue with
the big word of the week andthat's gonna be your chance to win Black
Crows tickets at the end of thisweek. So next letter coming your way
about seven twenty five this morning. It is DC's Classic Rock, Big one
(02:57):
hundred, DC's Classic Rock. It'sBig one hundred. Dan Jackson your live
from Washington Commander's training Camp. Iuh was just outside the tent and walked
in. I was like, Ithink it's probably time for me to jump
on the air, and I threwthe headphones on right when it was apparently
time to jump on the air.Sorry, crash, I had you down.
I was giving you plenty of cues. Oh, I'm sure you were.
(03:19):
I'm I'm sure you were. Thirtyseconds seconds where are you? I
just turned you off? So hey, if you could do me a favorite
Crash back at the studio there, because I just remember, we also have
that fifty dollars gift certificate to giveaway we do to the Great Greek Mediterranean
Place in Falls Church, So shootme over that information and then we'll maybe
(03:43):
we'll do some trivia or something thismorning to give that away. But another
great prize plus, there's Roy WoodJunior tickets that we have to give away.
That's for a show at what's thewhat's the venue again, Crash.
He's filming for a Hulu special,which is really cool. I don't know
if you've ever been to a comedyshow where where they're filming for like Netflix
(04:06):
or Hulu. It's pretty cool becausethey are on like that has to be
like their best show of the year, and it's typically two shows and they'll
you know, pluck jokes from fromeach set and then kind of splice them
all together and make a special. So the tickets we have are for that
show that he's filming for for Hulu, so we'll have those to give away
a little bit later this morning, and then of course we continue with the
(04:27):
big word of the weekend, BlackCross tickets this week for the show at
the MGM, and that is inFebruary. That is not the show with
Arismith, it's the one in February. So we'll give you a new letter
coming up at about seven twenty fivethis morning. As I mentioned earlier,
we'll have quite a few special gueststhroughout the morning. I don't really have
times on those yet. It's gonnabe kind of whenever they decide to stop
by the tent, but we'll chatwith Santana Moss, which zach Ertz should
(04:49):
get, Coach Quinn a little bitlater this morning, and quite a few
others. So it's it's gonna beit's gonna be a pretty cool morning.
I'm excited. Man sun's coming up. Fields a little wet, starting to
see people move around out here,so we'll keep you in formed, let
you know what's going on out herethroughout the morning. Things I know coming
up just around the corner, sowe'll get to that in a few It
(05:09):
is six point twenty two. It'sDC's Classic Rock, Big one hundred.
DC's Classic Rocket is Big one hundred. Good morning, six thirty eight.
Jackson here live from Commanders Training Campthis morning, and it is time for
things I know Erno Rubik, thatwas the guy that invented the Rubik's cube
in nineteen seventy four. I wasreading about he apparently can solve it in
(05:34):
like two to three minutes, butthe world record is three point one three
seconds. Who the I bring itup because Erno Rubik turned eighty years old
this month. Who the hell solvesa Rubik's cube and three point one three
seconds. I can't even pick itup that fast. I'm telling you,
(05:54):
man, I gotta find a videosomewhere. I'm sure it's on YouTube somewhere.
That's just absolutely insane. Ten yearsago, IKEA used one percent of
all the wood in the world tomake their furniture. Yes, even particle
boards still needs wood, and lotsof it, although in recent years they've
made a major push to only usewood from sustainable sources, so they say
(06:15):
they've reached about ninety one percent ofthat goal. There are twelve countries that
have a weapon on their flag. Now I want to go look at all
these American Samoya and Gola, Barbados, s Watini, Guatemala, Haiti,
Kenya, Mozambique, Oman, SaudiArabia, Srilanka and Zimbabwe. Weird.
This is interesting. Weird Owl's songeat It hit number one in Australia in
(06:40):
nineteen eighty four. That is theparody of Michael Jackson's beat It right weird
al song eat It when all theway to number one. Michael Jackson's original
beat It only went to number threein Australia, so the parody went to
number one, but one of MichaelJackson's biggest songs only mait It to number
three weird down Under. And finally, the famous British keep Calm and carry
(07:04):
On posters that you see all overthe place coffee mugs and it's been parodied
a million times. Those were neveractually distributed, believe it or not.
They were made into posters in nineteenthirty nine, but they decided not to
distribute them because they thought it mightcause a major panic. And now you
(07:24):
know, so we are live fromtraining camp this morning. We'll have quite
a few different special guests throughout themorning. Of course, you can follow
us on socials and we'll be postingup I think between myself and Dennison,
we'll be on Hey Dennis, Soyou posted mostly on Instagram or Facebook,
Twitter, He's doing Twitter, igand Facebook and you can find us at
(07:47):
Big one hundred Radio. I'll bethrowing up some stuff on Instagram. He's
got Twitter, slash x, andFacebook. So if you want to see
some footage from training camp this morning, you can find it all there.
And we hope you listened throughout themorning to uh hear some pretty cool stuff.
Right you're listening to DC's Classic Crock. It's a big one hundred.
DC's Classic Crock is a big onehundred. Dan free fall in Good morning
(08:09):
to you, seven of four. It's Jackson here. We are live from
Commanders training camp this morning. Wegot this posh tent. It's got a
c I have air conditioning. Howcool am I? Huh? Let's see.
Uh, let's see if we canget Dennis on which one is he
on? Hey? What's up?Are we there? There? We go?
Good morning, sir. Did youbring me a coffee? It's on
(08:31):
its way. Your minions have beenuh have been ordered? What's the et
A on that? By the way, I want to talk about coffee real
quick. So we're taking Jackson's orders. That's taking for freaking ever, big
surprise, and then he I said, here, just type in your order
and he puts in a large mochacoffee. Yeah huh. And I'm going,
who in the right mind, andI don't care what age you are,
(08:54):
even though you're old, that youwould order a large coffee when it's
specifically called vent a coffee. There'sgonna be an incident with the ladies that
are picking up our drinks and foodtoday if they start ordering large coffees for
you. I do it all thetime. I am not saying VENTI speak
American. Yeah. And then wewere reminded of that great Paul Red scene
(09:15):
where a large coffee say you're nowstupid in three languages. I think it
was after I watched that Paul thatI was like, I am not.
I'm not saying when you go toorder a coffee, person, do you
say a large coffee? A largesall? You know what you are,
You're a disruptor, You're just itdoesn't make any sense. It's what it's
what is this small one called there'sa grande talla, so small one's called
(09:39):
tall? Yeah? Right, yeah, So now we're we're using English and
a grande, which would wouldn't thatbe large? Listen? I don't know
Italian. I just followed the grandSpanish. I don't know, and the
tea's Italian. None of it makessense, dude, That's why I say
large. All right, who dowe have coming by this morning to chat
(10:01):
with us? Mister sports guy cavalcatedstars for you. So I'm what I'm
hoping today during the program, we'regonna get senior editor from Commanders dot Com
Zac Selby. Yeah, friend willjoin you by the way every Wednesday during
the season, and Zach writes aton of great articles. He covers his
team all the time. So well, if you have a chance this week
to go to Commanders dot com,he has done a drill down on every
(10:24):
position and their backups and the depthcharts. It's really impressive and he's done
some hard work, so please checkthat out. I know you'll talk about
that today. I told you hedid a really great article on the wide
receiver core too. That yeah Iread the other day. Yeah, he's
good man. You should check himout. He's a very good writer.
So he'll stop by with you.And I'm efforting Santana Moss, who,
by the way, will also joinyou every Monday at eight thirty during the
(10:48):
season. And Santana, of course, is a one of the great Redskins
of all time, and of coursehe does all the media stuff here now
with the team. He is dynamic, he's a podcaster. He he's fun,
and he really knows his football andhe articulates it in a very entertaining
way. So I'm hoping to getSantana by on air before we're off the
air. So two quick things onthat. Yeah, A, yeah,
(11:11):
thank you for scheduling my entire showfor the rest of the football season.
I appreciate it. You're quite welcome. B somebody's gotta do it. I
just watched a video on YouTube theother day of Santana. It was just
highlights of Santana. He was amonster Santana moss burning people, just trucking
people. Dude, he was like, it was just video of him getting
open. Oh he was sick.First of all. A lot of great
(11:35):
things about Santana. One of thebest pattern runners that you'll ever see when
he played. But also that extragear that he had, yep, and
that's what made him special. Andhe was a fan favorite too. I
mean, he was a lot offun. So hoping to get him by
today if you have some time todaynow after we get off of the air,
and later this week and next weekwe're going to bank a bunch of
interviews for you. Now we aregoing to get head coach Dan Quinn,
(11:56):
and I know you're looking forward tomeeting him since you've been doing the shots
other day with him the shooters. We did more shots. We trashed a
bar. Yeah, So so coachis coming by for sure. And then
we also have the great Bobby Wagner, who will be a Hall of Famer
someday by the way, former Seahawk, former Ram and now here with his
(12:16):
old defensive coordinator from the legion ofBoom days and Dan Quinn, so there's
that connection. And then we alsohave Scary Terry coming by, one of
the best wide receivers to Terry McLaurinin the NFL, and he's always a
great interview too, and one ofthe leaders of this team. And then
we've got a favorite of yours,Zach Ertz tight end, who is I
think a really great addition to thisteam because he brings his veteran leadership.
(12:39):
If he's healthy, which he's goingto be, he has enough gas left
in the tank for at least aseason or two here to help the young
wide receivers, including a high draftchoice that they got a tight end,
zach Is clutch Man. Well heis, and you know what, he's
also a winner too in Philadelphia. You've got a famous wife too. That's
a damn good athlete. I'm apost Julie my Man cave at home frame
(13:01):
poster of Zach Ertz then really justawesome. I'll to see if I can
give it up and show it toyou. Try cool. So we got
all those guys come by. Maybethere'll be a couple more surprises, but
that's a cavalcade to start for youtoday. But it's good. So you
know, there's only certain days thatfans can come out here media too,
but I know you beside today, you'll be here in August second and at
(13:22):
the end of training camp, whichI think your last day here is on
August twenty third, so we'll geta good snapshot for you what's going on.
And then everybody's your marked down ontheir calendar because of course the Big
one hundred is your flagship for Commandersfootball and all the programming that goes around.
At August tenth, a Saturday, that is the preseason game number one
at the New York Jets. It'sa kickoff at twelve noon. We've got
(13:43):
our pregame show starting at ten amthat day. We've got new host this
here, Michael Jenkins, who alot of people know in this area has
done a great job when it comesto Commanders and DC sports in general.
He'll be your new host this year. And of course Bram Weinstein is back
with play by play London Flo you'redoing color commentary in the radio. And
then Logan Paulson is a new addition. Logan will be on the sidelines,
(14:05):
former tight end of this team andalso an analyst, so we get his
standpoint down on the field during gamesand then back for the post game.
This year we'll be Scott Jackson andFred Smoot perfect and they'll be at the
Craft House and resting on August tenth, and we're gonna stop by their today
say hi to them, have somefun. So August tanton is our first
day. Damn Dennis is good atplugging everything and it's all on the iHeart
app Hey me, could you plugthe iHeart Music Festival too? I have
(14:28):
no idea what's going on there.I only know sports. He gets the
all in. Thank you Dinnymcial. It's seven ten. We'll we'll be back
to industry at DC's Classic Rock Bigone hundred, DC's Classic Rockets Big one
hundred back Black Little ac DC.I'm wearing my AC DC shirt today.
That's perfect. Seven twenty four. It's Jackson here. We are broadcasting live
(14:52):
from Commanders Training Camp. We'll havea guests throughout the morning and then hopefully
chat with some other people after weget off the air and we can air
those back for you throughout the week. I had a chance to chat with
Jonathan Allen last night. That isa large man. That is a very
very large man. I might haveto post a picture from last night because
he makes me look like a likea like a toddler. I did.
(15:18):
Nobody's gonna be looking at me inthat picture, and you're gonna be looking
at that giant Jonathan Allen Like,I mean, he makes me look like
a three year old standing next tohim. I'm like, I looked at
the picture and was like, ohmy god, really so big he was
in person. But that was greatgetting to chat with him last night.
I had to go do that alittle later last night and put down a
(15:39):
couple of espressos so that I couldstay awake. And I should not have
done that, because then last night, at about midnight, I was still
laying in bed staring at the ceiling. Did you fall asleep at all last
night? I fell asleep at aboutmidnight and I got up at three.
Yeah, I got about three hours. Nice. That's not bad. It's
better than Nana. Right. Hey, Today's National Ta Tequila Day. Thirty
(16:02):
percent of are you ready for yourtequila facts? Thirty percent of Americans say
margarita? Is there? Go toohappy hour drink? Seventy six percent of
Americans do like margaritas, including arounda third who say they not just like
them, they love them. Andwhere was it? Oh? Yeah,
Nevada. Apparently in Nevada. Iwould guess that's cause Vegas that's where the
(16:22):
most tequila is consumed. The averageperson drinks two point three bottles a year.
Then I thought you were going tosay a day, I'm like no,
No, followed by Nevada, followedby Colorado and Arizona, and then
California. Pennsylvania ranked last at aquarter bottle a year. And I'd have
(16:42):
to see the complete list to seewhere, like you know, Maryland or
Virginia landed, but Nevada at thetop of that list. Tequila day.
Should we get some tequila going inhere, Dennis, come on. Uh,
we'll wait till we get off theair. I mean, I'm not
stupid. We'll hit it all right. It is seven twenty six, coming
up in the eight o'clock hour,of course. Uh, you're gonna do
(17:03):
sports from out here man, Yeah, I'll love sports on tap. We'll
have Florida Man for you. We'regonna give away some tickets for Roywood Junior.
We're gonna continue with the big wordof the week. So let's give
you a letter now, because thisis good to be a big word of
the week on Big one hundred.Today's letter is today's letter crash. You're
gonna have to help me out becauseE E, thank you. It's not
(17:25):
in front of me. E.The letter E is an eagle, the
letter E. Are you looking atmy little board there? No, I
just know what the word that you'relooking at my little whiteboard in the studio.
Nor I'll market in for you.Thank you. I appreciate it.
Letter E. All right, Fridaymorning's gonna complete the word black Crows tickets
for a show in February from DC'sClassic Crockets Big one hundred, DC's Classic
(17:48):
Crocket's Big one hundred Chili Peppers.Jackson here live from a Commander's training camp
Crash. If you could do mea favor, what you need when you
turn the MIC's on. I'm usedto people saying you're hot. That it's
just like a little ego boost throughoutthe morning, Like every time we go,
(18:10):
you just go, Okay, you'rehot, Grass, Mike's are up.
I'm making a point not to saythat, Oh well I tried.
Uh Hey, we're gonna chat withZach Selby a little bit later this morning,
and uh we're we'll see what happenswhile we're on the air, because
there is practice this morning. Obviouslyit's a pretty busy day. It's the
first day of training camp. Butour plan is throughout the morning to speak
(18:33):
with Zach Ertz. We're gonna talkto Terry McLaurin, We're gonna talk to
coach Quinn, Bobby Wagner. ZachSelby's gonna come up in just a bit
here, probably just the right sideat eight o'clock this morning, and more
so stick around. Some of thosewill be off the air that we'll play
back for you tomorrow. But alot of good stuff lined up for you
here in h in the next fewAre you coming out to training camp crash
(18:57):
later? Today you're sticking around thestud udo doing your nineteen thousand jobs.
I will be at the studio formost of the day. Yeah, you
are the hardest working man in showbiz. I'll give you that. It is
seven forty three and let's as wego to break here, I want to
I want to give this away.Well, so we'll make it easy today
(19:18):
because logistically this will be the easiestthing to do. One hundred four nine
and three one double O three. We have fifty bucks again today on the
Great Greek Mediterranean Grill gift card. That Great Greek Mediterranean Grill is in False
Church. I want to try toswing out there this this weekend and check

dot com. Great Greek Grill dotcom. But we have fifty bucks on
a gift card for you. We'llgive it to caller number five at one
hundred four nine three one double Othree. Good luck from DC's Classic Rocket.
It's big one hundred, DC's ClassicRocket. It's big one hundred.
Tom Petty, Back down, Jacksonhere and we alive from Commander's training camp.
(20:03):
Coming up in a bit. Here. We're gonna chat out with Santana
Moss and I think I think wemight have Zach Selby from Commanders dot Com
on the line. Can we gethim through? Yeah, you do,
I'm right here, man, Zach. What's going on? Man? Oh,
well, I'm really excited the trainingcamp is here finally after months sitting
in traffic. Is kind of abummer that we're feeling great. I was
(20:25):
just gonna say, why aren't youhere yet? Man, Well, I've
had other engagements. I'll just saythat. But yeah, we're on our
way. I'll be there for thefirst press conference in about thirty minutes or
so. Fantastic. Well, I'lltell you this, man, it's a
lot easier driving here at five inthe morning than driving here now, for
sure. So I've heard. SoI've heard. Yeah, Hey, I
(20:45):
read the last few articles you wrote. I really enjoyed the one about the
wide receiver corps and what are youlooking for? That'd be my first question
on that wide receiver cord. Itjust kind of expanded what you were writing
about, who you're looking for tostep up and what do you think is
gonna happen in that in that widereceiver corps. You know, it feels
(21:06):
like this receiving the PREEVI corps isalways one of the more interesting positions every
year, just because we already wealways know who the top guys are gonna
be, Terry, it's gonna beTid. You know, previous years it
was guys like Curtis Samuel, butthis year, like we really don't know
who's gonna be the three and thefour or even the five outside of you
know, outside of those top guys. I'm really looking to see if Jimmy
(21:26):
Brown can finally sort of put itall together. I mean I put this
in the article, but the lasttime that we saw him do something really
like what he was drafted to dotwo years ago against the Tennessee Titans,
and that was a great game, but that was, you know, now
two years ago, and he's gotpotential. You see the flashes of the
contents to catch that they've ability toput the field. You just really want
(21:48):
to see him do that more consistently. And if he can do that,
I think that that really opens upthis offense and it solves a lot of
questions for them. If not,I mean, who knows gonna happen?
I think you know all all ofme to as a kiss. I think
he's gonna be very interesting to watch. I mean, he's he doesn't have
a whole lot of stats, buthe's a very good special teams player,
and he is on a block. And I think a guy that I'm keeping
(22:10):
my my eye on for training campis Roswie Jack sing that the require retiver
out of Georgia who hadn't really reallyimpressive one headed catch during Ricky Minnie's right,
Yeah, yeah, and no itwas sick. And he's got he's
got this length, he's got theability to make these supposed to plays.
So and there's always a training caphere every year. It might end up
being him, but I think youknow that also, Lucien lou Diccaffery looks
(22:34):
really good in OPA. I thinkhe's pretty much gonna I guess he's gonna
be the slot guy. Yeah, but again, like I think if he
could, if he he can bemore, he might even be even being
a little more outside. Who knows, but it's I think he's a very
fascinating position that we're all gonna bekeeping our eyes on. Yeah, what
are your thoughts on? I knowQuinn addressed the Jiden Daniels uh thing the
(22:55):
other day when he was saying, you know, no decisions have been made
yet, and will you know,we'll get through camp and we'll we'll figure
out where we're going. Do youthink Jaden's gonna be the starter by preseason
or what do you think is gonnahappen there? You know, I really
don't think it really matters all thatmuch for that for for people, because
we all know he's gonna be thestarter at some point. I mean,
(23:15):
he looked at in my opinion,he looked better than Marks Marioti, even
though Marcus Mariota is a dad,he's experiencing all that stuff. But I
mean, he was drafted number twooverall to be the future a franchise.
I don't really feel like there's anyneed to put any more pressure on him
than their needs to right now.And if you look at it like it's
kind of just the process of Ithink only of the rookies, I think
(23:36):
only Tayleb Williams has been officially namedthe starter, and that would happened like
with the day after draft day.I would imagine that we'll preseason. I
think that might be a little tooearly. I would guess by like the
second or third preseason game. Well, well we will, we will get
what we already know that James Danielsis going to be the starter for week
one. But look, he's beendoing great. I don't think there's any
(23:56):
reasons made a doubt, but hewon't be the starter by wee one.
He's been improving a lot. He'ssmart, he's dedicated, he's got really
good work at work ethic. Idon't put a whole lot of stock into
worrying about it because he hasn't downanything to me. They would make me
say, oh, I don't knowif this was the right decision right right.
Well, it's definitely exciting, man, I mean you can just feel
(24:18):
it in the air. This year. It is uh, it is something
else. I had the chance tochat with Jonathan Allen last night and we
were talking about exactly that just aboutthe the buzz in the air, and
he was telling me, He's like, if you could just see like the
way dan Quinn talks to us,the way he runs a practice, the
way he speaks to us. He'slike, it's just different, and it
sounds like it's gonna be a fantasticseason at least the beginning of something great,
(24:41):
you know what I mean? Yeah, for sure, I think I
think the building blocks are definitely there. The foundation has been laid. Yeah,
and these players really I think, like Jonathan Allen's out, they didn't
really have fought into what dang Clintonis trying to sell them. That's so
great to hear because the team,I think near the into last year,
I think that some of the messagesis kind of kind of it sort of
(25:03):
fell fell in not to death years, but I think he just clearly wasn't
working me out. And I thinkDan Flin brings a lot of energy.
His coaches bring a lot of energy. They're fought into what they're doing.
And I don't know, we're notgonna put out records yet, it's still
crazy early to be doing that, but I would be surprised if they if
they aren't. They are at leastbetter than what they were last year.
I really do see a better rosterthan what we had last Absolutely, Well,
(25:26):
I appreciate your time, Zach Manon. Well, we'll chat with you
when you get down here, allright, Absolutely, I'll see y'all in
a little bit, all right,Thanks Zach Selby commanders dot com. You
can check out his stuff on thewebsite Commanders dot com. Write some great
stuff on the regular and it's alwaysworth your time, always worth a read.
All right, we'll take a breakhere. We're back to in just
a few. It's eight thirteen. You're listening to DC's Classic Rockets Big one
(25:48):
hundred, DC's Classic crocketted It's Bigone hundred. They had us a clash
and rock to Kasma. It's JacksonHere. We're live at training camp,
Commander's Training Camp, day one,say twenty eight, and good morning,
Celine. Dion's gonna make two millionbucks to sing one song at the Olympics.
Two million dollars during the opening ceremony. And guess who's carrying the torch
(26:12):
Snoop Dogg. How much is hegetting for that? I don't know,
I don't know. You know,he's probably just carrying the torch, singing
light at spliff. That's probably what'sconcerned about. But uh yeah, Selene,
I just couldn't believe that. WhenI saw that this morning, I
was like, all right, coolSnoop Dog is carrying the torch. And
then I'm like two million dollars forone song like four minutes. That is
(26:37):
absolutely insane. All right, comingup here in a bit, hopefully we're
going to I think he's gonna swingby the tent here. We're gonna chat
with Santana Moss and then we've gotsome good stuff we're gonna throw in the
can for you a little bit later, which means I'll be able to play
back some stuff this week. We'llplan on chatting with coach Dan Quinn,
We'll chat with Bobby Wagner, willchat with Terry mcclaurin and Moore. All
(26:59):
Right, it's DC's Classic Rock,Big one hundred, DC's classic Rock as
blind Melono ring. Give me atest, Dennis, you grabbed the other
ones. I don't know. Ican't hear Dennis. Nobody can hear Dennis
right now, of course, rightwhen our engineer leaves, I can't get
Dennis on the air. Yeah, you can try the wireless, but you
(27:19):
got to turn it on. Weare live at training camp and if you
listen, carefully listen, that's rightin the tent next to us. Dan
Quinn is doing a press conference. And it was just covering the fact that
this is for the first time,Hi, Hey, how are you all
right? Good? There we go. This is the first time in like
several years that the team has completelystayed off site, which is and he's
(27:45):
covering you know why that's good forthe team, why that's good for training
camp, et cetera. It waskind of can you hear me? I
can't hear you, but I cannow we can't. Thank you? You're
good? Yeah, all right, you're great on the board. Huh well
yeah, we were like about togo in there. We have an engineer
who is just absolutely tops right, and he's Matt, Matt's best you know.
(28:06):
The one thing that I've noticed byhearing Quinn over the time he's been
hired to say coach and he's rightnow talking to the media, he's really
really thoughtful in his answers. Ireally appreciate that, not only from being
a media member, but just fromarticulation to the because the media is to
the fans right right, and theyget to hear very thoughtful answers about what
he thinks about the players and theteam. And by the way, he's
(28:27):
really appropriately candid. Yeah, andI love that about him, I really
do. And you're gonna get achance to talk to him later on that
we'll hear the interview later on thisweek. I was talking to Jonathan Allen
last night, and you know,it was like, you guys are playing
off site your or your your standoffsite for camp this year, and I
was like, what are you doingto keep busy? Yeah? Video games?
(28:48):
College twenty five That's what he said. He's been playing cause I told
you yesterday, Man, they're probablyall playing it and killing time. Yeah,
And he said, you absolutely haveto play it. That's what everybody's
saying. It's the hot game. He's like, I've got to PS five
up in my room right now.I'm gonna go play it after this.
You know, the origin about whycollege twenty five or college football has not
been around, or college athletics ingeneral. The video game It was a
(29:11):
licensing thing, wasn't it. Itwas, But it started with edel Bannon
and who was a basketball player atUCLA when they used his likeness and he
said, why am I not gettingpaid for this? Yeah? And so
there was a gigantic lawsuit that lastedfour years in the courts. So it's
been going on for I want tosay at least a decade, probably maybe
even fifteen years. Somebody out therewill know exactly. But that's why you
(29:33):
haven't had a college video game forme A Sports because they didn't want to
pay the players. So now withnil and all the other stuff going on,
everybody gets their likeness and they getpaid and they're getting paid. Yeah.
I saw the on Madden. Isaw the graphics for Jaden's it hits
(29:55):
it no for for Madden, Ohfor Madden. Oh yeah, for NFL,
and it was you know what numberhe was at. He's got to
be in the nineties. I don'trecall. I mean I just saw the
top number you can get and youactually get a gift from the sports and
Madden is these really gorgeous shoes ifyou're a ninety nine player, right,
and there's only a handful of them. Yeah, it was. I only
(30:17):
saw like a fifteen second clip ofit. But the thing I noticed was
that maddeness comes so far. Dude, it looks like you can't tell it's
a video game anymore. It lookslike you're watching TV. It's incredible.
It is just as any game.Yeah, any game. So whether it's
Star Wars or whatever you're playing that, I mean, it looks like real
(30:37):
people. I mean you're talking toa guy who, like you know,
played Atari. It's a joystick andPong like you know. So for all
those folks out there, Jackson stillplaying Pong and the Outlaw, I would
still play Pong, and Dick Doug, I would still play Pong, all
right, anything else in the sportsworld. The Nats have a three game
(30:57):
set that is continuing with San Diegoand NAT's Park. So if you want
to go see a ball game, hopefully the weather holds up. It's actually
it rained early this morning out here, but now it's been nice. It's
still muggy and kind of soggy outyeah, but the weather is palatable for
the players that'll be in pads andeverything. That's really the big thing.
I mean, Commanders Camp day one. Yeah, I know you're gonna be
(31:18):
out here at least a couple moretimes during training camp. But We just
want to remind everybody that a coupleof things during the season, you're gonna
have a plethora of insiders. LeVarArrington, Santanamos, Zach Selby, Tim
Murray from vis in our gambling sportsexpert, and we're working on a very
special guest that has not done yet, but you know, we'll we'll hopefully
lock that in. Mike Floria fromPro Football Talk WO also join you weekly
(31:40):
during the season, and he's bythe way, he's electric. You might
you might have to try to containhim here. I was going to say.
He is opinionated that terribly. That'swhy I asked him to be on
weekly with you. Yeah, sowe've got a lot of guests and then
you know, periodically the voice ofthe Commander of Bram Weinstein, who we
saw earlier today, he'll join youand you know, hopefully get some others
(32:01):
on. But it's gonna be afun season, lots of commanders content.
Of course, everything will be postedon the big socials for everybody. If
you miss it with Jackson, howdare you? But you know, we're
all locked and loaded, so it'sgonna be a lot of fun. I'm
just called football's here man, andwe'll forget August tenth, our first preseason
game at the Jets twelve o'clock kickoff, pregame at ten AM. Bram London,
(32:22):
Fletcher and Logan Paulson with the call, and Michael Jens Jenkins with the
pregame show starting at ten. He'snew to the team. We're excited about
him. It's gonna be a lotof fun, fantastic. All right,
well, thank you, Dennis, you impreciate it. Let's throw it back
to the studio crash. We wantto throw some tickets out for roy Wood
Junior and for that comedy show wherehe's filming, for that Hulu special.
(32:44):
We can do that with what havewe learned on the show today? Okay,
what do you got? All right, So I am in the studio
today. Jackson is somewhere else where? Is he? Make it three one,
double three. All you got todo is get through that season enough
and we'll say shail with tickets Averry good luck from DC's Classicrack Coets Pick one hundred
