Speaker 1 (00:03):
In its earliest days, the major function of radio was news.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Going on here, you're beautiful, let everybody go. Why don't
you put on a show and charge it mission? Okay,
so I would say something with music. I'm comedy. Now
you're talking. It will be a show for everyone who

(00:31):
loves music and murder.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Come on, Chuck, we got it a show to dude, showtime?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Are you ready? I'm ready to get your job? All right? Well,
happy Monday.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
It feels like a Monday this morning. You gotta be
honest with you.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Who six oh seven, Good morning to you.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
I had every intention of getting out to see Deadpool
and Wolverine over the weekend, but it didn't happen, but
opened with two hundred and five million at the domestic
box office. That makes it the eighth biggest opening of
all time. It also set the record for biggest opening
ever for an R rated movie.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Wow. Globally did four hundred and thirty eight point three million.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
So it now holds the record for biggest opening ever
for an R rated movie. It dethroned the first Deadpool,
which held the record at about one hundred and thirty
three million.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
So it crushed it. Wow.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Hugh Jackman Bryan Reynolds recreated the sad Wolverine meme to celebrate.
He says, quote Wolverine and Deadpools and number one movie
in the world. Thank you all.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
I'm all right now I gotta get out and see this.
Would you like Logan? I mixed them all up, Like
Logan was the.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Very serious one that was like the it was supposed
to be like the end of Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
I mean I don't dislike any of them, so I
would just say yes, And it's just not one where
I'm like, oh, that sucked.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
I can't think of any that sucked really.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
That was the one that was very critically acclaimed.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Well, I'm anxious to get out and see this one,
although I kind of wait until the crowds are gone,
and I'm like dealing with crowds, so we'll see him.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
What will happen is.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
I'll wait till it's streaming and then I'll watch it.
It is six o nine coming up this morning, we
are gonna have a chat with Bobby Wagner from your
Washington Commanders.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Got to sit down with him a training camp last week.
Pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
We'll talk to Bobby Wagner today and then I believe
zach Ertz. Tomorrow morning plus for the Big Word of
the Week, we're gonna have a chance for you to
win Iron Maiden tickets this week. New Letter comes your
way at seven point thirty, and then every day this week.
We're also gonna have tickets for Alice Cooper and Rob
Zombie for show coming up. All right, hold on to

(03:00):
this number. It'll come in handy later. One eight hundred
four nine three one three. It's DC's Classic Rock, Big
one hundred, DC's Classic Rocket.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
It's a big one hundred, Sweet Home Alabama. There's Leonard
Skinnered Jackson here. Good morning.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
We're giving away some Iron Maiden tickets for the Big
Word of the Week this week, New Letter, First Letter
of the Week coming to wait about seven twenty ish
this morning, and then a little bit later this morning,
and we'll have these every day. We've got tickets for
Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie for that show coming up.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
So in Olympics, I have not watched a ton of
it yet, but.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
The US has taken an early lead in the medal
count twelve medals at the Olympics this weekend and came
out of it out of the weekend. Here with the
overall lead. Those were three gold including two and swimming,
one in fencing, fencing and then I love that you

(03:57):
can win a gold medal and fencing. More than eighty
medals were handed out in the opening weekend of the Olympics,
and tam Usa won twelve of those.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
I did see Simone Biles was.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
I think she injured her calf or something, but still
managed to keep doing you know what she does, which
is being the greatest in the world. We'll see if
that hinders her moving forward. But I haven't heard any
reports on how bad it is other than she tweets.
She tweets it in like warm up yeah, which is uh,
is really odd.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
When is the skateboarding competition starting?

Speaker 1 (04:33):
I gotta I gotta get a schedule in front of
me so I can watch. The reason I haven't watched
a ton yet is because I don't know when it's
on or where it's on. So and and that's why.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
I get play by play on the iHeart app. Yeah
that's free.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Yeah, yeah, I like to I like the visual though,
you know what I mean. So I just need to
get a schedule in front of me so I can
because I'm sure there's a lot of stuff I can
watch in the afternoon slash early evenings, and I'm really
looking forward to some of the stuff coming up. I
saw Salt Lake City got the Olympics again. It was

(05:07):
like twenty thirty four. I might be off on that year,
but they decided that end of last week. Last time
Salt Lake City had the Olympics was two thousand and two?

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Was it?

Speaker 1 (05:19):
You had two thousand and two? Because I was actually
out there, and it is insane what they do to
a city to prepare for the Olympics. It is you
wonder why I like these cities fight to like get
the Olympics. The massive improvements they make, the things they build,
it's just mind boggling, like how much they'll do to

(05:42):
improve a city before the Olympics.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
So it's kind of a big deal, you know.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
All right, it is six twenty four. We will take
care some business here and again. Bobby Wagner from your
Washington Commander, is going to be on the program a
little bit later this morning. Well probably do that about
seven to twenty ish. Stick around DC's Classic Crock.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
It's a big one hundred.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
DC's Class Crock is big one hundred running down to
dream Tom Petty, it is Jackson here, six thirty eight.
Time for things I know conversation with Bobby Wagner from
your Commander's coming up in the seven o'clock are probably
about seven twenty ish. When we're born, the only innate

(06:20):
fears we have are the fear of falling and the
fear of loud sounds. All other fears are learned. Eight
of the ten largest statues in the world are Buddhas.
I think I have heard that before. This is cool.
In Belgium, there is an underground pipeline we may have

(06:42):
talked about this before, that runs two miles two miles underground,
solely for the purpose of transferring beer from a brewery.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
To the bottling plant.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
I would find a way to hack into that.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
That's all awesome.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
A two mile underground pipe that just transports beer in
nineteen twenty one, well from nineteen twenty one to nineteen
thirty six. I'm not sure how this happens, but what
are the odds? Liketenstein and Haiti had the exact same flag.
They didn't know it. They found out in the nineteen

(07:20):
thirty six Olympics and afterwards, uh is it? I think
it's Liechtenstein, not Leichtenstein, right. Liechtenstein added a yellow crown
to their flag.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
It's like showing up the prom wearing the same dress.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
It's like crazy. I don't know what are the odds
of having the exact same flag.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
In twenty twenty two, Beijing became the first city to
have hosted the Summer Olympics and the Winter Olympics. They
had the Summer Olympics in two thousand and eight and
of course Winter Olympics in twenty twenty two, and a
total of sixty five countries boycotted the nineteen eighty Summer
Olympics in Moscow. Most of us remember that fourteen boycotted

(08:02):
the eighty four Olympics in Los Angeles. But only two
countries boycotted, both Iran in Albania. They just hate everyone,
I guess. And there are only two countries. Finally, only
two countries that have participated in every single Summer Olympics

(08:23):
since they started in eighteen ninety six, Greece and Australia.
Interesting Greece, I would have been like, yeah, well obviously, Greece.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
Australia, huh, it's kind of cool, all right.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
It is six forty one. We'll take care some business here.
We're back to in just a few. It's DC's Classic Rock,
Big one hundred. DC's Classic Rocket is Big one hundred
and good morning to you. I think coming up here
in Maryland and virginia's that tax relief day or tax
relief days. This is where they give you a couple
of days off where you don't have to pay sales

(08:58):
tax for back to school shopping. I want to say
from Maryland, it's like August third and fourth. DC doesn't
have it. They did up until two thousand and nine,
and and they repealed it. What's included in that you
just don't pay sales tax? And it's its most and yeah,

(09:21):
most everything you would buy for back to school clothes,
shoes up to a certain dollar amount.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
But uh, yeah, no, DC just hates kids. I guess.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
Does Virginia and Maryland have the back to school packages
that you can order early in the summer so that
you don't have to buy any supplies that it's all
U pre ordered and delivered right to the school.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Oh, I don't know, because we have that. I've never
heard of that.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
That's that's lovely, That is lovely.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
Never heard of that. I was just looking at I
saw it this morning. Let me see if I can
pull it up because I want to. Yeah, here it is.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
I want to.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
I want to pull up the exact dates because I mean,
that's pretty cool for a couple of days. Man, no
sales tax at all if you're if you're in Virginia
or Maryland.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
August second through fourth.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
For Virginia, and then it looks like August eleventh through seventeenth.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Damn, almost a whole week from Maryland tax free week.
So there you go. If you're doing any back to
school shopping, head to Maryland or in Virginia. There you go.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
All right, we will keep things rolling here. It's a C,
D C and Highway to Hell coming up. Bobby Wagner
from your Washington Commander. It's a little chat with him
at about seven to twenty. It's DC's Classic Crock Big
one hundred. DC's Class Crock is Big one hundred in
the air tonight. Its little Phil Collins for you. It's

(10:49):
Jackson here, good morning to you. Seven oh seven. Bobby
Wagner from the Commander is going to be on the
show coming up about seven twenty this morning. Plus a
new letter for you. Actually the first letter for the
week for the big word of the week, and that's
going to be your chance at Iron Maiden tickets at
the end of this week, and then a little bit
later this morning, we're going to give you a chance
to win tickets to see Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie

(11:14):
had some friends that recently went to the Alice Cooper
Robs Zombie show some north somewhere and then northeast somewhere.
He said Alice Cooper killed and that Rob Zombie kind
of disappointed, really surprised the hell out of me, because
Zombie usually puts on a fantastic show. They said his

(11:37):
voice was a little off that night and that the
theatrics kind of too much, too much, And I was like, what,
that doesn't sound like Rob Zombie. But there were like
three of them and they were telling me, yeah, it's bad.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
Could your friends possibly be lame?

Speaker 2 (11:55):
No?

Speaker 1 (11:55):
I think that maybe, sure, I think that maybe it
was just a bad show. Which, come on, when you're
playing that many shows in a year, one of them's
probably gonna be not as good as it.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
I just like to think of Rob Zombie is never
ever having a bad show. Ever.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
Well, apparently he did.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
It is National Chicken Wing Day, and that means a
bunch of deals. I'll leave it up to you to
figure out where those are. But if it's a place
that sells chicken wings, they're probably running some sort of
special today. Whether it's Wing Stop or Buffalo Wild Wings,
or Applebee's or Popeyes or even Hooters. For God's sake,

(12:34):
there's all sorts of specials. Typically those revolve around apps,
is what I've noticed lately. They really want you to
download the app, but to keep an eye on that.
If you're a fan of wings. Today it is seven
o eight. We will take care of some business here.
We're back to in just a few it's DC's Classic Rock,
Big one hundred. DC's Classic Rock is Big one hundred.

(12:55):
There's journey anyway you want it. Let's give them the
letter for the big word of the week. This is
gonna be good for Iron Maiden tickets on Friday. Sound
good the big word of the week on Big one hundred.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Today's letter is the letter G is in goat. The
letter G is in go.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
All right, every morning this week, right about this time,
we give you a new letter into the week. Spells
word know the word win the prize. Iron Maiden tickets
up for grabs this week. So again the letter g
all right from Commander's training camp. I had a chance
to sit down with the Bobby Wagner, which was pretty
cool and chat about camp and the Commanders and the

(13:35):
upcoming season. And we'll play that back for you know,
let's give a listen. Bobby Wagner joins us at the
broadcast table. Welcome, my friend, Welcome, Welcome to the Commanders.
Man to say we're stoked to have you here would
be an understatement. You've made a.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Name for yourself in this league.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
You were part of the Legion Boom couple super Bowl,
super Bowl win, and a lot of guys look up
to you as a player. And I think when they,
you know, said they were going to bring you in,
a lot of us went, now that's a leader. How's
that feel?

Speaker 4 (13:59):
It feels good. I mean, I think you know, when
you're a rookie and when you kind of first into
the league, you want, you know, a lot of times
you strive for earning that respect from your peers, respect
from the people that you play against. And so when
you receive that, when you get that, it's something that
is very cool and something that you want to, you know,
take care of and honor in an amazing way. Because

(14:20):
I think with me, when I first got into the
league and you know, you start playing well, and you know,
we go to Super Bowls and things like that, I
had guys that I looked up to, that that I
reached out to and I asked for help and things
of that nature. And so to fast forward and be
that person, I think that's cool.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
And you obviously have a lot left in the tank,
Like do you even think about how much longer you'll play?

Speaker 2 (14:42):
Does that even crush your mind? To you?

Speaker 4 (14:45):
My goal, My goal was always to get to ten
and then figure it out. I wasn't trying to see
in the future or anything like that. I'm being present
in the moment because a lot of my teammates have
retired or people that I've been around and have retired,
and the one thing and they talk about the most is
as they wish that they were more present when they
were in learning that That's kind of where I'm at.

(15:06):
I'm just present in the moment and I know that
everything's gonna take care of yourself, and my job is
to work out, stay smart, be ready, be available and
let God take care.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Of the rest.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
I have a friend that used to, uh, the way
he used to work that was remember every day that
today is the good old days, right right? And I
was always found that pretty profound. That's a bar, right,
yeah for real. So, uh, you've got a history with
with dan Quinn. How's the atmosphere out there?

Speaker 2 (15:32):
What's it? What do you think is gonna be like?
Playing for for dan Quinn again? It's gonna be amazing, man,
you know.

Speaker 4 (15:36):
I think for me is you know, getting like working
on your craft and getting through camp and getting to
those games, and I just know the energy around not
just you know, the building or our team, just everybody,
the fans, everybody wants and earns for, you know, just
that season where you know everybody's connected something positive. I

(15:57):
think we have everything to kind of give the fans that.
So I think that's that's on us now. But I'm excited.
I think it's gonna be a really good year. I
think everybody can feel the difference. Oh yeah, you know
feel the excitement and you know it's up to us
as players and coaches to give them something to be
excited for.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
Yeah, And I'll tell you last year, especially towards the
end of the season, it was rough. Man, it was rough.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
And it's a completely different vibe this year. And I
mean it's a completely different vibe. But the players were
talking to to the coaches, we're talking to to the fans.
You know, everybody is really really excited.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
About this season.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
And it's even the excitement is even along the lines
of like, we don't even care about this season. We
just know it's the beginning of something great, do you
know what I mean. I mean, it'd be awesome if
you but people were just like, we're just glad it's
on the way to being fixed because it was broken
for a long time.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (16:46):
I mean obviously I wasn't here, you know, like everybody else.
I read some stuff and there was a lot of negativity,
you know that that didn't transpire within the building, which
is not often the case a lot of times is
the negativity comes from on the field, But when you
get it outside the field, it's like, Okay, I just
felt the sense of just like, man, just once you

(17:07):
got rid of that, now you can, you know, cheer
for the team again, and so a good time. I
feel like it's it's a great time to be here,
be a part of organization.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
So as a leader, has that guy that's been around
the league and it's got your resume, what's your early
assessment of the defense about some of those younger guys
out there.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
Man, I don't know if I'm the person asked and
it's all early, I get it, That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
And you know, I think ask me that when we
put pass on, because I think you learn you know
a lot, you know, when you put pazzle on, and
you with this heat and preseason and all those things.
So that's kind of how I've I've gauged things over
the last few years. It's just it's no different in
high school. It's no different than college. People just look

(17:52):
different when they don't have pazz on.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
You.

Speaker 4 (17:55):
There's a reason why this game is played with pazzle,
and so that's when it gets real. That's why you
find out who somebody really is. And so everybody looks amazing,
Everything looks great. But I always you know, wait until
the past come on, and then I'll give you a
fair assessment. So when you see me or if I
come back on a game around the paths, I'll be
able to answer that question. Defense I'm excited about. I

(18:16):
think schematically, we were doing some amazing things that I'm
excited about.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
And you've been a part of some great defenses, so
you would know, what what do you think of Jadon
and Daniels.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
He's the kid everybody is excited about.

Speaker 4 (18:27):
Man. Yeah, and he's from the Ie, He's from where
I'm from. So yeah, I want to do everything that
I can to make sure. You know, his first year
is success, but his career is successful. But he's he's poised,
he's confident. He's everything you want a quarterback to be,
especially at this age, and expect somebody like that to
come in and be so poised, be so confident. That's

(18:48):
kind of what you want. You can teach everything else,
you can't teach confidence, and so he has that and
and I'm excited for his growth.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
It's it's great talking to everybody. It's like they say,
he's like one of the hardest workers in the building.
You know, could the kind of guys first show up,
last to leave, and that he carries himself well and
you know, beyond his years, and so it's fantastic to
you know, to hear stuff like that. It's a wonderful thing.
And we're looking for really looking forward to a good season. Man,
We're really looking forward.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
To We're almost there. So we had training camp. Now
come out and watch a couple of practices, but we
almost at that time where we put those jerseys on,
and they're really cool jerseys too. Yeah, I can't wait
to put the black one on. I'm a big fan. Yeah,
so I'm excited.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
You any team in particular you're looking forward to playing
this year, you know, being around the league and knowing
all the guys.

Speaker 4 (19:33):
Honestly, I've never really like when I looked at schedules
and things like that, I never really looked at it
and being like, oh I want to play that team
more so like who's close to home? So probably Arizona
is the first game that I looked at it and
was like, oh, okay, that's that's a game that a
lot of my family could make. But that's that's kind
I looked at it. But you know, as you get
closer to the games before that, obviously there's people that
you want to play against.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
Right and well in this division, man, you know Commander's
Eagles Cowboys story.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
Yeah, it's a fundament.

Speaker 4 (20:00):
Billy you know, Giants, it's it's a lot of history,
and so you know, I think the NFC West is
the same way. Sure to an extent, more of a
newer age, but I think this division has been a
historical division for a very very long time. So I'm
excited to be a part of it. I've watched a
lot of these games over my.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
Well, it is it is required for you to hate Dallas.
I told coach Quinn that it's like, it's gonna take
a little while to watch that stench off him from Dallas.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
But let's go. He's gonna be Thank you, Bob. I
appreciate it, man, I appreciate you taking the time. It's
no problem, all right. DC's class scrock. It's a big one.
There's Green Day and when I come.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
Around, Green Day is playing tonight tonight. Tonight's in Nad's Park.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
Jolly Joe is here all weekend. Because he was posting
touristy stuff on his INSTAGRAMKA very cool.

Speaker 1 (20:52):
I was talking about the Olympics earlier and I finally
got a schedule, was saying that I had not I
had not seen a ton yet because I just been
crazy busy, and I was like, I need to get
a schedule in front of me so I can see
what I want to watch. There's some good stuff today.
One o'clock Round three of men's surfing. That's gonna be epic.

(21:14):
It looks like beach volleyball. I mean, that's always fun
to watch. Boxing at two o'clock this afternoon. Rugby, the
women's quarter finals today at two field hockey today, some
swimming today.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
Some basketball today. If you're into handball.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
Some of these are like all bess, I'm good on.
I'm good on handball or table tennis badon. I'll tell
you what, though, you take something like table tennis, badminton, handball,
if I start watching it, I'll get hooked.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
I'm in, yeah, Oh, I'm in every time. I'll be one.
All right.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
It is seven forty four quick break here back to
in just a few DC's classic crockets Big one hundred.
D You see his classic rocket, it's big one hundred.
There's Tom Petty free falling. I was just watching this
video of a hot air balloon that had to make
an emergency landing in a neighborhood in Seattle. Forced to
land in the middle of the neighborhood, surprisingly didn't hit anything.

(22:17):
They brought it down in the middle of the street,
came within like ten feet of people's homes, but no
one was hurt. When I was younger, I worked on
a hot air balloon chase crew. That was one of
the coolest jobs ever, despite you know, getting up at
on godly hours in the morning.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
It was pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
Like they basically, you know, it was out in the
mountains and they'd give these hot air balloon rides to tourists,
but they don't always know where it's gonna come down.
It's it's all based on the winds, and they can
you know, go up and down to try to catch winds,
back and forth, but they don't always know where they're
gonna land. And so there's a chase crew. So we

(22:58):
just got we got a truck and radios. It's just
like it's headed here, it's edited here, and we just
basically drove around, you know, to find where it was
going to land and then you know, load everything up,
roll up the balloon.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
It was pretty cool. Man.

Speaker 3 (23:16):
What's the average range on from where it takes off
to where it comes.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
Down, Well, it depends.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
I mean for the tourist, I'm sure they keep it
pretty simple, you know, it would typically come down. What
they would always shoot for was this golf course because
it was a big, wide open space. And you know,
they go up super early in the morning when the
air is just perfect, so like right at sunrise, so
they're coming down at like, you know, six thirty seven am.

(23:41):
And they would usually there were a couple of times
they went into some neighborhoods and into some fields that
was like, oh, that wasn't planned. But for the most
part they would aim for this this golf course because
big wide open space. How do they avoid power lines
and up and down things of that nature. Up and
down they catch the wind. And they tried to explain
it to me one time. You'd have to be a

(24:03):
hot air balloon pilot. But basically, when they get certain elevations,
the wind will be blown in one direction and they
can actually take it, you know, to a higher elevation
and the wind will be blown in the other direction, right,
so they can kind of control by by their elevation,
by how high they go or how low they drop.
And the only thing that was super dangerous, and I

(24:26):
saw it happen one time. They eventually got the guy.
I can't even remember how they got him out of
there was when the balloons would get blown up against
like a mountain side, So they want to stay in
the valley because if they go up over the mountain,
they're going to end up out in a mountain range somewhere, right,
and that's not good, no helping. So there were there

(24:49):
was a time where we saw one that got stuck
basically up against not like hitting the mountain, but it
was stuck on that side of the valley, up against
a mountain and couldn't get, you know, anywhere else. And
I guess that's a big deal because it's like, well,
we'll just go up so you don't hit the mountain.
Yet if they go up and the wind takes them

(25:10):
over that mountain, they're screwed. So a lot of times
they're waiting for the winds to change. It's pretty interesting
man to do it. But that was a fun job
that paid like twenty bucks an hour to chase balloons.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
I loved it. It was a great summertime job, all right.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
Coming up Florida, man, We will also get to sports
on tap with Dennis just around the corner. If you
missed our conversation with Bobby Wagner. We'll have that up
on the podcast. Had a chance to sit down and
chat with him at training camp. We'll have that up
on the podcast after the show today and tomorrow morning.
Zach Ertz will be on the show. You're listening to
DC's ClassicRock. It's a big one hundred.

Speaker 2 (25:48):
DC's Classic Crock. It's a big one hundred. There's Nirvana Man,
come as you are.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
It is time once again for Florida Man, Florida.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
Man, Oh Boy.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
Florida deputies have arrested a man for attempting to perform
a castration inside his home. Deputies were called to seventy
four year old Gary Van Rice's home, located in Seabring, Florida.
When they arrived, he told a deputy he had just

(26:24):
performed a castration on a man and has encountered some
major issues. Deputies found a victim on the bed, bleeding heavily,
with a towel over his groin. Victim was flown to
a nearby hospital and is said to be in stable condition.
During the investigation, deputies found two body parts in a

(26:45):
container presumed to have belonged to the victim.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
Presume this guy had set up a room.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
To look like a surgical center and had medical equipment
and painkillers. A camera was also set up to record
the procedure, and if you're like me, you're just still
scratching your head. He told deputies he had met the
victim on the dark web. It was a website geared
towards people who have a castration fetish? What who has

(27:23):
a castrating fetish? He tried to perform the procedure on
the victim last week, but had to delay it and
it went south when he finally got to it. He
told the victim before he did it that he did
have experience on animals and had even done it to

(27:44):
himself back in twenty twelve. Apparently, this guy's gonna wow
a similar procedure on a man in a local motel
years ago that did not end well as well.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
Any castration and well though.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
He was arrested Monday, Charts with practicing medicine without a license,
which resulted in bodily entry and a second degree felony.
I'm blown away that they're easy. Look, there's a lid
for every pot. I get it. A castration fetish, Jump

(28:24):
on the dark web and find a bunch of people
that are into this. That is just weird. Man, that
is really really weird. The good news is it appears
the man is in stable condition and all right, he's
missing some parts, but he will survive.

Speaker 3 (28:40):
I don't think stable is under any word used ever
to describe that gentleman.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
It is a twenty seven. It's DC's classic crack, Big
one hundred. DC's class crack is big one hundred.

Speaker 2 (28:52):
Switch out the mind god zund Roses. I was camp
last week. It was great. It was nice you were
out there once.

Speaker 5 (29:01):
And I'm happy to report that Jub out there for Friday,
ready to do tons of interviews and shake hands and
watch practice.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
I will be out there the whole day. Well, I
will do whatever it is I decided.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
I love how Dennis is always like, so, I'm I've
got you doing this, and I got you doing that.

Speaker 5 (29:16):
I'm like, hold up, hold up, yeah, you know, if
it wasn't for me, you'd have your head up your
rs the entire time.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
That's all I got to say about that. What is this?
What are we doing here? You're lucky. I schedule you, huh.
I take good care of you. I need a gift card.
Have you watched any Olympics. No, but I'm about to
kick you out of my studio. Oh wait a minute,
this is our studio. It's my time.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
So what happened this guy who blew this guy's ego up?

Speaker 2 (29:49):
What happened over the weekend? Did I miss something? Did
you get promoted? Happened? Ego? What happened? Did I miss something?
I have not watched any Olympics yet, but oh my god,
Americans dominating so far? Day is my day.

Speaker 1 (30:04):
I was watching some jiu jitsu, which is right up
your ally now. It was judo, by the way, let's
get your story strip. There is no jiu jitsu in
the Olympics. That looked Why not, by the way, because
there's not. I don't know why judo looks tough.

Speaker 5 (30:18):
I saw, though, one lady from Japan, who apparently is
one of the best in the world. She lost for
the first time ever and had a meltdown of epic proportions,
screaming and holding her coach that losing it was weird.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
Well, dude, if you spend your the girl's probably been
training judo since she was fine. I don't know it was.

Speaker 5 (30:39):
It was Listen, this one thing about losing and being
disappointed in me.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
She was screaming at the top of her lungs. It
was odd.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
You dedicated, you dedicate your whole life to something and
then it doesn't go.

Speaker 5 (30:51):
The show, beside the women sevens rugby, which is fun
to watch in the swimmers, is uh Snoop dog his cover.

Speaker 4 (31:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
I love the fact that the torch they gave Snoop
Dogg to carry looks.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
Like a giant joint, very appropriately. I feel like that's
intentional because I was looking at pictures of it this morning.
I hope he's been high every day. Of course he has.

Speaker 5 (31:14):
He was on with Tariico the other night they're just
talking sports, and he was just he's a national treasure.

Speaker 2 (31:19):
He was great. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (31:21):
He went from you know, putting a cap and people
back in the day to well, I don't want to
go down that right, I can't, then to rap it
about it, and then became friends with Martha Stewart and
now he's a national treasure. I love Snoop Dogg. He
is absolutely one of my favorite people. He's a great
American story. He's fantastic, he got incredible career.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
He gets it.

Speaker 5 (31:43):
You know who else gets a flavor flave is is.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (31:46):
Yeah, he sponsored one of the women's teams. He needed
some money. Yeah, so he's over there doing stuff now too.
It's just wonderful, you know. I saw a video.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
On him too.

Speaker 5 (31:55):
They were just kind of chronicling his career and he
was out hanging out with people basically trained the piano.
Who Yeah, it was it was unreal that. Anyways, it's
been a lot of fun to watch the Olympics so far.
Lots to go another couple of weeks of it. Did
you watch your opening ceremonies at least I watched a
little bit of that. Yeah, And today I'm going to
watch some surfing. I think that's on it.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
Like one, they're in a Fiji right, there's somewhere around there.
And then rugby is on this afternoon. Yeah, rugby has
been fun to watch. And what else? There was something
else on.

Speaker 5 (32:29):
The American women are unbelievable by the way. Oh yeah,
so Lona mar watch her. Yeah, he's also a TikTok
star t well. I follow her on Instagram. She's like awesome.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
She is awesome.

Speaker 5 (32:40):
So we've been doing well in swimming and uh a
few other sports. But it's just fun to watch, like
field hockey, then surfing into sports you normally wouldn't watch,
like table tennis, sale, table tennis, handball, Yeah, handball.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
I know it's bizarre, isn't it. Admitton. Yeah, I was
telling Crash earlier. We were saying that although if you
start watching this, if you go I'm not watching handball,
I'm not watching table tennis, you start watching it, You'll
watch it through the entire Olympics.

Speaker 2 (33:06):
It's true. You'll get hooked. It's true.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
You're like, well, no, you I just didn't know the intricacy,
so I didn't realize the strategy they went into winning
table tennis.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
Well, it's wild, it's good. I love it. Man, all right,
what else is going on? Well, just commanders.

Speaker 5 (33:21):
Uh, we've got uh, let's see, we are on day
are we on day four?

Speaker 2 (33:26):
Day four?

Speaker 5 (33:26):
I believe of camp and uh yeah, camp all weekday four? Yeah,
and then uh when we're out there on Friday obviously. Well,
by the way, the interviews have been fantastic. You've uh
did you we got Bobby Wagner?

Speaker 1 (33:39):
Right, thanks for listening. Yeah, well appreciate it. Yes, I
did have Bobby Wagner today.

Speaker 2 (33:44):
Yeah. Well I listened when I should listen. It's the point. Yeah,
and tomorrow I'm gonna chat with the zach Ertz.

Speaker 5 (33:52):
Love it good And we had Quinn on and those
are up on all social media. But Bobby was great,
wasn't he. Bobby is Uh, Bobby's a legend, dude. Bobby's
could go down as one of the greatest linebackers. I'd
put him in the top twenty fives. Going to be Yeah,
he's gonna be fun to watch this year. Yeah, linebackers
sow some left in the tank, just sure.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
Sure. Zach by the way, looked in really good shape.
Well you know he's coming off. He's healthy. He is healthy. Yeah,
healthy the first time in a while, right.

Speaker 1 (34:21):
And I think that's going to make all the difference
in the world because when that guy's healthy, he's clutch
in the red zone, clutch telling you. So, he's going
to be a great addition to the team. By the way,
a lot of great additions.

Speaker 5 (34:32):
Military Appreciation Day today and practices from about nine to
ten thirty or eleven, So the fans are out again,
big crowd over the weekend. By the way, their first
day was yesterday and there's only select days that you
can go out there. We'll keep on talking about that
when you can and cannot go out there. But we
will be out there on Friday having a lot of
fun and it should be a good time. But and
then our first preseason game is right on the corner

(34:53):
on the tenth at the Jets.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
Holy crap.

Speaker 5 (34:56):
It is, by the way, it's August. What in a
couple of days? Holy crap? You know, like next week
jumping up on us. It's a week from Saturday. Week
from Saturday, Holy crap.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
I know.

Speaker 5 (35:07):
Why do we see Aaron Rodgers get into it on
the sidelines with one of his receivers. No I didn't, Yeah,
please do? Him and Wilson were yelling at each other.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
I saw the funniest video and it was like it
was a highlight reel.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
Rogers year last year. I saw that one. Did you see?

Speaker 1 (35:25):
That was fantastic, complete highlight reel of Aaron Rodgers. Showed
him carrying out the flag or whatever it was. Yeah,
and then it showed him take the first snap and
fall down.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
It's like the end. It was such a disappointment too.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
The whole thing was I felt so bad the national
TV that I know, and I felt so bad for
him because I was really, actually pretty excited to watch
Aaron Rodgers play with a new team, and I was like, well,
this will make it fun to watch the Jets.

Speaker 2 (35:49):
Gas and first snap. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (35:52):
Well, you and I talked about this week. You know,
we watched Chart Knocks too. That got us all kind
of lit ready to go. Yeah, and then the first
couple of plays and.

Speaker 2 (35:59):
Done, Oh boy, well there's this year. Yeah, keep your fingerscrossed.
Floaded for Bear though he's arguing with teammates already said good,
then he's good to go. All right, thank you, you guys
have a good one.

Speaker 1 (36:09):

hundred four and three one double o three?

Speaker 2 (36:18):
What do we got?

Speaker 3 (36:19):
You talked about a summer job you once had chasing something? Yeah,
what was Jackson chasing prostitutesizac.
