Speaker 1 (00:01):
In its earliest days, the major function of radio was news.
Going on here, beautiful, let everybody go. Why don't you
put on a show and charge admission? Okay, show, I
(00:23):
would say something, wouldn't use it. I'm comedy.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
It will be a show for everyone who loves music
and murder.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Come on, Chuck, we gotta take show to dude. Showtime.
Are you ready? I'm ready to your baby job and
good morning, six oh five.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
It's DC's classic crock Big one hundred checks and here,
how are you? It kind of feels like a Monday.
I know it's Tuesday. It kind of feels like a Monday.
I'm slow to get moving this morning. Need some more coffee.
We're gonna chat with the Manuel Forbes coming up this
morning about to seven to ten ish.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
Somewhere in there.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
I had to chat with him out at training camp,
so we'll play that back for you a little bit
later this morning. Plus Deep Purple tickets again today, and
we'll continue with the big word of the week. Another
letter coming your way at about seven twenty this morning,
and that is going to be good for Pearl Jam
tickets at.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
The end of this week, which is pretty sweet, all right.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
Florida Man. Things I Know coming up before seven Sports
on Tap and more. Six oh six DC's Class Crocket's
Big one hundred DC's Class Crockets Big one hundred carry
On Wayward Sun, Kansas. Simone, she may be the greatest ever.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
I'd love. They asked her if she if she's.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
Going to come back and compete again in the Olympics
down the road, and she said, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
I'm getting really.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
Old, dude, she would be I guess for the Olympics.
She would be thirty one at the next Olympics. And
she says, never say never, but I'm getting really old.
So at what twenty seven, twenty eight years old, she's
claiming she's getting really old?
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Wow? Uh so she added well.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Team USA added eight medals yesterday and is still tied
with China Golds with twenty one each. Simone Biles wrapped
up her twenty twenty four Olympics and maybe her career.
We'll see what happens with a silver medal in women's
floor and Team USA aided a Valerie Almon. Yeah, that's
the one she won. She won her second gold in
(02:36):
the row with women's discus. That's one I don't really
watch You ever watched the discus or the shot put
a little bit? China took silver in that one. I
kind of want to go back and watch it.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
I want to see the size of the women in
China throwing the discus.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
We also won silver medals and men's Paul vote. Here's
the thing, man, Sometimes I realized there's a lot of
sports in the Olympics that I'm not even familiar with
that I've never seen. Maybe they just don't come on TV.
When I'm watching mixed skeet shooting, I don't think I've
ever seen that. But we want a silver medal in
mixed skeet shooting and the mixed triathlon relay.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
I didn't even know that existed.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
Looks like women's three on three basketball one of bronze
and Simone could have medaled in the balance beam, but
apparently she fell during her routine, so that's a wrap
for her Olympics. Her eleven career medals would leave her
tide for second most all time among a female gymnast,
(03:39):
and Caroline Marx took home gold for timuosa and women's surfing.
That's Manhelden Tihiti that took place last night last night,
at our time, you can track the medal count in
real time at Olympics dot com.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
Things I know coming up here in just a bit.
Speaker 3 (03:54):
Plus, we're gonna get to a little chat with Emmanuel
Forbes from training camp right here on DC's Classic Rockets
Big one hundred, DC's Class Crocket's Big one hundred.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
Wanta dead or alive? Is man Jovis Jackson here?
Speaker 3 (04:05):
Good, good morning, Like seventy seven degrees out there, and
it's gonna be a hot one again today about ninety
five ninety six degrees. Yach, it is gonna cool down.
That's the upside. Downside is it looks like rain for
the next three or four days, So that's why it's
cooling down at his time once again, for things I know,
(04:28):
that's six forty one. If you know about forty percent
of people never had a nose bleed, never had a nosebleed.
I don't think I have never been punched in the face. Well,
I mean a natural nose bleed, never been punched in
the face.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
And it shows no a nosebleed will get you the
most attention for the least amount of effort.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
To there's a wow, that wow I can't imagine, like
just you know, random nosebleeds that you got when you
were a kid or whatever.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Maybe the air was dry. Huh. Close to half of
people have never had it.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
Usain Bolt's world record in the one hundred meter sprint
has stood for fifteen years, which is longer than anyone
has ever held the record in history. Pretty flipping amazing.
I wonder how long Carl Lewis held it. He held
it for quite some time too. About forty percent of
those people that have never had a nosebleed, I think
(05:25):
there's something weird about him. I'm still not believing that.
I feel like everybody's having a nose me was that
even possible?
Speaker 1 (05:34):
I'm gonna dig deeper into that one.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
There are one hundred There are one hundred and twelve
world capitals with larger populations than Washington, d C. The
first pass Brett Farve ever completed in the NFL was
to himself. The pass was tipped by a defensive lineman
and then Brett caught it.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
He lost seven yards on the play, but it's pretty.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
Cool to go down in the record books as your
first NFL pass ever, it was to yourself. I like
it and That's what I got for you this morning,
six forty three. Stick around. We'll chat with Emmanuel Forbes.
Had a conversation with him out of training camp last week,
and we'll play that back for you. Coming up just
the right side of seven o'clock this morning. A little
bit later this morning, Florida Man Sports on Tap Plus.
(06:24):
We're giving away tickets again today for Deep Purple and
coming up about seven twenty a new letter for the
Big Word of the week and your chance to win
Pearl Jam tickets this week on DC's Class Crock.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
It's a big one hundred. DC's Class Crock is big
one hundred.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
It's Big Floyd and another brick in the wall. Jackson here,
Good morning, seven oh two. Me another hot one today?
Speaker 1 (06:44):
How about ninety six degrees? Feels like temp over one
hundred in some places.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
We had a chat with Emmanuel Forbes aut it to
training camp last week, and we're going to play that
back for you.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
It's right here on DC's Class Crock Big one.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
Hun Manuel Forbes Junior joint us at the broadcast table. Welcome,
my friend, Thanks for something I appreciated.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Man. Yeah, So, how's how's practice today?
Speaker 4 (07:08):
That was a hot one.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
It did not look pleasant.
Speaker 4 (07:10):
It was a good one, but it was a hot one.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
Yeah, you actually look like you're a pretty good shape
after practicing out there.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
I just saw Sam Cosmi and.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
He looked like he was like, I got to run
a lot.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
So yeah yeah yeah, uh it looks like you put
on a few pounds over the off season.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
Yeah yeah I did.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
Did you shoot up and wait like I did? Fifteen
twenty pounds? Yeah a lot. That's great.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
Yeah, yeah, it's got to be some of those bigger
receivers I would assume as a cornerback, it gets pretty physical, right,
and when you're trying to cover a guy like AJ Brown, right,
like the guy's absolute monster.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
So's you gotta are they just trying to push off you?
Or are they trying to.
Speaker 5 (07:45):
Oh you know, they can't get open regulars, so I
got to find another, yeah, to try to get open,
and that's by pushing off for using the rules against them.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
But yeah, yeah, so, uh tell me what you think
of this new defense.
Speaker 5 (07:55):
I love the defense is you know, were able to
put the ball and play uh huh, make a make
it crazy for the quarterback.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
So yeah, yeah, yeah, a lot different, a lot different.
From last year. Yeah, because that last year was tough. Man,
it was.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
I will say mad respect to you because last year
was an up and down season. It was an up
and down season for the whole team, but you handled
it like a total pro, like an absolute professional. And
we're really looking forward to to seeing you play this
year because look, I watched you playing college. Yeah, and
we're going to see that again.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
I know, definitely.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
I just I think you just had to get the
right scheme, the right defense, the right coaches, uh, and
makes some magic happen.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Now. So coach Wit does he make you want to
run through a brick wall?
Speaker 3 (08:36):
Because dude, I talk to that guy for five minutes
and I want to I want to run through a
brick Yeah.
Speaker 5 (08:39):
Coach wit is he's serious and he screates at a point,
so he lets you know how it is. Yeah, I'll
tell you how you plan and how you if you're
doing good, if you're doing bad. But he's I really
appreciate that. You know, you need that hard coaching and
it helps out a lot.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
If you're a bit of a like, say, goals oriented guy,
what what what are you looking to do in this league?
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Obviously you know second year, Like, what are your goals?
What do you want? Where do you see yourself ten
years down the road from now?
Speaker 5 (09:02):
Definitely want to play in the lead long as I can. Yeah,
you know, I want to be all pro, you know,
lead the team. Win one game first off. That's the
main thing without winning games is I can't do nothing
good honestly, So that's the first thing, and just do
the best teammate and player I can be for the thing.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
Yeah, I'm sure you've been asked this question in a
thousand times because we're asking everybody a thousand times?
Speaker 1 (09:22):
What do you think of Jayden and Daniels thick? Good guy,
he's got skills.
Speaker 4 (09:25):
Jay one of my good friends.
Speaker 5 (09:26):
Yeah, we joke around all day, but he's a he's
a great player and he's a great guy.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
Yeah, we've obviously we're just seeing the highlights stuff that
the commanders are putting up on socials.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
But I've seen him throw some beautiful balls.
Speaker 5 (09:36):
He definitely threw some great balls that you know be
good coverage honestly, So.
Speaker 4 (09:41):
Yeah, yeah, he could spend it.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Yeah, So in practice, who's the toughest guy on your
team to cover?
Speaker 5 (09:47):
Oh, that's a whole group of them guys, that's pretty good,
you know, to do their job Terry Dayummy, John. All
those guys are good, you know they and we're getting
each other better each and every day.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
So yeah, yeah, that's awesome. What do you I think
the season is going to look like?
Speaker 3 (10:01):
I mean, obviously, you know we can't ask it to
predict wins or anything like that, but you know, the
vibe in the air and and the fact that there's
a positive attitude down it seems like you guys are
really building a team and we all know it's going
to be the start to something big.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
Like what do you what do you think this season's
gonna look like?
Speaker 5 (10:19):
I can say that you're going to see a bunch
of men going out there ready to play and ready
to compete each and every week and hopefully win a
lot of games.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
Yeah, that's that's what we're looking for. Man, be fantastic.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
Like I said, I really think no matter what happens
this season, we can all see it's the beginning of
something big, right, and you're you're right on the front
end of it because you know you're still super young
and you know, got a huge career ahead of you.
What do you think of some of these guys they
brought in some of these like vets like Bobby Wagner
or zach Ertz or.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
You know, those guys are natural leader.
Speaker 5 (10:52):
Just yeah, because they've got a lot of experience in
the NFL. So they they lead the younger guys and
just help help out. They you know, they still Jill
Ground a lot, but they some good players.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
The good guy. Yeah, So when you were a rookie,
is there a bit of hazen? Do they give the
rookies a hard time? No?
Speaker 5 (11:08):
Not honestly, besides caring the past, what's up that? Yeah,
it wasn't nothing great.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
I was talking to some old guys, uh kind of
maybe a couple of months ago was a little you know,
former Redskins and they was they were talking, Yeah, I
used to make that guy carrying my pats. I used
to make this guy carrying my bag. And I'm like,
I bet it goes deeper than that. I bet you
guys messed with each other a little more than that.
Speaker 5 (11:26):
You know, I'm a year or two guy. I messed
around with the rookies now. But yeah, nothing crazy. So
who's your favorite draft pick? Like a favorite that they
brought in just got mad potential. I will say I
want to just point out one specific guy, but it's
as a group of those guys that are really good
like Jaden Mikey, Yeah, a couple of safety that's really good.
(11:49):
I'm backers, yeah yeah, so and and Louke looks pretty
I was just gonna say, as uh, as a guy
that the covers, what how's how's Luke look out there?
Speaker 4 (11:56):
Because look, look, look Luke.
Speaker 5 (11:58):
Looks pretty good, and he's got some work to do,
but he's coming along really well, and he's taking on
a terry. So Terry helping him out of the line,
helping him out.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
You can't you couldn't ask for a better mentor Terry McLaurin.
Yeah right, that's fantastic.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
Well, look, man, I appreciate you stopping by. I hope
you have a great season. Let me ask you one
last question. If you weren't playing professional football, what would
you be doing?
Speaker 4 (12:20):
I will probably be trying to play professional baseball?
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Yeah all right, all right, so sports sports sports, Yeah, yeah,
very cool.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
I asked Jonathan Allen that question and he said he
was he would have joined the military and I'm not.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
Baseball. Did you play baseball? Yeah? And what made you
pick football over baseball?
Speaker 4 (12:40):
To my U c L year high school. Right, wasn't
able to play in college.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
It's so funny.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
I saw I saw video the other day speaking of
guys that like switched sports.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
Have you ever seen video of Allen Iverson playing football? Oh?
Speaker 4 (12:55):
Yeah, I have, Holy crap kickoff return he.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Was, Yeah, dude, he could have been a sick football player.
You and he said in the beginning like he was like,
I didn't like basketball. If that sucked, I wanted to
play football. It's crazy it all turned around. Yeah, well,
I appreciate it, man, Thank you so much for stopping
Buy it all right. That is Emmanuel Forbes.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
Junior Latest and Gentlemen right here on DC's Class Crocket's
Big one hundred.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
DC's Class Crocket is big one hundred.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
There's heart, It's i's seven twenty two coming up this morning.
Florida man, Florida man, This morning is another food assault.
I know what it is in Florida. People get into
these domestic disputes and attack each other with food.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
But there's another one sports on tap.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
And we're gonna give you a letter here in just
a sec for the big word of the week, and
that's gonna be your chance to win Pearl Jam tickets
at the end of this week later this morning, and
have a chance for you to win deep Purple tickets.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
They say there's a buzz you get when you find
a deal. Who studies this stuff.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
There's a new report out that says people will actually
get a high rush of endorphins when they find a
deal on something, they find a bargain, and that that
rush will last up to two hundred and sixteen minutes.
I getting maybe a little. I was pretty stoked yesterday
until I got home. I found a deal on a
(14:13):
pair of sneaks that I wanted, and I was like this,
This price can't be right. This can't be right, not
for these shoes. Like screw, I'm gonna take them out
to the counter and see what happens. Right, So I
take them up, buy them, They sell them to me
for that price. I'm like, sweet, the best mood ever.
(14:35):
Go home, still on the best mood ever. About an
hour later, let me try these things on. I mean,
I'd already tried one of them on at the store,
make sure it fit.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
But let me put these on. Open the box. I
got two right, shoes a bit.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
Like, you gotta be kidding me, and let me explain
how that happened and why I didn't catch it.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
It's a certain Nike.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
I'd have to look up the name of it because
I can't recall off the top of my head, but
it was. It was a model they put out that
where one was white and one was red. So they're
two different colored shoes, and I always thought they were cool,
but I'm like, I don't know if I like the
two different colors. And then I found a box and
it was that shoe, but it was in just one
color and both.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
Of them, so it's like, oh, they do sell this
in just one color? And then I saw the price
and then I was like cool, sweet, yeah, yeah, no
they don't.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
I got it home and it was two red shoes.
So I got to take those back today. So much
for that bargain.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
Hi, how long did that bargain high last year? A
couple hours? A couple hours.
Speaker 3 (15:42):
I was in pretty good mood. I was like, man,
I still can't I remember. I was even talking to
my son. I was like, yo, I send him a picture.
I was like, can you believe I got these for
this price? It's like get out of here. I'm like, yeah,
I didn't.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
I got two red shoes.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Oh well, maybe i'll maybe I'll figure it out today.
Maybe we'll still I don't know what's gonna happen. It
is seven twenty five. Let's give him a letter for
the big word of the week.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
The big word of the week on Big one hundred.
Today's letter is the letter E.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
As an equal. The letter E is an equestrian, the
letter E. At the end of the week, it's gonna
spell a word right about this time on Friday morning.
And when we complete that word, all you have to
do is give us ring one eight hundred four and
nine three one double O three and we will set
somebody up with Pearl Jam tickets. It is DC's Klassicroc
Big one hundred. DC's Klassic Rock is Big one hundred,
(16:34):
seven thirty nine. Whitesnake Jackson here, I got some gossip.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
What you got?
Speaker 3 (16:39):
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. Of course they're splitting up, right,
are they divorcing? Because the FBI showed Ben Affleck videos
of j LO doing freaky things after they rated Ditty's House.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
That's which that's what should Knight says it happened about
the same time.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
This is an interesting theory, but it comes from a
dubious source. Death Row Records founders should Knight on his podcast, which,
by the way, he hosts from prison where he's serving
twenty eight years for manslaughter.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
He's hosting a his podcast from prison. Shug suggested that
he knows why Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez broke up.
He says the FBI showed Ben incriminating materials they picked
up when they raided Ditty's house. J Loo dated Diddy
back in early he was like two thousand and two
thousand and one, and if Diddy really is into all
(17:38):
the freaky stuff the FEDS he investigating him for, maybe
Jennifer Lopez was into some freaky stuff with him. She's
coming from Sug Night is coming from Shug.
Speaker 3 (17:48):
Shug says, quote they go rate Puffy's house and they
get all these videos of j LO doing this and
j LO doing that. He thinks they tipped Ben off,
that j Loo lied about it or led about a
ninety nine nightclub shooting where raptors Shine went to prison.
Even though I can't keep up with all this stuff, man,
Sug and Shine and Diddy, And so why would federal
(18:12):
agents go out of the way to contact Ben because, quote,
it's a white man who got respect in the white world.
I'm quite sure they said, we want to show you
some things about your wife. That's from Sug. That's from
Sug in his podcast, from a reliable source from prison.
So if you're into the gossip and the drama, that
(18:34):
could be it. Man, it could be Jello's a freak.
And there's proof seven it is. It's your entertainment news
for today. DC's Classic Crocket's a big one hundred. DC's
Classic Crocket's a big one hundred. I don't know what
to think about this, lady. I just found a nurse
on TikTok telling me I shouldn't set multiple alarms.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
It's bad for my health. She's got a point. She's like,
don't come at me.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
But if you're a snoozer somebody who had snooze a
few times, or if you set like multiple alarms.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
I do that just as a backup.
Speaker 3 (19:06):
It's like, you know, I have been known to sleep
through an alarm or or roll over and shut it
off in my sleep, and so I was typically will
set a backup for like fifteen minutes later. But she's saying,
don't do this. Apparently, every time the alarm goes off
in the morning kind of puts you into fight her
flight mode and raises your quarters all levels.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
And so she says, if you could, if you do
that several times throughout the course of a morning, raise
your quarters all levels, you know, every fifteen minutes or
every eight minutes or ever longer snooze is for it's
bad for you, bad for you.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
She's not saying, though, not to set different alarms though, right,
She's just saying not to snooze.
Speaker 3 (19:46):
She's like, yeah, I think it's more like setting you know,
more like having multiple alarms go off throughout the course
of a morning. Right, So for me, I'm still going
to try to get up on that first one.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
So well, I have to back up set just in case, Yes,
just a case.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
But if I'm doing the thing I think the point is,
if I'm doing the thing where I go up on
the way from a backup to go off, then I'm
doing basically like a snooze, yeah, which is bad.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
Don't do that.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
I used to have this suite mate in college, and
so he lived in the room next to next to mine.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
Yeah, and.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
His he would have multiple alarms and he would sleep
through all of that for hours.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
When I was younger, I could. I had one of those,
like I'm talking like college age. I had the clock
radios because it was the only thing that would wake
me up was to put it on a radio station
and turn it full blast.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
So it's like it's like the most terrifying, annoying sound
you would ever hear in your.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
Life, that big brown clock radio that the numbers that
would flip over, and I would.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Still still sleep through it.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
I could be asleep for twenty minutes with that thing
full blast.
Speaker 1 (20:59):
It would just go into my dreams. He's like, I
can't do that now, man, Dude, drop a pen and
I'll wake up now. But all right, it's eight o seven, Florida.
Speaker 3 (21:09):
Man coming up, Sports on Tap, coming up, Deep Purple Tickets,
coming up, DC's Classic Rockets, Big one hundred, DC's Classic Rockets,
Big one hundred. There's Van Halen and Panama Jackson here.
Good morning, a twenty Dennis coming up with Sports on
Tap and just a bit here. I also give away
some Deep Purple tickets this morning before nine o'clock in
the big commercial free hour Todd once again for Florida man,
(21:33):
Florida man, you know we've got ourselves another food assaults
in Florida.
Speaker 1 (21:43):
I don't know why you'd get angry about this, but
apparently a guy got mad at his girlfriend because for
his birthday she bought him McDonald's and Taco Bell. Yes,
maybe he wanted something a little more than fast food.
I don't know. Thirty four year old woman in Florida.
Her name is doctor Isha Persad. She's a dentist.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
She was arrested on Saturday, so she got into a
food related altercation with her husband. Oh, it was actually
her husband, not her boyfriend. According to the police report,
she had purchased her husband Taco Bell and McDonald's for
his birthday. He was upset about that for whatever reason,
and they started arguing. She claims he threw one of
(22:29):
the paper bags at her, so she responded by assaulting
him with a tortilla from a soft taco.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
Hit him right in the face and it was somehow
still there when the officer showed up on his face.
I tested what it says. When I arrived, the burrito
was still on the victim's face. That's the police report.
When I arrived, the burrito was still on the victim's face.
(22:57):
They arrested her. No one was seriously injured. I have
a couple of questions here.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
They rested her for misdemeanor domestic battery. First off, who
calls the cops and says someone threw a tortilla at me.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
Unless on your face, especially.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
Let's just assume maybe it would got really loud in.
One of the neighbors called the cops. Right, don't even
let that one fly. What cop arrests somebody for throwing
a tortilla?
Speaker 1 (23:23):
Somebody? You're really gonna put that prison in cuffs and go, dude,
you're you're fine. You got a little burrito on your face,
but you're gonna be all right.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
You're gonna be okay. Do you really want me to
take your wife to jail? Seriously, I don't know. Only
in Florida.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (23:38):
Eight twenty three DC's Classic Crackets, Big.
Speaker 3 (23:40):
One hundred, DC's Class Crackets Big one hundred is bon
Jovi and Ya give a Bad Name.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
Eight thirty six. Good morning, How are you, Dennis? Good morning? Guys?
Doing well?
Speaker 6 (23:52):
You and I should have a podcast with a crash
about things we say in conversations off the air.
Speaker 1 (23:58):
That's how that's always the best. That's the podcast. I
used to roll tape. Will it be able to air though? Anywhere?
That podcast? That's funny. I used to actually do that.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
I used to roll just let tape roll when I
was in the studio my last station with my old
producer and and she was she was. She was foul
like that girl would say some.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
Stop wrong for you to say that, folks. Jackson. She
was very rares as foul as they get. She was racy.
Speaker 3 (24:23):
She would say some really controversial so hey, do you
blink your eyes a little bit? And then uh ashes
sometimes play them back and go and you want to
hear behind the scenes. They are the most fun. She
listens are missing out on the real Jackson, Folks. She
was able to make me blush. To make me blush
takes a bit.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
I've got some.
Speaker 6 (24:42):
Uh some news about the NFL and Brendan AYUK wide
receiver San Francisco, and I've been talking about this for
a couple of weeks in San Francisco. Well not stand by, Okay,
there's there's something bubbling up there now to give everybody context.
Brendan Ayuk and Jayden Daniels played at a su together
for at least a season, so they're friends. Now, Brandon
(25:04):
Iuk is coming into a contract year and he has
demanded the forty nine ers pay him top ten wide
receiver money.
Speaker 1 (25:11):
I don't necessarily have a problem with that.
Speaker 6 (25:12):
I don't know if he's a top ten wide receiver,
but he is as sending as one of the better
wide receivers in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
Okay, so well that said.
Speaker 6 (25:21):
About a month ago, we saw a social media post
where Jayden was watching a FaceTime with brand and Ioke
talking with each other about I want out of San Francisco,
which flamed the fires. So San Francisco is in a
bit of a dilemma because they're in that Goldie log
zone right now. They are Super Bowl contenders, and they
need every great player that they can because that's gonna
(25:41):
come to a crashing hole in about a year or
two because they're gonna have to pay Rock Purty among
other guys. So there had been a rumor about io
getting traded either to Commanders or another team. Now would
be lofty because what you have to do is give
up draft picks probably some big ones, and then pay
brandan Ouk a lot of money.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
Commanders still have quite a bit of money, though, don't.
Speaker 6 (26:02):
They They do. But here's what you and I were
hypothesizing now. I think this is a great test for
Adam Peters, who, by the way, had been in San
Francisco the last several years with Brendan Shanahan and John Lynch, right,
so he knows those players and that organization really well.
While the Commanders could use another top flight wide receiver,
you and I can.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
Agree with that, right, they could use that.
Speaker 6 (26:21):
Sure, the Commanders are not a Super Bowl contender today,
all right. They might be in a couple of years.
I don't know, all right, but they are ascending as well.
But with the salary cap that they have, the draft
capital that they have, I think this is a good
move by GM Adam Peters not to make a move
right now, because if you bring ayugon now, you still
(26:41):
need to fill a lot of other holes, including that
offensive line and a lot of other areas. So while
I would love another weapon on this team, doing it
right now doesn't make a lot of sense for me.
And giving up the farm for one of the top
ten wide receivers. Even though it would make Jayden Daniels
and the team that much better, that doesn't mean they're
going to make a postseason.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
Because Brent Nyuk is on this squad. Do you see
where I'm going? How many years would they get?
Speaker 6 (27:05):
He'd probably signed a four or five year deal at
about thirty million a year. Well, no, no, I and
I get that part too, that in the next couple
of years. But I just think right now the biggest
hole is offensive line, sure, and then maybe the defensive line,
and then maybe even linebacker. There's a lot of holes
on this team. Stall Oline, I think would be my
first priority to get a left tackle and get somebody
(27:27):
good on there.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
If Sam Cosmi gets any bigger, yeah, he's gonna play
two positions.
Speaker 6 (27:31):
Well right, and he's a guard right now, it'd be
half the line. Yeah, a tremendously huge man. But I
just think there are are are more. There's bigger fish
to fry for Adam Peters and the Commanders. They're bringing
an Ayuk on right now. So with that said, the
Patriots and the Cleveland Browns apparently are in the running
to get Ayuk in the next day or two for
a trade and San Francisco is gonna get a lot.
(27:53):
I'm really stunned though, And there's something something's happening behind
the scenes that Auk is not getting along with anybody
because either San Francisco doesn't want to pay him or
there's something else. We don't know what's going on. But
they've got a plethoro of receivers. They even drafted a
wide receiver early San Francisco did, so they're plentiful in
the wide receiver. But getting rid of him, I don't
know if it would hurt their Super Bowl chances. He's
(28:15):
really good, so they're in kind of a dilemma. They
need to get a lot for him. As my point
is he in a like a bad spot right there.
Might he might be, He might be.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
You know.
Speaker 3 (28:22):
It's just reminded me of the whole Chase Young thing. Yeah,
I just felt like towards the end, Chase Young was
just like just didn't want to be.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
Here mailing it in well. Listen.
Speaker 6 (28:31):
Chase also had this against him, is that he didn't
play either the run really well or the past I
can't remember which one it was, but he didn't play
He like he took off place.
Speaker 3 (28:40):
That's the worst thing. I think you can accuse a
player of so bingo. Yeah, I think we talked about
this last year. I came in and I asked you.
I said, is it just me?
Speaker 1 (28:48):
And it's possible I'm just watching it wrongmember tell me this,
But I'm like, I feel like there are plays that
Chase Young just takes off like he's just you.
Speaker 3 (28:58):
You were correct, he didn't and he did like he
was standing around. I'm like, what the hell, dude. And
by the way, he went to San Francisco. He's now
in Atlanta, I believe is he really? Yeah, he didn't
had another team.
Speaker 6 (29:08):
Now, I didn't know that, and he signed a decent
deal by the way, number one draft choice with all
the tools. But you just can't take off downs in
the NFL now, And I don't care who you are,
I'm still not one hundred percent convinced that's what was happening.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
That's just what it looked like.
Speaker 3 (29:22):
Well that's why I came in lit you weren't the
only one and asked you about it, because I was like,
am I the only one seeing this? So once again,
I think this is a good move by Adam Peters.
His first test was a draft and I think he
came through with flying colors. This is a test not
to get jumpy and pick somebody who he knows would
add to the team. But you know, as far as
I'm concerned, the only the only player on a squad
in the NFL today. That makes a difference where you
(29:43):
can be not a playoff team and then a playoff
team is quarterback.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
Sure.
Speaker 6 (29:47):
I don't think there's any other position that will vault
you into the playoffs because you're just that one guy. Right,
So I'd like that he's standing pad on this.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
Listen.
Speaker 6 (29:55):
If I who comes here, fine, but I just like
Peters standing on this and say, listen, we have something
that we're building on. I'm not going to jump at
the first great free agent and put him on the squad.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
That's all. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (30:08):
By the way, last day for fans today, Yep, they're
in pads today. And then we over first came at
the Jets right here in Big one hundred and the
iron half kickoff is at twelve. Pregame at ten am,
So looking forward to We've got a new pregame host
and Michael Jenkins excited about that. Our post game is
going to be at the Craft House, We're going to
be there all year long. Scott Jackson and Fred Smoot
(30:29):
that's the one in resting. That's going to be a
lot of fun. So looking forward to seeing Aaron probably
play for maybe a quarter hopefully, I don't know. But
Jayden Daniels will get reps on Saturday, which is very exciting.
Speaker 3 (30:39):
Think we may see maybe as much as a quarter
out of them. We'll see what happens.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
Fine by me, let's get him in.
Speaker 3 (30:44):
Thank you guys, all right, give away some tickets for
Deep Purple. What have we learned on the show today?
Speaker 1 (30:49):
What do we ast?
Speaker 2 (30:50):
Jackson thought he got a great deal on a pair
of sneakers, but there turned.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
Out to be a problem. Yes, what was it? One
eight hundred four nine three one three. Good luck from
Big one hundred.
Speaker 3 (31:00):

going out to Dave and Ashburn scored tickets for Deep Purple.
Speaker 1 (31:07):
