Corinthians thirteen and verse five. Examineyourselves whether you be in the faith,

we conduct our lives. You know. Second Pristians, Chapter thirteen, verse
five says, examine yourselves whether youbegin the face, prove your old selves?

Know you not your old selves?How that Christ is in you?
Except you be reprevations. You know, I had to look up that word
again what reservation means. It meansin some instances it means a depraved on
principle in person, but I lookat it more room about morals. We

just don't care how we how weconduct our lives, but us as Christians
on the first day to make examineour salves. Brother, were worthy too
of this thing that sets before us, the body and blood. You know,
we're really on this morning. Thebrother was talking about the things that

Christ can do or things that Christdidn't do, And he was talking about
us coming together and reviewing how welive our lives and whether we're worthy of
this that sets before us. That'ssomething that we need too, but not

only today, but every the day. We need to be examined ourselves whether
we're worthy for him. And youknow we're talking about it being the memorial.
The body of the London was alimorial of Jesus. Yes, it's
a memorial to remember him. It'salso our life's blood. It's our life.

It's got put life entire souls andto us being we eat food on
a regular basis to keep ourselves alive. We eat and their esteems so forth
keep ourselves lives some better than others. Mew years. I've put a good
story of what I've got right here, but this before us, we take

it, you know, every lovedor every quarter or every year. For
I gotta think that my Bible wouldn'tpread that way, he said. He

Well, I never feel more thanit was like that, that we didn't
have a first day of the week. But our lesson this morning was about
examining an ourselves. If you'll turnit over to the first drinkings. Chapter
eleven, in verse twinty seven throughtwenty nine says, wherefore, who showing

her shall eat of this bread anddrink of this cup unworthily, shall be
guilty other body in the blood ofthe Lord. But let him in examining
himself, and so let him eatof that bread and drink of that cup,
or either eateth and drinketh unworthily,either and drinkeeth damnation to himself,

not discerning the Lord's body. Youshall see how that says. It's not
if I eat it and drinking itbrings damnation. You can hear it brings
damnation to me. If this isa US thing, it's our soult.
We're in charge of our souls,not somebody else has been charging me.

We're in charge of our own souls, and we need to be examined in
ourselves. In song, chapter twentysix. In verse one through three,
it says, Judge me, oLord, for I have walked in my
integrity. I have trusted also inthe Lord. Where therefore shall I shall

I shall not slide. Examine me, o Lord, and prove me.
Try my reins and my heart,For thy love of kindness is before myne
eyes, and I have walked inthe truth. Can't we His Christians say
that that we have walked in Histruth? We need to be looking at

(08:52):
that and examined it ourselves. Hesays, zaming me, Lord, and
proved me, Try my reins andmy heart. Try to me. Make
sure that I'm what I ought tobe. That's what we need to be
looking at. And then it sayswe're gonna look at a few different things
are being members of his church.In ext Chapter sixteen, in verse thirty

one through thirty three, it says, and they said, believe on the
Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shaltbe saved and thy host. And they
spake over him the word of theLord, and to all that were in
his house. And he took themthe same tribe of the night and warns
their stripes, and was baptized.He and all his strength, right.

You know, most people had stoppedwhen he said that if thou shalt believe
in all of thy house, thoushalt be saved. The most people just
stopped right there. And I think, if I just believe, I'll be
all right. Well, that ain'twhat he says. He says, and
he went and was advertised. Hein all his strength lay. If you

look at the Acts, Chapter seventy, Universe thirty and thirty one, it
says, and the times of thisevenors God winked at, but now commanded
of all men everywhere to repent,because he had the point of the day
in the which he will judge theworld in righteousness by that man. When
he had in a day and whereofhe got given a shounter of all men,

and then he had raised him fromthe dead. He raised a Christ
full the day. And he's onhis right hand, and he's mercifully he's
waiting on us. You know,he's given us tiling the time that we
may not have it in the future. He's given to us now that we

(10:46):
might accept him and do what heasked us to do. He says,
And the times of this evening isGod winked at egnis are going to be
an excuse any more, friends,that I didn't know what this book said,
or I didn't look into it rightever took the time to sit down
and read it. No, hesaid, that's all over. It's been
given into our hands, and it'sour duty to examine ourselves whether we're ready

and prepared to go. Romans chapterten, verse nine and ten, and
says that if thou shall confess withthy mouth, Lord Jesus, and shall
I believe in thy heart that Godhath raised him from the dead, thou
shalt be saved. For with theheart man to leave unto righteousness, and

with the mouth confession is made untosalvation. You see that I used to
I remember the years ago. BrotherHawkam brought brought this out really clear.
He says, you read that lastthing, and it says with the heart,
man believe unto unto righteousness, andwith the mouth confession is made unto

(11:58):
salvation. We're not there yet,we're close, but those were the steps
that you got to take to getto that other part, you know,
unto salvation. In Romans chapter tenand verse thirteen through fifteen, they says,
for who's rivers shall call go thename of Lord, shall be saved.

What then goes on to say,how then shall they call on him
and whom they haven't not believed?And how shall they believe in Him?
And whom they have not heard?And how shall they hear without a preacher?
How shall they preach except they besent? As it is written?
How beautiful are the feet of themthat preach the Gospel of peace and bring

laptimes of good things. We haveto be taught, friends, what we
need to do to be subject toHis salvation. We need to We can't
just call upon Him as our Lordand say here and believe in receive so
to speed. It's not that simple. It is a simple plan of salvation,

yes, but there's things that wehave to do. In Dilations,
chapter three, in verse twenty sixand twenty seven, it says, for
you and all of the children ofGod by faith in Christ Jesus, for
as many as you of you ashave been baptized into Christ, have put
on the Christ. That's what weneed to be doing. We need to

put over the Christ, put onand understand that he's a part of our
lives. He's a part of us. And then we're living for him.
That's what we're here from. Arereal members of his church. Well,
then do we attend worship. We'rehere this morning worshiped in Him, it

says in Hebrews Cheaper ten to versetwenty five through twenty seven, it says,
not sending an assailing of ourselves togetheras a manner of somethings. But
it's already one another. And somuch the more as you see the day
approaching. For if we seem welcomeafter me, or received the knowledge of

the truth, there remains no moresacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful
looking for a judgment and fire inthe nation room which shall depower the adversaries.
You think about that, You know, I'm scared to find. I
don't like to be burned. Ithurts. But he says, this is

a fire in the nation. It'sgoing to be an angry time. God's
going to take his vengeance on thosethat alway not him. And he says,
if we should be fearful in lookingfor his coming, because stabord is
no more sacrifice, he's the onlyone that there is going to be another

(14:58):
and given things and Matthew chapter eighteen, in verse twenty it says, for
work two or three are gathered togetherin my name. There am I in
the mist of them. He sharedus more, He shared it with us.
And did you listen to every word? You know, we pray,

(15:18):
brother Johnson, praying his prayer.Pray that each and everything that we do
and be in accordance to his will. He'll be here as long as we're
doing that. We gotta have aspirit when we got to have the truth.
You can have the truth, butyou better have a spirit. Also.
We better be in and ever mindsand examined that ourselves, whether we're
in that way. Insoves chapter twentynine, in verse one or two,

it says, given to the Lord, all you might give unto the Lord,
glory and strength, give up tothe Lord the Lord do unto his
name. Worsened the Lord in thebeauty of homes will. It had better
be given the best of our serviceto him. That's what it's all about,

given our service to him, notworrying about what other people think.
You know, I may not singvery good, you know, I've leave
to saying for a time and time, but I might not be able to
carry attending the bucket to somebody elseI will read very well about I've noticed
over time that I've gotten better atit. That's practice using their talents that

the Lord has given us. Hesays, worship the Lord in the beauty
of homes. In John chapter four, verse twenty three and twenty four says,
but our cover and that he iswhen the true words. Four.
Shall worship the Father in spirit andin truth. For the Father's seeking such

to worship him. God is aspirit, and that is that worship him.
Must worship him in spirit and truth. He won't take no other service.
It must be in the spirit,and must be in the truth.
Do we ape in marshas? Dowe think about that and make sure that
what's going on in our worship iswhat it should be? Well? Then

the other one kind of gets uson the outside of where we're here in
wershap it says, do we study? In second tenthty, chapter two,
verse fourteen fifteen says of these thingsput them in their memberies, charging them
before the Lord that they strive enoff about words to no profit, but

to the suburning of the Here herestudies to show thyself approved under God,
a working that needed not to beashamed rightly dividing the word true. We
need to be studying figuring out ifthese things are so. You know,
in our body study this morning,we must in Proverbs and it says,

and what is it Roman's fifteen inverse four, those things that are written
a four time are written for learningthat we, through patients in comfort of
the scripture, might have hope.Well, if you read Proverbs from very
long you'll find that we have hopeas long as we're doing what he asked
us to do. And you know, King Solomon was a wise man,

but he was a man, andhe knowed these things that he was going
through, and he wrote them downso that we might be able to go
back and look upon them and understandthat we can learn from and Acts Chapter
seventeen, verse eleven. It saysthese were more noble than those in Thessalinaka

in that they received the word withall readiness of mind, and search the
scripture data whether those things were sold, you know, searching the scriptures of
daily Do we look into this bookand read it? You know, I
get up with the morning, andI go and get ready, and then
I come back and I've been readingin Genesis, thinking about some of the

things that I've been reading in Genesisso far. You wonder where we come
from and how everything comes to be. I must confess that they's some things
that I just don't understand. Well, maybe it's stuff that I don't really
need to understand so further. Buthe talks about taking the seven seven animals,

and then all of a sudden hegets back to just two and two
I mailed in the female. Ididn't really understand that. But you know
what, we still got cattle,and he still got birds, and he
still got all the things that hetook in the park. They're still here.
I believe that they're still here becausenobody did he exact well did he
say? Nor did he exactly asGod committed need to do? So?

Did he? That's exactly right.But then I also worked with people that
their latter was just different than mine. While I often wonder, I've heard
you know a feller that says,do I know, dudes I know the
Bible, or dudes I know theBible that little story that they go along

about. But you read the Bible, and God confounded the languages, and
he made it so because they wasbuilding the tower up to heaven, and
he wanted them. But then whatelse did he do? Something I didn't
know? I guess I've read humberIt well lost humber It for years.

(20:51):
But he said he spread man onall over the whole world at that time
when they were said the languages wascon he separated around across all the world.
Well, then, how do youthink we got here? That's exactly
how we got here. So thoseare things that we can learn from this
by studying his work. In Colossus, chapter three, in verse sixteen and

seventeen says, let the Word ofChrist dwell in your rich three, in
all wisdom, teaching and emotching oneanother, in psalms and hymns and spiritual
souls, seeing with grace in yourhearts to the Lord. And whatsoever you
do in word or deed, doall in the name of the Lord Jesus,

(21:36):
giving thanks to God and he allhe by Him. Let it growl
to you richer. How do youlet it growl in the richard? You
have to know and look and seewhat it has to say. We have
to be studied. And then finally, in John chapter five and verse thirty
and nine, it says, searchthe scripture for in them you think you

have eternal life. And are theywhich testify of men? Who do they
testify? They testify of Jesus andwhat he did for us, and the
things that he the miracles and thingsthat he did. And if you turn
over indo, I believe it's Johnthe twentieth chapter, John the twenty first

chapter there about success. If everythingthat Jesus did while he was here on
earth had been written down, hesaid, not even in the world,
And to pain the books of thethings that he did. We just give
little core taste of what he didin the book that we have. But

(22:44):
if you can think about that,all the things that he does for us,
the one important things he died ofacross for us, well, then
another thing that we must do,or we should be doing. And do
we pray? In little Chapter eighteen, verse one, it says, and
he's faked a prayerble under them tothis end that men aren't always to pray

and not to faith. We needto we need to be praying. You
know, the world will be liveend, we've better be praying every minute
of every day. I know thatthat's not the intention, but the world
will be live in it's a dangerousplace. You never know when somebody's going
to sneak in on us and dosomething that they ought not. In the

First Vessalonians, Chapter five, verseseventeen and eighteen, it says, it's
praying without ceasing, and everything givethais for this is the will of God
in Christ Jesus. Concerning you praying, you know, he says, here
pray without season. That needs tobe of a prayer for mine always ready

(23:56):
to pray. We talk about theprayer list and the people that are on
it, But then there's people thatbecome in contact with David that may want
us to pray for. Are wein a situation where we can pray for
them in a time when they is? But he said in everything give thanks?
Do we do? We thank himfor just the essential things that we

have that we may not have thatopportunity to have. We have claws on
our back, we have shoes onour feet for the most part, and
able to come to services in somesort of part of and are building here
that we are worshiping in. It'sheated in heated in the winter and throw

in the sun for the most part, do we even thanks for those things
that we've had. In first ten, Chapter two, verse one, it
says, I exhort therefore that firstof all sub locations, prayers, intercessions,
and giving of thanks be made forall men. He also says in

other places that I didn't write himdown, but he says, pray for
our enemies. Pray for those thatdespirefully uses and and abuses, because it's
going to happen. But we're supposedto be those that pray for them too,
even though they made despirefully uses.And Hebrews Chapter seven and verse five

(25:26):
are Hebrews fay to seven, versetwenty five. It says, wherefore he
is able also to save them tothe other models that come unto him,
unto God, by him seeing heever lived, to make intercession for them.
Here he's there making a decision forus if we pray to him,

(25:48):
and we might give answers that we'relooking for. A matter of fact,
probably not any of the kind ofare we going to get exactly the answer
that we're looking forward in the timethat we're looking forward. But he's making
that intercision as long as we're asking, and he will hear our prayers if

(26:10):
we're doing what he has is todo. And John chapter nine and verse
thirty one, it says, nowwe know that God here not sinners.
But if any man be a worshiperof God and do it as will,
he hadn't he hear it, that'sthe one he's going to hear. That's
the one he's going listen to.And Matthew chapters twenty six and verse forty
one, it says, watch himpray that again and out in the temptation.

(26:37):
The spirit indeed is willing, butthe flesh is weak. That's it.
Our flesh is weak, but ourspirit is willing. We need to
be watching and pray. And youknow there's a song in our book number
thirty book says watching praying for youknow, not ire when the Lord will
come watch on watching praying. Arewe watching and praying like we should?

(27:00):
Then? Little chapter three and twentyone. In verse thirty six, it
says, watching, therefore, andpray always that you may be a kind
of worthy to escape all these thingsthat you're come to pass and just stand
before the Son of mean. Webetter be praying, watching and praying if

we will be able to stand andescape these things that were counting worthy.
That's where I want is to becomingword just worth. Then, and the
other thing that we're going to talkabout is do we help those that are
in need. We don't always doublethose people that are in need unless they

ask. But do we see peopleand do we ask them our yain need?
Sometimes people just need to be assIn James chapter one, in verse
twenty seven, it says, purelegion and under while before God and the
fathers is to visit the fatherless andthe winners in their flied fliction, and

to keep ourselves unspotted from the world. Yep, we need to keep ourselves
on its father from the world,and look for those that are in need.
In Glaciens chapter six, in versenine and ten, it says,
and let us not be wearing andwell doing, for in due season he

that we shall read if we thinklove as we have therefore opportunity, let
us do good, and all men, especially to them who are of the
household, we need to be doinggood to hollow me, you know,
