would be more likely that Vance Joseph would be the
one they were looking at. General manager Joe Shane worked
with fans Joseph when he was in Miami, Davis Webb
could come along as the OC Web, a former Giants quarterback,
played quarterback under Brian Dabels. Dabel of course just left,
so Web understands the terminology of the offense that just

left and would be able to craft an offense with
Jackson Dart and have continuity there in terms of in
terms of doing things that way. So you know, there's
there's a lot of like right off the bat, Hey,
these these things all make sense in terms of that
Vance is going to be one of the hotter head

crosser and then it's the second crosser that you're trying
to get open the thing. That was impressive there, and
I really like how the quarterback climbed the pocket it

all right and made the throw because that's the where
that's where the pocket unfolded, and so it was it
was one of those moments where I'm like, man, there
it is. You know it's in the gun five climb
and then making that throw in a tight window to
Troy that that was an important play.

bow Knicks. The narrative has changed throunding the relationship with
Sean Payton and bow Knicks the quarterback. Yeah, there's Sean
referring to him as the quarterback instead of bow as
he normally does. You know, everybody, all the same people
that Sean Payton used to work with a Fox or
all of a sudden saying that the Broncos could be
looking at a.

New quarterback this this you know, this fall.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
These are the same people who, by the way, we're
calling bo Nicks a potential MVP candidate at the end
of the Giants game. The exact same people. So you know,
take that for what you will. However, there has been
a noticeable chill in the air as that were between
that and now all of a sudden you're getting these
rumors out of there.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
You know, Ryan was talking about it earlier, I think,
and one of the Texters pointed out that another radio
station has has sort of run with that that we
would trade Sean Payton to the New York Giants uh
for uh for draft picks and move on. And I
I mean, look, I don't think that's likely. I will
(07:21):
say that for the people that were wondering about the
Bill Belichick think Belichick put a statement out just a
little bit ago, uh saying that he has no interest
in any NFO, would not be pursuing it, had no
interest in NFL coaching jobs.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
Yeah right, I think they weren't interested in him. But
you know, as a way to preheunce that, it also
keeps your name in the news.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
Hey, I've been the band, don't fire me.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
In North Carolina, they've turned it around a little bit
down there finally.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
I mean it's you know, and I think everybody wanted
to get it their their shots in on Bill Belichick early,
and it was going to take some time to turn
that around. I think the people that I know were
more laughing at Michael Lobarti and the ridiculous proclamations he
makes and that the self importance that he walks around
with down there in North Carolina.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
But yeah, but I think think, you know, just like
Sean Payton, Bill Belichick as someone who can certainly rub
people the wrong way. And when you finally get some
failure from those people who have been uber successful most
of their professional career, that's when people are going to.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
Take their shots. Yeah, and I get them.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
As far as the Sean Payton goes, I think it's unlikely.
In fact, I think that's the wrong coach.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
If you're looking for Broncos coaches possibly headed to the
New York Giants, I would suggest that to me, it
would be more likely that Vance Joseph would be the
one they were looking at. General manager Joe Shane worked
with fans Joseph when he was in Miami, Davis Webb
could come along as the OC Web, a former Giants quarterback,
played quarterback under Brian Dabels. Dabel of course just left,
so Web understands the terminology of the offense that just
(08:42):
left and would be able to craft an offense with
Jackson Dart and have continuity there in terms of in
terms of doing things that way. So you know, there's
there's a lot of like right off the bat, Hey,
these these things all make sense in terms of that
Vance is going to be one of the hotter head
coaching candidates.

Cycle Uh, either lose him.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
It's either Jeremy Fowler or Dan Grasiato put out a
put out an article about that we're gonna lose Fancy.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
I'm gonna tell you now, he's not coming back, like

Yeah, he's done here, So we better win the damn
Super Bowl this year.

Yeah, And Jim Leonard would be the Jim Leonard would
be the next guy. He's currently the assistant head coach
and DB's coach and you know, passing, defensive, passing, game court.

I forget how many titles he has now.

So it's like to like the Calisian Game of Thrones,
Breaker of Chains, Mother of Dragons. I don't know what
else Jim Jim Leonard has titles title wise on there.
But you know, it's one of those one of those
things that I do not expect him to be back
any which way you slice it. Maybe we trade Sean
Payton to the Giants, even though you don't think it's

gonna happen, get a first.

Round pick and make Vance the head coach again. A
time I was gonna say, has that ever happened before?
Outside of like I think Joe Gibbs, Does that ever
happened to Washington? Yeah, Joe Gibs came back to Washington.

And Gibbs was a little bit different because Gibbs was
wildly successful, you know it at Washington, whereas Vance's first
go around as the head coach was not exactly the.

where he is? I did not. I did not. Yeah,
it's with Gibbs.

he retired, he was not fired. So Vance could theoretically
be the first person fired by a team to come
back in that scenario and be the head coach.

where Advance actually gets to pick his own staff and
players this time actually have control over everything that's going on.

scenario where both of them could be.

take for Sean Payton not to be back. I mean,

I don't know. I I still believe that we have

I'll just say this. It's it's it's tough for me
knowing what I know and having to deal with that
every day. But I shouldn't whine about it. At the

fan base has been suffered long enough. I think I agree,
you know, so I'll just I'll leave it that way,
and I think we're gonna beat the Thiefs this weekend.

I went back and just tried to and I tried
to watch the worst of case like like that Buffalo
game versus you know, the best of the Broncos and
that Giants come back, you know that kind of stuff.

you know thing, whether that s New york Er, you know, wherever, Cincinnati,

some talk down there in Miami, where of course he
was a DC for a year.

Champ Kelly is the general manager. So there's there's Vance
will have suitors this year. I'm telling you now, he's
not gonna be here next year. So let's enjoy that
part while we can. The question is, and Jim Leonard
was a pretty good defensive coordinator, you know when you
look at the college ranks what he did. But I
you know, what is he as a pro And at
that point is the defense you know, carrying the water

the way that they have been right this year, the
offense would need to take a significant step forward at
that point because the defense has been carrying him. And
like you and Nick were talking about earlier this week,
like Vance's eye for talent, and I think that's something
that's very underrated. That's a hidden that's a hidden component
of what he brings to the table. It's like having
an extra scout just because he's that dude. He just

you know, he just has that, he has that ability.

And so that's that's one of those things that that
I think you should I think you should keep your on.

get out of here Advance Joseph, and it talks about
him and talks about what he runs all this kind
of stuff.
