Speaker 1 (00:00):
Host c U Buffman's Basketball edition. It's Friday night. We're
on the cusp of the Chiefs game here on Sunday,
and yeah, it's gonna be a tough one. JK. Dobbins
officially out now we know, Sir Tan, we already new
to town, was going to be out obviously, Singleton out,
Atkins out. So we've got a few bodies that are
out for this game. It's gonna be gonna be tough.

(00:21):
Gonna be a tough matchup here against Kansas City Chiefs.
Averaging twenty six point one points per game. They are
eighth in the league in terms of total offense at
three hundred and eighty two Broncos nineteenth and offensive yards
per game, twenty second in passing with only two hundred
and twelve versus the Chiefs six with two hundred and

(00:41):
sixty one time of possession. Kansas City has a lot
of time possession. They get thirty one to forty two
over the course of a game. That's good enough for
tenth in the league. Broncos only twenty nine to fifty six.
It's twenty second in the league. In terms of third
down conversions, Chiefs convert pretty high rate forty two percent,
good for ninth in the league. Broncos only converting about
thirty seven percent of their third downs. Thus far defensively

(01:05):
pretty evenly matched. The Chiefs give up seventeen points seven
points a game, Broncos give us seventeen point three. It's
third and fourth in the league respectively. In terms of
total yards, the Chiefs allow a little bit more yardage,
mostly on the ground, two hundred and ninety one point eight,
which is good for six in the league. Broncos allowed
to seventy one, which is third in the league. In

(01:26):
terms of passing yards allowed per game, Broncos give up
on hundred and eighty the Chiefs gives up on hundred
and eighty seven, so pretty close. They're good for six
and seventh respectively in the league. The Broncos just shut
down the run at a more effective rate, fourth of
the league, allowing only ninety one point two rushing yards
per game, where Kansas City allows one to four point six.
In terms of sacks, the Broncos obviously lead the league.
They're blowing everybody out and have more than doubled Kansas

(01:49):
City in terms of sacks. The Broncos forty six sacks
on the season, Chiefs only twenty interceptions. The Chiefs out
pace to Broncos six to five. If Chiefs getting just
about everybody back off their injury, they getting the tackles back,
the only guy they'll have out of the Isaiah but Checko,
but don't have Worthy back to all the tackles back,
all that kind of stuff. So just something too, uh

(02:12):
to keep your eye on with, you know, with all that. JK.
Dobbins we already mentioned, Uh, his season has been derailed
and it's gonna it's gonna be a little bit longer
than just this week. We've we've tried to talk about
that a bit on the on the show, but it's
it's gonna be longer than just this week. They're they're
trying and hopefully the buy and everything else that will
help heal that thing up and then they can get

(02:32):
that carbon fiber insert and have him going at some point,
uh for you know, for the rest of the season.
So just something to uh do, something to keep your
eye on with all that. Appreciate you guys be along
for the ride the night it uh it is. Ah,
It's it's interesting how the pulse of the fan base

(02:52):
out there is I don't know, man, it's it's it's
a little it's a little off the pulse of the
fan base. Despite this, eight and two doesn't really feel
like that. The fans that I talk to feel like
that they're in full control of this thing that they
are that we're poised to beat a five and four

(03:15):
Kansas City team. Kansas City's favorite of the sports books
by three and a half. The over underdone this game
right now currently sits at forty five. It's not not
often that you get an eight and two team that's
a three and a half point underdog at home to
a five and four team. And that's that's certainly something

(03:36):
that I think, you know, as we look at this,
I think has got fans perplexed. It's not not a
very common occurrence. I'm trying to look back. I couldn't
find the most recent example of an eight and two
team being the underdog to a five and four team
like that on their home turf. Even with that three
and a half, fifty eight percent of the public right
now betting on Kansas City versus forty two percent taking Denver.

(03:58):
On the money line, seven percent of bets are on
Kansas City. Uh. The over under at forty five and
a half, fifty three percent bets are on the under,
So expecting public expecting a low scoring game in Kansas
City to win, you know, in that one, and and
to cover uh in that one. You know, as it
were now looking over here at the the sharps and

(04:19):
the big money and uh and all that kind of stuff,
it looks like, uh, it looks like it's fairly split
so far in that three and a half. So no,
no big edgetes at the book as far as any
of that kind of stuff goes. In terms of what
the Broncos are going to do. I mean, you know,
we've we've talked about this. I think a lot of
people are expecting r J. Harvey to have an expanded role,

(04:39):
and we do expect that, but I also expect Aleel
mcloffin to vulture some of that stuff. You know. Jaliel
is a guy that can just kind of plug in
on first down and let RJ take over, uh and
not have to put a whole lot on his plate
right off the bat in relief of JK. Dobbins. Dobbins,
of course, has outrushed out attempted Harvey three one thus far,

(05:05):
and his success rate in rushing is twenty percentage points higher.
He averages zero point seven yards per attempt more than
Harvey on the ground. Despite Harvey having ripped off you
know that fifty yarder and ripped off a couple of
big runs. Harvey has a lot of a lot of
zeros and ones, more high variance rusher than JK. Dobbins

(05:26):
than JK Dobbins is on the receiving front, Harvey's doubled
up Dobbins. He does have twenty five receptions of the season,
fronds seventy five yards and four touchdowns. Eight of those
twenty five went for first downs, so you know the
air productivities there. Of the question is that Julia McLoughlin
factor here and you know what he what he brings
to the table. Mclofflin is one carry and one target

(05:48):
on the year. He did not get a catch and
did not gain a yard. Tyler Bday only it feels
like he gets a lot of usage, but you look
at it, he really doesn't. He's only had two carries
on the year for nine yards. He does have it
was the recipient of eighteen targets and he has ten
receptions for eighty seven yards on the season, six of
his ten receptions went for first downs. He was more

(06:10):
effective even through the air than JK. Dobbins, despite you
know people you know lamenting the usage of Tyler Bedey.
Marvin Mims will be back for the Broncos in this one,
and I think they need him. I mean, Mims got
seven carries for fifty four yards on the season. Three
of those seven went for first downs, one went for
a touchdown. In terms of receiving, Mims has had the

(06:32):
beneficiary of thirty two targets on the season, catching twenty
two of them for two hundred and thirty four yards.
That is a success percentage of forty three point eight percent,
which which would put him at a tie in terms
of efficacy with Troy Franklin. However, he gains a half
a yard more per reception than Troy Franklin has on

(06:53):
the season. Franklin been peppered with targets seventy three of them,
but only caught forty two balls is four hundred and
twenty five yards and five touchdowns. Does lead the team,
but he is nowhere near the success percentage of say,
Courtland Sutton, who catches it was forty one sixty to
sixty six targets, had forty one receptions for five hundred
and ninety yards and four touchdowns, twenty eight of those

(07:13):
going for first down. It's just try. Franklin has involved
a lot in the screen game and that's why those
numbers are what they are. They just don't you know.
He doesn't make as many catches down the field and
he doesn't do much with the with the screens that
they are. Harvey, of course, has been the kick return
guy along with Marvin Mims this year. Both those guys
have sixteen returns Mims four hundred and forty five yards, Harvey

(07:35):
three hundred and fifty three. Harvey averaging five point seven
more yards per return. And the field position should help
the Denver Broncos out quite a bit on punt returns.
That's that's been the Marvin Mims show. Michael Bandy had
a few while Mims was out, but wasn't very successful,
with him only getting five point eight per return. Mims
averages twelve point four per return. He has nineteen returns,

(07:58):
two out of thirty five yards on the He's those
the only two guys who have returned. Tyler Bday has
returned some kicks for the broadcost slightly more successful than R. J. Harvey,
the averaging twenty three point six to Harvey's twenty two
point one. Bo Nick's second in the NFL in passing
attempts with three hundred and fifty. However, the completion percentage
of only sixty one percent on the season is low.

(08:18):
He also averages a poultry six point one per attempt.
No quarterback has ever made the Super Bowl averaging that
low per attempt. With that completion percentage on the season,
bo has eighteen touchdowns to eight interceptions, so that's, you know,
that's at least positive. Working in his favorite quarterback rating
of eighty five point seven, not terrible, not great QBR

(08:42):
fifty four point seventy, taking ten sacks for sixty one yards,
but has the lowest sack percentage in the NFL, and
that's a good thing. However, a lot of that number
is inflated by the fact that he just hits the
first read and gets it out of there rather than
waiting for some things to develop, and so that's that's
been a bit of a problem this year. That eighty

(09:03):
five point seven quarterback rating puts him just below Carson
Wentz on the season, not exactly a number that I
think most people would it would like BO to have.
He would would rank twenty seventh among qualifiers and in
Passer Rating on the season QBR, which includes a little
bit more, he ranks a little bit higher and has

(09:24):
weighted more towards situational passing. He would rank eighteenth in
the league, just below Caleb Williams with a fifty four
point seven. I mentioned the SAC percentage by far best
in the league, in fact, almost half of what the
next best guy and Sam Darnold would be at four
point two percent. But his net yards per attempt and
adjusted net yards per attempt not particularly good, again, both

(09:47):
below the league average. League average would be six point
one to eight BO averaging five point seven to four
in terms of adjusted net yards per attempt, and that's
that would be right around the same numbers as Carson
Wentz and Spencer Rattler. Not exactly company you want to
be in. I like, you know, I like the fact

(10:07):
that Broncos don't have a lot of pressure in this one.
Even at eight and two, there's not a lot of
pressure for Denver to go out and win this thing.
This is one of those things where the pressures on
Kansas City. Kansas City at five and four would effectively
be eliminated from contending for the division if they were
to lose this game. The Broncos sitting there at you know,

(10:28):
at eight and would be then eight and three if
they lost nine and two, if they won nine and two,
would put them effectively out of reach, you know, for
for the chief. I mean, it would be theoretically possible,
just vastly improbable overall when you look at the when
you look at the numbers, Chargers seven and three still

(10:48):
you know, nipping at Denver's heels back there, but haven't
been able to catch them, even with all the injuries
that they have thus far. If Denver does lose this game,
they dropped the eight and three, the best they could
do is, you know, if the Chargers get tait and
three that you know, that put them in the same record.
Chargers currently would have the lead because they won the
game here already against Denver earlier this year, Denver rocking

(11:14):
a sixty two net point differential positive sixty two that
would be good enough for fourth in the AFC, right
now behind Indianapolis, New England, who has played the extra
game currently and Kansas City, who has a seventy six

(11:37):
point net differential despite a five to four record. Other
teams nippet at their heels would be Buffalo and Houston.
The Steelers and the Jags kind of looked like they're
on fraud watches. They're both negative on net point differential
and sitting there at five and four records. Would not
be surprised to see Kansas City and Houston move in
and move those two out of their spots. Baltimore back

(11:57):
there in the weeds as well at four and five
negative six point differentials so far, the Ravens have been
clawing their way back into everything so far, and of
course they've got Cleveland this week, so theoretically they could
get back to five hundred. The uh, you know, Broncos
for their part, you know, we know they've got Kansas

(12:18):
City and that's going to be you know, that's that's
going to be a matchup that really weighs heavily. The
Chargers are at Jacksonville. Now, I think the Charger is
a better football team, but you're talking about an early
game on the East Coast. Chargers are favored by three
in that one, but not you know, that's one of
those games where early games for West Coast teams on

(12:39):
the East Coast tend to be kind of fascinating, you know,
on these things, and so that's that's one of those
things where you know you want to keep your eye
on on that one. Well, I think all Broncos fans
will be there to keep their eye on that one
as well. So we'll see, you know, we'll see how
that goes. We do, uh. We will start off the
coverage at eight a m. Myself, Zac Seegers for Broncos

(13:01):
warm up here on KO. Then we'll have the opening
line myself and Ryan Edwards, the Fantasy Hour, myself and
Ryan Edwards will give way to Broncos Game Day with
Jojoe and Nick and then you know, I'll take away
all the way up to the coverage with Ryan at
the desk and you know, Dave Rick in the booth,
Susie on the sidelines, and you know, all your favorites
here at KOA. So looking forward to that as well.
I'm interested to see what you guys think. You know,

(13:24):
I think that you know, I think it's gonna be tough.
I just think it is a tough one. And if
I think if you're the Broncos, you've got to figure
a couple of things out with Dobbins hurt. I don't
know that you're I'm not saying you're not trying to
win this game. Yeah, absolute try to win the game,
but I think there are other things you're trying to
pull out of this game as well. And that is
what we look like down the stretch. If Dobbins has

(13:45):
to miss extended periods of time. We know what it
looks like if Sir Tan has to miss. Uh, we
know what it looks like, you know, with without Adkins
and what he brings to the table Singleton, we've seen
that before, but we don't know what it looks like
with JK. Dobbins missing at this point. And we've got
three frankly undersized backs, two o five as the heaviest
back unless you count Adam Prentice. Uh, and that's gonna

(14:08):
be that's gonna be fascinating to watch. What does this
team look like in short yardage? Got to have it
type situations? Are we run at bow? Are we throwing
the ball which seems to be what Shaun Dat wants
to do? You know, what what are we doing? And
got to have it situations where JK. Dobbins has come
through and made second, third downs easy for this team
so far, if you're not getting early down big gains

(14:29):
you know, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine yards like
Dobbins does. With Harvey, who is a high variants runner,
he'll rip off big runs, but he also gets a
lot of zeros, ones and twos, and so you know,
I wonder what Bow looks like deep in the second
and third down situations that aren't you know, give me,
give me plays on second and third down. And so
I think that's something that we'll we'll have to keep
our eye on as well. So that's, you know, as

(14:54):
much as I want the Broncos to beat Kansas City,
I just think there's a lot of things going against
them in this particular uh, at this particular time. With injury,
you're missing vital players. I mean, you're missing your green
dot player, you're missing your best corner, you're missing your
your best offensive weapon. So that that's you know, it's
it's a combination of things they think at this point
that has my eyebrow raised on this one. And I'm

(15:18):
just a little much as I want Denver to win
this because that puts the icing on the cake and
knocks Kansas City particularly, you know, out of the division race,
and and it becomes a two horse race between the
Broncos and the also injured Chargers. You know, as much
as I want that, this just does not feel like
that kind of game. It feels like a game where

(15:39):
Kansas City's got the momentum. It feels like a game
where the Broncos are trying to patch a few things
up because because of injuries and trying to find themselves
still on offense, and when you know, we kind of
we kind of wonder if those offensive questions got answered
in the ten day mini by since Thursday night football
against the Raiders, you know, So we'll see, I mean,

(16:00):
we'll see what they've got. We'll see what they're able
to do. Sean Payton used to own Andy Reid back
in New Orleans. It's from four and one against him
when when Reid was in Philly. But the tables have
turned since Reid got to Kansas City and the record's
gone the other direction. So we'll see him. We'll come back.
We'll go around the league, we'll get some of the
injury news, what's out there, what's good. Troy Franklin switching

(16:23):
agents too. I don't know if it's a big deal
or not, but certainly something to keep our eye on
as he is. He's switching agents and announce that today
you guys listening to Broncos Country tonight post see you
Men's Basketball Edition. We'll be back after this. Got a
short show post see you buff Men's Basketball Edition. You

(16:45):
guys want to lay some text on me, I am
here five six six nine zero. Appreciate you guys being
along for the ride. I wanted to touch on something real
briefly before we start hitting around the league. Justin Reid
wrote a really good article on Vance Joseph and his
resurgence over on gosh, what was the outlet? It wasn't ESPN,
But anyway you find Justin Reid Orkstree ESPN on Twitter,

(17:07):
you can find a link to that article. It's a
really good article. Vance gives some insight into what it
is that he does, you know, defensively, and uh, you know,
I think I think it's a great read for all
you guys, the mentality wise and and some insights and
stuff like that. So I just I just encourage you
to recommend, uh that you guys get a chance and

(17:30):
read that Advance is going to be one of the
hottest head coaching names is coming cycle. It's it's really
weird because social media has this like this infatuation with
hatred of Advance Joseph and you know, part of that
I think stems from his first tenure as a head coach,
but I think it is. It fascinates me how many
people don't know the roadblocks he had to deal with

(17:52):
at that point in time, and there were to be.
To be completely fair, there were mistakes he made, no doubt,
but there were a lot of roadblocks he had. It.
He didn't get to pick his offensive staff. He had
a guy on staff that was going behind his back
trying to get the job, trying to sneak the job
from him. You know, he he didn't get to pick
that offensive staff. He didn't get to, you know, pick
his players. John Elway was picking the picking the players.

(18:14):
And I don't know if you guys remember that Carlos
Henderson draft, but that was brutally bad. And I think
this time around, you know, Vance knowing what he knows now,
with the mistakes that he's made, and and you know,
and all that kind of stuff. I think that, uh,
he will probably be significantly better as a head coach
than he was his first time around, simply from you know,

(18:35):
learning things. I mean, we obviously see what he's able
to do with defenses. You know, he turned around, uh,
the Arizona Cardinals defense, they were the worst defense in
the league when he got there, turned him to you know,
a top ten defense before injury. Had that thing followed apart. Obviously,
we've seeing what he's done with the with the Broncos here,
you know, and and and turning them around and turning

(18:55):
them into what they are now. And he is absolutely
going to be one of the one of the hotter
head coaching candidate names is Cycle and so when you
look at that, you know what what he could potentially do.
I mean, I've talked about the New York Giants scenario,
you know, given him the pieces that they've got up
there on defense and then allowing him to bring in
the Davis Webs is an oc Web. Of course played

(19:16):
quarterback for the Giants. Uh, he played under Dable in
two different stops, so he knows that offense. And I
think he would be a great guy to take Jackson
Dart and what he knows and that dable terminology which
they both know and understand and and move that forward
into an offense. It works for for Jackson Dart. I
think web would be a very good candidate for that.

(19:36):
So you know that that candidate that up in New York,
that idea that Vance Joseph and Davis Webb, you know,
could potentially wind up there together. Just just keep your
eye on that. There's other places that'll that'll look advance
h for sure, but both Cincinnati, if they were to
fire their head coach in New York, would be very
much in play for him. And that's something to keep

(19:57):
your eye on there around the league. Tyler Lockett full
participant for the Raiders. Uh. It's a good sign for
his availability for Monday Night football. Uh. He got a
little work in of course. In the Broncos game. He
saw that Cardinals have ruled out Mac Wilson, former Bronco
Baron Browning, and corner Will Johnson. That's tough for their defense.

(20:18):
Mac Wilson, they're they're inside linebacker with ribs. Corner Will
Johnson's got back in hip issues. He's gonna miss the
second straight game, and edge rusher Baron Browning has got
a concussion that'll miss his first game of the season. UH.
They had already ruled wide receiver Marvin Harrison Junior out
earlier in the week after he had a pen of
citus and so h. Right tackle Jonnal Williams and and
offensive light and Hank Connor also going to miss the game. Currently,

(20:42):
Will Hernandez, the right guard, Bam Knight, Walter Nolan, bj
H Laurie, and Darius Robinson are all listed as questionable
as well. So the Cardinals could be a bit of
the UH walking wounded against the forty nine ers, who
have a bit of that themselves. However, they finally finally
gotten themselves healthy. Forty nine Ers injury report isn't about

(21:03):
who's on, It's about who isn't. Quarterback Brock Party and
wide receiver Ricky Pearsall returned to the lineup. Party had
played since Week four when he aggravated his turp toe,
which he originally injured in Week one. Pierce All also
last played in week four. Piersall had his first full
practice party a second this week. Honestly, quarnerback Demodor Leonor

(21:25):
is the only Niners player with an injury designation questionable
after he was downgraded out of practice today. The team
had added to the report yesterday defensive tackle Alfred Collins.
The linebacker d Winners have returned to full participation. So
the forty nine Ers, a team that had basically been
the walking wounded for the last six weeks or so,

(21:48):
finally looked like they're getting to where they need to be.
We already knew that JK. Dobbins was going to be out,
and then it'll be for the foreseeable future. The injury
reserve is still very much a possibility. Dobbins, through ten games,
had seventy seven hundred and seventy two rushing yards, was

(22:09):
averaging five at Carrie RJ. Harvey, who has two hundred
and fourteen yards. Harvey will ostensibly take over as the
number one option, Tyler Bade Julia mclough on the other options,
and they do aduce Wan on the practice squad. But again,
I mean, you're talking about four just undersized backs overall,
so we'll see. Adam Prentiss may get some some work

(22:29):
in there as well. A statistical note that I think
is fun or funny or however you want to look
at it, and Matt Stafford, whose NFL career began in
two thousand and nine. He is now in his seventeenth
season and he has never, not once, not ever had
a career personal record over five hundred. You know, like

(22:51):
it because they lost early with the Lions and never
got above five hundred. That could change this Sunday against
the Seahawks. Stafford has two hundred and thirty one regular
season starts and he has one fifteen fifteen and one.
With a win against Seattle and start two thirty two,
he would obviously have the most starts before pushing his
record above five hundred NFL history, and the reason again

(23:11):
for that is obvious. He spent the first twelve years
to care with the Lions at a time with the
Lions are significantly worse than what they are now. Amazing
in hindsight that he stayed with the Lions as long
as he did. But that's kind of how Stafford is.
Never complain, just kind of show up, do the job,
go home, do it again. And he's gotten a reward
in recent years at Super Bowl ring in twenty twenty one,

(23:31):
and you know, they look pretty good this year first ballot,
probably a Hall of Famer when all said and done.
Their former CSU wide receiver Tory Horton out for that
game against against the Rams. Something to keep your eye
on there a lot of CSU fans Texans Titan Dalton Schultz.

(23:53):
No injury designation, looks like he's good to go, So
fantasy lineups there you go on that way. No injury
designations for the Johnson Cam Jurgens for the Eagles, for
the Lions afore mentioned the Lions, San Laporta is out,
Aiden Hutchinson is set to play so and Terry and
Arnold also out in that one with a concussion. Arnold,
of course, hosts that podcast with Patrick tam Ravens coach

(24:17):
John Harbaugh said earlier today that Lamar Jackson would be
a full go for Sunday's game against the Browns, and
the team's injury report confirms that there's no injury designation
After a second consecutive full practice, Jackson missed Wednesday's practice
with knees rness. He's completed seventy percent of his passes
for twel hundred forty nine yards, fifteen touchdowns one pick
in six games. It's also rushed for two hundred and

(24:39):
sixteen to score. The Ravens have ruled out wide receiver
ra Shaan Bateman, linebacker Jay Higgins, running back Justice Hill,
corner Marlon Humphrey, and outside linebacker Mike Green was an
ankle issue is questionable. Titans could get two key players
back in the lineup against the Texans on Sunday. Defensive
tackle Jeff Simmons and wide receiver Calvin Ridley, both listed

(25:00):
is questionable to play. Simmons missed two games with the
hamstring injury. Calvin Ridley been out for three games with
the same injury. Simmons returned to practice on Thursday. It's
a limited participant in the final two practices of a week.
Ridley was limited all week. Several other players out for
the Titans, including Arden Key list is questionable, wide receiver
Bryce Oliver, safety your Zavier Woods. List is out Jags

(25:22):
Chargers something I think a lot of Broncos fans will
be keeping their eye on. Brian Thomas Junior questionable for
that one. Thomas has an ankle injury. He's a limited
participant all three days this week Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday,
after missing the last week's game against the Texans. Offensive
tackle Anton Harrison corner Jordan Lewis tight one Hunter long
all ruled out, Brenton Strange coming back from the ir

(25:45):
but also ruled out, and then they have several injury
listings that are set to play, which includes corner Greg Newsom,
so that'll be uh The Jags could be still a
little shorthanded for that one. Packers wide receiver Matt Golden
missed the Packers loss to the Eagles. The team's hoping

(26:07):
to get him back. He has a shoulder injury. He
listed his questionable against the Giants on Sunday and was
a limited participant in all three practices this week. Packers
also listed defensive lineman Lucas van Ness was questionable. Corner
Nate Hobbs is the only player ruled out for Sunday.
He's got an the issue. Wide receiver saving on Williams
list is questionable. Whide receiver Christial Watson has no designation

(26:29):
after being added to the report on Thursday. In Tampa,
the Bucks have signed running back oh And Right from
the practice squad to the active team. They need depth
of the position. Bucky Irving is still out got foot
shoulder injuries. Josh Williams suspended, so right will join Rashad
White and Sean Tucker to give the Bucks three active
running backs against the Bills on Sunday. Right first joined

(26:50):
the Bucks so the started training camp, but was released
in the final roster cuts ahead of August. Returned on
October seventh, sign of the practice squad. Bucks elevated him
for game day against the Niners in Week six and
the lines seven played one snap of offense eight on
special teams those two games. No runs, no targets for him.
During the preseason, right Lettle played in all three games,
rushed for twenty six times for a team leading hundred

(27:11):
yards and a touchdown, and then four exceptions for twelve yards.
Bengals see Joe Firt. We got some quarterback stuff. Joe
Flacco did not participate in practice today, but he is
going to be the quarterback against the Steelers on Sunday.
Laco is out of practice for the second time this week,
but appears was just about managing his workload as he
continues to deal the right shoulder injury. No designation for

(27:33):
this weekend. Bengals also had Joe Burrow back at practice
this week but will not be activated. Burrow said he's
aiming for around Thanksgiving to make his return from the
toe injury he suffered in Week two. Bengals head coach
That Taylor said his press conference today the defensive ends
Trey Hendrickson and Jamar Stewart also out. The injury report
also has running back to Sam J. P Ryan out
and guard Lucas Patrick listed as questionable. Someone else that

(27:59):
is questionable week is Drake London because a wide receiver.
Also have reguard Chris Linstrom questionable for their game against
the Panthers. Michael Pennix has let's see here, Michael Penix
has the second. Michael Penis and he have the second
most receiving yards with a QB quarterback combo. Since Penix

(28:23):
made his first career start in Week sixteen of last season.
Last two games, London has fifteen receptions two or twenty
two yards, four touchdowns. Corner Mike Hues, defensive lineman Zach Harrison,
wide receiver Jamal Agnew tied in. Felipe Franks and Brandon
Dorless are also questionable. In that one Steelers Bengals, we
talked about the quarterbacks, linebacker Alex Smith and Hegt Smith

(28:46):
excuse me, and corner Darius Slagh Slagh as a concussion
are ruled out for week eleven. Heighsmith didn't practice all week.
Sleigh was limited to practice today in a limited capacity.
Linebacker Cole Holcombe also out. He has an illness, did
not practice Wednesday or Friday. Same to Jabrill Peppers is
set to play along with wide receiver Scottie Miller. As

(29:08):
far as the Chiefs and the Broncos, we talked a
little bit about this when Chiefs playing have Xavier Worthy
in the lineup. Worthy was added to the injury report
Thursday with an ankle injury, but was a limited participant
and then was full today. No injury designation for the weekend.
Left tackle Josh Simmons off the report also puts him
in line to play for the first time since Week five.
He'd been dealing with a personal matter. Running Back Isaiah
Pacheco is the only player ruled out for Kansas City

(29:30):
this weekend and the only player with an injury designation
of any kind due to his knee issue, So Kansas
City getting healthy before the Before that game Rams, we
talked earlier about Stafford, but that said receiver DeVante Adams
has an oblique in defensive end Kobe Turner's back. Both
those guys are questionable for that game. Sean McVay did

(29:52):
say he expected both to play, however, today. The nine
games this season, Adams forty two receptions five hundred and
sixty eight yards with a league leaguing nine touchdowns. Turner
has recorded up one and a half sacks two tackles
for a loss in six quarterback hits this year. JJ
McCarthy practice with a bandage on his right hand this week,
but then won't stop him from playing the Bears on Sunday.

(30:14):
No injury designation on the team's final report ahead of
week eleven. He banged his hand on a helmet last weekend,
but was able to practice and return to full participation
on Thursday. Sunday's game will be McCarthy's third since returning
from the ankle injury that kept him out for five games.
The Vikings did rule out edge rusher Jonathan Greenard is
a shoulder injury and announced that center Ryan Kelly, who

(30:35):
has a concussion, would not be activated from the injured
reserve this week. The Bearers have listed Jawon Brisker and
Jaylon Johnson is questionable. Johnson practiced today for the first
time since going on injured reserve after Week two, and
coach Ben Johnson said that the team has to make
sure the veteran corners in a good spot as he
tries to get back into game action. There you go.

(30:58):
The NFLPA seeking a new executive director of the process
of finding one officially again last month. The position has
posted with a full description of the job. The posting begins,
the greatest athletes on Earth seek a champion, a true
leader to understand us, galvanize us, fight for us. So
you smart enough, strategic enough, todation is enough, inspiring enough

(31:19):
to champion twenty five hundred world class athletes. The list
of adjectives for the position lists accountable, devoted, decisive, driven, responsible, reliable, respected, relentless, trustworthy, transparent, selfless,
self aware, smart, strategic, tenacious, persistent, presence, gravitas, charisma, grinder,
work as hard as we do. The biggest question is
the timing. Will it happened before or after elections in

(31:42):
March for a new NFLPA president and player reps and
new executive committee members. Some believe an effort will be
made to make it happen. Under the current regime with
a suspicion that the goal will be to remove the
interim tag from David White's current title. Turnkey ZRG is
the outside search firm, which is not Russell Reynolds, the

(32:02):
firm that teed up Lloyd Howell and White as the
final two. The early educations are the process will be
as secretive as it was the last time around, nobody
knowing who the candidates are finalists are, and no transparency
or scrutiny as to whether one candidate is more deserving
than another. But the timing is the key. Will they
make a higher before the dust settled on a new president.
It makes far more sense to wait until the looming

(32:23):
vacancies and leadership have been filled. But we'll see. We'll
see how that shakes out. And no one to ask
Nick about that. He is a lot, a lot of
effort he puts into last thing. From me here. Jets
head coach Aaron Glenn said Thursday night that he doesn't
want to make a habit of our quarterbacks continuing to
run because we can put them in harm's way. But
the team hasn't been successful when Justin Fields throws the

(32:45):
ball Fields was fifteen of twenty six and finally passed
one hundred yard passing well one hundred and sixteen and
a touchdown and Thursday's twenty seven to fourteen loss to
the Patriots. It came a week after he completed just
six passes for fifty four yards and it went over
the Browns. On Friday, glen said an oppresser that we've
got to be a lot better in the pass game
across the board, while acknowledging that there were some open
guys feels missed over the course the night. Glenn said

(33:07):
he did not consider making a quarterback change, but did
not rule one out when asked for week twelve, just
said he's evaluating everything himself, the player's skinematics, coaches, I'm
evaluating everything. Glennon has resisted in making any proclamations about
the starting quarterback for the last few games, so see
if he changes course once the team is back to
work next week. The Jets have been awful this year

(33:28):
and pretty clearly at this point are not trying to
win games, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll draft the
quarterback either. They've got plenty of first round picks after
moving on from Sauce Gardner and Quinn Williams, and they
could put them in a position if they just don't
feel convicted about somebody that they could they could go
out there and get a veteran quarterback for a couple
of years while they try to find the guy that

(33:49):
they want to they want to make the permanent quarterback there.
So something to keep your eye on. Kyler Murray probably
gonna be available this year. Just something to keep your
eye on for that. Murray will have other suitors as well,
the Raiders, the Saints this offseason when he is made available.
Appreciate you, guys. I've been all off for the ride
here on Broncos Country. Tonight, it's our post CU men's

(34:09):
basketball edition right here on KOA Say fifty am ninety
four on FM News Talk Sports.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
