Speaker 1 (00:02):
Decision twenty four. Kelly and Blaze our ringside for the
main event. This is Charleston's Morning News on ninety four
to three wsc oh boys strap.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Him welcome in Night one of the DNC is over.
They really pulled out their quote unquote heavy hitters, and
I know Blays are gonna say, don't discount them. I'm
not discounting the DNC with regards to their crazy. I
can just say that I'm not. And I know we're
talking enthusiasm here because you've got the propaganda press this

(00:35):
morning out here. I mean MSNBC's Joey Reid talking about
the you know, exuberance and joy in Chicago with the DNC.
Uh maybe inside outside it's a complete disaster. People are
getting arrested or walls that you're erected, and by the way,
twofold at least one fold of it was breached by

(00:56):
these angry, crazy protesters who are holding up signs that
don't make any sense, like lgbt Q I A for
you know, pro Palestine. I mean, you know, if you
go to Gaza as someone who is gay in the
gay community, you're not going to be treated well. I
don't understand how these people don't get this, but here
we are.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Well, they were throwing bottles and signs and the police
had to fire tear gas at them. And if that
was the RNC, the Republican National Convention, you better believe
that that would be receiving wall to wall coverage. But
it's not because it's the Democrats. And I'm saying, don't
underestimate them, because you're saying, you know, it's such a

(01:37):
you know, an s show and it's a you know,
a disaster. Yeah, well, I mean according to you, but
there's plenty of exuberant people or who are well i'll
just say it, who are crazy, who are misinformed, uninformed
and are crazy, weird, and they wholeheartedly support this cast

(02:04):
of characters. So you have to watch out for them there.
And if you underestimate them, then there's the danger that
you know, you're going to hand it to them.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Well, the numbers, I hope, wish and pray are not
on their side, And I mean the numbers of headlines
this morning that are describing this as a train wreck
are all over the place. I mean, it depends on
where you look. Morning brief final ride for Adderall Joe
Red State Biden DNC speech historic train wreck town hall,

(02:36):
saying the send off was more of an angry tantrum
riddled with lies. Now, I mean, maybe that's just people
being more honest than the propaganda press, which is not
even covering much of the rioting. And you know, people
in their own party, mind you, who are angry and
upset outside, which by the numbers, there are far more

(02:56):
people out there protesting outside than there are participats inside.
And they'll spend that, we know they will. They'll say, well,
it's only twenty you know, three thousand capacity ish twenty
three to five inside, you know, Chicago's Arena there. But
I mean, how many people call into this show super

(03:16):
excited about Kamala and this. Hey even with Joe when
he was there before they knifed him in the back.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Well, it's the nature of our show. And you just
listed you know, a bunch of right wing sites that
of course are going to say that. But go ask
a Democrat if they're excited about this, and they are, so,
don't underestimate that they're out there, and they're out there
in a huge amount of numbers. And are they out
there and with enough numbers to win? I don't know,

(03:45):
but I know that this is not, you know, a
walk in the park and a piece of cake for
the right to win this election.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
I'm not saying that.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
So we can trash them all we want, but we
better take them serious.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Well, here's the deal. We definitely have Democrats who listened
to this show. This I know. Uh, And what I
would love to hear is your enthusiasm. You're just as
welcome on this program as anyone seven two two five five.
If you're this enthusiastic about Kamala, please explain why. But

(04:18):
I don't see this in droves. Yes, I've seen some
signs pop up and you know what, more stickers that
I see on the back of people's cars, like I
was driving through the crosstown yesterday. Uh, it's for It's
not for Trump, it's not for Biden. Who do you
think is for I just I'm curious. I mean, of
all people who are Kennedy. Yeah, he's not going to win,

(04:40):
But people would rather pick a Kennedy, I guess, and
throw their vote away than actually pick a lane whether
you want to call it looney one way or the
other on the right or the lest Well.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
I guess so. But look at the electoral map of
all of these elections. Most of the country is red,
but somehow the Blues keep winning, right, And that's because
of the concentration of population in the urban centers. So
you know, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Detroit,

(05:12):
all of these places decide the elections, sadly enough, and
these people are excited and fired up for Kamala Harris.
I can't explain it. I don't agree with it, certainly,
but don't underestimate it.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Now Charleston's Morning News with Kelly and Blaze for something genuine.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
A movement, like look at Trump's rally, whatever else do
you want to say about them, there's very genuine. There's
nothing contrived, and there's nothing you know, propped up and
you know, orchestrated, but every moment for the Democrats is orchestrated.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Steve, you appreciate that. Welcome in and here we are
breaking down d n C night one, and I see
that there's already a war this It broke out starting
last night of crowd size. So you've got the RNC
and Milwaukee crowd size versus the DNC crowd size, and
they're blaming the with the Democrat National Convention last night,

(06:20):
they're blaming the protesters for lots of traffic problems and
that's why it took so long to fill up, you know,
the capacity. I was looking it up in Chicago's United Center.
Their max capacity is about twenty three thousand, five hundred
and they're like, well, the protesters caused traffic delays, and
I mean, do you want to break that down. I mean,

(06:40):
you know, there are so many protesters outside that broke
through your first of two barriers. They built walls. I
thought walls were racist, but apparently they're okay for Democrats now.
But they brought you know, broke through one world. There
was a security breach, but you're being protested by your
own people. I mean this it's crazy, wild times last

(07:02):
night to kick things.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Off, Well, according to the Democrats, walls are fine when
they're protecting Democrats. IDs are fine when it's protecting Democrats.
Guns are fine when it's protecting Democrats. But otherwise for
the rest of you unwashed masses.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Now well into Steve's point about the fakery. I just
keep going back to, you know, juxtaposing these two on
the ticket. It couldn't be more. You know, the contrast
couldn't be more stark. I mean, one was I'm watching
the RNC and it's inspiring and positive and I don't know,
I mean, I'm watching this and it's shrill and screamy

(07:42):
and fake, I mean, very scripted. I just it was.
It was a sad send off for sleepy, creepy Uncle Joe.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
Well he's up there yelling, you know, Randy Wine Garden
yelling AOC yelling, Hillary being her shrill self. Talking with
my wife last night while we were watching, and I'm like,
how would you like to be in that audience?

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Right?

Speaker 3 (08:06):
Show up to an arena full of Karen's and the
flailing about of arms, so that that always freaks me out.
Talk about weird. That's weird how they and Nancy Pelosi
is especially, I think the weirdest when it comes to
the use of her hands in her arms to animate
the conversation. I don't know why they believe that they

(08:27):
have to do that. They were probably taught that that
it makes their point more emphatic or something, but it's weird.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
I think it shows desperation. It's just this pumping up
of this phony enthusiasm when they're flailing their hands around
and about it's just awkward. You're right, it's creepy, it's weird.
I don't want to jump on their weird bandwagon.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
But here we are, you know, And I don't know
if it's phony enthusiasm.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
Oh absolutely, I mean, I just I definitely think so.
There are soul you believe that at your peril, I mean,
I pray not. That's all that we can do at
this point other than vote, vote, vote.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
This is Charleston's Morning News with Kelly and Blaze. Now
the top three things you should know.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
The FBI has concluded that Iran was behind the hack
of former President Trump's campaign. In a statement, the bureau
said that it saw increasingly aggressive Iranian activity during this
election cycle and that both presidential campaigns had disruptions attempted.
The statement went on to add that Iran has sought
access to individuals with direct access to the presidential campaigns

(09:42):
of both political parties. South Korea and the United States
are beginning their annual summer military exercises. This comes as
North Korea looks to advance it's nuclear and missile programs,
trying to launch reconnaissance satellites officials say the drills reflect
realistic threats, including North Korea's missile threats, as well as
GPS jamming and cyber attacks. South Korean's president talked about

(10:07):
the importance of readiness against the North, calling the communist
nation the most reckless and irrational country in the world.
Disney is changing its position in a wrongful death laws here.
The company announced last night it's now waving its right
to arbitration in the case. Jeffrey Piccolow filed the lawsuit
when his wife died last year after having an allergic

(10:29):
reaction to a meal she had at a Disney Springs restaurant.
Disney originally claimed the lawsuit should be tossed because the
planeff agreed to arbitration when he signed up for a
Disney Plus subscription five years ago. Disney now says they
strive to put humanity above all other considerations, adding that
the situation warrants a sensitive approach to expedite a resolution.

(10:51):
By waiving its right to arbitration, the case can proceed
to court. Piccolo is asking for more than fifty thousand
dollars in damages.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
Horrible story, what a horrible thing, My god.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Yeah, well, she goes to this restaurant. She's like, I
have a really bad camera. It was peanut and one
other one, so two seafood. I think shellfish, peanut and
shellfish allergies. And they assure her that she's safe to
eat this meal. She eats it and she dies. So
then the husband sues and they're like, oh, no, you

(11:25):
signed up for Disney Plus five years ago, and in
the fine print it says you agree to arbitration. And
then you also went to Epcot Center like last year
or something like that, more than a year ago, and
there's fine print in there that also says you agree
to arbitration. So you're going to have to arbitrate this
instead of proceed with your lawsuit. And it was such

(11:47):
a bad look for them they now changed their turn.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
Wow, that makes me think about all the fine print
and the disturbing stuff that we sign up for just
to get an app on our phone, and think about
how many apps you have on your phone.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
Well, this you were gone the morning that I had
that story, and this was after you know, Kamala had
introduced her communist price scouging in all of this, and
so I had this commentary right to go about how
a free enterprise, you know, a free economy will correct

(12:20):
itself the most efficiently in the fairest way, and that
corporation should be free to pursue that for the good
of everyone. And then I had this Disney story and
I'm like, thanks for ruining my commentary, Disney and being
a responsible corporate citizen.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Talking about ruining some commentary coming up digging into the
commedy ties that you know, Kamala's VP pick has. I mean,
I didn't realize how deep and talk about weird. That's
a nice way of putting it. When it comes to
Waltz and his visits to China and his my goodness,

(12:58):
the man taught school in China, and you know here
he is married on the fifth anniversary of Tieneman Square,
the massacre there saying you know it was a date
he'll always remember, so you want to have your wedding
on that day. Into that well, he took.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
His honeymoon then students to China for his God. The
funny how these people, Bernie Sanders has spent his honeymoon
in Russia. The Communists are among us. Yeah, reportedly Tim
Walls is a malist.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
It's very, very concerning some of the things he taught
those children, and the idea that the man what he
traveled to China almost thirty times, yet he's never eaten
a decent taco. I mean, the whole thing's just very bizarre.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
Taco's in China.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
I'm just saying. I mean, it's it's quite a whirldwin
for a guy who's supposed to be you know, they
keep playing them up as just this simple guy who's
like the coach or the dad, you know, the old
American dues.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
He's just a good old, you know, corn bread, middlewestern,
you know, flyover country type, according to other Democrats. And
then you look into putting tampons in boys restrooms and
supporting you know, gender changing care. They call it, which
I would call self mutilation or worse because the doctor's

(14:21):
mutilating you on underage people.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
And you know, we know whirldwind travels to China, that's
not what an American dad's been to China almost thirty times.
This all it's it's disturbing. Actually, it's curious his connection
with China, and it's it goes on, I mean in
his hypocrisy. I mean, the idea that he taught his

(14:44):
kids is quite literally set up a classroom, and here
he is teaching these kids in China about how great
communism is. I mean you mentioned it. Doctors and construction workers,
he told him in one lesson they make the same
but it's okay because you know, the Chinese government provides
housing and food.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
It was supposed to be a cultural exchange. And then
he directed his students to play down their westernness. They're American,
you know, their americanness.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
Yeah, it's just pretty exotic for a guy, you know. Ha,
Peachy says on x this is pretty exotic for a
guy who's never tasted a real Mexican taco to, you know,
to have done all of this in his past, and
traveling to China almost thirty times. Oh the insanity.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
This is Charleston's Morning News on ninety four to three
WSC where the Low Country goes.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
For election coverage.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
Now back to Kelly and Lace.

Speaker 3 (15:49):
We're celebrating too great things. Today. It's National Bacon Lover's Day.
You can never go wrong with bacon. It's also National
Radio Day. Heinrich Rudolph Hertz discovered radio waves in the
eighteen eighties. The invention of the radio is often credited
to Google, Mo Marconi in the eighteen nineties. However, Nikola

(16:13):
Tesla was reportedly first to demonstrate radio in eighteen ninety three.
Radio broadcasting was introduced by Lee de Forest. He was
the inventor of the audio on vacuum tube, which made
live radio broadcasting, telephone, radar, television, and computer systems possible
before the invention of the transistor. He transmitted the first

(16:36):
public radio broadcast, which featured the voices of opera stars,
that was in nineteen ten, and the first radio news
program that was broadcast on August thirty first, nineteen twenty
on Detroit, Michigan's WWJ. So Happy National Bacon Lover's Day,
and while you're chowing that bacon down, enjoy some radio

(16:57):
on National Radio Day.
