Speaker 1 (00:00):
This episode of the Chats with Gig podcast is kind
of just a riff, So we're not gonna do the
whole intro outro thing whatever. You've been here for a
while most likely, so you know, you know what we're
all about here. We're about flow and sacred strategy, and
we are about allowing ourselves to be led by our
(00:22):
intuitive compass. And so my intuitive compass says, get this
episode out yesterday.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
And so that's what I'm gonna do.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
I'm not gonna bother with all of the crazy editing
and all that stuff today because I feel like this just.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
Needs to be out.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
And so if you're new here and you want all
of the polished and edited episodes, check out literally any
of the other one hundred plus episodes that we have
on the podcast. But for this one, I think it's
perfect to have it lined up just like this because
we're going to talk about making sales and sweatpants, and
sweatpants is not when we are most polished, and so
(01:00):
so yeah, I think it aligns perfectly. This is all
about being able to have a business structure, or in
this case, a business reset that requires low energy and
high income. Because right now, as I'm recording this episode.
We're in the middle of summer. It's like July fifteenth,
(01:20):
I think, Yeah, July fifteenth is today's date as I'm
recording this, and it's the middle of summer. The majority
of my community is focused on their family. These kids
are out of school. You got to keep them busy
and entertained and focused on something, right, or else say
tear the house down.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
I get it.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
And so you might be low energy in your business.
Now here's what's powerful about this episode. Whether you're listening
to it in the summer season or any other season.
Every business has its own seasons of low energy. Every
business has, at different points in the year their own
natural seasonality when things kind of slow down, right, So
(01:56):
things tend to pick up in the summer or gearing
into summer. For a business that perhaps sells bathing suits, right,
So that kind of business obviously is going to have
a huge search of sales during summer because that's when.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
People are buying babysuits. Right.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
A bookkeeping business which is going to be gearing up
toward tax season, is going to have the surge of
sales and the business growth between like January and March, right,
January and April because that's when people are usually getting
their books together, they're receiving their W twos or receiving
their W nine's, all that stuff, and they want to
get their taxes filed between March and April, and so
(02:34):
after that it might be a little bit slower, right,
And so different businesses are slow and fast at different
times of the year. And so what's good about making
sales in your sweatpants is that it gives you the option.
It's going to give you the strategy to be able
to get that cash injection in your business regardless of
(02:55):
your business's seasonalities. And this is important because listen, sometimes
you know, when your business is slow, you need a
cash injection because you either need to hire somebody new,
or you want to invest in marketing, or you simply had,
you know, shit hit the fan somehow and you got
to pay yourself a little extra on this paycheck and
(03:16):
stuff like that. Anything it could be a reason why
you need a cash injection in your business and you
need it now. And so being able to create a
cash injection without needing to polish everything up. Hence where
the concept of sales and sweatpants comes in. Without needing
to develop a huge funnel that takes two weeks to
put together, and somebody from your team stopping what they're
(03:38):
doing to be able to put it together, or worse yet,
you learning how to put together a fucking funnel, or
like big heavy launches like without any of those complications.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
It's important to.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Be able to have a strategy like that that you
can sort of put together into your business at any time.
And so I've been hearing from so many people that
they've accepted a truth. A truth means it's not necessarily
a real truth. It's just a truth, an element, a
thing that they've accepted, and that is that sales have
to slow down in the summer. Now, this could be
true for you for any other part of the year,
(04:11):
but that there is you can just you just accept
that sales are slow at some point. And I say,
fuck that, right, because you have to be able to
hold the control of your business. Now, don't get me wrong,
this is not going to change the seasonality of your business.
Businesses are still going to have their their ups and downs,
their ebbs and flows, and their natural uh, their natural flows,
(04:36):
their natural seasonalities. But what I want is for you
to have a strategy where you can combat that if
you need to. Right, you can be magnetic in your
sales even if you're low energy. Okay, And so from
hearing all of these people complain about how you know
(04:57):
summer is so slow and how they don't like it,
because if you don't mind it being slow, then cool.
But if you don't want it to be slow, if
you don't like it, then you need to change it
or else you're accepting it.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
Right.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
If there's something going on that you don't like but
you don't actively find a way to change it, then
you're accepting it. And if you're accepting it, then you
can't complain about it because you're just it makes no sense.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
You're accepting it. So what are you bitching about? Right now?
Speaker 1 (05:23):
If there's something going on that you don't like, then
you change it. Now you can create the new reality
that you desire, right, And so this is for those
people who want to create a change in the role
of summer sales, right. And so launches, funnels and forced
(05:45):
strategies are going to feel out of alignment in summer
because usually summer is when we tend to want to
slow down with family, We want to travel a little more.
We want to kind of be in the leisurely part
of life.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
Right.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
And again, you can apply what I'm saying to whatever
the quote unquote summer season is of your own business,
but with alignment and sweatpants, with sales and sweatpants. It's
not necessarily being lazy, and it's not exactly being passive,
but it is being able to create a simple structure
that gives you intentional receiving. This is not necessarily about hustle.
(06:26):
This is not necessarily about push, but it's how you
can get your nervous system to be a part of
your business strategy, accepting your business flow, but without accepting
the consequences of that business flow. So when you see
your sales drop, inevitably, your nervous system goes into what
(06:48):
the fuck mode?
Speaker 2 (06:49):
Right?
Speaker 1 (06:50):
And so when you can bring your nervous system on
board with the seasonality of your business, meaning, Okay, we
understand that sales can be a little bit slower during
this particular season, right, but I have the strategy to
be able to get that cash injection to come in.
And now your nervous system is going to exhale because
(07:14):
we can still get little chunk of money to come
in to get things into momentum. Right, So now you're
getting your nervous system to be a part of this
business strategy so that you can, in fact have an
even more relaxed summer. Because listen, all the work that
we do and all the growing that we do, and
(07:34):
all the expanding that we do, and la la la la,
still we still stress a little when the money goes
down because we know how important it is. Right, because
we have financial responsibilities to our families, to our kids,
to our bills, to our properties, to our employees, et cetera.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
And so.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
As women especially, we require having cash plans that don't
require hustle because our natural biological flow of a twenty
eight day cycle means that we can't always be in
the hustle. In fact, we only get a couple of
days out of the month where we naturally feel the
(08:09):
energy and the impulse and the momentum in our body
to quote unquote hustle, right to like to do the thing,
do the work, you know, do be very very active,
and so we need to be able to have cash
plans that don't require hustle. Right, we can have other
cash plans that do hustle a little, right, So like
a heavy launch and stuff like that. Of course absolutely
(08:30):
you should have that in your business too, but to
implement when in your own natural cycle you have the
energy and capacity to implement something like that. Now, when
it comes to summer, usually we don't have the energy
or capacity. The kids are home, we have a lot
more to do. You know, maybe if you run a team,
part of your team is traveling, so they might be unavailable. Shit,
(08:52):
maybe you're traveling and you want to be unavailable. And
so this is where being able to develop a cash
plan in your business that doesn't require hustle is important,
especially for women. And so that's what I want to
teach you to do. I'm going to teach you to
do that inside Reset and Rise.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
Reset and Rise is going to be a three hour
master class where I'm going to teach you how to
phish out stuff in your business that's a leaking energy. Okay,
So we're going to reevaluate what's going on in your
business in the summer that's leaking the energy. We're going
to restructure.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
So what we're going to do is we're going to
find the elements, tools, resources, and offers that you already
have that you can monetize on without launching, without hustle
and bustle, without big funnels or anything like that, and
then I'm going to teach you how to reset to
get that cash injection. So this is a simple strategy
that I use all the time that works super well
(09:46):
that you can implement in seven days or less. I'm
going to teach it to you in three hours and
you can implement it in that same day.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
We're also going to talk about the mindset shifts that
need to happen in order for you to give yourself
permission to run your business in more flow and to
be able to receive more easily in seasons of slowness
like summer, without it costing you stress or hustle and bussle.
So you don't need to feel ready, you don't need
(10:16):
to feel way down right. You just need to say
yes to ease. If ease sounds like something you would
like in the summer months in the slowness of your business,
then I want to see you inside Reset and Rise.
We are doing this masterclass live on July twenty fourth.
(10:37):
If you're hearing this episode after July twenty fourth click
on the link in the show notes anyway, because I'm
probably going to leave a replay available for the long run,
because yes, I'm doing this in the summer, because it's
where I keep hearing people complain about the summer low
(10:57):
of slow sales. But this strategy is applicable to your
business at any time when you see the sales kind
of drop. You can implement this cash injection in your
business at any time of the year. And so this
is going to be three hours together live to get
your business back into momentum. I cannot wait to see
(11:19):
you in there, and of course if you have any questions,
you know that you can reach me at Seizing Happy
on Instagram.
