Speaker 1 (00:05):
Greeting, salutations, and welcome my friends to a Thursday edition
of The Power Hour on six ten WTV. And I'm
Chuck Douglas. You know who you are. We get one
hour together, which means I talk really fast and you
must listen even faster. My number eight two one nine
eight eighty six A two one WTV. And like much
of America, if not the world, right now, I am
(00:27):
watching the Family Feud. I am not talking about Steve Harvey.
I am talking about Donald Trump and Elon Musk. And uh,
this is like an auto accident from which you cannot
turn your head, the old analogy. And I'm going to
tell you something. I'm I'm I'm not sure I believe
any of this. I know, I'm not telling you that
(00:52):
it's not what it looks to be. I'm telling you
that I personally me, I'm having a problem believing any
of this. This this is this is straight out of
a comic strip. And it's not making sense. And I'm
watching the social media accounts of Trump opposition and I'm
(01:18):
seeing nothing, and that in itself is spectacularly interesting to me.
One account, which is just democrats. I don't know what
that that they actually have something on there. But if
you look at Pelosi on Twitter, if you look at Schumer,
if you look at AOC, you're you're you're not seeing anything.
(01:39):
Can you believe that these people would pass up the
opportunity to uh to jump on here and start going
after Donald Trump thinking the blood is in the water.
I can't believe that. I forgot to check Bernie Sanders.
Do you have Bernie Sanders? Do you follow him? Yeah?
He did.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
I don't think he said it. I just as this
Devil's advocate. If you if I said something to say
I was AOC and I said hey, whatever, and I
talk about Trump and Musk, there's inevitably going to be
a bunch of people go, oh, now you like Elon
Musk again.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Now you like him? You hated him. When you don't
even have to like him to say Elon misk Musk
has spilled the beans. Donald Trump needs to be held accountable,
let's get him out of office. Something like that. That. You
don't have to like Elon Musk to say that. But
they're saying nothing, Yeah, I don't.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
I'm just saying Devil's advocate. I'm just saying that might
be what they're thinking. Like, no matter what I say,
I'm gonna get crap for this if.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
You don't if you don't know what I'm talking about
right now, if you've been under a rock or whatever
the last hour and a half or so, basically, it's
what it's what Dad would have called a pisson match
Elon Musk and Donald Trump going at it on social media.
I still, honestly there's some little part of me that
still even wonders if it's really them, because you know, look,
(03:03):
with technology being as it is, and uh an infiltration
of technology being what what what if you know some
guy in China's doing all this? What if? What if
Putin has Russian hackers impersonating them, blocking them from their
accounts and impersonating it. But where's the press conference? You
know where? Where shouldn't shouldn't Donald Trump or Elon Musk
(03:24):
be in front of cameras right now either validating or
contradicting what we are seeing. Something's just not right. And
I helped me A two one nine eight eight six
A two one w TV. And are you as confused
by all this as I am? Because I you know,
unlike the detractors out there, that those those know everything
(03:45):
people that I was. Mark and I were talking before
the end of his show. Uh, the they're just going
to be insufferable. Those never Trumpers who are just they
want to hold their noses up and say, look, we
told you how bad he was. I don't need anything
from them right now, because I'll tell you see, I'm
not a Trump robot, as I have said many times
(04:08):
to your face as often as possible on social media
over the airways. I love America and supporting Donald Trump
and his political vision I believe is beneficial for America.
But I'm not an idiot. You know, bad guys are
bad guys, and if it turns out Donald Trump's a
bad guy, I'm gonna say that out loud too. I'm
(04:30):
not so stupid that I blindly follow any one period.
I am a thinking, reasonable, logical American. I wish there
were more of me instead of these people that just
you know, they I signed on for this, so I
gotta say whatever I'm told. No, No, I'm not like that,
(04:51):
but I'm having a rough time believing any of what
I'm seeing right now. And as far as as Donald
Trump and any Epstein interactions, any illegal Epstein interactions, any
immoral Epstein interactions. Yeah, you're gonna have to show me
(05:11):
some proof, because I have more faith in the man
than that. Not that he's perfect, No, he can be
a loud mouthed fire from the hit moron sometimes. I
know that. But for me to accept that this guy
is the kind of guy who gets on a jet,
goes to some private island and physically abuses, sexually abuses
(05:33):
young girls. Now you're gonna have to show me some proof.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Do you think this is also could be billionaires who
usually get what they want and aren't happy if they
don't get what they want. And Elon might not have
gotten what he wants.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
He did, he didn't in a lot of ways. He didn't.
But what he is going to cost himself if it's
all about him losing money or losing government contracts or whatever,
the amount of money that he's stands to lose if
this is not legitimate, the Tesla stock. I'm telling you
(06:07):
watch tomorrow if this, If this turns out to be
an illegitimate in the overnight news, the Tesla stock will
just crash. Nobody's going to support him.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Well, you quoted it said, mark it down. Whatever it
closed out today?
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Yeah, was it two seventy four or forty something like that.
We're opposed today. Yeah, people will pull their money out.
Uh and uh. Democrats will still hate him and not
support his product, and Republicans will now resent him and
they will not support his product, and and all of
this stuff that he's built will come crashing down around him.
Fourteen kids, Man, you better keep that paycheck coming. Something
(06:46):
is not right. I don't know what, but something is
not right. Nine eight six number eight two one WUTVN
or eight hundred and six to ten WTV. And Jay, you're
on the Legacy Retirement Group dot com phone line?
Speaker 3 (07:01):
Ty, Hey, how you doing?
Speaker 1 (07:05):
I am dazed and confused? Jay, how are you?
Speaker 3 (07:09):
Me too? But I kind of was thinking about them.
Is this a fishing expedition? Kind of like maybe they
kind of set this up to where they look like
they're feuding just to see who will come out of
the woodworks and bite. What do you think about that?
Speaker 1 (07:30):
I'm not saying that that couldn't be the case, but
if so, quite frankly, I will resent that even more
if they're just playing some kind of game in front
of us. I've been corresponding with a couple of people
one of which, you know, I guess you would call
them a strategist is thinking, you know, maybe this is
a way, a reason, a method to get so many
(07:53):
Democrats who have stood in the way of releasing the
Epstein files to get out of the way and call
for the release because they think they're going to get
at Donald Trump. You know, again, if they're playing that
kind of game, I'm going to be upset about that too. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
I don't like that either, But I was just thinking
that I just wanted to throw it out there, you
know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
It's one of those no win situations. I don't think
no matter how this one comes out, I'm not going
to be happy. And that's a sad thing because five
hours ago I didn't feel that way.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
Fair enough, man, I agree with you, all right, let's.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
Keep our eyes on it. Jay, I appreciate you, buddy.
I'm I'm actually not even supposed to be here tomorrow afternoon.
Well there's no power hour on Fridays anyway, but I
was not supposed to be in a blazer tomorrow afternoon
because I'm getting up at three am to do the
morning show because Mike is off, so I'll be doing
Columbus's morning news beginning at six am. And normally when
(08:46):
I do that, I'm not here in the afternoon. But
with this crap owl of going on, I don't know
that I cannot not be here tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
You want me to do the morning show for it?
Speaker 1 (08:55):
If you don't mind, could you come in? I may
end up doing both shows tomorrow. And if the boss go, hey, wait,
that's extra hours, we can't pay you. You know what,
I don't need paid. I just I feel a responsibility
as a broadcaster to do my job, which is to
bring to you whatever facts we know when they are
(09:15):
relevant to your life, and to allow you an opportunity
to participate and have your opinion and be heard. And uh,
I just I don't know that I can stay home
tomorrow afternoon if this is uh, if this is unresolved,
I just I can't do it. So Mark's probably going, oh,
but man, I was gonna have some friends in and
we're gonna have pizza here tomorrow. Loftus is coming in
(09:38):
tomorrow as well. Oh my gosh, can you imagine this
insanity combined with his insanity, That's gonna be a heck
of an afternoon. That holy smokes. I just again, I
don't see I don't see a wind this situation. Oh
it was all fake. Okay, Then I'm ticked off. Oh
it's all true. Okay, Then I'm ticked off. Oh you
(10:01):
know they were trying. I don't care. I'm ticked off.
There's no way for me to come out of this
moment in time and be happy. And I man, I
hate that feeling. I hate the Queen and I and
and you know, I love that woman. We are we
(10:21):
are so remarkably close that I can't even describe it.
When we talk about stuff all the time, philosophical stuff
and and you know how the world affects us and
so forth. One of the things, it's just kind of
been my mantra of my entire adult life. I do
(10:42):
not mind a fight. I in fact, sometimes I enjoy
a fight. What I do not like, what I cannot stand,
what I will not tolerate or participate in, if I
have a choice, is an unwinnable fight. If there is
no way to win, I don't want anything to do
(11:05):
with it. And as I'm looking at this scenario, this situation,
this this ridiculous dust up between Trump and Musk, and
I will say alleged dust up until I see some
proof of that as well. I feel like I can't win.
I feel like we can't win. I don't see a
(11:27):
scenario here that that concludes us and and comes out positive.
I'm not trying to be a pessimist. I'm trying to
be real, actual, and that is not pessimism. It is
(11:50):
observing what is and talking about it.
