on the phone with me right now.

Though, it's going so great. We're so excited to be
talking about the Teen Takeover interactive event happening this Saturday,
September the twenty seventh.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
How are you, Jeff, I'm doing good. Tell me a
little bit about this event.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
This is happening on yeh, Saturday the twenty seventh, Right, Yeah,
that's trick, So tell me a little bit about it.
Speaker 4 (00:27):
So it's going to be happening from one to four
pm at the RMA High School. It's open to the public,
all of our teens, middle school, high school families, whoever
wants to join us. We have a whole movie theme
going on because the high school used to be a
movie theater and then it's an interactive event. Coasts have
been College is a huge support of this event and
they're bringing tons of interactive activities and programs to inspire

and help our teams navigate their next steps.

All right, yes, absolutely.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
We're taking folks from our dental hygiene, pro grammar, radiology
technology folks who are going to be there to chat about,
you know, the bones and the body and giving and
taking X rays. We'll have people from our E sports
team there to teach students about, you know, playing video
games in college competitively. It's going to be a really
engaging and awesome event for our local team.

So tell me a little bit about this.

Was it You want people to come and dress as
your favorite movie theme for a chance to enter into
as student contest.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
Tell me a little bit about that.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
Yeah, so that's just one component. Like I said, we're
just celebrating their rich history there at RMA High School
being a movie theater. But we will have tons of
prizes whether people are dressed up or not. We'll have
slag bags, goodies, food from Sonics, food from Chick fil A.
We'll even have lots of information on OURBFC. You will

be doing a whole game with our youth about information
they want to know about on financial topics. We'll have
a vendor market, a lot of products that are either
made and sold by tea or that are very team focused.
You know, our teams they need, they need our support, right.
We just want to help create an environment that can

motivate and inspire them to explore their passions and honestly
just have a good time. Right. And there's there's a
lot of pressure on them to to to do things,
but this is really time for them to succome, have fun,
meet with other people and and and find out about
things that are important to them. That's why we have
such a wide array from the sports all the way

to you know, different like welding and things of that
nature happening all at the same time.

Wow, Kyle, tell me a little bit about Coastal bind College.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
Yeah. Absolutely, so. Our main campus is how can Beville,
Texas and b County. We have campuses in Alice, Kingsville,
and Pleasanton in addition to our campus in Beville.

We are a.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
Rural support in college, so we support all of the
counties in the Coastal Bend and we actually just finished
our sixtieth year in existence, so that's been really exciting
for the college. We also recently welcomed our new president,
doctor Zachary Suarez. He comes to us from South Texas College.
We're very excited to have him. Our sports teams are

doing pretty great this year. In fact, I just left
a soccer game. We have men's soccer, we have men's
basketball and men's baseball, we have women's softball, we have
women's basketball. And we are also pretty unique because we
offer housing on our campus and there are not very
many two year colleges in Texas that have that availability

for students that are kind of interested in, you know,
getting away from home but still want to be close
or stay in the coastal vendor or enjoy that small
town feeling, you know, while they while they're starting their
educational career.

So this event is happening on Saturday the twenty seventh,
from one to four pm at the Army Public Schools.
