Can you believe it still here afterfour thousand, nine hundred and twenty one
shows. Here we are with shownumber four thousand, nine hundred and twenty
two, This Morning Show with PrestonScott. I'm Preston. That's Grant Allen
over there in Studio one A.I'm here in Studio one B. It's
Thursday, May fourth. Great tobe with you, I know, May
(00:34):
the fourth be with you. AllRight, we've gotten that out of the
way, and I'm thrilled to havewith us this morning. One of my
favorite guests in the history of thisshow. He is the chairman of Project
twenty one. Horace Cooper. Horace, welcome back, How are you?
Good morning? It's great to goon the program. How are you doing
well? A little allergy, butother than that, I'm really excited about
(00:56):
a lot of the things that aregoing on. I just made of is
it to Washington for the Federalist Societywhere I did a presentation and getting to
see again up close all of Washingtonwhen I used to live here and work
here. It's really remarkable. Youare You sound a little more upbeat than
(01:17):
I think a lot of our listenersfeel right now. How is it that
you feel upbeat. Well, thereare a couple of things. You know.
I didn't get a chest to comeon your program right after the election.
Our friends in the media have donea really, really great disservice by
(01:37):
how they reported what happened in themidterm election in America. Today, conservatives
or the GOP have three times asmany state legislatures with supermajorities, which mean,
like in Kansas, when the liberalDemocrat vetoed the Born Alive Bill,
the supermajority in the state legislature overrodethat and protected unborn children. The same
(02:06):
is true in North Carolina. Andas I say, we picked up we
Conservatives picked up record numbers of statelegislators. We won three statewide races in
Nevada on November twenty second. AndI'm telling you all of this, including
the governorship. I'm telling you allof this to say that the National Journal
(02:28):
and the New York Times said thatif November twenty second had been a presidential
year, Republicans or Conservatives would havegotten two hundred and ninety seven electoral votes.
And I'm going to close this pointwith this, if my beloved Cowboys
were favored in the Super Bowls,by twenty one point and we only won
(02:53):
by three. When the game ends, you better believe I'm wearing my jersey.
What the did was tell us eventhough we won, even though we're
favored, we didn't win because wedidn't win as big as we quote should
have, and a lot of ushave fallen for that. There's some truth
(03:15):
to that, though at least inthe Senate, isn't there Well, it's
some truth to it that in twentyeighteen, President Trump in the mid term
gain seats in the United States Senate, and yet because we didn't do so
well in the House of Representatives,in fact, we lost complete control.
(03:38):
We didn't get credit for the winin the Senate anymore than the Democrats do.
I'll give you a more data.A couple million more Americans voted for
the GOP nationwide than voted for theDemocrats. And thanks to the sense of
(04:00):
the electoral college is shifting so thatthis election twenty twenty four is going to
be the first one with the newelectoral college that is now favoring the GOP
more than the Democrats. The stateSupreme Court in North Carolina was up for
(04:21):
elections, and a couple new votescame on board the state Supreme Court,
and they struck down. Excuse me. They overturned the voter id law that
the old Supreme Court had ruled unconstitutional. And here's something even more important.
(04:43):
They also overturned the ruling saying thatyou can't have the legislature decide the congressional
seats layout without some sort of DOJor NAACP review. Me. In twenty
twenty four, there's likely going tobe a net four seat gain for the
(05:10):
GOP. There are a lot ofreasons to think that we are poised to
push back control of power boat locallybut also nationally, reversing some of the
most odious policies that we've seen ina generation. The new mayor of Realville.
(05:30):
It's the Morning Show with Preston Scott'she chairs Project twenty one, Project
twenty one. Friends of the radioprogram for a long time now, I
mean we're going on well over adecade and hardst For those that are new
to the show, describe Project twentyone. What is it? What's it
all about? So? Project twentyone is a national organization that is promoting
(05:57):
how the mainstream media ignore black Americansthat happen not to be liberals or happen
not to be progressive, and maintainsthe mindset that in America, your race
does not determine your political affiliation oranything really about you. We are made
(06:17):
up of moderates and conservatives and evensome libertarians, and we promote strong families,
we promote personal responsibility, we promotelimited government, and we do so
because there has always been this elementwithin Black America. And what the mainstream
(06:38):
media has told us is that JesseJackson and al Naso Sharpton have more of
a connection with Black America, andwe argue that actually we are in the
mainstream of where America is and whereblacks are, rather than those groups like
those. Yeah, you know, people like me get criticized because we opposed
(07:01):
former President Barack Obama, we opposedKamala Harris, and we're told it's because
we're racists and bigots. And myanswers know they're incompetent and they're wrong.
Obama very competent, but just wrongKamala Harris, though she's a whole other
thing here. Have you ever seensuch a level of incompetence? Actually I
(07:27):
haven't. I was on Fox Newsand I was asked this question I said
at the time, and I standby it. She is the most incompetent
vice president that we have seen inthese United States. Being vice president is
not on the job training. Now. When Joe Biden named her to his
(07:49):
ticket, very little media coverage.Again you have to sort of dig through
and see several polls came out thenin twenty twenty, and they showed that
she was not well liked by blacks. In fact, more black Americans said
(08:11):
they were less likely to vote forJoe Biden with her on the ticket after
she was named. It is remarkable, however, that this administration, which
has been the most destructive to whatI would call the American way, highlights
and if an election announcement, howmuch of an important place of the vice
(08:35):
president has played. I put thisin the category of and as if they
say, if you vote for JoeBiden, you're gonna get Kamala Harris.
I put this in the category offrom US a threat. But isn't Kamala
in fact Joe Biden's insurance policy.I mean, I've always viewed that one
(08:58):
of the reasons why they haven't thrownunder the bus yet with the Hunter Biden
thing, which I still think couldhappen to make the way for somebody else
to run for president, that Kamalabeing the heir apparent to the White House.
If Joe is forced out, ifsteps down or has an issue that
ensures Joe stays on the job.Well, now see that's the irony is
(09:18):
you're exactly correct. So why putin your video how essential she has been.
The only real role that it seemslike she has played is you better
not get rid of me because lookcool you'll be left with but they're leading
with here. Vote for me andyou'll get her. It's really in my
(09:43):
nub, very much off message. But again here's the more important point.
People can agree or disagree, butwhen you look at the level of incompetence,
we've got a press secretary that's grosslyincompetent. We named a man,
well, I guess we named awoman, Rachel Lunine, to be the
(10:03):
deputy a secretary over at HHS,and another man over at the Department of
Transportation. What we're seeing is incompetence, like just unbelievable. Mister Mayorcus border
control, how is that in anyway possible? With his leadership, this
(10:26):
president has named people who have beenreally good at doing one thing, tearing
up whatever it is that they arein charge of. Be careful. Those
racist bridges might drop on you asyou drive by, or that racist bus
might take you to the wrong stops. This is santasy land, and yet
(10:50):
these are the kinds of people thatthis president has chosen. When you think
of Kamala Harris, you have toask yourself, and in fact she is
an exemplar of blacks or women.Doesn't it therefore follow that we can't have
blacks or women in authority. Theyare setting back the notion that talented people
(11:16):
come in all times of groups, because the setup that this president has chosen
is to pick the most incompetent, the most failed people possible. Horace,
always a pleasure. Glad to haveyou back on the program. We'll talk
again soon. Thank you very much. Thank you all right. Horace Cooper
with us this morning from Project twentyone.
