Speaker 1 (00:00):
This he's tuber in the din with dangerous Day. Well,
here's some welcome news for you. The American Farm Bureau
says Thanksgiving dinner should cost you a little less than
it did last year. They crunched the numbers each year
for dozens of Thanksgiving staples like turkey and stuffing and
pumpkin pie. They've been doing it for almost forty years now.
According to the report, the basic Thanksgiving meal for ten
(00:22):
went to fifty eight dollars and eight cents or five
p eighty one per person. That's down five percent from
last year. It's still nineteen percent more than the same
meal cost pre pandemic, but they said you make the
adjustment for inflation, so it's actually the second cheapest it's
been since they started tracking prices back in the mid eighties.
Back then, it costs two dollars and eighty seven cents
(00:43):
a person, but people earned a lot less back then.
Turkey is the most expensive item on our shopping list
again this year, they say sixteen pounder will cost an
average of twenty five dollars and sixty seven cents this year.
I guess you can save a little more money on
your Thanksgiving dinner. Take the extra and buy me something
for Christmas. Deeper in the two, Well, are you going
(01:04):
to get glicked this weekend? It's Gladiator two and Wicked
At the movie theaters, it's this year's Barbenheimer where last
year was Barbie and Oppenheimer both had big, big, big,
big box office draws, so they nicknamed it Barbenheimer. Well,
now Glicked is Gladiator two and Wicked, and because it's
a double feature. A lot of new pole looked at
(01:26):
what rules in twenty twenty four when it comes to
movie theater etiquette. Well. Top things you should never do
in a movie theater include facetiming during the movie, leaving
trash behind when you leave, taking a phone call, revealing
the plot out loud before it happens, putting your feet
on the seat in front of you, bringing your dog
unless it's a service animal, what if the dog wants
to see the movie, eating or drinking loudly, talking full
(01:49):
volume during a movie, taking photos or recording video, or
yelling at strangers because they did something rude. On the
other end of the spectrum, ninety two percent of the
people think it's okay to get up and use the
bathroom during the movie. I would think that would be
one hundred percent. If you gotta go, you gotta go.
You don't want to let it go In the movie
theater right, eighty six percent of people fine with a
plotting at the end. Eighty percent say it's okay to
(02:09):
leave if the movie is bad. Saving seats only fifty
eight percent of people say it's okay texting thirty six percent,
making out thirty two percent, and taking off your shoes
at twenty four percent. And by the way, most Americans
think it's okay to sneak in your own food. Fifty
six percent of people said it's acceptable, twenty seven percent
said no way, and seventeen percent said they're not sure,
(02:30):
which means they probably weren't hungry. To me again for
another episode of Deeper in the Den with Dangerous daved
